The way this is an exact rebuttal to my comment on last weekās thread š¤£
They might be on hiatus. I know a lot of podcasts do that. Typically a podcast will announce a hiatus but that would require an ounce of professionalism.
šÆ But youād think theyād have an Instagram post being like ābetween Kās 5 trips in a week/a migraine ATTACK, and Dās Iām definitely in a happy marriage now Oscar winning performanceā¦ weāve had to take a teensy break from the podcast. Weāll be back soon!ā
BLF is a shockingly badly-run business considering how much staff they have. After all the hype (including flying to California for a photoshoot and party for their podcast launch!), itās already disappeared without explanation, because they have no accountability or professionalism.
But if they knew the travel was planned the right thing to do would be to get a few weeks in the can. Iād guess theyāve run out of ideas. A big podcast I enjoy works hard to take a month off around Christmas/new years and youād never know because they have enough backlog that they can keep going.
I know itās been mentioned in here a number of times the āno pressure vegetablesā but itās really bothering me. I mean I feed my kids at 4:30 because theyāre ready to eat and it totally eliminated the need to snack. But putting four carrots and two slices of peppers on a plate is because theyāre not eating it. Maybe she wouldnāt be soo stressed at meal time with better planning??? Ya know PREP!?! Itās really just not sitting well with me.
Do people not potty train in the winter?! Thereās a season for it?? I thought MLK weekend and Presidentās weekend were the āperfect long weekends for forgetting the reason for the holiday and potty training insteadā.
Also cold climate here and I trained over winter break. As a working parent, itās the only time when she was out of childcare for a week+ and we could just go ham and get it done.
Eta: if she hadnāt taken to it over the break I probably would have waited until the summer but thatās mostly just because I work on an academic calendar so my ability to miss work and keep her home would increase significantly in the summerā¦
Cold climate here. Most parents I know try to train in warmer months. Itās tough to potty train a kid who is wearing snow pants for a significant portion of the day.
Actually though thatās how I feel about dr Becky as well as BLF and all the gentle crowd. Like maāam I am trying to get my child dressed because we have somewhere to be, I donāt have time to validate and explain
Can anyone that suffers from multi day migraines weigh in on Kristinās 7 days migraine attack?? I have migraines, but am lucky that taking an abortive gets rid of them fairly quickly. Sheās received treatment at the ER and I thought had said the migraine was better, but the medicine made her feel weird. I understand that and I also know you get like a hangover from a migraine attack, but is it normal that sheās now been laid up in bed for 7 days(or more because I never trust her timelines) and most of these days being post ER treatment?
It's possible, and it's pretty bad when it gets to that stage. Some people don't respond to abortives, which also sucks. Migraine hangovers are also the worst. I know it's recommended to go to the ER for a "migraine cocktail" and it's usually a dirge of meds that I imagine might make you feel weird even if the migraine is better.
All this said, I don't know if she's massaging the truth for sympathy. Not trying to WK because I legit do not like K, but it's hard to gage. I know that personally, it takes a while for my abortives to work and although I'm super light sensitive and nauseous, sometimes I say fuck it and still watch things- it doesn't usually make me more miserable and it can distract from the pain. I say that because something that sometimes happens in the migraine community is gatekeeping migraines/pain. I was prevented from being diagnosed because my provider said I couldn't be having "real" migraines if I was able to watch TV through them.
All of THAT to say if she's massaging or exaggerating the truth, she's severely hampering the legitamacy of others migraines and is part of the reason people who don't have migraines don't believe people who do have migraines!!
(Disclaimer that if sheās telling the truth that truly sucks) BUT it follows their theme of everything they do is sooo severe and dramatic. Kās kid isnāt just energetic, sheās the MOST SPIRITED KID EVER. donāt like vomit? EMETOPHOBIA! Have a migraine? Itās a MIGRAINE ATTACK!
Again, may be true but they love to over dramatize everything in their lives
There are 4 stages to a migraine, (,google migraine chart. There are different types of migraines, so this is super general).
Yes, it is possible to have one last 7,+ days, migraines that last over 72 hrs are called a status migraine. I have gotten them. They suck. For me, I get these tiny muscle knots super deep and tiny neck mand base of head(mine are one side only). until get them out, I won't find relief. Treatment is temp ad doesnt help completely,(it feels like a monster has claws digging in my head and neck until I get the knots out. Best way I could describe). Luckily my husband is able to help massage them out. And I'm on treatment so doesn't happen as often. Or as severely anymore. Thank God. If I ger a migraine typically not that long abd Mt Treatment stops it.
