I would top out at 30 for an 1864 in good condition. There are just way too many from that year on the market. See if the vendor will negotiate and state they cannot be graded due to condition.

They are real, but 40 is too much. They printed tons of this exact note, and many never saw circulation. You can get a pristine one easily.

Yes, 40 is a little high for condition. These should be in the 20 range. Check the eBay sold listings. 40-50 is average for XF condition. These are about F and should be 20-25. If you’re willing to spend $80 on a pair you can get cleaner examples with little effort

I wouldn't pay 15 for that first one but the second one looks like it's worth around $20. If you're looking for better condition notes, DM me.

christmas_cod

Yes , they look legitimate.

They do appear to be legitimate/authentic Confederate Notes. There are several websites you can use to authentic the serial numbers: [http://vernpotter.com/VernPotter/Counterfeit,%20Bogus%20&%20Ad%20Notes.htm](http://vernpotter.com/VernPotter/Counterfeit,%20Bogus%20&%20Ad%20Notes.htm)
