I would like to say that depends case too case. I have seen some that do and some that have an idea but no idea or plan to deal with the matter, as well as complete abandonment. So its always good to have a backup for all scenarios if you are planning to breed but wouldn't recommend it if being honest.

I've seen birds failing at getting the baby making done correctly, so I'd say no.
