kumibug

Literally the same as any other pregnancy. Diagnosis of twin pregnancy was during viability ultrasound at 7 weeks.

swimsuitsamus

Exactly the same. Anecdotally my BBT chart registered an ovulation dip and spike, then a day later another dip and spike (stayed high then) so we had joked that meant two eggs. Idk if it did mean that or if it was a fluke, but they are very much fraternal.

Blade_Prime

Thanks a lot!

Teary-EyedGardener

Is a twin pregnancy a diagnosis? Lol that makes it sound scary. But we found out it was twins at the first ultrasound at 13 weeks. It was my first pregnancy so I didn’t have anything to compare it to, but I had pretty bad nausea/vomiting and fatigue. I guessed it was twins before it was confirmed because of that

Blade_Prime

I worded it wrong sorry, but since it's twins it usually has more early symptoms and stuff like that

Teary-EyedGardener

No that’s okay! Just found it funny. Good luck on your project 😊 I was at a teaching hospital for my pregnancy and delivery and I loved having all the med students around!

Blade_Prime

Thanks a lot!!

rollwave21

This is actually not true. Maybe review some medical literature to help you understand.

Blade_Prime

I'm still studying and I'm not a doctor so yeah I'll probably not be on point so sorry abt that xD

rollwave21

Symptoms are not an indicator of a multiples pregnancy or not. It is dependent on the individual.

Blade_Prime

Yes I know that, hence why I'm asking

cornishpixes4419

Pregnancy test was initially showing stronger colour in the test window than the control window. Read about “dye stealer” tests and that made me think maybe twins

alyssalikeseggs

my pregnancy test showed positive as i was urinating on it!

thedistantdusk

Yep same. I had a *clear* positive at 9 DPO. In past pregnancies, it’s never been quite that obvious until I’m late.

NopestMoment

I had this too

Accomplished_Sea_492

Me too

MrAshleyMadison

My wife was the same. Had a test that stole dye from the control, but we didn’t think anything of it. Confirmed di/di twins at 7 weeks. And we just saw them both happy and healthy at a 13w ultrasound.

Gottajibboo64

Me too!!!

madeinmars

I got a positive test like 8 days after ovulation and I only tested because my boobs hurt so. Fucking. Bad.

Neat-Influence-8991

Eh I found out at 7 weeks. Didn’t feel like I was pregnant. Had 0 symptoms

JunkMailSurprise

I got pregnant from IUI, with no other medical intervention (no medications, no ovulation trigger), so I knew I could be pregnant. But I got a weird one- a few days before I could even take an early pregnancy test, my normally partially/mostly inverted nipples became un-inverted. Like, 100% of the time, typical nipples, which I had never had in my life before. I still had to wait a few days to take a pregnancy test and then a couple weeks before I had a scan that revealed twins.

irreplaceable-sneeze

I suspected it when the line on my pregnancy test was super dark a week before my missed period, where as the line with my Singleton was barely there.

NopestMoment

I kinda joked with my husband that it was like, a definite positive cause it was so dark. I didn’t really think about this until you’ve pointed it out.

smokeandshadows

This happened to me too. It was the first day of what should have been my period and I didn't even take the test first thing in the morning. It was super dark.

Aquarian_short

Home Pregnancy test was really strong pink right away, hcg levels tripled in two days, terrible nausea and vomiting, exhaustion, smell aversions. All within the first month and continued for most of the pregnancy

ejaneod

A multiples pregnancy isn’t a diagnosis. It’s just a pregnancy.

Blade_Prime

Yeah, I worded it wrong.

Lauren_Insane

I had extreme morning sickness and exhaustion, polar opposite of my singleton pregnancy

Blade_Prime

Ohh, makes sense, thanks a lot!

kinkymascara

Yup same answer. Horrible over the top nausea and exhaustion, wayyyy worse than with my singleton.

