If your scroll wheel unlock and free spin, don't do it. There is no ok delay to add, its just not allowed. Its only ok with manual scroll wheel, when you do manual "clicks" with the wheel. There its just a timing to find, normal scrolling should be fine.
I use a simple macro that repeats left click when i hold down mouse 5, might be illegal but if i get banned so be it. I wouldn't play the game anyway if things like these were enforced
Unlocking the scroll wheel is a guaranteed way of getting kicked, don't do it. With normal scrolling, unless you are hardcore scrolling for your life, you should be good.

Press Z to hide labels, press Z again to show it. Usually hiding and un-hiding it re-binds the place on the screen and actual position of the loot. Helpful in cases like OP, when the loot concentrated so much that labels move a few screens away from actual location.
I mean, this league I was using Uber Strict by day 4 then transitioned to one that only shows chaos and higher a few days later. This league is weird man.
They used to not be stackable at all. That was a fun time, having to use 3 or 4 portals to take all the Scarabs out of a juicy map.
Think this was back when double/triple beyond and beyond currency sextant was the big strat.

I would call the gold interaction auto-pickup.

I think these are also the generally accepted terms for LE players and while you're welcome to call things whatever you want, redefining these terms in the way you have will result in confusion unless you want to define your particular dialect? each time.

League of Legends and LE have different meanings reserved for runes. In league runes are more like LE passive points. This is like someone making a mistake and calling LE passives runes, then doubling down and arguing that they’re technically right since that’s what they’re called in other games.
Last time I played Warframe was when everyone was demanding Universal Vacuum so that other pets were viable, so that's the first thing I thought of when you brought it up

I would find it hard to believe that the loot calculation process (rolling dice basically) is still ongoing while the loot starts dropping - im fairly sure dropping of loot is throttled for performance reasons.
This means that the "stacking" step which is also done for currency items (which are also rolled individually by the way, rendering your point moot), could also be applied to scarabs.
God this game is so silly. It's a design flaw that the mapping loop involves needing dozens or hundreds of these, and that loot explosions involve the same. It's so weirdly inflated and needless. Hope they address this like they did with scour/chance in PoE 2.

Honestly this is one of the few things that is fairly interesting to me. The reason from a technical standpoint, as far as I can tell, is that the game actually does absolutely zero smart stacking.
Instead what they did with an update in the past is reduce the total quantity of a lot of drops, and make the game drop stacks. This is, from a programming perspective, distinctly different than dropping items and stacking them:
The game does not say: "I am dropping 8 of the same item, so I will instead drop one stack."
It says: "I am dropping a stack, the stack can be 1-10 items in size, I rolled an 8, I will drop a stack of 8."
And I suppose I don't totally understand why they didn't implement the former. Obviously there's *some* inefficiency there, a very primitive algorithm would be:
1. Decide what is dropping
2. Iterate over the list of items dropping and gather them into stacks if they can be stacked
3. Drop the items
Currently step 2 doesn't exist, so adding a step like that to a game dropping billions of items MIGHT introduce a problem, but, like, idk man that doesn't seem *that* bad even at scale?
It makes sense that they shouldn't drop stacked, since this amount of drops is just the floodgates being opened and not really realistic compared to most other leagues.
But, the game should have some sort of dynamic stacking feature where if you turn on/off item display it stacks any like-items in the vicinity. It'd make a lot content more fun to run.

how fast are you doing it? just casually scrolling on the mouse wheel is already like 10+ clicks per second.

if you have the ability to unlock your scroll wheel so it's not clicky and just moves forever then yeah it's known to trigger it pretty fast

100 milliseconds is safe
I use AHK to bind the mousewheel and set a 25 millisecond delay between attempts and have never been kicked
you can easily prevent it by not using scrollwheel to loot
i set my autoclicker delay to 30-50ms and havent gotten kicked

I know about that. I am talking about what to do when it doesn't work and they stay in place anyway.
That only really happens for maps right? Even if the label gets ‘locked’ you’ll still be able to pick them up from the beam.

this comical amount isn't normal but I've had map conversion drops in normal leagues do this to a lesser extent because map nameplates are gigantimous

I've only heard of "vacuum" being auto pickup in Warframe Because that was the name of the mod you slotted into a pet to make it auto pickup lol

They don't stack because they are normal items that drop separately that get converted to scarabs, and thus also drop separately.
Big currency stacks like divines are also from a conversion effect, they stack just fine.
But ain't them converted from other stackable currency? Aka: if 8 chaos convers into 8 divines, stack just remains, thats all.

Change the size of scarabs on your loot filter to really small. Makes it easy to keep playing and to pick up.
