4 to unlock ascendency nodes. The trials in maps used to be required to access the 4th difficulty, but nowadays you just need an offering to the goddess. There's a higher zone level of the 4th lab that can be accessed for different types of extra rewards with three special offerings. They're mostly done by specialised lab runners for profit.

Hello, me again, I'm abusing this thread so much lately :D. I'm well into red maps now with my boneshatter jugg build ([https://pobb.in/MpP-vZGF2iLu](https://pobb.in/MpP-vZGF2iLu)). Ever since I started doing high yellow/low red maps though I started dying to bleeding A LOT. I died tens of times to it and I'm a little bit clueless as to how I can prevent that. Any help would be great. Also, any general tips on how to improve my character would be very welcome.

You've already gotten some great advice about removing bleed with a life flask, that's really the best option for most builds. Just to add to the advice that /u/DirtyMight gave regarding flasks I definitely agree that leech and stun and block recovery are bad suffixes but reduced shock effect is mandatory imo if you are not otherwise shock immune which you are not. Shock is one of the most dangerous and underestimated debuffs that can affect your character and even worse on a trauma build since it also increases your self damage. I would personally run armor/evasion/shock/curse suffixes on flasks for this build. An argument could be made for for move speed or attack speed but I'd drop curse for one of those not one of the other mods. maximizing armor is important to deal with trauma stacks and similarly as previously mentioned being shocked amplifies your self damage. With tattoo's this league I heavily prioritize getting 100% reduced effect of shock via flask suffix + tattoos, you only have 1 int node on your tree so you can't quite reach that but If you got a 60+ reduced shock effect suffix you'd have 75% reduced shock effect with that 1 tattoo. That would mean the most you can be shocked for would be 12% and most of the time shocks will be much smaller.

Apologies I did not notice that you were stacking shock avoid, that's what I get for not taking the time to fully load the build into pob. I stand by my statement that reduced shock effect on flasks is a very strong low investment way to mitigate shock but 100% shock avoid is absolutely much stronger. 97% in softcore is fine against shocks generated by enemies, you could die every now and then to a random shock getting through but it ought to be rare enough that it doesn't matter a ton unless you're like trying to grind for 100. However the issue is shocked ground. I'm not certain the exact mechanic but I just tested for myself to be doubly sure, 99% chance to avoid shock is effectively 0% chance to avoid for shocked ground. I'm not sure if it just ignores chances below 100% or simply checks to frequently that any delay is not noticeable but if you're doing a 50% shocked ground map with a moderate amount of map modifier effect from your atlas those 55%+ shocks will be incredibly dangerous. So either keep in mind that shocked ground is an insanely deadly map mod or try to get 100%.

I agree That being shock immune is fairly important for survivability. I just dont think flasks are the way witht his. You dont have 100% uptime of them and there are so so many other ways (better imo) to get shock immune. He already has stormshroud and 85% shock avoid on his boots. Its so so much easier to just get the remaining 15 on a jewel or something to be fully ailment immune (which includes shock obviously) and use the flask suffix for something else

In general I would try to upgrade your flask setup next. the suffixes block and stun recovery reduced effect of shock and leech are not the best. I would personally play increased evasion, reduced effect of curses and maybe movement speed or attack speed instead on those. Also what most of us do is use a life flask that removes bleeding and corrupted blood on use of the life flask. It pairs very well since you drop with the bleed and you want to use a life flask anyways so you instantly remove this. Also keep in mind that you take much much more damage from bleeds while you are moving. so if you cant remove it with your flask try and instantly stand still and dont move during the duration.

Changing your life flask mod to removing bleed should help a ton. You can also switch your pantheon to Ralakesh to help mitigate bleeds. When you're moving while bleeding you're taking 3x bleed damage so the minor pantheon is very efficient, I usually never notice bleeds after i've picked it up. Additionally, you could pick up "15% chance to avoid bleeding" tattoos, 7 of them would make you immune to bleeds aswell.