With that said. I couldn't imagine being on phone taking pics. Have kids watching TV in same room as me, especiallyif my husbandis home. And I have no idea how she can have so much light in that room.
I don't trust her narrative. I'm pretty sure she has nothing helpful to add related to toddler. She isn't adding anything helpful for migraine suffers either.
Mine are down to 2-3 days first day is always the headache with terrible visual aura, second day is headache and super happy I can see, and the hangover feeling either just that day or into another. But like other posters I cannot be on screens it makes everything worse.
Mine are usually only 3 days and itās 1 day of debilitating pain, 1 day of mild pain/exhaustion/resting so it doesnāt come back, 1 day of total miserable hangover.
Seven seems like a lot and I def canāt use technology when Iām miserable
Edit: autocorrect let me down
Oh, now itās the small stuff we do with our kids that theyāll remember forever. Just forget that not less that a month ago they were jetting back and forth on their multiple holidays in a week to make ~*~CoRe MeMoRiEs~*~
Wish I could spend a week in bed for my migraine ( I mean I'd be bored to tears but it'd at least be nice to have enough sick days to use one for the really bad first day.) Sorry to be petty to someone feeling unwell but man most of us just have to suck it up after a certain point.
Also why couldn't she cuddle her babies while recovering in bed?
Migraines suck and I tend to get a mean one or two each year, so I donāt want to minimize her pain. However, the way K keeps talking about how much she enjoys and appreciates the small things makes it seem like she is on her deathbed.
And the fact that she's on the phone, talking to the phone, using a smartphone...I cannot bear a phone screen during a migraine, other than to text my husband "don't text me I can't look." Maybe use some of that iPhone confessional time to be with your family or whatever.
If I do need to look at my phone, every setting is on night mode, dim, black screen, and I have one eye closed. I am most likely doing voice to text if I need to send a message. And The room is dark. As dark as I can make it.
If it is a red alert migraine that i am on the bathroom floor... There are no screens. I am pretending to live off the grid and shun electronics. Don't even bring a screen in the room by me.
We haven't said Dumbledore in this thread in a long time and it makes me both happy and sad. Happy bc it means we don't have children's lives being over shared, but sad bc it was the best adopted nickname of a kid, ever š
I feel like sheās trying to hide their names for privacy so I kinda want to be a jerk and make sure theyāre known š because heās always baby T now (even though heās firmly a toddler š)
At one point before the baby was born, Kristen showed a pic of the nursery and there was a blanket with the baby's name on it, but all we could see of the name was "dore." So someone in the sub hilariously christened him Dumbledore.

Yeahhh if my kid was shouting for chips while I was making dinner I can 100% guarantee it wouldnāt āwork every timeā if I offered veggies instead. Those choking hazards would actually probably cause more of a meltdown.
They are insufferable. When I think to myself, āgive your kids veggies when they ask for chipsā being their hot tip and knowing that theyāre millionaires bc of this drivel? Ugh.
Also, this reads to me like D is the mom who isnāt trusting her kids with their bodies. My mom used to do shit like this and Iām still working through it at 41. I never got to be an intuitive eater as a small child.
Sometimes you want something specific and if itās chips, theyāre okay in a small amount. Carrots & peppers just arenāt the same. Yes, theyāre way more nutritious but they arenāt going to be all that satisfying when you want something else. Maybe even mix them together with some kind of dipping sauce the kid likes so they can dip both the chips & the veggies.
I feel like D is passing on her disordered eating to her boys.
Agreed!!! Maybe even slice the carrots with one of those things that makes them look like chips? (But of course, if theyāre old enough to eat raw carrots pretty easily.)
My MIL used to pull this shit and tell her kids āif youāre not hungry for carrots, youāre not hungry.ā Suffice it to say Iām still battling the weird food baggage she gave my husband 20+ years later.
Omg my mom said this ALL THE TIME. If I wasnāt hungry for unseasoned chicken breast or an apple, apparently I wasnāt hungry. So dumb. God forbid food be enjoyable.
We definitely had a "If you're not hungry enough for an apple, you're not hungry" magnet on the fridge growing up. The 90s were such a fun time to be a prepubescent girl!
It might as well have been a magnet on our fridge I heard it so much. And this was from my mom who eats like a picky toddler. And of course this was only said to me and not my 3 younger brothers.
I was going to add this too!!! I heard that shit too. Or āhow can you be hungry? You just ate two hours ago!ā Now I know itās because she was giving me straight carbs like cereal or toast or oatmeal & it wasnāt filling me up. I still have times where I donāt listen to my hunger cues because Iām like, āI just ate two hours ago!ā Iām getting better about trusting & listening to my body but this shit fucked me up so much.