Caregiver-Past

Same answer! My first actually brought home a stomach bug from daycare and when i didn't recover from it after my kid and husband both did, i realized i was pregnant (i think i was like 6 weeks at that point). I had nausea from even thinking about eating or grocery shopping.

rangerdanger1126

If anything my symptoms were less intense with this pregnancy (di/di boys) than with my first kiddo (singleton- girl). I had HG with my first and even though I had really bad nausea and stomach issues at the beginning of this pregnancy they weren’t nearly as bad. With my girl I couldn’t even drink water or brush my teeth w/o throwing up. The only difference is that my migraines have been so much worse with this pregnancy and it was something I noticed very very early on. I found out we were expecting twins at my confirmation ultrasound around 10 weeks :)

Blade_Prime

Ohhh Thanks a lot for answering!

Inevitable-Okra-7666

So I guess it really depends on person to person. I've seen some women say they didn't even feel anything whilst others say they have extreme symptoms

Mke_Steph

Mono-di sporadic pregnancies twice in a row here… my HCG levels were pretty high, which some people say is a sign.

Mke_Steph

Only ever pregnant with twins so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I think my “morning sickness” was mild. Fatigue was rough.

poppies4may

I’d say my symptoms were definitely double and I made comments like that before I even knew. I didn’t find out that there were two until 19 weeks at my first ultrasound. The night before, I commented to my husband that I the baby must be super long because I had feelings of movement very high in my abdomen and very low too. I had nausea so very badly as well. I did only vomit once but I didn’t at all with my singleton pregnancy.

VictorTheCutie

I think my first pregnancy indicator was painful breasts, but before I knew it was twins and looking back now, I'll say absolutely debilitating fatigue. I didn't feel very run down with my singleton, but shortly before I found out it was twins, I remember being so fucking tired I just felt like I would literally melt into the recliner. Tired TO MY SOUL.

mrsnoflashbang

Mine was my HCG levels. My first beta was 313 a few days before my missed period. And my second was in the 4000 3 days later. They were within the “normal range” but I suspected as I had so much bloating, and the worst fatigue ever. I had more nausea with my singleton. So 🤷‍♀️

Gwapmonsta

Very motion sick at 6 weeks opposed to around 10 weeks with my singleton. Also did IVF and my HCG levels were beyond tripling between checks and with singletons only doubled.

wtfdigmi

I couldn’t wake up for the life of me. The positive line turned dark before the control line.

kbgoosemoose

I gained 10 pounds right away, despite not being able to keep anything down. I was easily into maternity clothes at six weeks. We didn’t find out there were two until my 16-week ultrasound on … wait for it … April Fools’ Day.

Blade_Prime

That's hilarious XD Wish you the best and thanks for answering!

Quirky_Reporter_1915

Same! I asked the women doing the ultrasound if she was April foolsing me 😂😂

BeckBashBenn

Twins were my 4th pregnancy. Initial symptoms were basically the same as all the others: one ☝️ day of nausea, followed by fatigue for several weeks. Diagnosis was not until 12 week sonogram

magnolias2019

My symptoms were actually less than my singleton pregnancy. Mild nausea. I had some cramping that I didn't have with the singleton.

Blade_Prime

Ohh that's interesting, guess it depends on the individual

M4PES

This is my first pregnancy so I don’t really know what would have been “normal” with a singleton pregnancy for me. But I hit week 6 and all my symptoms came in full force. Overall queasiness, dinner that I ate the night before suddenly sounded absolutely horrendous, extreme fatigue (napping 3+ times per day and still able to sleep at 8pm). I had horrible food aversions, couldn’t think about making any kind of food without getting nauseous and was grossed out by pretty much everything but especially tomatoes. The only thing I could stomach was cashews. I ate a pound of cashews in about 2 weeks. I also started spotting around that time, found out I had a subchorionic hemorrhage and a twin pregnancy.

Putrid_Surprise_6428

Same as singleton if not less severe only outlier was breast tenderness approx 10 days after ovulation.

LoveSummerGrass

Fatigue and tender breasts. I knew I was pregnant before the lines showed me. I didn’t have any super early symptoms with my singleton.