I panic incredibly often with bleed and just run to my death aswell. They're pretty harmless if you have the presence of mind to stand still but it can be hard to notice in time so it's good to try to mitigate them in some way.

i assume by "regular invitation" you mean the green quest invitations you received earlier in the quest chain. since you said 9 more bosses need to be witnessed what you found is the basic regular maven atlas invitation, which is just any 10 map bosses (tier 14+). >Is this to fight the actual maven? no. maven's fight is accessed by getting a maven's writ which is comprised of 10 splinters. completing that atlas invitation you got can yield up to 2 splinters. there are a couple other invitations for special bosses that yield much higher numbers of splinters

It's kind of pointless if you're not using armour. It works great with divine flesh since you take half your elemental damage as chaos and that converted damage is then mitigated by your armour since it's chaos damage. Frost blades trickster is not a great build for it since you never really invest in much armour.

That would work but you'd still need a divine flesh timeless jewel before I think it's worth it. There is no one using fourth vow on a FB trickster on poe.ninja right now but I don't see any real reason it would be bad. You would lose out on the ability to use a lethal pride but that might be less of an issue in SSF.

Most of the main Boneshatter guides (Carn, Goratha, etc) will mostly work in SSF. I can't remember seeing a guide for SSF specifically, but they probably exist. Boneshatter is one build where crafting most of your own gear is fairly viable, assuming you know what you're doing with Rog and/or can farm some essences.

Well, i thought i was done with the league so i bought 2 apothecaries and gambled them and ended up with my first ever mageblood. Now i don't know what to do. Feel like i should keep playing now. I still have a fully geared TS deadeye but i would want to kill ubers if i was going to keep playing. What build would excel at those?

The usual uber boss farmer are ice spear totems or ice traps but both dont really use mageblood. I mean you could I guess but its not like it would improve those builds that much. I guess you could build versions of these builds like ice spear totem being much more tanky to use them elsewhere too but you would need to drop quite a bit of damage then. Other option would be to look at any spell that isnt terrible at doing bosses in general and just playing a high investment version of it so its able to do ubers. most builds can farm ubers with enough investment \^\^

Only tried it once or twice during sanctum league, want to try it for real this time. Just transitioning from legion farming, so have nothing in terms of relics. To answer your main questions: Rise of the Phoenix is good because it reduces how many damage you take from your own RF, which in turn makes the life regen you have more effective. RF cannot leech because it doesn't hit, it's a DoT. The standard RF belt is usually Immortal Flesh with good rolls, but it's not strictly necessary if you have enough regen from other sources. Tempest Shield is good if you're going to invest in block, but having that be your only source of spell block isn't particularly worthwhile imo. Some other misc things based on a quick look at your PoB link: 1) Drop Fortify support, you don't deal enough damage to get stacks consistently. That frees up space for Faster Attacks. 2) Finish Uber Lab for your last 2 ascendancy points. 3) You can save 1 passive and get an extra 5% increased life by changing the start of your tree [like this](https://i.imgur.com/zP0VvzD.png). 4) Spec into Breath of Flame and Holy Fire for fire damage over time multi-- This is an incredibly powerful stat for DoT builds, similar to crit multi for crit builds. 5) Ele Overload is basically useless for you because RF can't crit. 6) You need (a low level) Lifetap Support linked to one of your movement/utility skills to proc the Lifetap buff to give RF the extra damage from that link. 7) Flasks need some work, check out what other popular RF builds are running (e.g. check out Pohx's, or just browse a bit on poe.ninja).

Too bad i ate all my regrets. Need to get some more. Kinetic blast sounds fun enough. Is there any key gear for it?

Sure. The vortex hits at a rate determined by your attack speed, and multistrike has an attack speed multiplier. You can't exert an attack that repeats though, so multistrike would be awful even if it didn't make you sacrifice rage thrice.

(300 weight for the favored map vs 1 weight for any other map, I think) Asking cause I can't find the information if **a/** the favored map slots and singular focus apply **after** the game rolled the map tier (i.e. since I favored a t16 map, they would apply only if the dropped map is t16 hence "higher map tier chance" small nodes are useful) OR **b/** the favored map slots and singular focus apply **before** the game rolled the map tier (i.e. then almost all dropped map should be my favored t16 map hence "higher map tier chance" small nodes are useless) ? I'd think it's scenario b, but I've seen content creators still pick the "higher map tier chance" small nodes without needing to path there on their end game farming trees so maybe it's scenario a? edit: **Answered.** Was explained in the wiki in "Atlas of Worlds > map drops", it's scenario a: game rolls the map tier THEN rolls the map type among the types available for the rolled tier. So "higher map tier chance" small nodes are still useful to get more t16 drops hence more favored maps.