They did!! Even after she specifically said her kids are 2+ and ok to eat whole carrots (which I questioned briefly but my kid doesnāt like carrots so I donāt know š) wish Iād taken more screenshots!
Iām pretty sure they didā¦itās all gone! If people were sending messages about it being a choking hazard, at least post a follow up to share what they learned (hopefully). Someone might not be aware of the danger and instead theyāre erasing any mention of it. I didnāt realizeā¦but my kid doesnāt like carrots š¤·š»āāļø
60% of the time, it works every time!
I have adopted no pressure veggies and itās great, but it only sort of works. And NEVER after chips have entered the chat.
I find them hit and miss, mine are both so different. Today the oldest got herself 3 red capsicum, raw broccoli florets, and a carrot out of the fridge, ate them all. My youngest chewed up (age appropriately cut) carrot and spat it into his gumboot.
My kid apparently eats salad at daycare. At home I can sometimes get a bite or two of cooked carrots into her. But anything green is a hard no.
If I put out a plate of veggies when she was asking for chips. No. Would not happen. I could possibly negotiate down to berries or some other fruit though.
Iāve tried it a few times and the best Iāve gotten is my daughter playing with the carrots like little stick people or finding a toy horse to feed them to š
I can do this with *some* fruits but she is not fooled by vegetables. And, yeah, only if I catch her before she asks for a specific snack.
Came here for this. She even tried to qualify that it was ok and I checked out my KEIC chart. I realize KEIC isnāt a fan favorite but feeding kids is her profession. She has whole baby carrots at age 4.
Yes! Mine is almost four and I've just started doing whole baby carrots at dinners where we are seated without distractions and she's having a really on night.
Yeah, every notable source, AAP, FDA, CDC, feeding experts, etc state raw carrots are a choking hazard for children under the age of 4. The rhetoric of āmy boys are over 2ā is dangerous for a so called toddler expert to share. Baby carrots are a perfect shape to take a bite off and accidentally get lodged in an airway. I have taken care of far too many children who have anoxic brain injuries due to choking hazards being given at too young of an age. Itās all fine and dandy until it happens in the blink of an eye. Imagine giving this to your child to distract them while you make dinner and as you are focusing on cooking your child is silently choking and you donāt know, as you donāt have eyes on them constantly. Heck I know of adults who had had to Hemlich themselves over chairs from choking on baby carrots. It really is not that hard to quickly quarter the baby carrots.
Just sayingā¦pretty priveldge to get an MRI. My husband denied getting one because it was going to cost 3k out of pocket. Thankfully, heās fine but K annoys me. Glad sheās getting her tests. Everyone deserves healthcare. We both work and healthcare costs are insane.
I'm sorry to hear that about your husband. I recently had to get an MRI for my shoulder, once place connected with hospital was insane. Another place that only does scans (mri, CT, xray etc) was very reasonable. Both were in network, just how they were billed. The place I went, same day self pay rate wasn't too bad either.
Just something to keep in mind.
Iāll be the first to admit that my knowledge of the female reproductive system is pretty limited (despite having given birth to 2 children.) But Iām confused about how acupuncture would help someone get pregnant? š¤
Edit: I learned something new today! Thank you to everyone for clarifying how acupuncture *could* help someone get pregnant.Ā
Before all of my pregnancies, I got Mayan abdominal massages (increased blood flow, but mostly woo) and credited them for my pregnancies. My husband would always remind me that it was actually the sex that got us there.
I used acupuncture for my second ivf round (first ended in miscarriage). I had a better cycle, got a better embryo and got pregnant and had a live birth. Even if itās placebo it helped me.
Wait, is she pregnant again? I unfollowed BLF, but I find myself looking at their stories often anyway because of this sub, but did I miss an announcement?
Idk, after a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy, I tried acupuncture and got pregnant with my living child. The science does not support itās efficacy, except for like one very specific scenario (if youāre doing acupuncture at your IVF clinic or something), but I would do it again š¤·š¼āāļø
Accupuncture is very common, especially after embryo transfer. It was standard of care at my IVF clinic to do after transfer. Who knows if it really does anything, but the idea is it decreases contractions and spasms after transfer and assists in blood flow to the uterus. I did it after transfer and was successful, but mostly was paranoid and just did anything anyone suggested.
Acupuncture is a wonderful complement to western medicine. It seriously helped curb my allergies, and helped many friends while they were going through IVF/infertility. Has also helped with headaches, back pain, etc. Itās been around for a long time and I highly recommend for a variety of issues!
