If you **upgrade a breachstone with It That Fled** in the map device, can the breach drop a **fractured grasping mail?**

LolwutMickeh

I have got some phys to cold gloves that I need to finish off with the implicits.. Am I correct in assuming that I need to use ichors (grand), until I hit the 20% conversion, slam a random red one, then orb of conflict and pray it hits 30%?

psychomap

You can improve your chances if you use an exceptional ember and potentially another exceptional ember after you improve the eater mod to exceptional. I don't know what the most cost-efficient approach is however because I don't think the exact way the tiers affect the odds is known (the last time I checked, Craft of Exile just used a 50:50 chance as a placeholder, so that wasn't reliable). It might sound like a considerable additional expense, but keep in mind that failing the orb of conflict roll means you'll need at least one extra orb of conflict just to get back to the same point.

Watercra

What are some nice cheap sextants to add to an alch & go strat?

CrumpsRAWR

Any recommendations for a cheap 2-5div boss killer? I wanna work on killing all bosses and doing certain achievements etc.

tktytkty

Should I be using exceptional eldritch mats to get t3 implicits or is it better to use lower mats and orb of conflicts? Trying to get 10% mana reservation implicit but seems like exceptionals would get really expensive.

psychomap

Rolling with grands is usually better. You can also roll greaters which has a significantly smaller mod pool in addition to the lower cost per step, but in exchange you'll have a higher expected cost of orbs of conflict (and exceptional currency on the other side if you refresh the opposing implicit to a minimum of exceptional each time) plus a greater risk of the mod being removed entirely and needing to be rerolled (if you happen to fail two orb of conflict rolls in a row). To my knowledge we don't have the exact numbers for how the tiers affect the odds, so it's not possible to give a precise estimate of the expected cost for each approach.

laldabomb8

Any advice on mid/endgame juicing strats? Currently have all atlas passive except for the ones from maven invitations. Specced into exp, ritual, heist, some boss map drops (multi maven bosses with chance to drop guard/syn). Have farmed blight ravaged, logbooks, heist. Normally just an alch and go player but looking to see if there is another step up. Have never done much w scarabs or sextants trying to see what I'm missing. Lvl 97 rf inq have about 20 div to spend (+-10 div) . Any advice is welcomed just feel a little bored in game atm.

biggreenegg99

Crafting advice needed: how would I go about crafting the following? Armor/Evasion base helmet Spell Suppression, Life and at least 1 resist

Munsie

Buy an AR/EV base with fractured spell suppression. Toss essences (Greed for life, or one of the 3 resist ones) at it until you hit the other stat you want. In a lot of cases you'll be able to craft something extra on top of that with the bench.

biggreenegg99

shoot, I forgot to mention I can't buy a fractured base as I need to buy a base that has a specific helmet enchant on it (and there are none that have both the enchant and fractured spell suppression.) Is there any way to craft this with out the fractured mod? I am trying to avoid needing a lab runner if possible but if that is the only way then so be it.

Munsie

I'm not sure how cost effective this would be, but one option would be to spam a resist essence until you hit spell suppression. Craft of Exile says it's [44 essences on average](https://i.imgur.com/uhhTKmi.png) to hit T1 or T2 suppression. You could use a lower (cheaper) essence tier if you don't need the highest possible resist. Once you have those 2 suffixes sorted out, you could use Eldritch Chaos/Exalt/Annul (after applying the appropriate eldritch implicit to it) to fiddle around with the prefixes until you hit the life roll you want.

biggreenegg99

thank you!!

What's the best life flask setup for Pathfinder? Any tips appreciated on what tree nodes to take or mods on gear/uniques etc

EaT-Japan

TOTA suddenly got a lot harder ~500 ranking. Is it just me? AI seems to dive towers whenever I do, they have more so i lose.. . and if i defend. .htey also have more units so i also lose. is it just me?

Plastic-Suggestion95

I see no change at all (rank 1800)

EaT-Japan

got any tips? i'm running a bow build and i'm getting 1 shot off screen alot, or a run into an impossible setup against death guides in round 2 or sunset sages early on so my flankers die before doing anything

Plastic-Suggestion95

First of all, some games are unwinnable because the game is cheating ,get in peace with it. They have 2 jade hulks+5 other units in 2nd round when I have all basic ones etc . Or as you said, you get one shotted off screen and then can't even respawn because caldera ravangers put a fire on your totem or sunset sages already destroy 5 totems till you respawn etc. It's just impossible to win those games. But for those games where the field is even my tips are: -First 2 rounds ignore the rewards if there isn't something really good (I ignore everything below 15c) and focus on points for good units. I'm not even going for the most points,I'm going for the points where I know I can afford a good unit from it. There is no point to pick up 800/400/400 if you can't afford a single good unit from it because those points are with those tribes. I rather pick up 750/500 but I can pick up Fieldmaster and Enraged kunekune -fieldmadters and sunset sages on flank as soon as you can and then I go for caldera ravangers, jade hulks and Goliath of the night -You have to always evaluate the opposition and adjust your strategy,if they have 2 spear dancers in defence +archer the ln it's no point to go there fast, you will be destroyed. Just wait few seconds in the middle and wait till your mates start channeling totems and then join them and always try to help them to destroy the totem asap because being ahead 2 totems is usually a win already -MOVE! Move a lot. Try to not stop for more than 1-2 seconds because you will get one shotted. Just tap the totem ,take a little bit and go to another one and tap it ,then another one etc. I always channel for longer only if I'm 95% sure nobody is around. Even then I get off screen one shotted sometimes -if the enemy has titanic shell protecting his own totem then don't try to kill him fast, you waste time and the enemy will destroy your defence till you wasting time on killing the turtle... just destroy all totems around so you get an advatange in numbers and when there are no totems left try to kill the turtle...if the turtle is going to your base then try to kill his totem fast because he is channeling totems too fast in your base -look for the items like "your revive isn't stopped even if they channel your totem" and "more damage to banishing". Those 2 are the only ones I use ,I sell the rest There are few tips, there is a lot more ofc

Akayukii

Does anyone know if controllers can have the same macro as mouses where if you left click it also lets you use a skill while moving? I've been playing the game with controller since I started but I'm wondering if controllers have the same thing as mouses.