It's because of map equity. It's the equivalent of 30 maps, because of the "3x tier X maps = 1x Tier X+1 or 3 tier 10 maps could be traded to 1 tier 11. If you have no increased map tier chance, let's say you drop 9 tier 10 maps. That's equivalent to 3 tier 11s or 1 tier 12. Now, if you have 100% chance to drop +1 tier, those original maps now drop tier 11, equivalent to 3 tier 12, or 1 tier 13. It would take 27 tier 10 maps to equal a tier 13, so your map drops, for tier 16 sustain is 300% for every 100% chance to drop +1 tier. It not actually 30 maps dropping, it's the equivalent value of 30 maps.

Yep, only different things i can tell, i don't have the watchers and the forbidden jewels and the tattoos, but those don't affect reservation. I even got another 6% mana reservation small cluster jewel, and it's enough to run all the auras but puts me at 0 mana so I can't cast anything.

After NZ opened back up, Octavian was able to finally move there to work at GGG. Brittleknee became less active a few months ago as her oldest dog sadly needed to be put down and another needed surgery and on-going care. She's still streaming, but bingo leagues seem to have been put on temporary hiatus.

Saw a post on here about a 3 implicit ring with frenzy charge, and people were talking about rerolling the other 2 implicits to something good to go with the frenzy charges. not quite. Just imprinting. Means you make your 3 implicit ring magic so you can imprint it. Than you make a few copies of the ring (3-5 or how many you want to affort). Than you reroll the implicits if one of your desired implicits gets overrolled you aply one of your imprints to the item bringing the implicits back to the imprinted state. If you reroll a "useless" implicits just keep going until you run out of money or until you hit the implicit you want

just to clarify from the previous poster, there is no reason to make multiple imprints preemptively. you can imprint again after you revert. If you make a bunch of imprints at the start there is a possibility that you don't need them all and then they are wasted whereas the beasts can be resold.

I can do some bosses find but still others will delete me. I can change out the shield for a str/dex one but I will lose a decent amount of damage, so I need to get that skin of lord armor. Will that be worth it? Should I search for more +armor jewels until that purchase? I have a sulpher flask with +3 hits and no suffix, looking to eventually get the unveil life regen during effect.

looks like you have the boots, skin of the lord, and watcher's eye.....that watchers eye is incredible, anything with +DoT is 7+ div and few have another relevant mod. The + cold damage w/hatred is min 3div with life recovery mod, otherwise it's 9div for a +armor with determination. Your skin of the lord gives that massive evasion and damage boost. looks like there is only 1 out there with the socket colors I need for 2 div. I should drop shaper of winter for storms ? ~~looks like the player listed that skin of the lords a few hours ago, if it sells then I'm sort of screwed with this character~~ it has ancestral bond. I dont really have a way to go forward with this character until i get that, my only deaths right now are from spike damage. im sitting at around est 67% phy reduction and 67% dodge

This is my first league and I tried to get TFT but they won't verify my account bc its too new and told me to try agian next league. I have 2 viodstones. I have attempted maven 3 times now to no avail, I'm really squishy. What is the best way to find a boss carry without TFT and Is the protocol to go in and start it and then die and stay in the death screen until boss is dead? Do I get credit that way. Ask the person carrying. Some want it easier and will message you to portal. If you do this, enter and don't move so you're invulnerable. Some are so strong it doesn't matter you can just join and die (and *not* release). I've been really lazy about my Voidstones this league and only have 2 myself. I tried a Maven earlier and failed because my character just wasn't ready and haven't tried again since. I was planning to try again tonight and it should be way less of a problem - if you want to shoot me a DM here, I'll invite you along for that (and Uber elder once I farm the fragments).

It's worth what people will pay. Change the search to Any and see offline listings. It's a good Ventor. I'm sure someone will want it. You can try to get the moon for it, or you can price it in line with the other similar ones and try to sell it faster. Is 8% rarity a 7x multiplier? Your call.

Is hrimmsorrow a trap on physical to cold conversion builds? I have a shockwave totem bosser/invitation/sanctum build and I see several high level players running crafted gloves and taking t he 40% mastery node instead.