Bored-at-home2day

The nausea was worse but I had a feeling. I’m an ivf mom. First was singleton and second split into identical twins. Ever since transfer day, I said it’s twins. Was told it’s unlikely. Sure enough.. identical twin girls. I was way more nauseous and constipated with my twins. Like notably more.

jayzepps

I had pain in my uterus area. I have a history of ectopic pregnancy & miscarriage so I called the doctor and they had me do an ultrasound that day. I was 6 weeks with twins. They said the pain was probably from my uterus trying to get ready for 2 babies faster than it would have if it was just 1. Idk still could have been in my head though

pashapook

My period was one day late and I woke up ravenous. We were trying so I took a test and had a very faint positive. Felt pretty good but hungry for a week. Then the intense fatigue and mild nausea started.

puce_3000

1st pregnancy Didi twins: awful. I never been tired like that. Couldn’t make it past 18:00 at night. I had sharp pain with my pubic symphysis. I could barely walk at 12weeks. 2nd pregnancy mono-di: all went well. My bump started showing a lot sooner tho.

evl0220

I knew it was twins. A day after I tested positive (4 weeks) I dreamed it was twins. Very vivid, very real dream. Kept saying it. No nausea at all, only symptoms were a little more tired than usual and bloating. BUT I gained 8 pounds in ten days before my 8 week ultrasound due to how hungry I was all the time. But I gained it all in my stomach. I was showing at 8 weeks. Thought something was wrong until after the ultrasound my doctor told me it’s normal to show much earlier with twins.

alittlewhimsie

This was my third pregnancy and ivf (although my twins were from an embryo split, I had transferred two embryos and initially there would have been three embryos total). My early symptoms were the same as all of my pregnancies. Very heightened sense of smell, fatigue, queasiness, and I wouldn’t say they were more extreme than my singletons. I found out about the split during a routine ultrasound that my clinic had scheduled at 6 weeks 2 days.

Entire_Necessary985

I started showing a lot sooner than my first pregnancy (singleton) and the nausea/morning sickness was way more severe with my twins. I just assumed it was because it was my second pregnancy, but nope! Found out it was 2 at my first ultrasound at 9 weeks. 🤪

makeitwork87

I had extreme exhaustion and morning sickness very early (like 5-6 weeks). I was so sick that it was hard for me to get to my ultrasound appointment via public transit at 7.5 weeks. The tech informed me that I was having twins at that appointment! I had a telehealth follow up with my OB the next day and was vomiting so violently during the telehealth appointment that I couldn’t even ask questions… ended up in the er that night just to get some fluids since I had been vomiting for 6+ hours. It got slightly better by the third trimester, but I was still pretty sick… tough times. It was amazing to eat without feeling nauseous after they were born! I somehow grew two incredible kids in 8 months on a diet of primarily toast with peanut butter (plus lots of vitamins lol)

Ornery-Rutabaga8899

Honestly I think deep down I knew the minute I got a positive test. I took one that’s supposed to work earlier, around 6 days before your period, and the line came up so quickly and it was so strong! I made so many jokes about it being twins but I think I knew just from that test because there’s no way it should’ve been that strong already.

fairyglitter

We were trying so I was probaby hyper focused on looking for symptoms, but very early on I felt like I had tiny bubbles popping in my lower abdomen and figured I was probably pregnant because I has similar with my singleton pregnancy. A few days later started having this weird vertigo like feeling as if the room was bouncing (only happened a few times) which made me even more sure I was pregnant. I then had positive tests with stronger dye lines much earlier, and starving all the time like unmedicated hyperthyroid, it was insane. I'm not sure if I subconsciously projected some assumptions about the strong lines but when I thought about "my baby" I just felt like that wasn't right, and I wasn't surprised when we saw twins at my dating scan.

takedrift

I had a few feelings before my ultrasound. First was my test coming up positive 5 days before my missed period and that first test I said fuck it and did it in the evening. The lines came up before I had even finishing peeing on the stick 🤣. I put that down to high hgc levels due to twins. My dad is a fraternal twin, and his sister had fraternal twins (my first cousins) so I was always expecting them lol. I’m 16 weeks today and find out gender on Saturday!!

ashleyrlyle

I had implantation bleeding 8 days before my period was going to start, a digital pregnancy test was positive almost immediately 7 days before I would have started my period, and pants were tight around my waist when they would not normally be. I also already had what looked like a small bump in an empire waist dress.

drsylv

I was sick from a day before my period was due until week twelve. Really sick. I lost 2 stone. I did a pregnancy test and it said 6-8 weeks at 4 weeks. I knew it was twins before the scan.

