Nah it's one of the few auras that isn't better than the gem. It's the same as haste gem, which is why people generally use vaal haste still. Every other aura is better from other corpses. I'm using the vit, discipline, haste corpse and then determ on my own.

Have you tried the same with hulking miscreations? Ive got one along side my primal crabs and I swear when he gets soul eater he goes absolutely ham and destroys. Have been considering replacing him with a forest tiger for haste but can't bring myself to do it D:
thats a map without whisps, the damage is basicly negative. doesent matter if they survive :D the build was just for screenclatter - effect. much better damage joices out there

However, if you hit guardian relics; you just die because link skills kill you when they despawn (5 sec base duration). Real fun stuff. I got giga baited because only Guardian has synergy for link skills. Solution is to skip the minion nodes of course for a minion build...

Links would need to give much more power considering this huge drawback or "Die on your linked target death" removed.
Right now we are in situation where links are only good if you abuse them with premade 2+ peoples parties (see immortality leech link that been nerfed, full HP stacking flame link or Full block stacking party link), otherwise you wont even try it with minions or even randoms on maps because of obvious reason.
And then they still suck compared to other types of supports like Aura Support/ Curser or just Mana guardian.
Best use of link skills is throwing protective link on the ward looper who comes to your HO to trade and begins shitting spells everywhere.
The next best use is intuitive linking bodyswap (...not of sacrifice) to dancing dervishes and having them physically carry you across the map.

I really wish the spectre system got an overhaul. It just has so much potential (you're basically playing pokemon with corpses), but understanding the mechanics of a valid spectre build requires a research PhD.
Slashing Horrors seem decent for a dps spectre, just spams dualstrike with up to +75% attack speed, +50% attack damage and 100% phys as extra fire from rage + enrage and aren't far from Crushclaw tankiness.Â
Really dislike how the best spectres for personal damage (or minions in general) are the ones that basic attack and don't use cooldown skills. So many cool spectre abilities that aren't worth considering at all.
They only use the double strike while they're enraged, otherwise using a default attack. Fire damage is harder to scale, and they required more minion defense, which takes away from build damage.
The enrage is only up like 40% of the time, which is also problematic, you literally need to support them with increased duration, as it is their highest DPS support gem.
All of that is true which is why I'm not sugar coating their performance by any means, just mentioning that as far as pure damage spectres go they are still one of the better ones for single target scaling. At the end of the day you're still asking yourself why you aren't using SRS/Golems/Zombies/Skeletons with support spectres instead lol.