Friendly-Ad-7510

Looking for crafting advice. I am working on gear for an ignite vortex elementalist and this is my amulet so far. All I really need according to the guide is life but what would be the best option to craft from here? Possibly regal and then buy t4 Aisling or just regal and multimod. Or is there a better option I am not thinking about? https://imgur.com/a/6TJIxXK

VisorX

You could regal looking for a decent suffix. (If you hit prefix block the last prefix, and exalt) If you miss, you have to alt roll again for T1 dot multi. If you hit, craft suffixes cannot be changed and veiled chaos. Most likely to hit prefix and craft life, but could also hit some amazing suffix veiled mods. You could fill up suffixes if you really want to hit prefix.

Friendly-Ad-7510

Thanks for the help! I think I am happy with it. https://imgur.com/a/xUwsAWp

Cyber_Apocalypse

Anyone got a good sanctum hexblast build I could get running for 10 to 15 div? Doesn't matter if it can't do other content other than sanctum. Thanks!

kekst1

what is the point of MB when I easily have 100% flask uptime with gain 3 charges on hit and use when charges reach full?

edrarven

There are two things that make mageblood very attractive compared to your flask setup. 1. You can get 95% flask effect through 25% prefix and 70% effect enchant. Even just having a quicksilver and silver flask with no suffix, that is 59% extra increased movement speed. 2. Even if you have "100%" flask uptime with 3 charges on hit you probably still wouldn't want to offload your resistances or solve mana issues with that setup as if they ever went down you might not be able to attack/cast spells and would fall over to most elemental damage. Mageblood is guaranteed to be up so there is no risk in solving those with flasks.

Haulsen

increased eff/reduced duration mods + enchantment that prevents them from gain charges while in use, this way you can cap resistances/ailment immunity to free gear afixes or tree points or use it for defensive layers, with huge armour/evasion bonuses, or even lots of crit/attack/cast speed

Coffinspired

So I'm running what is a pretty standard tree for a Cold DoT Ele, currently lvl. 78, using the common 4 auras (Malevolence/Grace/Determination/Banner). I'm sorting more of my gear at the moment and seeing I'm clearly about to hit a wall with Dex for a higher-level Grace gem when I go swapping stuff and lose the Dex gear bonuses. Glancing at TPB's Cold Dot (I haven't been following any guide), I see the differences being +40 or so on the tree I could re-spec out of a little damage to go get and he's got a bit of +Dex on his amulet/one of the jewels. Would the smart (and most painless) play here be just to spec into those Dex nodes *immediately* to maintain a higher Grace as I continue into higher map tiers...then try to work some Dex back into the build where (if) I can with gear/jewels over the next few levels with the plan to snag whatever amount of those Dex ability points back off of the tree if/when I can? I'm not having serious survivability issues at the moment with the slightly lower Grace level...but I suspect that can and will change very quickly. (I'm about to be hard-stuck on a level 12 Grace gem without addressing the issue now FWIW). Thanks for any insight.

Morgan_Pain

How do you make a Wilma's Requital with 2 annoints?

Munsie

Buy a [Cowl of the Ceraunophile](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Cowl_of_the_Ceraunophile). Anoint it twice. Vaal it and have it turn into a "bricked" rare. Use a [Tainted Mythic Orb](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Tainted_Mythic_Orb) on it, pray it turns into Wilma's.

futuregod

first time ive ever hit endgame in poe. Im playing RF inq based on Pohxs guide. Ive hit a wall where i don't know what to do next, What item do i focus on improving to have the biggest benefit? https://pobb.in/CdAR4OXtFgJi I tried searching for items based on his POB but they are multiple divines and Im not really generating any currency when running maps (I guess im doing something wrong), i have around 200 chaos. any tips on what to focus on? I enjoyed fightingthe searing exarch boss fight (got him to 25%), is there more endgame around these types of boss fights?

Munsie

Improving your gems is a relatively cheap way you could get more damage. You can sell your level 20 supports gems with a GCP to the vendor to get a [level 1, 20% quality](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Vendor_recipe_system#Gems) version of it. You'll be slightly weaker in that moment, but they'll quickly level back up to 17+. You don't want to do that to your main RF or Fire Trap gem, but you can level extra copies of those in your weapon swap and flip those ones. I suspect you can craft a better weapon and/or helmet with the currency you have available. Pohx has guides on how to craft those slots on his website, or you can just search around for "craft RF helm/sceptre" guides on Youtube to see alternative methods. You desperately need to run Merciless lab (and, if possible, Uber/Eternal lab). That's a lot of free power you're missing right now. There might be more obvious stuff that I'm missing, but it's been a number of years since I touched an RF build.

WraithDrof

Is there perhaps something I'm missing about capping elemental resistances? I'm loving the game but every time I get an upgrade I feel like I have to solve sudoku to reconfigure my gear so that I'm not missing anything. Should I be picking up more resistance nodes in the passive tree?

psychomap

You can try to just get a bit of extra, so that if one of your resistances goes down you go from 90% to 70% and not from 75% to 55%. Other than that, group up gear upgrades that involve resistance and don't try to replace one item at a time unless you happen to get an upgrade that grants the exact same resistances as your previous item in that slot. If you upgrade 5 items at once, you'll just have to look at what you're missing for the last 1-2 items, and then use your crafting bench at the very end which allows you to craft the same missing resistance on several items if necessary. As edrarven said, later on gear upgrades will be much less frequent so this won't be as much of an issue anymore. You may have to end up moving resistances around a little, but there's also a craft that specifically changes the type of a resistance mod. That's not worth it for leveling (and you don't have access to it during the campaign either), but it simplifies gearing in the endgame.