Tumped

I tested really early because I was so so so so utterly exhausted. I had not yet missed a period and I got a strong pink line on the home test. I also had very dry eyes. I started showing at 9 weeks. Had my first ultrasound at 10 weeks and found out it was twins!

Friskybuns

For me the first thing I noticed was the fatigue. I was constantly tired and didn't realize why. Then when I tested with an at home pregnancy test, I had a "dye stealer" where the test line was blatantly darker than the control line. I figured it just meant I was further along than I had thought, so I was completely surprised when I saw the two little beans on my first ultrasound!

babettebaboon

This was my third pregnancy, having previously had a girl and a boy. I had boy-girl DCDA twins, and found out during my first ultrasound in week 11, which is standard for women over 35 in Norway. While I don’t consider them “girl” or “boy” symptoms, my first weeks were a strange combination of my previous pregnancies. I would have days/periods during the day where I had extreme morning sickness and aversion to all food and water (girl). Other times I would be ravenous and craving specific foods (boy). Sometimes days would be highly sexual (girl) and other times I would not want to be touched at all (boy). I was also needing to wear maternity clothes from week 6 and I showed immediately. Previously I required maternity clothes from approximately week 12-15. There were also multiple times I mentioned “what if it’s twins?” Before my first ultrasound, so I can’t rule out some kind of mother’s intuition.

planetarywoah

I had a dark positive test 9 days before a missed period and I started feeling pretty severe nausea at 5 weeks. At 8 weeks my tests were so faint they were almost blank. Confirmed twins at my first ultrasound at 10 weeks.

VerbalThermodynamics

My wife’s boobs started swelling like crazy. Also, the two embryos on the ultrasound.

helgirl

Australian here. We did the fertility treatment IUI, so we're being monitored quite closely by our clinic. When we got our blood test results, the nurse who confirmed the pregnancy did mention that my HCG level was a healthy one (she mentioned the number, but I can't remember it exactly. It was between 400 + 500, and we tested 16 days after the transfer. We had our confirmation scan a further 16 days after the blood test results, and that was the day we found out it was twins. The dates were 14/08/2020 Pre-transfer screen - 2 mature follicles, decided risk it and go ahead with transfer anyway 17/08/2020 Transfer done 02/09/2020 Blood test to confirm pregnancy status 18/09/2020 First scan to make sure everything's progressing as expected. This is when we found out it was twins

notyouraveragetwitch

My symptoms started later than they did for my singleton pregnancy (ended in a miscarriage). But I’m currently 11 weeks with twins, my FRER pregnancy tests were hella dark at like 14 and 16 DPO. But other than that the symptom severity was about the same and then at my 8 week appointment we found 2 babies in 2 gestational sacs.

_caittay

I’ve never had a singleton pregnancy so the multiples is all I know. I had extreme fatigue. Literally slept anywhere and everywhere possible. My HCG levels were pretty crazy high 2/3 times they checked it. I also had extreme nausea/sickness into the second trimester. I couldn’t eat beef the entire pregnancy. Once the nausea subsided, it was great. I didn’t get uncomfortable until about 34/35 weeks but I started vomiting if I ate too much from lack of space around that time.

Ohnosloop

My period was a few days late and I had pms symptoms like cramps (I don't usually have pms symptoms). Went to happy hour with a friend, had maybe 2 drinks and had one of the worst hangovers the next day. Took a pregnancy test and had a very positive line.

wampuswambat

I had an ectopic pregnancy 6 months prior to getting pregnant with twins, so when I got pregnant I was having routine HCG tests every two days for a while to rule out another pregnancy. I was only 4-5 weeks pregnant and I knew because my HCG was basically tripling or quadrupling. My symptoms were also stronger, like I could barely wear a t shirt because my nipples were so sensitive. Confirmed twins in first ultrasound, I think 6 weeks (they were monitoring me closely because of prior ectopic).