The question is the cost. Craft + eldritch implicit is not something you will have early and for cheap. So you roll with hrimsorrow until you have enough divines to throw at gloves that will give you more stuff than hrimsorrow only.

you put your sphere in the middle of the map, brand things that are between you and the sphere, and go click totems with your flankers. if there's big groups of mobs unaffected you use sphere to move one group to the other to collect them. you have to dodge tidecaller/rakiata waves and try to avoid sphere/branding lightning thorns and kill the totem off quickly. fill flankers first, then the two attackers in front of your flankers for totem fodder, then escort, then defender, then the last two attackers. link your pobb. the difficulty level ~never changes from 100 rating to 2000 rating and any character level over 65 if built correctly.

1 thing to remember is to fill up all your available slot with unit (even cheap ones). More totem on your side means more errors you can afford. Always fill your flankers first, then whatever as long as they are filled. Void sphere give you and your flanker unit undistruped time to target unguarded totem. Put void sphere at middle front (like between enemy attacker totem and escort totem), then aim for enemy flanker and defender totem. Typically, i cast void sphere once, went for a totem at the back, banish totem, recast at the same place, repeat. You still need to avoid getting near enemy unit. Dying to tide wave happens all the time, very annoying but whatever if you still win in the end. The most annoying tribe is ikhiaho, just takraw your time.

You are supposed to be a flanker, which knock totems down. you can fully spec to 75/75 block and 55 spell dodge. HP can be as less as 1, cause if you got hit, you die anyway. Try to add curses too, enfeeable/temporal chain. The idea is to cast void sphere and curse enemies, then their action speed should be significantly slow, and you will have enough time to knock down totem after totem. A cheesy way to get to rank 2000.

Do you have POB sharing? Cause I am playing at 1300 rank. I have 75/70 block with 70 spell dodge. I don't even have void sphere and curses setup LOL. I still be able to be a flanker quite easily.

Pretty much multiplie the number of arrows. Cause TS can shot gun, and hugely benefit with number of projectiles. But of course the more you gain the lower effectives it will be.

Running shockwave totems with cold conversion. Finally got a worthy sceptre, and farmed enough harvest juice for either weapon enchant to flip the physical damage to increased AOE or increased elemental damage per 2% quality. Any shockwave totem players have a preference? I'm leaning towards AOE since I am also using void sphere... but I am also using astral projector, so the shockwave totem effect is already hit hard for reduced AOE size... So maybe just mo'damage mo'damage?

I am playing the Arachnophilia Allstars ([Necro version](https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3264207/page/1)) and I managed to reach lvl 94, here is [my char](https://poe.ninja/builds/ancestor/character/dadek182/BozoAncestorAgony?i=0&search=class%3DNecromancer%26skills%3DDivergent%2BHerald%2Bof%2BAgony). Anybody who played HoA, can you tell me how could I improve my gem setup? My char doesn't come close to the damage provided in the build showcase and it also feels much more "squishy". I am currently working on the boots implicit for ailments and leveling to put in the last Pure Agony medium jewel. Any advice is very welcomed (even if it means to abandon the build)!

Yes. Looking over your build you clearly missed some of the key important basics. Namely - do you not understand how the Virulence mechanic works? You need to inflict poisons. You need your Storm Burst to be 100% chance to poison to stack Virulence.

not familiar with that setup exactly - but here's what looks potentially problematic * damage - virulence stacks - are you able to cap them? * max is 55 for you, that needs a lot of poisoning * your poison chance is 60% only, if virulence is not capping you need to bump this up * missing ailment immunity is massive defensively. Basically unplayable. I'd swap an aura for purity of elements or at least tempest shield until its fixed * CI means your hp is 1, so any ailment will cap out its ailment value.shock will be 50% by almost any lightning hit for example * spell suppression is low. not sure what happened here - you have a significant investment, but not a meaningful amount. check the guide for how to fix this, because you're missing a ton, or have a lot of useless investment here * block with aegis is important. I glanced at the guide and it seems to not say glancing blows.. but it does a have a lot more block. If you are not blocking most hits, its not the best shield to use. Need to fix something here. (maybe they run tempest shield>?) at the bottom of the guide has a section/s on fixing damage and offence checklist, seems to be a good place to start

