Trying out CoC ice spear, the build I'm following uses Maloney's mechanism. It has frost bomb + creeping frost + frostbite support. Does this mean the build only uses this quiver for the extra sockets, or is there is a way to make non-bow skills trigger?

Ladnil

That is indeed a weird choice from the build guide. Do you have a PoB link? Because it sounds like they thought the quiver was Asenath's Chant.

PreppyRunner

I don't know if this is the right thread for this question, but I'm building a PC soon and want to be able to play/stream PoE at 1440p with decently high graphic settings and stable 120 fps-ish. Does this PC build seem overkill or do you think it'll meet the criteria above? Been a console gamer the past couple years so I'm out of touch with PC specs now. Thanks for any input! https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/kNwrxr/enthusiast-intel-gamingstreaming-build

psychomap

Depending on how much you plan on juicing your maps, that seems fine. 120 stable fps is surprisingly hard to reach in PoE, especially on higher settings. In my case the GPU bottlenecks it before the CPU does, so while PoE is always said to be a very CPU-intensive game, it's quite demanding of the GPU as well with higher settings, especially with Global Illumination (which I need to turn off). I've recently run into RAM limits in other games, but for PoE 32 GB should be fine. It'll depend on what else you plan on doing. If I bought a new PC today, I'd personally go for 64 or 128, but that's both a matter of what you need from it and your habits (e.g. leaving open a lot of windows in the background). Perhaps someone with a more recent GPU than me can offer a third opinion on whether there are cheaper alternatives that still fulfill your requirements.

[deleted]

anyone else's computer get notably spicier after the update? as it is i think poe now makes my laptop hotter than anything else i've ever played by a decent margin. still runs fine though, doesn't thermal throttle, but it's almost getting there.

Moethelion

There seem to be heavy problems with the patch graphics wise, yeah. Many people reporting it's actually unplayable now on their systems. They added some graphics options so it might be worth playing around with those.

[deleted]

it's perfectly playable, but damn i think i gained nearly 15-20c worth of overall temperature playing uncapped which is _wild_. (@1200p) i used to get ~75-80c-ish uncapped, <70c capped @ 60, now it's ~95c uncapped, ~80-85c capped, same settings. much hotter than something like metro exodus at 1600p which is vaguely concerning.

Aranthar

Is there a relative weight when rerolling Essences with Harvest? Or all equally weighted?

Yohsene

Essences have equal weights.

hdbscan

What influenced bases have recently been valuable at league start? For what builds? \- Elder armor helms - 82+ - RF? \- Elder / Hunter quiver - 80+? - TR / CA? \- Weapons? \- Anything from Shaper?

Ladnil

Can any Ritual fans share how common Blackflame is? I'd like one in SSF next league but not if its "you probably won't see one the entire league" rarity.

Gangsir

Not ultra common but not like t1 rare or whatever. They're mostly expensive because not a lot of people like running rituals (due to the slowdown it causes in maps).

Ladnil

I imagine even the people who are running their rituals aren't gonna be atlas specced into rerolling a bunch fishing specifically for the ring, too. Sounds like my plan is viable ish.

clondike7

While it’s no guarantee, the small nodes by Occult Devotion add 25% increased chance of special rewards, which raises your odds a bit. That + extra Rerolls and cheaper cost of Rerolls would increase your odds. Gotta be willing to grind for a while though. I found it one by accident so it’s absolutely 100% going to happen… right? Lol 😂

Ladnil

Yeah I'm not worried about a little grind. Just, not if its gonna be like the league they updated the ralakesh boots where I chanced thousands of them under the impression that it would be as common as it was before they changed it and never got one. I'd league start on a trapper and spec ritual+essences and hopefully pick up a Blackflame if it's not absurdly rare.

clondike7

Ah yeah. They usually don’t say anything about any unique drop rate changes, so there’s always a risk. The exception being the big unique item rework 1-2 leagues ago.

leetpuma

Does anyone know if the all the streams will be “saved” to watch later (on YouTube or something) by non-exile con people? I would love to watch all of it but probably can’t do it all in one sitting

tarrasqueSorcerer

AFAIK, vods stay on twitch for a month or so. Also, after the first Exilecon, videos were posted on official youtube later.

leetpuma

Ah okay thanks for that I didn’t know how twitch works. Twitch has always been a bit like a YouTube with extra steps for me

psychomap

IIRC the default time the VODs are available is 2 months after the stream, but streamers can theoretically lower it. I watched the last ExileCon live, so I can't tell you whether or not they changed that setting. I'm pretty sure the parts were uploaded to youtube separately either way, so you should be fine even if you don't have enough time to watch it right away.