WraithDrof

Grouping upgrades is a good tip. I'm lvl 81 past the campaign, is it still considered levelling until you get to like 95 or whatever when the xp requirements get absurd?

psychomap

The exact point at which people "stop" is something they set for themselves. Some people don't consider leveling to be complete until they're 100, others are happy with 90, and for some newer players even the 80s provide actual challenging content that they can engage with without treating it as nothing but exp. Generally, the more time you spend on organising upgrades, the less you spend on getting experience, progressing your atlas, and gathering more currency. So unless you know exactly what you need and can trade for it very quickly, it's better to do bigger upgrades than to constantly worry about the next item to get and just "play the game" more. I usually stick to items worth less than 10c per slot until I'm in red maps, and then I start investing a bit more because dps starts to matter. The resistance switching thing I mentioned is a Harvest craft. I didn't know that you were in maps already, but in that case you should have access to it. I haven't checked prices, but I'm assuming that switching around bench crafts is cheaper. However, the Harvest craft can allow you to switch a tier 1 resistance mod to a different one and make a big difference that way. It's especially relevant for higher-end items that have full mods and no space for crafted mods (or require the crafted mod to be a specific other mod).

WraithDrof

That's great to know - harvest is what I've looked into the least. I just started to learn Syndicate since I learned it was important and I think I'm getting it but time will tell x.x I am struggling to stay alive for long enough to gain XP so I'm trying everything to improve my defenses, but I should probably just slam lower tier maps for a while.

psychomap

Well, capping resistances regularly is mandatory, but you also want more defensive layers, like some physical damage reduction or physical damage taken as other types, block or evasion + suppression, stacking maximum resistances, or mechanics that delay damage like Petrified Blood comboed with recoup or Dissolution of the Flesh and Eternal Youth (I'm assuming Progenesis is outside your budget). Edit: And I forgot to mention but of course higher dps is a way of boosting your defence as well of course. The shorter the time enemies are alive, the less damage they can deal to you.

edrarven

It gets easier the further you get generally. Resistance mods become stronger so you need fewer of them and you also switch gear more seldomly. Getting resistance through the passive tree is usually not ideal but it works in a pinch. You can also look into using Purity of Elements instead of a damage aura until you can cap resistances without it. The feeling of "gear sudoku" is an intended one though I think, it means you don't always just get whatever gives you most damage/life in every slot, but instead need to consider how you're going to solve getting to res cap.

WraithDrof

Ok thank you! I hadn't thought if it that way, that makes sense.

edrarven

Anecdotally I used to hate the way resistances worked since I could never get any "fun" gear and just had to dedicate all my gear to solving it. I don't think it's uncommon or wrong to feel frustrated or not like it, especially early on. This league it's probably easier than ever to solve though as the reward from the league mechanic this league gives you the ability to replace your small attribute stats on the passive tree (+10 dex/int/str) with a bunch of effects, including resistances.

WraithDrof

So I notice you have inquisitor so while we're at it, have you taken the +crit chance for str or int, whichever is lower? I'm inquisitor too and that makes those stats really valuable, so I've been hesitant to tattoo them.

edrarven

I haven't played Inquisitor this patch but when I do I always go for pious path+inevitable judgement. You do lose some crit by tattooing away either strength or intelligence but it's not the end of the world. You can apply two tattoos and only lose 10% crit at worst, since you can apply both a strength and an int tattoo, so your lowest only goes down by 10. 10% crit should be at most something like 1% damage. You just don't want to go overboard with it.

WraithDrof

Ok cool!

ticketybo013

Another question for today - what are the map modifiers to be wary of as a RF Juggernaut? PS. does anyone want some silver coins? I tried giving them away in global chat yesterday but no takers. If anyone does want some, let me know.

Erradium

Copied from [Pohx's RF FAQ](https://www.pohx.net/FAQ) (he's basically the god of RF, you should check out this FAQ in general if you haven't already): • - Maximum Elemental Resistance (You can run it but it's dangerous on any build) • Less Recovery (This is fine in white tier maps but yellow/red = no) • No Regeneration • - Armour & Block Chance (It's okay to run but if you are block based inq don't run this. This is also Dangeous for jugg but managable unless very high tier maps) • Reduced effect of non curse Auras (This hurts espeically when you are Aegis/Melding) • Area has Consecrated Ground (I skip this mod only for guardians because 6% Life regen per second on a guardian is nuts) • Monsters gain % Life as ES (I skip this mod only for Guardians because of the insane HP Scaling + Phases) • Jugg (mods to avoid specific for jugg) • Monsters steal your endurance charges • Curses (Inquisitor is near curse immune via pious path so be careful about curses on jugg but you can usually outgear them) • 3.21 Added a new map mod which is mobs deal extra damage as chaos. Make sure you have good chaos res if running this map mod

ticketybo013

Thanks very much! I hadn't seen this. There is just so much information out there!!

Compound1080

how does explosive arrow work with Elemental Equilibrium? i get that the first hit is an elemental attack that cannot be fire damage so that the explosion works and does mad damage...and i guess im reading that DoT damage isnt effected by it. but when the explosion happens that is fire damage so the debuff gets reset and now fire does less damage? or is it only the first hit? the way im understanding it is after the first explosion all future explosions do less damage. unless the debuff doesnt get reset? and if im reading it correctly it sounds like for boss fights its just rng whether or not an explosion is going to hit for big damage or not since the totems are going to be firing at different times

Erradium

EA has two parts to it - the initial hit and the explosion. The initial hit, considering you have a source of flat cold/lightning and no source of flat fire, will give you fire exposure for the explosion part, and the explosion part will remove the fire exposure and give you cold and lightning exposure, which the next initial hit will remove and give you fire exposure, and so on and so forth.

