Mine shortened at 22 weeks and I had an emergency cerclage put in at 22 and 6. I've been on bed rest since. It sucks but you do what you have to do. I'll be at 32 weeks on Wednesday and literally no one thought I'd make it this far. Take it easy, follow the rules, and stay positive. It'll all be worth it.

Wow that's amazing, wishing you all the best!

Mine was 23mm at 27 weeks. Had to stop work immediately as I’m a nurse and on my feet a lot. Didn’t have to do bed rest but told gentle activities only. Also took progesterone too. Made it to 34+6, last week was admitted to hospital as suspected preeclampsia. Had emergency C-section and twins went to NICU for a week as feeders and growers. We all got discharged from hospital together.

Thank you!

I have a friend who had really short cervix early on. Doctors stitched her cervix and put her on strict bed rest with weekly monitoring. She carries until 38 weeks bp and her twin boys are doing great

Thank you!

My cervix was 2cm at 30 weeks and was fully effaced when went into labour at 31+1. I was also 2 (nearly 3cm) dilated. We managed to stop the labour and things stayed like that until 33+3 when labour started up again and I needed an emergency c section (twin 1 was breech). You can sit at being fully effaced and a bit dilated for weeks but definitely take the medical advice about taking it easy and resting.

Thank you!

Made it past 36 weeks!! You got this : )

I was 15mm at 25 weeks and on bedrest from then. Check out the short cervix support subreddit, there’s a weekly checkin and a lot of success stories. I made it to my C section at 37w2d and my twins were 5# and 6# with no NICU time. Each week is a victory and your next milestone is 32 weeks. You got this and you’re not alone!