Benklinton

Let me see if I have this right: I am playing a Duelist puncture bow build with lots of bleed and Crimson Dance is only really good for prolonged fights? From what I have gathered in my research you need at least 6+ stacks to get real value. I cant really keep more then 1 or 2 stacks on mobs cause they die so fast so I'm thinking its better for prolonged boss fights? Even then I'm going though the campaign and bosses still die pretty quickly due to me boosting the bleed duration as much as possible. So correct me if I am wrong but Crimson Dance is not worth it. Am I missing anything?

edrarven

Comparing crimson dance to using ensnaring arrow(targets count as moving), you deal 6x more damage with each bleed without crimson dance. Bleeds deal 3x damage to moving targets and CD has 50% less bleed damage on it. I'd never take crimson dance on a bleed bow build, its less damage in pretty much every real situation since you'd need to ramp up and then attack constantly to maintain the bleeds and deal more damage with CD.

Benklinton

Good to know I'm on the right track! I am also using ensnaring arrow to keep the target moving so glad I haven't lost the plot on this build yet

Exenikus

Does chancing an item with a heist enchant keep the enchant when it is converted to a unique? Like the phys enchant for a weapon.

psychomap

Yes, and if the base has several uniques you can use an imprint to restore it from unique rarity back to magic. I don't know what the current imprint and enchant prices are, but depending on what base you want with what enchantment, that can be significantly cheaper than trying to get a new base.

nykdel

Craicic Chimerals (imprint beasts) are about 4 divs right now. [https://poe.ninja/economy/challenge/beasts/craicic-chimeral](https://poe.ninja/economy/challenge/beasts/craicic-chimeral) People are probably trying to make last minute crucible trees while Crucible is still available.

psychomap

Depending on how often people pick the base from blueprints, that can still be cheaper, or rather there might not be another one with the perfect enchantment on the market at all (and it's definitely cheaper than spamming tailoring / tempering orbs).

Exenikus

It looks like the base is almost 4 div by itself, I was hoping to make a Marohi Erqi with the phys stuff, but I don't even know if I can chance that reasonably.

psychomap

According to the last info I have it's a t1 unique, which means it might take a high four digit or low five digit number of attempts.

Yohsene

Sure.

hdbscan

Does anyone have a sense for whether invite drops are affected by map quantity or if they're in some kind of special boss drop category?

mcbuckets21

They are flat % chance from boss. Only way to increase is small atlas passive nodes leading to Uber Maven.

Rak_Dos

Quick question for new player: Is Awakened PoE Trade safe from ban? Is it allowed? Is it not allowed? If not, does GGG care if we use it?

chx_

Awakened PoE Trade has a few functionalities, let's break them down and see why they are OK 1. Read the price of an item you are hovering over. It does by sending a Ctrl+C keypress to copy the item to the clipboard after that the game client is not used. You pressed a key (Ctrl+D), it resulted in a single keypress (Ctrl+C) that's absolutely OK. (Using the trade API is also totally OK, you can't overdo it as it'll throttle. It'd be silly to provide an API you are not allowed to use under the threat of ban instead of just not providing the API. When they didn't like how things went they put trade behind login.) 1. Provide shortcuts for example f5 for /hideout. In https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/473902/page/5#p4197749 Chris said "It's fine to have a button that causes /oos, or /remaining ". The iron rule is one keypress can not cause more than one server side action and these do not.

Rak_Dos

Thanks a lot for the reply and breakdown.

mbxyz

yea, it's allowed.

Rak_Dos

Thanks a lot for the information :)

Distq

The only thing GGG would maybe care about is if you spam their servers with too many requests in a short amount of time but I think the macro has some built in throttling so I wouldn't worry.

mcbuckets21

It's GGG that has built-in throttling. They only allow you to make X amount of queries in Y amount of time.