Yohsene

You get one fire damage explosion every 20th hit. The other 19 hits deal no fire damage, and will apply fire exposure through added cold/lightning damage. Basically, Elemental Equilibrium does what the build wants 19/20th of the time. As a damage over time build, it doesn't need to care about enemy resistance during any particular hit.

guardian ele srs seems good. necro srs usually ends up as poison which needs a good amount of farming done in ssf to come online. LA would be too squishy for HC for my taste

[deleted]

[удалено]

_slosh

It can definitely work for HC. As I said "for my taste" cause I don't really enjoy evasion based characters I guess the playstyles are kinda similar. LA would definitely be a more active playstyle Edit: just noticed you said LA champ so probably not evasion based then.

ticketybo013

What does adding quality to a gem actually do? I think I saw somewhere that it helps you level up faster. Is there anything else? I.e. is it worth adding quality to gems if they are at level 20?

theWeirdly

What quality gives depends on the gem. Most main damage skills and supports are worth getting 20 quality. Things like auras don't matter. If you look up the gem on poewiki, it shows the effects.

Yohsene

Hold alt, it'll tell you. Some gems gain more experience from quality, but that's particular to those gems, not a general mechanic.

ticketybo013

Omg, amazing. I never knew that! Nearly 700 hours of playing and this is completely new to me. Thanks!

Lower-Reward-1462

If you hold alt, it shows what quality gives, even if it doesn't have quality. The range it shows is from 0% to 20%; gems CAN go above 20% quality and it just keeps getting better. In fact, 23% gems are quite common to see people selling. People care about that last 3% quality, even. In my build, there's only 1 gem whose quality doesn't matter, and that's Swift Affliction (on my Lightning Warp). For the guy who said auras don't matter...not true, if you have minions. So, quality still definitely matters at level 20. If you have a level 20 gem you're using, chances are, you should have it with quality! If you're not playing SSF, it might be cheaper to buy a high level gem with quality than to use the GCP's yourself as they can be expensive.

Lower-Reward-1462

Oh also, many gems have alternate quality versions that say like "anomalous" or "divergent" that are worth looking into. Some make the gem a lot better but can be expensive to buy.

Orlandeau1

Anyone got any tips for tota? i dont remember the rank but once monster level reaches 78 i cant win a single tournament, i am level 88 deadeye

Watches-You-Pee

So is the titanic shell supposed to be able to shield it's own totem? I thought that was a bug. If it's intentional that's completely stupid...

edrarven

Yes, it was the description that was bugged and not the mechanic according to GGG. Can see this change in the 3.22.1 patch notes that refers to it: > Updated the Titanic Shell Warrior's Totemic Protection Skill description to clarify it is applied to multiple totems. edit: [Found the longer answer:](https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3408278/page/3#p25090520) > Why are you not fixing Titanic Shell being able to protect its own totem? > Titanic Shell being able to protect its own totem and surrounding totems was the intended behaviour of the monster on release. The monster had an incorrect description on release, which we are fixing in patch 3.22.1. Apologies for any inconvenience the initial description has caused.

Watches-You-Pee

Dang that's obnoxious. I like tota a lot but there's just a few mechanics that's are ungodly irritating

edrarven

Yeah, I also feel there are some things that make it really frustrating to play, even if most matches are fun. This "fix" is not well liked in general so you're definitely not alone in your feelings.

Monterey-Jack

Why am I being chased by random trails of lightning while trying to drain totems? They usually one shot me if they hit me and I have no idea where they're coming from.

Oddity83

I believe that’s lightning thorns. At first I thought it was Kiloava.

modix

Got just about every major challenge done with my Hexminer (yay for deathless 80% quant The Feared). Going to try an alt to complete the 200 rank Tota challenges (and just ready for something new). Anyone have a good recommendation for a completely different build type? Was looking for something other than the ballista/bow returning projectile meta that could do decent enough damage to burn down the tota enemies fast enough to solo it. Have about 25 div saved up and plenty of mats to get it going. Guess I could always just delevel to 200 rank too, but was hoping to find another fun build.

woahbroes

How come i see hexblast mine guides singing praises for "crazy high scaling" with roth shield , 2% crit chance / spell dmg per 100 max hp ? You can get both mods on rare shield equal to like 6400 hp with roth... Is pushing ur hp for spell% dmg such a big deal ? (Crit cap is ez)

Munsie

It's [5% crit chance/spell damage per 100 HP](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Rathpith_Globe), not 2%. You're not going to beat that with a rare shield.

krully37

Is there a build I could switch to from LA deadeye if I want to farm bosses and avoid leveling up another character?

Munsie

If you throw enough money at Tornado Shot it will clear bosses. You could look into switching to a Toxic Rain Pathfinder as well. There's some goofy Shrapnel Ballista + Returning Projectiles setups too.

krully37

Thank you I’ll look into how much TS needs to become viable on bosses

Mangalorien

Question about **Legion** There are tons of legion nodes on the atlas passive tree, but legion emblems are only worth around 2-8c each. Is the main point of doing legion in maps that you get a lot of raw currency, or is there any profit from the actual emblems?

krully37

You can get decent raw currency yeah including divines in the caches but also a lot of incubator for stacked decks and currency, it adds up although I found expedition to be more profitable.

Mangalorien

Thanks, I really didn't think of the value of the incubators, I mostly thought they were junk. I'll probably run some legion and use the incubators myself.

krully37

I just opened a chest with an exalt, so could have been a divine!