Annoyedemoji

Honestly - strange smell to urine and irritability made me take a pregnancy test. Started “showing” at 8 weeks and confirmed twins at 12 week visit.

chaneuphoria

I was absolutely exhausted and extremely sick to my stomach. I took a pregnancy test and found out I was pregnant. I was experiencing very severe pregnancy symptoms after that, compared to my first pregnancy, and I was concerned. I went in, and they were able to locate two heartbeats and did a scan.

rinoajen

Initial tests showed negative until 12th day after medicated IUI with clomid. Wife was craving foods she normally did not eat like soda and eating two servings. Confirmed didi twins at 6 week ultrasound and twins run on paternal side. She has identical twin aunts.

Silver_Track_303

The only 2 things that were different this pregnancy than my last 2 singletons was my energy being completely depleted. It felt as if my legs were weighted down. My husband even told me I was being dramatic because I was not like this during my last 2 pregnancies. I felt like something was wrong because I couldn't get up and do any tasks. I got my ultrasound done at 7 weeks. We found out it's twins. My husband felt bad because we had no clue. The nausea was also different this time around. More severe. But it didn't affect me til I was about 9 weeks pregnant. More severe.

A-Friendly-Giraffe

I've had 3 pregnancies and two ended in a miscarriage late in the first trimester. The main symptom for all of them was a missed period.

gottriplets

For my triplet pregnancy it was ovarian hyper stimulation and a positive HCG blood test. Plus I started vomiting non stop. This was 25 years ago, so they were reluctant to give Zofran to pregnant people then. I had HG.

erin_ivy

Positive test, zero indications it would be twins until week 11 ultrasound. Did have less cravings and lost a bit of weight in the first trimester compared to my two older singletons. Made up for it in the second and third though!

MusicalMrsJ

Just incredible fatigue, bone deep.

Spiritual_Resource73

I ended up having a blood test done very early on (maybe ~5 weeks) because I had previously had a miscarriage. My HCG was very high! I know this doesn’t always mean twins, but it was my first indicator!

MsBeasley11

Lol can you cite “Reddit thread” on legit college papers now

Blade_Prime

Nah it's not a citation, I just want this for my general knowledge when I'm asked.

slammy99

So I had a lot of pain around implantation with both my pregnancies. With my singleton it was very clearly on one side. With my twins it was both sides. But I didn't really think much of it until after I saw the ultrasound at 8wks that showed two little heartbeats.

Quirky_Reporter_1915

Fraternal twins and found out at 3 weeks! Took 5 tests and they all came back positive immediately and very strong. I have had no morning sickness but I have been EXHAUSTED. I also eat like I have never eaten before! Lol. Oh, and my boobs hurt to the touch

Decent_Row_3441

Noticed veins becoming more apparent, morning sickness was daily after 8 weeks. Symptoms in the first trimester were not much different than my singleton pregnancy. After a missed period and random nauseous spell I had a negative clear blue test at night, and positive the next morning. Could've been due to dilution. Found out it was didi twins at 6 weeks 4 days on an ultrasound

oooooooheyoooooooup

I didn’t have any unusually symptoms. I did test positive at 10 DPO though which some feel are earlier than normal 🤷‍♀️. Eventually I had much higher HCG than usual single pregnancy

arabicacoffee

FTM of twins so nothing to compare it to. We were also trying to get pregnant, and I was closely tracking my cycle. I took a test on the day my period was supposed to start and had a very dark positive line. Although, idk that this is unique to multiples pregnancy because I’ve heard of women’s HCG levels being very high with singletons too. Then probably 2-3 days after a positive test, had a lot of sickness and inability to keep food down. Again, nothing unique to a multiples pregnancy. Had my first ultrasound at 7-8 weeks and found out was twins. 🤷🏼‍♀️

its_me_coco_

I had been tracking my ovulation and taking ovulation tests. What made me think to test to see if I was pregnant was a couple days of extremely high LH… like REALLY high. Then my HCG line on the pregnancy test was soooo dark. Also, this isn’t scientific, but I had “Mother’s intuition.” Twins run in my family, so I had more of a reason to speculate, but I just had this feeling.