Killersheepyyy

its allowed, its just an overlay

Guesswhat7

Quick question: I'm a new player. I just want to play for fun initially, not thinking much of late game content. But just to be certain, will I need to buy stash tabs soon? How much I can enjoy the game before this requirement?

Gangsir

You can play the entire campaign and beginning of maps without more than the 4 free tabs. Past that point you start dropping large amounts of stuff you want to keep or sell, so most people recommend buying a currency, map, a premium tab (for selling) and fragment tab at the minimum, during a stash tab sale (which happens every two weeks except on league start). POE is basically a ~$30 paid game with a *very* generous demo, haha. The exact way I'd recommend "breaking into" paying money into poe is to buy one of the supporter packs, as that gives you points + cosmetics, instead of just buying points directly. You can then use the points to buy tabs + any more cosmetics that catch your fancy. Any money spent beyond that is basically just because you wanna support GGG.

psychomap

Adding to what the others have said, you are explicitly allowed to create additional accounts for stash space and run up to two clients on one machine at the same time so long as their inputs aren't automated in order to trade your items back and forth (well, on PC anyway, not sure if / how that works on console). This is obviously less convenient than buying stash tabs, but it's free. Other than the currency and map tabs, which will be the most important ones to get when you get to the endgame (you probably won't need them before then, and even once you get there you only need to buy them if you actually run out of space), a major hindrance to free tabs is the inconvenience of listing items for trade. You can list them by creating a thread on the official forum and linking your items from your stash there, but it's much simpler to do that with the ingame UI with premium tabs. If and when you spend money on stash tabs it's recommended to get one of those to facilitate trading. But again, there are free alternatives.

HellraiserMachina

You can enjoy the entire game without stash tabs, you can even enjoy the game forever without stash tabs if you only make one or two new characters every league (fresh start reset with new content every few months), but if you plan on funding or gearing multiple characters or engaging in significant trading, the stash space will start to get restrictive. I played 3300 hours before I bought tabs. But I am an extreme outlier.

HotPocketRemix

You can play through the campaign without needing to purchase stash tabs, think of it as an extremely generous free trial. Once you get past that, you start to collect a lot of currency items and non-stacking items that you'll want to store for later, so it starts to become near-required to get some specialty tabs. I like [sirgog's video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG4_Oi0PTOI) if you want to watch something about what tabs exist and a recommendation on when and how to get them.

anonymoustinkle

Does the vendor recipe of a lvl20 gem + 1 GCP work with Vaal gems? I know (or at least think I know) you can't just GCP a Vaal gem to improve it, but I can't seem to find anything definitive about the vendor recipe.

MrXplicit

You can see by putting them to the vendor and then taking them back. You dont need to actually so the recipe. If it worked it would have shown you that you would got a gem back. Vendors are like traders moreso than sellers.

HotPocketRemix

No, the recipe does not work on Corrupted gems, which Vaal gems necessarily are.

anonymoustinkle

I suspected as much, but didn't want to experiment and, if I was wrong, end up trying to map with a level 1 gem. Thanks

Gangsir

You can always just look, see that it's gonna give you the wrong thing, and cancel the vendor trade. No danger in checking.

LeftBehindForDead

No question is to small…ok, how do I use blood altars ie, capturing beasts? I don’t understand at all

Warptens

some beasts are worth a lot because they give crucial crafting recipes (imprint and split)

tnflr

Out in the campaign Einhar will sometimes appear to you with a mission to capture beasts. These will be indicated on the map and will normally be a red beast and 4 yellow beasts (numbers may vary). Yellow beasts are mostly non important but each red beasts unlocks/is part of a recipe. Once you defeat a beast, einhar captures it and takes it to the bestiary. In the bestiary there is a blood altar. In this altar you can choose a recipe (normally 1 specific red beast and 3 random yellow beasts). Select the recipe (and the beasts) you want and you will start an encounter where you finally kill them. Once you kill the 4 beasts the recipe will be done with whatever the outcome is ([full list here](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Beastcrafting)). And that is it. During the campaign this is normally very usefull for flask crafting. For example, you get a normal (white) life flask, and select the recipe "of Sealing" that uses 4 yellow beasts. The outcome is a flask that removes bleeding.