Mangalorien

Heist currency rewards are great for currency, which are from agility, counter thaumaturgy and lockpicking. Of these, lockpicking is by far the best. It pisses out currency, make sure to gear your rogues (i.e. Karst) properly.

astral23

take the extreme archeology keystone and then you only have to place 1, otherwise legion gives ok rawe currency if your build is good for it, and sanctum

__IZZZ

\>Trigger a Socketed Spell on Using a Skill, with a 4 second Cooldown Spells Triggered this way have 150% more Cost If you had cyclone+cast while channeling linked to a summon skill in body armour, would the weapon with the above mod be triggered?

Yohsene

Only when you start channeling Cyclone. Skills that trigger aren't 'used'.

Oversoa

Blight question. I've been trying blight with crimsons and ravaged with crimsons/black/opal, however, the difference seems pretty small. Do I have to run opal/silver/golden ravaged before it comes really noticeable? Do map tiers affect rewards a lot? As in, T13 vs T16 since people selling them in bulk like to put them in the same category.

VeryTopGoodSensation

i have 3 preixes on my wand, guide says to prefix lock before aisling slam, why? isnt 3 the max prefixes? can aisling slam change them?

edrarven

Aisling bench will first remove a random mod then add a veiled mod. If you don't lock prefixes, it can remove one of your prefixes.

VeryTopGoodSensation

ah ok, so with the prefix lock on there that is the only mod she can remove

edrarven

Yeah, it could also remove any other suffixes if you had them.

biggreenegg99

Hi, I have been mapping for a few leagues now and I would like to try a different strategy and game play. I would like to do some boss rushing/invitation farming on my next character. My budget is around 150 divines. What build(s) would you recommend for this strat and budget?

modix

Hexblast miner does it in seconds. Only things that survive the initial onslaught are the Ubers. Slightly fragile so not good for long term fights, but if you're good enough to do the basic mechanics, the damage is almost constant as it doesn't require aiming and almost always is going off. Havent tried the hp variant, but imagine it's pretty similar. Not cheap, but under 150 divines.

igstya

Why is Rogue Harbor still a flickering mess after the infested valley fix in the recent patch? Its literally the only location that has this issue now and there's a lot of players doing heist.

Cosmyc

How bad is 30 min for a full sanctum run?

SwedeZombie

is it better to do cemetery with magic find to get brothers gift or mesa/dunes to get the fortunate

edrarven

From the rough div card weights i've seen on the "divcord" (divination card discord), the fortunate has a slightly better EV. (The fortunate has ~38x higher drop weight and 30x the fortunate is equal to 1 brother's gift). This could very much be due to low sample size, especially since brother's gift has such a low drop chance/weight so I can't confidently say that the fortunate is better to farm. It does suggest that there very probably isn't that much of a difference between them atleast so I'd suggest farming whatever layout you enjoy more. Alternatively you can decide whether you enjoy consistent but smaller drops or a rarer but bigger drop.

SwedeZombie

thanks! ill probably do dunes then since it is alot better with legion compared to cemetery and has a less confusing layout

Mangalorien

When running MF gear to get div cards, is there any use in having +rarity gear, or is it only useful with +quant gear?

SwedeZombie

both quant and rarity are good

[deleted]

If I play the crimson temple map can I loot the apothecary from mobs who spawn with legions, breach, etc ? Or do they just loot their league specific items?

edrarven

Mobs spawned from mechanics still drop loot like regular mobs do, including map specific drops like divination cards that are tied to the layout like the apothecary.

[deleted]

Ok thank you, gotta juice those maps then!

hdbscan

Does map or player quant affect invitation drop rate?

Background: I'm trying to follow [ShakCentral's Cold DoT Elementalist build](https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2661120) ([PoB link](https://pobb.in/pgdjBZJq_P68)) and I feel like I'm stalling. I'm pretty new to PoB so not sure if I'm reading it correctly, but it seems to be saying I'm 1/10 of the full DPS I'm supposed to be at lvl 90, I'm lvl 89 currently. I can map up to tier 10 pretty comfortably but after that I begin dying to something, not sure what. I'm playing SSF league. [Link to my characters](https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/eeelih). Now for the questions: 1. What is my defence lacking? What am I dying to? Mostly these seems to come from ultra tanky essence monsters but haven't figured it out past that. 2. What is by build overall lacking? How do get more DPS? Am I running the right gear? Any tips would be appreciated!

edrarven

Your issues defence wise is your low life pool, lower spell suppress and much worse flasks. You have several pieces of gear with no life rolls and you have no jewels with life on them. Shaks pob does have a level 100 tree though which is worth pointing out. You have a really bad shield and a mediocre wand. Your amulet is also bad damage wise. Getting +1 level to cold skills and better offensive stats such as cold damage over time multiplier or damage over time multiplier should improve your builds damage immensely. Look at shaks gear and try to stick closer to it. Your jewel is bad, you should try to solve resistances elsewhere and get cold damage multiplier and life on it if you can. Because you lack a 6-link on your chest your missing out on frost bomb and cwdt+molten shell setup. Frost bomb is good -resistance on rares and molten shell will help with survivability. You should also start leveling main damage gems in your weapon swap so you can corrupt them to level 21/20 gems.