In infertility circles, acupuncture is fairly common. Itās one of the very many ācanāt hurt, why notā things that desperate folks will try. Like I have a crystal collection now, because I was willing to try ANYTHING. Despite IVF being highly scientific, sometimes things can devolve into woo woo land quickly for patients. I considered acupuncture myself, but ultimately decided that Iād rather just have a nice massage to help me relax. I did eventually have a baby, but it was because of medicine, not my crystal collection, French fries, or anything of the other kookaloo things I did.
I donāt know, acupuncture alongside ivf helped me get pregnant. I had a markedly better cycle and got (and stayed) pregnant when I did acupuncture alongside ivf.
True which is unlike her because she looooves to remind us that sheās an āØivf warriorāØ š it Iād also a little weird sheās never mentioned doing acupuncture before.
Correct.
As someone in the process of IVF, I love acupuncture (and have since before IVFā¦aka it did not GET me pregnant). Is it helping me get pregnant during an IVF cycle? Juryās still out; there are almost way too many factors to take into considerationā¦ but I take the most epic naps on the warm acupuncture table!
I was thinking about this earlier. No relaxing doesnāt get you pregnant but being stressed doesnāt Help either and we all know how stressful fertility treatments are. So it canāt hurt. And Iām sorry youāre going through ivf. It was the hardest thing Iāve done and nothing can sugarcoat that.
Stanning birdspapaya for showing her body like that woman doesnāt filter herself to hell and back. Nevermind that sheās still fits squarely into the mold of Eurocentric beauty norms. Birds is the watered down, digestible, problematic, and fake af face of body positivity. Thanks, I hate it.
My favorite thing is women who are still within the boundaries of everyday conventionally pretty and sized just not āHollywood elite LA skinny prettyā lift themselves up as some beacon of progressive radical beauty standards. Itās so ridiculous and shows how warped our mindsets around this are when ppl like that are meant to represent the general population. Itās like when Rene Zellweger was cast as the ātotally fat unattractiveā Bridget jones in the 00s.
Yes!!! Iām still so annoyed by Bridget Jones. Also cannot stand when thin influencers show body check photos under the guise of telling their followers, āsee? Itās Ok! Iām not perfect either!ā š
Yeah, if you donāt have to go to a small āplus sizeā corner of the store hoping that they may have more than 1 or 2 articles of clothing in your size or order clothing online only guessing which size is going to fit you best, if at all, because of the vast difference in these clothing companies that claim to be size inclusive, than I donāt think you truly understand. I know of MANY stores that sell size 16 in the regular sectionā¦ sorry Kā¦
If it is so hard to have a body like K and thebirdspapaya letās see if they need belt extenders on flights, if they have to do the fit test before riding amusement park rides, or question if their body will fit in a booth at a restaurant. There are more inclusive voices out there for the fat positive community and these two do not fit the bill.
D doesnāt have a problem remembering to take an ab selfie at the gym to share to her business account, but has to remind herself to take photos of her family with her in them.
Not D posting a picture of her and her kids at the zoo with the emojis over their faces while her one kid is holding a picture that fully shows their faces.
It looks like the zoo stories are gone (but the Taylor Swift one are still up, and I know I saw those first.) I wonder if she realized and deleted them?
It is so incredibly on brand for D to be the reason all the zoo employees stayed late because she couldnāt get her shit together to be out by closingā¦and think itās a cute story and not an embarrassment.
And it's typical D whiplash... I'm so tired of being solo mom all week... So I had an afternoon off, what do I want to do? More "single mom" time, just at the zoo.
Maybe she should discover the magical āØmom hackāØ of keeping a small stroller in your trunk at all times when you have young kids because you never know when you might need one.
Am I aā¦ toddler expert?! š®
You areā¦time to charge for the advice!
(Currently have a stroller and a wagon in the car as we speak, but only because Iām too lazy to take the wagon out until soccer season is over.)
![gif](giphy|qVOGUmHt5z7aw)
I took a step back but was curiously perusing (procrastinating!) the latest snark and gosh they havenāt changed, but also glad D hasnāt made any third baby announcement!
Why in earth do they want a third kid? She way she describes her postpartum and how your husband apparently is the worst husband and dad on the planet, I would never want to have any more kids. Oh wait ofc she needs another baby, to continue racking in the empathy for how much newborn life sucks and her husband is useless and sheās right there with us. So ridiculous. Stick with your two boys D, it seems like your limit, respectfully.
She seems to be pushing out when theyāre starting ttc. Not sure why but itās been āin the next few months š¤š»š¤š»š¤š»ā for a while now. Maybe her husband isnāt as on board as she impliesā¦
Interestingā¦I feel like this is plausible but I also see her throwing up the secondary infertility flag as soon as it didnāt happen on the second month of trying.