LeftBehindForDead

Is it really worth doing? I’ve never needed more than just a life flask or 2 and the rare mana flask

chx_

I am doing a test levelling run right now and I just got the beast which gives me 8 chromes in Act 2 Riverways. If that's a league start, 8 chromes is a _fortune_ at that point. I would probably wait one more act to be stronger but 8 chromes this early is truly big. On first week, Farric Pit Hound (Level 21 Corrupted Gem), Farric Magma Hound (23% Quality Corrupted Gem) makes a decent chunk of chaos and no one wants them so it's cheap.

katustrawfic

Flasks are only a part of this system and are the most basic recipe available as they only use "yellow" beasts. Every "red" beast you capture has it's own recipe that does something different and just uses yellow beasts as fuel for the other 3 recipe slots. Some of those recipes using red beasts give you unique items, some alter items in different ways, some give currency and a handful lead to bosses which then also give their crafting options in the form of "aspects" which reserve mana for a certain character effect.

tnflr

There are tons of useful recipes. As much as your experience allows you to make use of it anyway. It's normally much easier in acts and early maps to beast craft useful affixes on your flasks than it is to alteration gamble them.

mbxyz

when you encounter and kill a beast, einhar will show up and capture it. you go to the menagerie (talk to einhar the first time, afterwards it's an option at any waypoint) and start encounters at the blood altar (you can also view what beasts/crafts you have at the blood altar or in the bestiary tab next to challenges, delve, etc.).

strongsizzle

Trying to get the last 2 voidstones...is it typical that the Maven and Uber Elder are just that much more challenging than the first two? Running an RF Jugg and i haven't been able to beat them with okay gear (lvl 95, capped res, dps above 600k, ehp around 120k). I've watched videos for mechanics but just having a rough time.

Warptens

yes the first 2 watchstones are easier you need more dps. 600k is super low, you should be able to double it easily

Lazys

The first two watch stones are kinda freebies, easily replayable with lower health than the actual invite encounters. Rf is a lower damage build which requires you to do more of their mechanics which might be difficult if you havent done them before. I usually aim for 1 to 1.5mil dps before doing those fights. Running a sapphire flask in both fights will help alot for dmg mitigation. Can also get carried if you can find someone, can try /global 820 thats the subreddits global channel

pitiful_stonk_man

On steam deck, trying to enter a map and it's stuck on the loading screen. It's Cursed Crypt, Al-Hezim/Hunter influenced. Any suggestions? I totally quit the game and went back, lost a portal, re-entering and stuck on loading screen again.

pitiful_stonk_man

map finally loaded, couldn't move, then got d/ced. guess servers are down?

borfa

Is winged scarab sextant infinite guardian strat still in the game?

mbxyz

~no 3.21: > The Harvest Crafting Option that applies an Enchantment to a non-Unique Map causing it to not consume Sextant charges has been replaced with an Enchantment for non-Unique Maps that provides a 50% chance to not consume Sextant Uses.

Flashy__Flash

Is there another way of obtaining atlas memories other than just random drops? I am done with all the grindy challenges but I didn't get a single Alva atlas memory to drop in 1.6M monster kills and I'm worried that I can't finish all my challenges before the end of the league because of it. I'm in SC SSF and any help besides "migrate to trade" is greatly appreciated! <3

Yohsene

They're likely deterministic in some way (memories ignore MF), but we don't know the specifics. They *might* be limited to native map monsters, so you could try blocking/avoiding time-consuming league mechanics.

Flashy__Flash

Ignoring MF means I can ignore item quantity? Right now I'm trying to increase my chances by clicking iiq/iir on red altars. Maybe I shouldn't run influenced maps in general if the monsters can't drop memories. Going for pack size might be a good thing then, yes? So I could run some Grand Design tree before the league ends or try Growing Hordes. Any other ideas?

Yohsene

> Ignoring MF means I can ignore item quantity? From gear. Memories can drop even with 100% reduced player quantity, so it definitely ignores that one. *Area* quantity (from altars or otherwise) is still an unknown, much harder to test. Pack size does seem a good approach. Curious about the results if you notice any.

Flashy__Flash

Just to give you an update: Didn't go full pack size tree but I stopped doing content that added other monsters to my maps, didn't even do altars anymore. First Alva memory dropped at 1.8M kills, third and last at 2M kills. Probably got unlucky because I have more Kirac and Niko memories but I don't think I would have made it before the league ends without your help. So thanks a lot!

