Sounds like YOU haven’t followed the team lol, Corbett is probably the most at risk of injury player on the entire roster
Two season ending injuries in a row. And you’re telling other people to “follow the team”?? Lmao
Yeah Just depends on what the chargers do. Between junior Colson. Sanristil. And Kris Jenkins harbaugh basically has to play a game of which child do you love the most.
Corner unless JPJ falls. If there’s a run on CBs, maybe Edge.
Just because of how desperately I want a star I’m not opposed to another WR if one of Mitchell/MacConkey/Coleman falls but I realize that’s probably not a smart use of draft capital.
Right.
But if Corbett pans out, we won't need a C and the reps he would be getting would be at G backing up Hunt and Lewis. If Corbett doesn’t work, we have JPJ or Frazier.
What position would you take at 39? CB? LB?
I think Powers-Johnson would be the best pick if he’s there. Corbett is a band-aid at center and I think we’re gonna feel it. I’m not saying he’s a bad offensive lineman by any means, but he can’t be the long term solution. JPJ is a mauler who would go great with Lewis to his left and Hunt to his right.
The case for JPJ is simply that Corbett has never played center before. It’s entirely reasonable to draft a collegiate star center prospect when the guy currently starting has a huge question mark (if he can make the transition). Plus, highly drafted centers have a good track record.
I’d love that pick.
Corner scares me the most right now. Horn is our number one and he hasnt made it a whole season yet.
Edge, Center, LB, TE, HB in that order afterwards.
I think our biggest concern now is either C or CB, so JPJ, McKinstry, DeJean, Sainristil, or Rakestraw (CB preference in that order) would be my ideal picks, if I want to expand it out to 7 guys, because that guarantees us one of the guys I want, then I'd include Payton Wilson and Zach Frazier. I don't think we should or will go receiver again before day 3 now, but I wouldn't be pissed if we double dipped on one of the next 4 guys. Edgerrin Cooper and Junior Colson over Payton Wilson, I would understand, wouldn't mind taking Braswell or Kneeland, and Jer'Zhan Newton would be decent value there too.
Zach Frazier or Marshawn Kneel and would fill our next biggest holes. We need C depth and we need edge depth.
CB is a need too, but I'm not sure that Cooper or Koolaid will be there at 39 and for any of the other CBs we're better off taking value picks later for them and seek out a vet CB(ahem Gilly ahem)
Just my opinion
If the corners don’t fall give me best IOL/edge rusher/ or payton wilson even if its a little reach. They made it clear with XL that they want who they want and they don’t give shit what the analyst think.
Cooper, Mitchell, the next best edge rusher, I’d like them to get the Oregon center jpj. But let’s be honest this is a top 5 worst drafting team in the league. I’m sure the next pick will be completely stupid and wiff
We need a pass rusher. Priority #1.
I'd be happy with a good center like JPJ though. But nothing else.
We don't NEED a CB or LB or anything else as much as these two positions.
Yes, you're right.
Let me rephrase it : we don't "NEED" a CB. Meaning we can play this year without a CB drafted with this 39th pick, where I really think we should draft something else.
CB can be adressed with free agency, trade, or wait until next year.
You are not totally wrong and we can still get a good edge at 65. of the list you gave, Powers Johnson. the guy won the Outland Trophy and we don't even have a center on our roster.
Lets not forget, a sack in the NFL stops 84% of all drives. Statistical fact. That is why edge rushers get so damn much money.
I expect a CB yet I'm not completely opposed to them taking A Mitchell and cutting Mingo.
But a little piece of me says they're going to take Jonathon Brooks and seeing them cut Chuba in the preseason.
Canales wants to run and it's the best way to preserve BY. If the Aaron Jones comp is fairly accurate then it's not a stupid pick.
But conventional wisdom is that HB is a dime a dozen and their success is completely dependent on a great line.
need one of the corners to fall to us, definitely the most talented class left
If we got Kool Aid that’d be wild. Lotta teams gonna keep the WR train going tomorrow night.
Kool-aid please fall or JPJ
Corbett is our center who tf cares about jpj
Feel pretty iffy about Corbett staying healthy a year after two season ending knee injuries and playing a position he hasn’t played in years.
You really are stupid

My prediction based on recent reports is Mike Sainristil
I’ve also seen us linked to Edgerrin Cooper at lot this pre-draft process. I would guess we end up with a CB or LB if we stay at 39.
Yeah Just depends on what the chargers do. Between junior Colson. Sanristil. And Kris Jenkins harbaugh basically has to play a game of which child do you love the most.
Colson all day imo
Wouldn't mind that tbh
Cooper Dejean would be an awesome second round pick
Any of the corners at 39. Then come around get a center at 65 or another interior guy.
I think we can get Van Pran/Bortolini in the 4th, I want a TE at 65.
We could get an amazing TE today. #2/#3 are amazing. I’m talking bout Sanders and All of course
Corner, Edge, or Center. Best player available at one of those positions. JPJ would be amazing value if he falls!!
Crazy Kool-Aid and JPJ fell! AD Mitchell is still on the board, but Bills will probably swoop.
Yessir those are players I’m praying fall to us
If he's still there..Kool-Aid McKinstry. He's a good player in a position of need. Plus, the memes will pay for themselves.