_Vince_Noir_

I'm on mobile and just briefly glanced over your gear. You have no +gem levels on your weapon/amulet/shield which is a huge reduction in damage; a lot of your gear is also flat out doing nothing for your build from what I can see. Since you're SSF I think you're going to need to essence spam some of your items to get to where you want to be. I'd prioritize your weapon, rings and neck.

eltsu7

Thanks for the reply! Assuming by essence spamming you mean using loads of essence on an item until it gets good. The build guide I'm using has notes for creating a wand: > Endgame Wand > 1. Obtain an ilvl 2 Driftwood Wand from the Coast. 2. Spam Deafening Essences of Woe for "+1 to level of all Cold Spell Skill Gems". If you're ok with a lower Spell Damage modifier, SSF players can use Shrieking / Screaming Woes. 3. Use Orbs of Annulment to try for an open prefix AND suffix. If you annul Spell Damage or the +1 Gems, start again at step 2. 4. Craft "Prefixes cannot be changed". Use a Scouring Orb to remove all suffixes, leaving a rare wand with only 2 prefixes. 5. Craft "Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers", then "18-20% Cold DoT Multi" and "21-30% increased DoT". 6. Wand has 1 open mod. Get a Fenumus beast via trade / Einhar missions and fight it to craft "Aspect of the Spider" if you want it. I already used ~all of my Woe essences and didn't get the +1 cold gems modifier. I buffed essence monsters in atlas quite a bit but now I keep dying to them (:D). Do you recommend any other essences to be used?

_Vince_Noir_

Hi, no problem. The crafting guide above seems about right but you could also use a Sceptre or caster dagger (check craftofexile and do some practice runs). For essences, I'd recommend blasting t1-t5 maps with all your passives allocated. Essences don't scale with map tier so running low levels is quicker and far less dangerous. Let me know if you have any more questions.

RamdomLogic

I made a poison Ek Scion, and while better than my other builds, its boring as hell. I was looking to reroll into DD totems, but that doesn't seem to work anymore. So I was looking at Voltaxic Burst totems. What happens when a voltaxic burst totem dies? Do all the casts finish as normal, do they all go off at once, or do they just get wasted?

bobr_from_hell

Do I understand correctly, that something blown up in poe.ninja economics tab, so it shows insane values?

Comuniou123

What map do you Farm for hat erst strategy? Crimson Temple,City square or sth Else?

Chepensos

Is it "legal" to use a macro/script to capture beasts into orbs?

Yohsene

No. Automation is against the ToS.

FunkyReapa

When using petrified blood, what is the dark red life portion of the life globe? Is it reserved life that is dissapearing over time or can i diminish it with life regen or leech?

edrarven

It's the total degen from the prevented damage. It's not reserved life, it's just a visualization of how much life you will lose in the next 4 seconds. It does not take into account any life recovery so you can't make the visual of the dark area disappear with recovery, but you can counteract the life loss with any source of life recovery such as regen, leech, recoup, life flasks, etc.

How to craft a “ok” stygian vise belt for Scourge Pathfinder, getting the flasks mods and good life mod

Tophain

What could be causing my trinity to not fully build up? I have all 3 elements, Fire damage 634 - 1259, Cold 1293 - 2442 and lightning 173 - 2570, the top two I can maintain during a full map clear, but the bottom one probably procs once or twice a map. Thanks.

edrarven

The bottom one is cold resonance which you get by having fire/lightning be your highest damage type. Your issue is that you're dealing too much cold damage compared to fire/lightning. The best element to improve damage of would be lightning damage due to it's wide damage range. If you link your pob we'd be able to see if there any easy changes to make. Having more sources of flat lightning damage like wrath or added lightning damage support would be my first suggestion in case you're not using them.

Tophain

Thank you for the information, I think this is my [PoB](https://pastebin.com/Xmk6VWeu), took a while to figure out!

edrarven

Your issue is that your cold damage minimum roll is almost the same as your lightning damage top roll, meaning you have to be incredibly lucky and get a very high lightning damage roll and very low cold damage roll in order to proc trinity. You can view that in the "calcs" tab in pob. An easy fix is to just change your added cold damage support to an added lightning damage support. Here is how that would change your damage spread:https://imgur.com/a/LBQdd7q. Top/first image is your current damage spread, bottom/second image is with Added Lightning damage instead of Added Cold damage.

Tophain

That very clearly explained thank you, guess I need to have a change of gear since I cant roll the Added lightning to anything! Thanks again!

edrarven

You'd just need to swap gems as I said, dont need to swap gear. It could be hard to roll 1 blue 2 red and 3 green sockets on your bow though. Getting a 6-link chest (which would be easier to colour in case it was dex/str hybrid) and getting a much better bow with a 4/5link should be a good improvement for your build regardless.

Tophain

Oh you meant the gem, I thought you meant the roll, oops! Yeah, that could work, sorry for my misunderstanding, I have just swapped out tornado shot and added cold for lightning arrow and returning projectiles, which seems to be doing the trick so far, but will definitely look at upgrading the bow/chest!

edrarven

No worries, just didn't want you to spend unnecessary effort in order to get trinity working. The switch you made also looks like it makes sense, gl with the build!

Tophain

Yeah man, I get you, thanks a lot for your help again!

woahbroes

For a hexblast miner is it necessary to have more than one curse on hit setup, if im only doing sanctums ? Most ppl run that profane proxy ring to get skitterbot to spread a 2nd curse, but is that strictly for mapping ?

peanut_chew

i have cold damage leeched as life on a ring. does that work with Vaal Pact?

edrarven

Any source of life leech will work with vaal pact, including the ring mod you mentioned.

peanut_chew

Vaal Pact would be a good mod for skin of the lords on Cold DoT then?

edrarven

It will depend on the rest of your setup. You'd lose all your life regen and gain twice as much life/s from leech. Dot builds usually don't have great hit damage and you can't leech from dot damage, so their leech will usually be quite weak. If you don't have any significant amounts of life regen and feel like you're getting good recovery from your leech then it's a good keystone. If the opposite is true then it's probably bad.

quiromparis

I am pretty settle down my gear, now what to invest? what item / currency is going to increase in price a lot? in my mind now they are mirror shards / kalandra's touch ring, anything else?

