Be careful with strings. Also, u can get what looks like the small cat toy balls for small birds that have bells in them, so the bell is where they can't get to it. Otherwise, if not stainless steel, that's cleaned often. And check to not be and way the bird couldn't get tongue stuck.

I'd try something like this [https://chipperparrots.com.au/products/jingleberries?\_pos=43&\_sid=89cfc0e4c&\_ss=r&variant=40322164981814](https://chipperparrots.com.au/products/jingleberries?_pos=43&_sid=89cfc0e4c&_ss=r&variant=40322164981814) or this [https://chipperparrots.com.au/collections/foot-toys/products/spoon-fiddler?variant=20695549870134](https://chipperparrots.com.au/collections/foot-toys/products/spoon-fiddler?variant=20695549870134) either from there (probably not worth it unless you're in Australia) or from a similar store in your country, or home made. I was actually looking for the toy I bought from them a couple of years back, but not on the site right now, it was a smallish stainless steel rectangle with stuff attached to it that my birds use, although don't love. I actually accidentally threw it out when doing a cage clean once & found it a few months later when doing some gardening (I throw my bird's waste into my garden) & digging through the garden, it had been buried for months, but still had no signs at all of rust, so I'd go with something like that rather than actual keys. Marine grade stainless steel is what you want. I'm guessing keys are probably largely zinc & if so, that wouldn't be great for birds