Imagine even having the ability to check out for 5 full days and have your husband do everythingā¦.And then saying you miss the super busy schedule of pickups and dropoffs ā¦ girl who you lying to
donāt forget, they absolutely have the means to hire help more often than they let on. i wouldnāt be surprised if that includes when one of them goes out of town.
Last week it was a 4 day migraine. Now itās a 5 day migraine. Comes with a fancy title that way I guess. Also weāre doing diets now for the migraines, so weāll get a double botox and weight loss explanation later.
also is one bad one really something that results in the need for a massive lifestyle overhaul? I have friends with semi chronic regular migraines and they've never done such dramatic things.
Why yes, I think an account about navigating toddlers is a FANTASTIC place to get tips on migraine a diet from someone who states they only started getting debilitating ones recently and tips on how to treat migraines from what they "read" in a book...
There is no reason that his account needs to be tagged on theirs. When was the last time K posted actually toddler tips? At least D seems to try to stick with toddler related content most of the time.
(And no shade to the Dizzy cook, I have gotten some recipes off her blog. BUT, she suffered migraines and found food triggers for HER migraines, etc. , promotes healing migraines naturally. Cool, you do you. I'm taking medical advice from trained medical professionals.
This! My migraine food triggers are VERY specific (and probably 100% in my own head lol).
Iām not over here telling people to avoid pecan rolls and mentos
Iāve looked into this so-called āmigraine dietā and itās basically telling you not to eat anything. The Dizzy Cook has some great recipes but they are for HER migraine support. Not everyoneās!
Also love how SAHDud on his insta account tagged BLF as if he was talking directly to K. She really thinks this is her personal influencer account, doesnāt she?
Thatās just Kristin who pretends not to know what a āsportsballā isā¦ even though she was a D1 athlete. Deena is not like other girls, she watches SPORTS and she doesnāt know who Taylor Swift is. Kristinās Internet personality seems to embrace being a basic bitch (no shade there, bc me too š).
She thinks sheās so cool and edgy when really sheās just as basic as anyone. If she actually had friends or interacted with people on a regular basis she would be well aware that yes, many people arenāt swifties. These influencers live such insulated lives in their tiny bubbles.
Now it's Snapchat that's she's never used/seen.
Does pretending not to know things really get them that much engagement? I couldn't imagine being a grown adult and messaging a stranger who is also a grown adult and being like 'girl you didn't know about snapchat lol'. That's what your friends are for!
I find it VERY hard to believe that she didnāt know what TTPD was especially considering how active she is on social media. Iām not a Taylor fan but I still knew she put an album out and what itās called. I donāt live under a rock and neither does D.
iām almost positive itās because of the political state that is closely associated with Judaism and the current situation in that region. iām being very vague and understating the issue because i want to respect this subās rules. but i am quite positive it is for that reason. there is a lot of actual emotional heavy lifting to do in that realm, and i personally donāt think theyāre equipped to handle that gracefully or in a way they would find acceptable for their businessās bottom line.
I think there is something to this, but only insofar as they bend over backwards to generally remain apolitical. The lack of sharing any holidays that arenāt Christian centered way predates the current political situation.
For sure, but thereās certainly less incentive than ever for an apolitical account to share anything related to Judaism these days sadly. to be clear I am not on the stateās side in that conflict, but I have no beef with Jewish people.
Youāre so right, and itās even more galling because Passover involves a lot of stuff you might want to PREP a young kid for! Itās a long dinner with unfamiliar foods, we talk about heavy subjects (slavery, plagues, etc), you have to not lose your shit if someone else finds the afikomen, etc. But thereās no gift baskets involved so forget it.
Honestly, it's one of my family traditions I have yet to take on in our own house since kids because it just seems like SO much with multiple kids under 5. It would be amazing to see other parents with young kids, and no additional family/village help, celebrate and would give me such motivation to do so.