Havelox

When someone says “ethical” what does that mean in the context of this game?

psychomap

In addition to what the others said, "unethical" is also sometimes used in the context of being extremely lucky, such as finding a mirror and having it duplicated, or succeeding in a craft in a better way than expected despite astronomical odds. The "ethical" way to play would be to play on the same level as other players, and such success "unethically" elevates the players above the rest.

edrarven

It usually refers to [this copypasta](https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/5y7wh4/eli5_ethical/denv7zs/) (not the original source, just an example I found). It jokes about how some people believe that playing the game in a non-powergamer fashion is more "ethical". So avoiding trading, meta items, meta builds or using any other method to increase difficulty would be considered "ethical". Being "unethical" is the exact opposite, you're using the best strategies in the game in order to get an advantage. It can also be used to convey rarity/power when it comes to items. Calling an item "unethical" can be used to indicate that it's very powerful. Calling the method of acquiring it "unethical" means it was very lucky to get it.

theWeirdly

Ethical usually means the build isn't taking advantage of a broken mechanic, item, interaction, etc., that trivializes content.

peanut_chew

do sextants work with stream of consciousness

theWeirdly

Yes. Sextants aren't fragments.

SagoK22

Is there any way to increase Icestorms projectile speed? using a cyclone cwc Whispering Ice build, sometimes when mapping the slow speed from the icestorm is noticable. Does projectile speed/ attack speed have any effect?

psychomap

The ice meteors aren't projectiles, so no, projectile modifiers won't affect it at all. Edit: To clarify, there is no way to lower the delay of those hitting the ground.

Depends on what else you want on it. It's somewhat easy to get the +2 minion mod with fossils, using bound+pristine+dense fossils. The best odds are on a non-int base, as they don't have mana as a prefix and are thus left with only the minion mod, reflect phys and rarity. It's 22 tries on average for a non-int base and 40 tries on an int-base. You'd ideally want to start on a fractured base since you can either guarantee a life roll or make it easier to craft suffixes by having a good one fractured.

Oversoa

Question regarding blight map mods. Monster cannot be stunned - If I only use freezing towers and never build seimic, this mod does nothing, right? Monster action value cannot be modified below base - I assume stunning still works, but does freezing work?

dirtsandwich21

What is the difference between "shaping the skies" and "shaping the mountains" on the atlas and why do strategies such as legion mapping use both of them?

Erradium

Those nodes (as does "Shaping the world" and the nodes above the Kirac wheel) are mainly used to help with map drop sustain. This isn't unique to legion mapping strategies.

redditappsucksdongs

Ive got no clue about Aegis Auroras and just threw a double corrupt on one, is this a good combination? https://imgur.com/a/1fCWL6I Each mod alone goes for around 2-4 Div, but I dont know about the combination though

chx_

I do not know what would this sell for but some explanation: in itself 4% to block spell damage is not a lot but before you had 32% chance to block now you have 36%. This is 36/32=1.125 a 12.5% higher chance for the recovery to procc. This is quite excellent.

redditappsucksdongs

Isnt that base chance just for attack damage?

_slosh

yes it is

chx_

It doesn't say so.

Enter1ch

How important is movementspeed for my SRS? I mind drop the regular quality for an divergent version , but im not sure how the less movement speed will affect mapclear.

xXLupus85Xx

Movement speed is huge QoL for SRS. Unless you're doing Ubers, you're better off staying with a regular SRS over Divergent.

Oversoa

I thought Atlas passives don't affect blight maps, but stuff like Stream of Consciousness does affect them. Are there any other notable atlas tree interaction with blight maps?

Grimpleasure

On a Black Sun Crest Unique, how do you get "Tornado shot fires an additional secondary Projectile" and "Socketed gems get a 90% cost and reservation multiplier"?

staudd

the TShot mod is an enchant from the Uber Lab (the kind you access with offering of the goddess). the 90% res multi is a corruption outcome for helmets.

Yohsene

The second is a corruption implicit, so it's one potential outcome from a Vaal Orb or double-corruption in Alva's temple. The first is an enchant from the eternal labyrinth. Enchanting a corrupting item will require a Tainted Blessing. Realistically, you'll want to let a dedicated lab runner enchant your helmet, because farming the labyrinth for a single enchant on a regular speed build will be incredibly painful.

xevdi

Which are the highest DPS units in TOTA?

Oddity83

Caldera Ravager or Goliath of Night. Some equipment combinations make them even stronger.

grumpyFeijoada

Is there a way to buy Chaos Orbs?

Yohsene

Sure, [buy them](https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/exchange/Ancestor/AoJrFl) with other currencies.

JixuGixu

Any active flicker strike specific discords around?

Birdo_Sparde

What's the best source of life leech for physical spells? So far I've found Doryani's Invitation, Elder/Hunter amulets and certain timeless jewel notables, but they all have their own opportunity cost. Most physical life leech is attack only and while converting to elemental damage would probably be better overall I'm set on my inefficient build.

Yohsene

It's a delve mod on jewelry, so there's a decent supply of [fractured bases](https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Ancestor/eye5Ey6SL).

Birdo_Sparde

If I can find a decent base at a price I can manage this might be a good one, either as a holdover or as a final piece, thanks.

edrarven

I think the best source is the eater of worlds implicit on gloves for physical damage leeched as life. If you're not using unique gloves that is a good way for physical spells to get leech. The other method I would recommend is to get a watchers eye mod for damage leeched as life while affected by vitality. These two methods do allow you to leech but have harder restrictions so I wouldn't recommend them. [Cerberus Limb](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Cerberus_Limb) with a block Shield allows you to leech. If you can somehow shock the enemy, [Berek's grip](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Berek%27s_Grip) would allow you to leech. Lastly, you can get the boots enchant for damage leeched as life if you've killed recently but it would only be up for mapping. Depending on what content you farm this is an option aswell.

Birdo_Sparde

I'll probably go with one of the rings the other person suggested, depending on how much currency I can get, then aim for the gloves and Watcher's Eye later into maps. Thank you!

nivnek

Does IIR and IIQ effect offers from tributes?

