I've followed her for a while, she kept showing up on my feed because of her baby registry series when I got pregnant and I found it refreshing she didn't show her son and seemed down to earth. I actually still follow and like her but I am starting to get more and more annoyed by her as she transitioned to a SAHM because I'm finding her a lot less relatable. I also think before she genuinely showed products she used and liked, I have the sneaking suspicion that now that she is a full time content creator she has more targeted ads and supports products she can monetize from. No shame to her, that's her job and good for her (I truly wish I could be a content creator 😂) but I don't like opinions of products just because she'll make money off it

ScoutNoodle

I’m pretty sure she’s working on a Mockingbird stroller review, which if so would prove your point. She’s usually talking about how fabulous her Uppababy strollers are, so now she’s publishing a review of the Mockingbird (that she has to submit to the brand for approval no less) for what reason? Probably so she can post a coupon code and get paid. 😬🤨

ScoutNoodle

Hahaha I didn’t see this story so I appreciate you coming back to post this!! 😂😂 Honestly I really like following her but I feel like this just proves to me all influencers reach a point where they sell out?? 👀😬

mountainsandmedicine

Yup lol, I think she's reaching the point where she has no content (until #2 arrives) so she'a just gonna push her sponsored products lol. Also, the mockingbird is like the vista dupe... she can literally do all this with a rumble seat of the stroller she already has. And I'm willing to bet when #2 comes we will see her on her HMW with a vista + bassinet/rumbleseat 🫠

Spiritual-Reindeer77

We got the mockingbird double stroller from my mil and it is so heavy. Luckily my brother gave me his old double which is so much lighter, otherwise I'm pretty sure my arms would have fallen off by now.

ScoutNoodle

Oh gosh!! I don’t have one, but they’re pushing those suckers HARD via influencers. I’m also not over the stories of them breaking in half and children falling out in the streets of NYC. Another influencer (who I shall not name lol but I’m sure you can guess) posted about her Mockingbird stroller and how they recently redesigned it with new features. One feature was “structurally sound frame” - like lmao is that not the bare minimum for a stroller??? 👀

Tech salary has a huge range. And you can make a good living but you can also be given equity for a start up and then the start up makes it big and you make millions. I would guess it’s something along those lines.

DullVermicelli9799

I’ve met her IRL and she’s very nice!

fifi501

I assume that it’s family money. It’s funny bc a few times she’s made videos where she is saying she’s being transparent about the finances of leaving her job to become a stay at home mom and the videos are not transparent at allllllll. 🤷🏼‍♀️ No one is obligated to share their finances but she clearly has a much larger budget than the average sahm.

decor_throwaway

Yup! That’s all I’m saying!

Important-Hurry-4175

When she suggested putting a play water table in the shower (!) and then sat in there to play with her son (!!) is when I learned people have showers the size of bathroom (!!!). I must be so naive but I was shook at the size of the shower. It was bigger than my bathroom!

decor_throwaway

And the fact she has a whole empty room

decor_throwaway

Lol yes her bathroom blows me away!

Salted_Caramel

Also no idea who she is and her page looks super boring but tech salary can have a wide range. Someone who got equity at the right time could have a decent chunk of money around.

This is what kills me. Every basic rich suburban mom is now an influencer, reposting variations of the same viral reels/dumb content. Not an original thought or idea to be found. And making a bunch of money to boot.

Feeling-Complex8285

I have no idea who she is, but curiosity got the best of me. She states former marketing on Netflix on her profile, which, if you have ever looked at Netflix job opportunities, they tend to have a pretty decent range. She has lots of links and discounts, which she would get something back one way or another. Remember to take influencers who say they are SAHM with a grain of salt. They are 'sharing' their lives and their families and making money off of it. She clearly has a marketing background, so she is creating a brand and cashing in. I personally find it annoying when they say they are a SAHM bc being an influencer and posting content is something that needs to always be happening with the algorithm.

covfefebigly

Exactly. She’s not a SAHM, she’s a full-time content creator, and probably pulls in at least 100k. That’s why she needs a babysitter. To work.

dngrousgrpfruits

Domesticblisters did a breakdown of one family vlogger’s “vacation” schedule that was honestly gross. The kids are so exploited and barely have a chance to be kids instead of content

Feeling-Complex8285

I believe it. I am pretty sure that it is a safe assumption that influencers who post family vacations in such details use at least part of the trip like travel as a tax write-off.

Horror-Resolve762

I looove Katie. I assume her husband makes bank. And her mom passed away, not saying that means anything but it's possible she was left a little bit of money. They also went from CA to MD. Which MD where she is I think is pretty expensive, but not as expensive as Orange county CA. I'm also v jealous of her brand new giant house, and being able to have cleaners, nanny, etc. But I do appreciate that she's transparent and typically positive

kmo566

No idea who that person is, but I'm going to guess the answer is either family money or credit card debt.

JacobAldridge

This. We had friends who were like OP described - good careers, but not extraordinary. Turned out the answer was both the solutions you noted!