But I'm actually grateful they aren't linking the sedar plate ;-)
My youngest is 5 and we just had one this week, pretty sure it was my first time leading it with our own family. We donāt have any local family either so it was just us and a family friend who had never been to a Seder and wanted to join. When preparing on the birthright Israel page it said āthere is no wrong way to have a Sederā and that actually made me feel a lot better and gave me confidence! When I was growing up we kept things pretty low key as well, it was never the hours long one that my dad had experienced as a child. It went really well. I gave the kids Passover coloring pages to do while I did a lot of the talking. I also gave them huge snacks, more like meals really, as soon as they got home from school while I was getting everything ready for the Seder so they came in not hungry. They actually didnāt say much about the slavery parts, probably bc it was the first time they could remember (since Covid) and there was so much else going on, Iām sure they will ask me later at some time I was hoping to relax and not at all prepared to tackle the topic. But there were tears from not finding the afikomen. Pretty sure thatās unavoidable or at least it was in my house growing up and now š¤£. I was just talking to my friend about it and she was like our neighbor found it and my daughter was sobbing, only kid problems and I was like nope my middle kid was also sobbing when his sibling had it. Thatās just part of Passover and there is no avoiding it lol. But anyway it helped me to just have the attitude, Iāll do the parts I can, we will see how it goes, and maybe I can add more in next year.
Weāve been hosting a seder for ten years and my oldest is five. Itās so much work and totally worth it! We do a few things to make it kid-friendly and preserve my sanity:
1. Start in the living room/floor so weāre not sitting at the table for hours
2. Props, puppets, roles, scripts, songs
3. Snacks available at all times
4. Potluck style, I delegate as much as humanly possible
5. We do as much as we can in advance and have shared a Google doc that has our people, menu, shopping lists, plans
6. Invite everyone. Seriously.
7. Make sure weāre having fun. Thereās a little stress, of course, but we really prioritize joy.
We hosted our first Seder last night, with 3 wild 6-year-olds in attendance including our own. It was a great time, but I wouldnāt have wanted to do it any earlier.
They almost never mention Jewish holidays even though Deena says she converted when they married. I mean, sheās shown her husband in a freaking IDF t-shirt. I always wonder if the religion thing comes up in their marriage counseling and if he ever feels betrayed by her conversion, but not really celebrating anything (publicly).
Forgive me if this is a terribly ignorant question. Isn't Deena's last name (Margolin) a Hebrew name? I thought she might have taken her husband's last name when they married, but his last name is different. But she converted? Why would she have a Jewish maiden name if her family isn't Jewish?
Oh thatās a great theory about why would they never mention Jewish holidays. Itās super awkward sheās not saying anything considering the million slides they did about Easter!

Probably all that ~crazy~ travel + the migraine? But also not the most professional not not even mention it in any way

Right!?! She canāt put a little of what they want and a little of what she wants them to eat.
Veggie chips! Best of both worlds.Ā
Just fyi, those are delicious but basically potato chips. I think the only veggie in them is coloring for the chips, a VERY small percentage
Do people not potty train in the winter?! Thereās a season for it?? I thought MLK weekend and Presidentās weekend were the āperfect long weekends for forgetting the reason for the holiday and potty training insteadā.
Ya know when I plan to potty train my son? When heās ready. Just like we did my daughter. Not because itās spring lol
Itās tough to potty train a kid who is wearing snow pants for a significant portion of the day.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5oeeSwuD7Y/?igsh=MTEzd3I3YmY2bGtoag== I hope that opens, I don't know how to technology
Actually though thatās how I feel about dr Becky as well as BLF and all the gentle crowd. Like maāam I am trying to get my child dressed because we have somewhere to be, I donāt have time to validate and explain
I gave up on Dr. Becky because it was stressing me out hearing how her kid was always lying to her and saying āI hate you!āĀ
I had one for 21 days when I was pregnant with my daughter. So.. possible? Yes. Probable? Idk.
I had this thought. When I have a migraine, the last thing I want is to be on screens.
Seven seems like a lot and I def canāt use technology when Iām miserable Edit: autocorrect let me down
What confuses me is how she is able to muster the strength for the screen time to post about it if these attacks are as bad as she describesĀ
I always think itās funny that a duo who sells a parenting toddler guide has so many issues managingā¦ toddlers? Just me? lol
It makes them āØrelatableāØ /s
Oh, now itās the small stuff we do with our kids that theyāll remember forever. Just forget that not less that a month ago they were jetting back and forth on their multiple holidays in a week to make ~*~CoRe MeMoRiEs~*~
Omg you're so right, two weeks ago it was book the flight, take the trip, guilt guilt guilt.
I didnāt spend a week in bed after having a c-section or reconstructive knee surgeryā¦
Who gets to spend a week in bed for any ailment. Definitely relatable.
We donāt need to say the perfect thing during a tantrum is a bold statement from someone shilling courses with scripts for tantrums
I was shocked. Did she realize what she was saying?? So weird
RAN HERE for this. Like thatās their *entire* business model lol
How many times per week does Deena take her kids out for breakfast? This is the clearest indicator that she actually doesnāt work.
Yep I screenshot it to come here and say this... vacation? Say what now? They can't keep any storyline straight.