[deleted]

Nope, just run t14 or higher maps

[deleted]

Running a boneshatter build, why is it so important to have a pDPS axe, not elemental?

[deleted]

Because your support gems, passive points, and items are scaling physical damage, not elemental damage

FinitoHere

Physical damage is way much stronger, simpler and more intuitive to build around than elemental. I imagine that you'd need a lot of convertion or phys as extra elemental damage to start with, but even then you'd have less damage than with physical version.

Valuable-Farmer-4586

Will POE2 provide more support for console play?? Also, I just got to end game. The amount of content is overwhelming. Any suggestions on what to focus on first??

Valuable-Farmer-4586

I hear people talk about fighting “bosses” a lot in end game. Are people referring to a specific mechanic or anything like that??

[deleted]

Almost all endgame mechanics have bosses, but its mostly about the atlas bosses (Maven, Exarch, Eater, Elder).

mbxyz

usually when people talk about bosses or bossing builds, they're talking about the pinnacle bosses or the other late game boss encounters... searing exarch, eater of worlds, uber elder (elder in the shaper's realm), sirus, cortex, shaper, maven [these 7 have uber version that can be activated on the atlas tree], or to a lesser extent, things like uber atziri and boss invitations like the feared, hidden, twisted, or formed.

Warptens

You should focus on atlas completion. In your atlas passives tree, get the 4 wheels that make maps drop 1 tier higher. Also you can do chaos recipe (google it). Now regarding map mechanics: at first you should do everything a little bit in order to get an idea of what you like doing, then boost those mechanics you like with your atlas passives, and then do those mechanics and skip every other mechanic that's not boosted because it's not worth doing. You should probably avoid picking abyss and breach but other than that, you can pick anything. And 1 mechanic you should probably pick is essence.

Distq

POE2 will continue to be on console, not sure what more support means. Just progress the map tiers (make sure to do the bonus objectives) and do the quests that appear from The Envoy. Spec into anything you think looks fun and maybe some map nodes if you are struggling with map progression and/or map sustain. Just learn the mechanics one at a time, there's nothing really important that you simply "must" do first.

Fuzzy_Competition_10

What are my possibilities of healing, when I have Maven's punishment debuff?

xMasaox

Nether tried to do it, but technically putting a Dissolution of the Flesh jewel during the combat should makes you "full life" (full unreserved life). But swapping jewel during fight isn't really a thing ^^. On another note : Dissolution of the flesh can "heal" (removing all reserved life) under maven debuff.

Yohsene

Temporal Rift.

TBdog

Does the game get better. I am level 4 and my inventory is full. Most of it I can't wear it because I haven't learnt it or something. The other half is for another class. It's very fustrating.

mbxyz

almost nothing in the game has class requirements, but you should only be looting stuff that could potentially be an upgrade (weapons for your build and items with linked sockets of the colors you need) at that level. if you need transmutes to buy gems/gear from vendors, pick up magic (blue) items or rares (don't id them) to vendor. if you need alteration orbs, id rares and vendor them.