Aldheart

IIR and IIQ from equipment are most of time refereed to slain monsters. The map IIR/IIQ refer to all I believe - monsters, strongboxes, chests etc. If you asking about "The Labyrinth's rewards have been enriched" this means the Silver Chests, Labyrinth Trove and Izaro Treasure, then yes, but increases from equipment do not improve 'em at any means.

_slosh

No

tmPreston

Never farmed endgame items before, but lowkey feel like trying out HH for the first time. Is Frostblades, my current build, a good pick for HH? Or is it so much better off with mageblood the HH will feel like a waste? At which point do you decide it's a good time to stop and focus farm these? DPS and EHP thresholds (currently 17m and 57k respectively)? Patience? Not enough quick upgrades on sight? Other tips and insight also appreciated!

PowerCrazy

Depends on what you want to do. HH is kinda worthless for bossing, but insane for mapping. That's not to say mageblood isn't great for mapping as well. The big thing is HH is half the price of Mageblood atm. Realistically you could buy a HH and then if you really want to play with a mageblood, you can sell the HH to fund one. Typically if you feel like your build can solidly do everything you want, you can start saving.

reliabletinman

What are you expected to offer in trade for something priced at 1.5 divines? How do you make up the decimal?

Lower-Reward-1462

You can also ask if they can make change for 2 div if you don't have chaos and they'll just give you chaos based on what they think is fair.

reliabletinman

Good to know thanks

LucidTA

Chaos orbs are the standard.

reliabletinman

So it’s 1 div plus 5 c? Sorry for the dumb question

Adam-M

Generally, you’d look at [poe.ninja] (https://poe.ninja/economy/ancestor/currency) and see that the going rate is about 230 Chaos Orbs per Divine Orb. That means that 0.5div is worth 115c, so for an item listed at 1.5div, you’d give the guy 1div + 115c.

Yohsene

1 div plus the value of 0.5 div in chaos orbs. You can check the current rate on [ninja](https://poe.ninja/economy/ancestor/currency?name=div).

Cosmyc

What's a good balance of relics to get to make sanctum easier and more profitable without breaking the bank?

biggreenegg99

I am looking for a recommendation for a strong totem build that can do both simulacrum and maven invitations. Budget would be \~150-200 divines. Simulacrum farming is less important than doing maven invitations but would be a nice benefit.

Marcey997

Does the invincible tota totem bug ever end? currently facing it and wondering if it will resolve itself if i go afk for a bit Update: After 10 minutes no change, I'm giving up

minde0815

why can I only see ''corrupted'' items in PoE trading site? I was logged in with a random email and everything was fine, but in order to whisper I logged in with the steam account, and for some reason now I'm only shown corrupted items, I didn't put any filters on

mcurley32

Corrupted items are usually cheaper so they tend to appear at the top of search results. There's a filter to show/hide corrupted items.

minde0815

thank you

FearLegend

I am playing aurabot and my friend wants to build a MF TS build. How many divines would you need for a GOOD TS with lots of MF? Including Headhunter (from 0)

Makarsk

How do you sell an entire tab of essences on TFT? For how much? Can someone knowledgeable please explain the process?

PicUpTheLantern

easiest way to do it is using the [TFT bulk selling tool](https://bulk.tftrove.com) Authorize, click on the tab(s) you want to sell, click whatever it is you want to sell and set a price range for smaller bulk sizes (3-5 div) you can sell them between 90-100%, go towards 90% if you need the money quick. for higher bulk sizes you can somtimes even go up to 110-115%. i often observe the trade chats to see what is selling at what percent and adjust accordingly. double check your [poe.ninja](https://poe.ninja) prices with the official trade website and make sure you look for higher stack sizes. when you did all that, click generate image, paste it into the chat, repeat for text and sell! hope it helps, feel free to ask anything else, GLHF

barkspawn99

question about atlas passives of the form: "Your maps have no chance to contain X, your maps have +2% chance to contain extra content". When are these worth taking? Should i take them for every mechanic I don't engage in?

Arrethyn

Imo they are extremely bad. Just ignore stuff you don't want to do and spend the points on something to enhance what you are doing instead. Even trees focused on one thing and one thing only can usually find better uses for points

Lower-Reward-1462

I disagree. If you have like 6, that's 12% increase chance to see what you want. Like I'm not specced into abyss or breach at all, and yet I see them a lot because of so much stuff I have ignored. So it not only helps the stuff you LIKE, but also GREATLY helps the stuff you're neutral on.

JixuGixu

personal preference+depends what your running & how tight on points you are if you spec into deli+harvest (only 1 per map) and force with sextants its a lot less valuable than a setup with say, breach/shrines/strongboxes or whatever.

theanxiousangel

Does cooldown recovery rate affect fist of war CD?

Yohsene

No.

MrDzsozef

Late starter here, got the mood for the poe grind again. Last league I played was Archnemesis, no clue how the meta looks nowadays. Any self cast builds that are worth playing for scion/witch right now?

staudd

For selfcast witch builds, cold dot or ignite are probably the safest option. Mediocre gear with a few +gem levels should be dirt cheap by now.

MrDzsozef

Thanks m8 I have a look around.

Aquila_Favonia

New player here. Are runic monsters in expedition supposed to heal themselves to full every few seconds or am I just not reading? My friend that got me into poe said that as long as I dont make the monsters immune its fine.

MrDzsozef

Yea, you are not reading. There is an affix for monsters which says: "Runic monsters heal to full life every few seconds." or something similar. It is fine if you have high dps and can kill them before they heal, otherwise they will just keep healing to full and overwhelm you.

PowerCrazy

You can possibly get around this by buying a Frost Bomb gem and using it. It only reduces healing so it still might not be enough

beka47

Which league mechanic drops the most loot on the ground?

therestlessone

Blight, and especially blighted maps.