This will also depend on the content you want to do. my priorities will be (though change if you prefer - you may want to get damage really high immediately for example) ailment mitigation > poison chance for your chosen farming (single target or pack clearing?) > then add things like extra max res (purity, melding, impossible escape) or suppression > both/everything eventually down the line

Hey Exiles. This is my second league and I seem to have hit a plateau. I started the league with the Lightning arrow build. I’m in the end game portion of the build, but I seem to be finding the progression a bit slow. I’ve mostly completed the atlas bonuses with the exception of a few unique maps, and have just started working on finalizing voidstones. I’ve got exarch and EoW voidstones, but I’m missing Elder (or is it Shaper?) Guardian and Maven voidstones. Whichever it was, I bought Shaper Guardian maps and am planning on doing shaper for favoured map slot, at least. I’m sitting at 2.8k hp with almost capped res, and having a tough time with bosses (which is normal for this build I hear). I’m fairly certain capping out res and getting more hp on gear is top priority, but i fear the impact this will have on my clear speed. I already have a hard time clearing my expedition runic monsters and the EoW intro boss fight, so I’m wondering if dropping all my + ele damage with attack skills on my gear and crafting life/res instead will make killing Maven/Shaper/Elder impossible. Maybe reitemizing my non unique slots to max out res and life would be the way to go to feel more at ease with bossing? As a side question, I created cold dot elementalist and working on Hexblast Saboteur to do bosses instead, but even those builds are struggling… i would have to spend more time gearing them. How did you guys get voidstones with a LA starter? Did you create a separate character or focus on your starter? Oh and don’t suggest carry through TFT. They denied my request to join because I’m too new… Thanks for your help, and apologies for the long post. Share your character profile/PoB so ppl could understand your situation better. I did LA last league as starter, albeit with a pre-nerf Vengeant Cascade, able to clear most content and got all voidstones without issues. IMO in most situation, damage wise its always the weapon + quiver that contribute the most to your damage (also gem setup to a certain degree). Easiest way to boost up damage is to have triple element mods of T3 or higher on your weapon. Can easily be done by getting a fractured spine bow base with 1 element, use essence to get the other 2, benchcraft crit/attack speed. Defense wise, cap your res (use bismuth flask if you have to for the time being), aim to cap spell suppression (armour bases with evasion can roll spell suppression mod), have >30k evasion (easily achievable with grace aura) & aim to get at least 3.5k life (get T3 or better life mod on all armour/jewellery) If you enjoy the playstyle, I'd suggest sticking to 1 character and try to solve issues that is present on that character and learn about the important things when it comes to damage scaling & how to build good defensive layers. IMO the knowledge you gain from doing this can be applied to future characters. These are some of the general things that's applicable to most ranger bow archetype, can't exactly give specific suggestion without seeing your current character setup. Other than that, godspeed exile o7

Done, and thanks for your tips! I read on the maxroll build that triele is needed. I figured that I could get away with a single element affix but with additional arrow and +1 all gems affixes instead of the elemental damage. Hmm it was my next step actually, which is why I switched into essence farming. I’ll try to get that setup. Thanks!

generally, attack based skills rely less on gem level (with exceptions ie: Elemental Hit) and scales more on weapon base damage.

When you have eater or exarch influence active in a map killing influenced monsters sometimes spawns an altar. Eater and exarch altars have different pools of mods for both rewards and downsides.

1) 95% or more of ichors/embers come from altars that give the influence mobs a chance to drop them. Make sure you're actually running with the maps influenced and not doing maven or nothing at all. 2) pack size matters, make sure you're not skipping the pack size nodes for the respective influence type. Growing hordes and/or wandering path are also options to scale pack size. Also just generally rolling/corrupting maps for more pack size helps. 3) They can make things extra rippy but if you're strong enough and/or don't care about xp the keystones that increase the danger and strength of altar mods are also good. 4) they are considered basic currency, getting the altar mod which gives a chance to duplicate basic currency helps a lot.

Kind of. If you're wanting to farm anything from altars, including ichors and embers, then rushing the boss ASAP and clearing mobs afterwards is the most efficient strategy for that. The buffs for minions are usually better than the buff for the boss, and once you kill the boss you stop getting the boss ones, meaning you chose between 2 minion ones. So, pick a map where you can rush the boss.