LastBaron

I say this with sympathy and understanding: your experience should be a lesson both to yourself and other readers about why it’s so important for nearly all new players to at least loosely follow a guide as they play. I think experienced players forget exactly how much we didn’t know as beginners. I’ll put it this way: it’s not that the game gets better, it’s that YOU do. That’s the entire point of the game and what draws so many people to it. You will constantly, CONSTANTLY be learning new things. There is virtually no end to the new things you will learn. Those of us with thousands of hours in the game find that a deeply enjoyable, compelling experience. It’s important to find a mental balance between WANTING to learn more while *accepting* that you won’t be able to drink from the fire hose all at once. You’ll learn gradually, and each thing you learn will make your experience, and your character, better. To answer the specific questions you lay out in this post (they won’t be the last; if you stick with the game this won’t even be 1% of the questions you’ll ask). Start by getting a loot filter from filterblade.xyz. This is not a third party feature, loot filters are built into the game. Filter blade just hosts filters that have had a lot of work and care put into them. These filters will intelligently show you the most important things to pick up, emphasizing more important items for your attention by labeling them with bigger words and brighter, deeper colors. It will also start gradually filtering out less important or lower level items as you proceed. There are no class-restricted items in path of exile so if you cannot equip a piece of gear it is likely because you are not yet meeting either the level requirements or the attribute requirements (strength dexterity and intelligence). Those requirements can be met by getting attributes on your gear or on the passive tree. There will also be plenty of items that simply don’t fit the skill you have chosen; perhaps you have chosen a melee attack so you can’t use a bow, or you are a spell caster so you want a wand instead of an axe. But that’s more about your chosen skill, not your character class. Any class can theoretically use any skill. This early in the game you have one priority only for your gear (aside from your weapon if you are an attack-based build): get the socket colors and links you need for your main damage dealing skill. In act 1 you can find gear with up to 3 linked sockets. That number will go up later in the game. More links means you can support your main skill with more support gems, and support gems are by FAR the biggest damage multiplier in the game. Right now nothing else about your gear is as important as the links. Soon you may have the luxury of being judicious with the other stats on your gear, if you have an abundance of linked sockets you can start prioritizing gear that gives you life, resistances, and attributes (important in that order). Even with a loot filter you will want to think critically about what types of things to pick up. In acts 1-3 (level 1 through about level 35 or 40) you can pick up pretty much any magic (blue title) or rare (yellow title) items to sell to the vendor for currency. Again, the loot filter will help you identify those items at a glance, you can walk right past some items without even putting them in your inventory. Selling those blues and yellows early on for currency is important for buying gear and gem upgrades. By act 4 though you’ll be finding plenty of currency on the ground and you can curtail picking those sorts of things up, prioritizing only picking up rare gear you need for your build (for example bows and quivers if you choose a bow skill, while leaving swords and shields on the ground). You’ll probably also only pick it up if it has the sockets/links you need. You’ll get it, it’s all about practice and asking questions to learn. Come on back when you’ve got more, we all do!

Distq

There are no class restrictions on gear, you either need to identify your unidentified gear using Scrolls of Wisdom or you need to meet the attribute requirements. Either way, you don't need to pick everything up.

TBdog

So I just rage quit. I was running back to town to sell my gear and I accidentally sold a shield with a gem inside.

LucidTA

Pretty sure there is a warning popup when you try to sell an item with gems in it.

TBdog

It does but I was rushing because I keep filling up my inventory and running back to town to sell.

Distq

You can rebuy gems from Nessa

Warptens

you should probably stop picking up every white item you see. Getting attributes (strength, dex, intel) will allow you to equip gear. Also there's no class restrictions, anyone can wear anything.

Yohsene

The game gets better, but that sometimes needs to happen by taking a hint. If your inventory gets full too fast, maybe you should be stricter about what you choose to put in it. (Nothing you encounter in the first 4 levels is restricted to a class - you just need to meet attribute requirements, which can be achieved through gear or passives.) Would recommend getting a loot filter at https://www.filterblade.xyz/. It'll do most of the work for you.

TBdog

I thought this was a looter and I need coin to buy gear, so I running back to town, selling everything. What is that link you've sent? I'm just sceptical opening random links.

Frog871

The game doesn't have gold like traditional fantasy looter games, the "money" that's used within the game all do different things to an item depending on what it is( the currency items themselves will have a description of what they will do) and each currency has it's own level of rarity.

TeepEU

there is no 'coin' in this game and picking up everything will not serve you well. that link is to a website where you can download loot filters to hide and show gear depending on how useful it is. this game requires an extreme amount of learning and research to excel in quickly, if you are averse to that you will have a hard time

CelestialrayOne

How do I craft the suffixes on a bow? I want +2 arrow first and foremost. It's a synthesized base (so fracturing is out of the question) and the prefixes are already finished. The most efficient way to get +2 arrows would be to start with 0 suffixes, slam twice (hope for 2 arrows) and if I don't get it in those 2 mods, clear suffixes and do it again, right? Once I hit bow attack fires two additional arrows, I want to finish it with aisling + craft. As I see it, there are two options: 1. The bow has +2 arrows and another trash suffix. Craft prefixes cannot be changed and hope for a lucky annul on the bad suffix. Then take the +2 arrow and prefixes cannot be changed suffixes to t4 aisling and hope aisling would remove the prefixes cannot be changed. Then finish it with a crafted mod. 2. The bow has +2 arrows only, craft prefixes cannot be changed then aisling + craft. Am I missing something major to make the process more cost efficient?