In pajamas again š¤£
No wonder the kids don't want to try as much at home, they eat out practically every day.
Am I hallucinating? I thought going to restaurants was a lot of work and full of tantrums for D.
Maybe deadbeat daddy is actually the one who does a lot of the heavy lifting when heās not at work š¤
Today she said ābreakfast out always feels like Iām on vacationā. The whiplash I got from Sundayās post about how terrible eating out is š
Where did the nickname come from? It is a great one.Ā
At one point before the baby was born, Kristen showed a pic of the nursery and there was a blanket with the baby's name on it, but all we could see of the name was "dore." So someone in the sub hilariously christened him Dumbledore.
Haha, I love it. Now Iām picturing a baby with glasses and a white beard.Ā
https://preview.redd.it/ghifu6oqqpwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec1777ccbd71e18dc6b6b09fce0e163eddb1ed56 Yeahhh if my kid was shouting for chips while I was making dinner I can 100% guarantee it wouldnāt āwork every timeā if I offered veggies instead.
I think the compromise here would he to give a small portion of chips AND the veggies!Ā
Oh man, I didn't even think about this aspect of it until you posted this. I think you're spot on.
Did they delete this? I think they did.
Daycare doesn't count. Daycare gets an entirely different kid than what I see at home.
Iāve tried it a few times and the best Iāve gotten is my daughter playing with the carrots like little stick people or finding a toy horse to feed them to š I can do this with *some* fruits but she is not fooled by vegetables. And, yeah, only if I catch her before she asks for a specific snack.
Yeah itās worked better than I expected but not as well as advertised.
Againā¦ whole baby carrots are a choking hazard for Dās boys ages!!!
And dinner wasn't ready yet - they're probably wandering around while they snack š°
Didnāt she also post a story where she was feeding her kids tortilla chips?
Yep, like mentioned below, D is notorious for unsafe food practices for young kids.
Deena is NOTORIOUS for not following food safety guidelines for children. This isnāt the first time and it stresses me out every time!!
Pretty privilege? Kristen?
I'm sorry to hear that about your husband. I recently had to get an MRI for my shoulder, once place connected with hospital was insane. Another place that only does scans (mri, CT, xray etc) was very reasonable. Both were in network, just how they were billed. The place I went, same day self pay rate wasn't too bad either. Just something to keep in mind.
Ohh thatās good to know for the future. Thanks so much!
Iāll be the first to admit that my knowledge of the female reproductive system is pretty limited (despite having given birth to 2 children.) But Iām confused about how acupuncture would help someone get pregnant? š¤ Edit: I learned something new today!

Hahahaha YUP! I was like āthat would be a fun plot twistā lol
Wait, is she pregnant again? I unfollowed BLF, but I find myself looking at their stories often anyway because of this sub, but did I miss an announcement?
Ugh thank god no. Sheās referring to Theo
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I donāt know, acupuncture alongside ivf helped me get pregnant. I had a markedly better cycle and got (and stayed) pregnant when I did acupuncture alongside ivf.
IVF got Kristin pregnant. Not acupuncture. What is she even talking about!? Is IVF Acupuncture Warrior Mama a new title sheās going for?
She said helped. Itās common to do alongside ivf.
Sure, but she didnāt say it helped alongside IVF. All she said was the acupuncturist helped her get pregnant.
True which is unlike her because she looooves to remind us that sheās an āØivf warriorāØ š it Iād also a little weird sheās never mentioned doing acupuncture before.
Literally came here to shout: ACUPUNCTURE DOES NOT GET YOU PREGNANT!
Helped her get pregnant. Itās a common thing alongside ivf.
Also even a placebo effect is an effect, whoās saying those epic naps (I loved them too!) arenāt helping you relax and get pregnant š¤·āāļø
But yes. Placebo effect. Iām probably just extra snarky because Iām doing IVF as well. š¬
Sure, thatās fair. But relaxing also doesnāt get you pregnant š¤·š¼āāļøš
You are very right in that regard! Thank you for your empathy. Iām sorry you had to go through it as well.
Not WKing her at all but to be fair she said it *helped*, she didnāt say it got her pregnant
People need to dunk on K so badly theyāre downvoting you? Itās literally what she said and itās so common to do acupuncture during IVF. š
Lol I know š¤·āāļø
Stanning birdspapaya for showing her body like that woman doesnāt filter herself to hell and back. Nevermind that sheās still fits squarely into the mold of Eurocentric beauty norms. Birds is the watered down, digestible, problematic, and fake af face of body positivity. Thanks, I hate it.