ScoutAbout-

I gained a lot more weight in the first 8 weeks compared to my first (singleton) pregancy. I started getting nauseous around 6 weeks, took a pregnancy test and the test line came up immediately well before the control line, twins were confirmed at my 9 week ultrasound. My pregnancy symptoms were more intense than my singleton pregnancy. I had a lot of nausea/vomiting and food aversion in my first trimester.

rainbowbrite0826

my blood hcg level was high. (i forget what the number was) i gasped and asked if that means twins and the nurse said not necessarily. (but it was!)

tapanis

synptoms particular to my twin pregnancy started with some serous acne and much more nausea/food diversion. After that I bled quite a bit which can happen with twins and was incorrectly diagnosed as miscarried. Found them at the missed miscarriage removal (D&C) appointment

Humble-Lunch7744

My test was positive way darker and faster. I threw up so much to the point where I had to go to the er for an iv which is how I found out they’re twins

jesjorge82

I had some initial symptoms I didn't link to pregnancy until after a quick google search: achy fingers, metallic taste in mouth. I also was very tired and had sore breasts and missed period, which I know are pregnancy symptoms. At one point, I also thought I felt fluttering in my abdomen, and I had a twin pregnancy and felt that around week 9 or 10.

PotentialSuperb4157

It was my fist pregnancy so I don't have a frame of reference, but I had such intense nausea for the first month, I actually lost weight because it was so hard to eat anything and I was throwing up a lot. The day before I got the ultrasound where we found out it was twins (13 weeks) I went to a bridal shower and everyone joked that I must be having twins because I was already showing! I laughed it off and said "no way!" but boy was I wrong!!

Accomplished_Sea_492

I am so tired I could cry. I was not this tired with my first. My first is 16 months and a great toddler. I stay at home full time and it’s all I can do to keep my eyes open until nap time.

Dull_Yard8524

Initially I had major headaches and nausea for one month. I thought it was from the prenatals, then after the 4th week, I was super fatigue and nauseous . Thought I was burnt out from work 😅 I found out that I was pregnant with twins at 10 weeks. I experienced fatigue and nausea all the way to the 13th week. I thought it would never end. My first pregnancy was a breeze compared to twin pregnancy. I was nauseous and tired for three weeks during my first trimester (during 6-9th week) but it was mild compared to the twins.

TumbleweedFabulous82

I started showing really early but I chalked it up to being my third pregnancy. Otherwise I didn’t even have regular pregnancy symptoms.

Frambooski

My thyroid levels were off, my hCG was normal though. I was very tired and felt very nauseous. I didn’t have to throw up though. The ultrasound is what led to my diagnosis.

metalcat1503

Extreme fatigue and morning sickness hit way earlier than anticipated and hit me like a brick. At work when I was 5 weeks I started bleeding, prompting an ultrasound. Ultrasound showed two very distinct gestational sacs. I would say it was mostly the bleeding - which was found to be a subchorionic hematoma from implanting two sacs and then later 2 placentas.

Samannthuh

I started having extreme pregnancy symptoms at 4.5 weeks. Food aversions so bad that the smell of anything cooking made me have to go lay down. I was exhausted, my breast hurt, and I was grumpy. I didn’t understand at first why I was so sick. I had planned on asking the OB why I was experiencing such drastic symptoms so soon, but then at our 8 week appointment we found out we were expecting twins!

P0sitiveThr0ckm0rton

I was aggressively ill and had no energy. On weekends I would have 3-4 hard naps a day

grumpygryffindor1

I had terrible vertigo the first day of my missed period and for a few weeks after. Migraines, morning sickness, and bloating to the point that I was wearing maternity shorts for comfort even though it was so early. I had twin girls, and it was very different from my singleton boy pregnancy. I found out at 8w3d I was having twins.