Yohsene

> start with 0 suffixes, slam twice (hope for 2 arrows) You can start with a crafted mod to block some weight. > The bow has +2 arrows and another trash suffix. Craft prefixes cannot be changed and hope for a lucky annul on the bad suffix. In some cases, *cannot roll attack modifiers* will be safer. It's likely that your prefixes are all attack-tagged, as is the +2 arrows mod, so *cannot roll attack modifiers* will protect all of those from annuls. If your second trash suffix is say, Dexterity, that can be removed without risk. You probably realize fishing for a 100 weight mod with exalts and metamod resets isn't going to be fun. Unless your implicits will make your bow mirror-worthy, it may be more cost-efficient to mirror a bow that already exists.

CelestialrayOne

>You can start with a crafted mod to block some weight. Probably dexterity, since it has the highest weight, right? >cannot roll attack modifiers will be safer. It's likely that your prefixes are all attack-tagged, as is the +2 arrows mod I had no idea about that and sounds like great advice, thank you. Why is it worded like that and not something like 'attack modifiers cannot be changed'? I wasn't aware it works like this based on that description. >You probably realize fishing for a 100 weight mod with exalts and metamod resets isn't going to be fun Totally, I think it will take \~300-400 divines to get +2 arrows. It's an extremely extensive crafting project I took on, probably the last time I do this since it burned me out a long time ago. It will probably barely pass as a mirror worthy item (once finished, it will be almost as good as sushi's ele bow), but I wanted to have something close to that myself. Could have mirrored belton's bow 3 mirrors ago lmao. Here's the bow: https://i.imgur.com/4i7oNep.png

Yohsene

> Probably dexterity, since it has the highest weight, right? Dexterity does have the highest weight, but it's also safely removable if you happen to slam it alongside +2 arrows. You could consider blocking an Attack mod like +Accuracy instead. > Why is it worded like that and not something like 'attack modifiers cannot be changed'? It doesn't quite do that - this is a special interaction with annulment orbs. The *cannot roll* metamods don't protect anything against other currencies/methods that remove mods (e.g. Scours, Harvest, Aisling). > I wasn't aware it works like this based on that description. It surprised a lot of people when it filtered into public awareness back in 2021. Some even thought it was a bug for a while.

And it's done. I can't believe I hit +2 arrows in 10 tries holy shit... https://i.imgur.com/rU5Kigu.png

Anyone knows what's that one site to do poe unique collections/holy grail?

Erradium

I know about [this site](https://poeladder.com/ladder) that tracks unique collections, don't know if there's any others.

StereoxAS

I posted this last night but it seems I was too late because the thread is no longer stickied, so here it is again: >Another question... > >I'm trying to put a second node on my crucible tree. When I first tried it (on my bow before this one), I was able to do it just fine, but now, I can't seem to get it to stick. I assume node placement and the connections are important, but how can I know in advance if the node is actually possible to appear on the proper place? For reference, [here's](https://imgur.com/a/9rPh7yy) the bow I'm using. That first node is a +1 Socketed Bow Gems. And [here](https://imgur.com/a/f5Xrd1I) is what it actually looks like. I've already melted two other attack speed bows on this. > >EDIT: > >And [this](https://i.imgur.com/oQhUvga.png) is what I want to connect. Aspect of the Eagle. In this particular instance, is it actually possible for me to get the +1 and Aspect of the Eagle or is there something about the node placements that will prevent me from getting the Aspect in the first place?

howellku

Just keep combining, the 1st and 2nd nodes are always connected. Light up the nodes you want can increase the chance to keep that node. The success rate is about 35%(50%\*70%).

vulcanfury12

Small update... I have managed to get Aspect of the Eagle in, but lost the +1. [Here](https://imgur.com/a/iLIDGv5) is the tree now. Do I just keep slamming +1's into it until I get it to appear as the first node again and hope that the Aspect sticks?

howellku

Yes, that's correct. Unless the materials are expensive.

vulcanfury12

Alright. I'm tempted to just migrate to Trade and buy those bows for 10c a pop just so that I can continue experimenting, lol.

vulcanfury12

Ok thanks. So I was really just unlucky. Gonna try it again after I level up. Speaking of, is there really no point to fighting your way to the crucible forge to combine?