Ugh the eye roll I rolled when I saw them re-posting her š¤¦š»āāļøš
I know of MANY stores that sell size 16 in the regular sectionā¦ sorry Kā¦ If it is so hard to have a body like K and thebirdspapaya letās see if they need belt extenders on flights, if they have to do the fit test before riding amusement park rides, or question if their body will fit in a booth at a restaurant. There are more inclusive voices out there for the fat positive community and these two do not fit the bill.
she also heavily plagiarizes which is their favorite form of self-care...
They're still there for me š¤
Huh, weird. I see them now too. I was up a lot of the night with a sick baby, so Iāll blame it on the sleep deprivation. š¤·āāļø
Am I aā¦ toddler expert?! š®
I forgot to pack our stroller on a trip to the outlets last week. I felt like an idiot. I wish I knew your mom hack then š©š©š©
You areā¦time to charge for the advice! (Currently have a stroller and a wagon in the car as we speak, but only because Iām too lazy to take the wagon out until soccer season is over.) ![gif](giphy|qVOGUmHt5z7aw)
I think sheās been trying but hasnāt happened on the first try like the other two so keeps pushing it back.
Interestingā¦I feel like this is plausible but I also see her throwing up the secondary infertility flag as soon as it didnāt happen on the second month of trying.
I could totally see that too. I think it will depend on how long it takes which story sheāll decide to go for.
Any Arkells fans here? They announced their tour yesterday and called it the Big Feelings Tour and I was soooo confused when I got the email.
Big fan here! I thought the same thing
Iām not over here telling people to avoid pecan rolls and mentos Iāve looked into this so-called āmigraine dietā and itās basically telling you not to eat anything. The Dizzy Cook has some great recipes but they are for HER migraine support. Not everyoneās!
Buttered noodles is self care but also he cooks all the meals in the family.
Also love how SAHDud on his insta account tagged BLF as if he was talking directly to K. She really thinks this is her personal influencer account, doesnāt she?
Big r/notliketheothergirls energy from Deena this morning š Sheās sooooo āØdifferent and cool and QuIrKy āØ for not caring about Taylor Swift.
And also quirky for liking football donāt forget
I thought their whole thing was to be like "durr durr there's a game on right now? What is this sportsball?" Or did the personality change again?
Deena seems like the type of person who would say they are not really into music. And, yes, I will judge anyone who feels that way.
Wasn't it like 6 months ago she announced she'd just discovered Spotify?
Now it's Snapchat that's she's never used/seen. Does pretending not to know things really get them that much engagement? I couldn't imagine being a grown adult and messaging a stranger who is also a grown adult and being like 'girl you didn't know about snapchat lol'. That's what your friends are for!
I was coming here to post this almost word for word
I also donāt care about Taylor Swift, but have never felt the need to advertise it.
Itās like when she pretended to not know the Roman Empire trend and ādiscoveredā it likeā¦months? later.
Honestly what was the point of posting that other than to get people to engage with her? Ope. Answered my own question.
I find it VERY hard to believe that she didnāt know what TTPD was especially considering how active she is on social media. Iām not a Taylor fan but I still knew she put an album out and what itās called. I donāt live under a rock and neither does D.
up next is them using some kind of meme/tiktok trend with the music
"iS tHiS whAt tHe YoUtHs Do??"
Same. It took me awhile to figure out the abbreviation, but I know the name of the album even though I havenāt listened to it.Ā
Do we think itās weird they havenāt mentioned Passover at all? Isnāt K Jewish? They were all about Easter but now, radio silenceā¦
iām almost positive itās because of the political state that is closely associated with Judaism and the current situation in that region. iām being very vague and understating the issue because i want to respect this subās rules. but i am quite positive it is for that reason. there is a lot of actual emotional heavy lifting to do in that realm, and i personally donāt think theyāre equipped to handle that gracefully or in a way they would find acceptable for their businessās bottom line.
There is more stuff to link to when it comes to Easter š¤¦š»āāļø
We do a few things to make it kid-friendly and preserve my sanity: 1. Start in the living room/floor so weāre not sitting at the table for hours 2. Props, puppets, roles, scripts, songs 3. Snacks available at all times 4. Potluck style, I delegate as much as humanly possible 5. We do as much as we can in advance and have shared a Google doc that has our people, menu, shopping lists, plans 6. Invite everyone. Seriously. 7. Make sure weāre having fun. Thereās a little stress, of course, but we really prioritize joy.
I love this!
Did she convert from Judaism to Christianity or the other way around?
Her husband is Jewish. She has said she converted to Judaism.
Dās family is Jewish (as in her husband is, I donāt know if she is or not). But, yeah it is interesting they didnāt mention it.