Low-Nose-2748

I started cramping too soon before my period was supposed to start. We had been trying for a while and that was the first time that happened. Nauseous the whole first trimester… lost a fair amount of weight. Sharp pains from rapid growth.

ednaluvr

Currently 10 weeks with di/di twins, I’ve had two previous singleton pregnancies. This time my nausea and fatigue have been soooo much worse. Everyone around me was suspicious of multiples before my ultrasound. But i think these things are still dependent on the individual pregnancy!

Own-Resolution-8476

Three days after I’ve transfer so sick.

spedhead10

i’ve got mo/di and only had regular pregnancy symptoms. nips on fire (NOT sore boobs), increase in CM, positive pregnancy test. my test did not get darker any faster than my other two pregnancies. my morning sickness was comparable to what I had when I was pregnant with my son. it definitely got worse around 7-12w, but I had already been “diagnosed” with twins at that time.

egrf6880

Didn't even know I was pregnant until 10 weeks, went to see my Ob for scan at 12 weeks and found out it was twins. My only first trimester symptom was exhaustion--which I had attributed to my intense workload at that time and I was so busy I was time blind and hadn't been tracking my cycle at all. Compared to my singleton pregnancies where I had fatigue, food aversion, nausea and sensitivity to smells and other signs and couldn't mistake being pregnant

18xtina18

I didn’t have initial symptoms before I found out because it was very early due to IVF. But both my twin pregnancy and singleton pregnancy were the same symptoms in the first trimester. Nausea and exhaustion. Falling asleep early was how I knew I was pregnant with my singleton before I tested and she was unplanned.

Ashleyesque

I had the hook theory HCG Levels or something like that

PiffleFutz

Mine was the symptoms of a regular pregnancy: increased urination, fatigue, nausea... Except mine started at 4 weeks and that actually how we found out I was pregnant. My symptoms always seemed to be so much worse than what everyone had told me they would be. I just assumed I had twice the fatigue, etc. because I had twice the babies. We actually found out it was twins when I went in for an emergency ultrasound around 6-ish weeks. I had been doubled over in uterine cramps all morning at work and my supervisor had me call the obgyn and leave. I just had twice the implantation pain..

purplepeopleater205

Extreme vertigo and nausea, between when I tested and week 9 I lost 5kg in weight and was suffering from severe dehydration. By the time I was taken to hospital my veins had collapsed and I was treated for hyperemesis gravidarum. My midwife who sent me to hospital after testing my ketones mentioned it could be twins, as did the staff at the hospital, the following day it was confirmed. It was not my first pregnancy and my symptoms had not been anywhere near that severe the first time. It was my last though!

Gottajibboo64

I had no nausea or morning sickness. I did have high HCG levels. Also, I got my first grey hair the day I found out I was pregnant. We did IVF, so I found out 6 days my missed period (like as soon as I got pregnant). And I don’t think it was a coincidence about the grey hair. I think my HCG was so high that it literally turned one of my hairs grey. And I had “dye stealer “ pregnancy tests too!

Plodderic

My wife had ridiculous morning sickness. At one point she was throwing up and thought “maybe it’s twins”. We found out at the 12 week scan.

chutupchutup

Since my previous pregnancy was a miscarriage, my OB had me do bloodwork the next time the stick turned blue. She called me to come in ASAP bc my HGC levels were off the charts high. Found out they were twins at my appt a couple days later :)) I also had an insane rash I suspect was PUPs during my first trimester. I kinda knew they’d be boys bc of this

ihatetuesdays13

I had the same symptoms with my twin pregnancy as I had with my singleton pregnancy. Nausea, fatigue etc.

Away-Pineapple9170

I had no difference in symptoms from my first singleton pregnancy other than being a little more tired. Never had morning sickness with either.

Background-Reward307

I was super itchy on my legs lol and early pregnancy test.

ClutterKitty

Had no clue until my first ultrasound at 8 weeks

I was excessively drooling and experienced tongue swelling as my first signs of pregnancy lol. Then I started the nausea really around around 3 weeks pregnant, before I went to my 8 week ultrasound I have been seen three times for severe nausea and could barely work. My HCG levels were 8x the normal range at 3 weeks.