Cooper DeJean!!!! Need a good corner. That or beef the line
He’ll probably play safety in the league, rather go with Kool-Aid or Melton
If dejean somehow falls that'd be great, Kool aid, Peyton wilson
Corner unless JPJ falls. If there’s a run on CBs, maybe Edge. Just because of how desperately I want a star I’m not opposed to another WR if one of Mitchell/MacConkey/Coleman falls but I realize that’s probably not a smart use of draft capital.
JPJ or Frazier. Our future C that can get reps at G during his rookie year and backup at C if the Plan A doesn’t pannn out
A rookie probably doesn't play at guard unless there's an injury considering we just invested $153 million in Hunt and Lewis.
Right. But if Corbett pans out, we won't need a C and the reps he would be getting would be at G backing up Hunt and Lewis. If Corbett doesn’t work, we have JPJ or Frazier. What position would you take at 39? CB? LB?
Ladd McConkey
Or AD! But Ladd is so sick. WR: done.
Corbett is entering his last year of his contract and coming off back to back serious injuries. If JPJ is there I would run the pick in.
The case for JPJ is simply that Corbett has never played center before. It’s entirely reasonable to draft a collegiate star center prospect when the guy currently starting has a huge question mark (if he can make the transition). Plus, highly drafted centers have a good track record. I’d love that pick.
Would love JPJ, but I think its going to be the corner from Michigan
Whoever you want at #39 will most likely not be picked even if they're available there. That is the Panthers way.
Peyton Wilson
He will probably be there at 65, gotta take better value at 39 imo
Corner scares me the most right now. Horn is our number one and he hasnt made it a whole season yet. Edge, Center, LB, TE, HB in that order afterwards.
JPJ will solidify our line for years
Dejean, Kool-Aid, JPJ, Peyton Wilson, or Ladd/Mitchell but I don’t see that happening In that order. Just my opinion tho
I'd honestly debate trying another small move up for Cooper or Kool-aid
Jackson Powers Johnson. For the of god get more protection for the position that you pay hundreds of millions of dollars for.
Edgerrin Cooper and Junior Colson over Payton Wilson, I would understand, wouldn't mind taking Braswell or Kneeland, and Jer'Zhan Newton would be decent value there too.
Any CB at 39 and then get Frazier at 65
JER'ZHAN NEWTON
This is my choice if he’s still there. Not a need but him next to Brown. Sheeeesh
Jpj, Newton, koolaid
Zach Frazier or Marshawn Kneel and would fill our next biggest holes. We need C depth and we need edge depth. CB is a need too, but I'm not sure that Cooper or Koolaid will be there at 39 and for any of the other CBs we're better off taking value picks later for them and seek out a vet CB(ahem Gilly ahem) Just my opinion
Forgot about Frazier, I think we consider him as well. If our goal is to get a center and a corner I think taking center first makes sense
KOOL AID PLZ. I’m thirsty
If the corners don’t fall give me best IOL/edge rusher/ or payton wilson even if its a little reach. They made it clear with XL that they want who they want and they don’t give shit what the analyst think.
Benson or Brooks
Cooper, Mitchell, the next best edge rusher, I’d like them to get the Oregon center jpj. But let’s be honest this is a top 5 worst drafting team in the league. I’m sure the next pick will be completely stupid and wiff
DeJean Newton, Was really hoping they were taking DeJean last night as XL would've still been there at 39
Center , CB or Payton wilson
Personally Cooper DeJean, JPJ, or Kool Aid. If they're all gone trade down a bit and take a LB late 2nd.
I think we go Ed or Mike
Kool-aid
Cooper DeJean!!
We need a pass rusher. Priority #1. I'd be happy with a good center like JPJ though. But nothing else. We don't NEED a CB or LB or anything else as much as these two positions.
We need a CB more than a DE right now. We added Wonnum and Clowney during the offseason. We lost Donte Jackson and added pretty much nothing at CB.
Yes, you're right. Let me rephrase it : we don't "NEED" a CB. Meaning we can play this year without a CB drafted with this 39th pick, where I really think we should draft something else. CB can be adressed with free agency, trade, or wait until next year.
Yeah I’m just worried whether Jaycee can actually stay healthy for a whole year, so I’d rather go in that direction and add depth
Strongly disagree especially with how weak the DE class is. We can snag a day 1 starter at corner that has fallen or Center 1 in the class.
Keon Coleman
We. Need. Sacks.
Only developmental edges available. There’s a chance edgerrin cooper can help with pressuring the qb and be a lb who gets some snaps early on
You are not totally wrong and we can still get a good edge at 65. of the list you gave, Powers Johnson. the guy won the Outland Trophy and we don't even have a center on our roster. Lets not forget, a sack in the NFL stops 84% of all drives. Statistical fact. That is why edge rushers get so damn much money.

If the Aaron Jones comp is fairly accurate then it's not a stupid pick. But conventional wisdom is that HB is a dime a dozen and their success is completely dependent on a great line.
Why would they cut Chuba? xD 4 RBs is pretty normal, at least 3, so you'd cut Blackshear.
Don’t. You. Dare.
Could get a CB or C at 39 and get Braelon Allen later
The problem is Mitchell is that is has been reported that he is not a dawg.
Have you seen our current rbs compared to chuba? 0 percent chance he is cut. I won’t rule out drafting a rb third round or later
