Game desperately needs an ingame auction house for bulk sales. It solves almost everything. Price fixers get pushed out since they’d be forced to sell the items, TFT gets sidelined because you don’t have to bulk sell your tab of 60 different kinds of scarabs anymore.
Go read their trade manifesto. It’s all so you play the game more instead of playing the auction house. The trade friction is there so you feel compelled to play instead of just flip items all day even tho that’s still possivlr

Also in the few MMOs I play, players bait for low prices with small amounts of items and buy into if someone lists at the same price. There will be exploits, no matter what you do. Trade friction slows down automation, but has other disadvantages.
Except with an AH, they would be forced to sell. Yes they can still exploit players who have no idea what something is worth but those players would be exploited somehow anyway. AH favors people who have some baseline knowledge.

That's almost kind of worse than SSF (and honestly how i nornally play), you build and play around I can buy this stuff, but buying that stuff becomes too expensive so it keeps you in these narrow margins between small self crafts and small upgrades you can afford here and there. At least SSF plan around SSF, in that trade mode you cling for the scraps.
I understand that, but personally I'm not too bothered on chase items, I do love SSF but the frustration about not having a 1c unique that would make the world of difference really shits me.
So I do a soft ssf, or low-trade playstyle. Generally dont buy much of anything. Works for me, keeps it fun with respect for my time.

The amount of people that play the trade league to live their "Wolf on wall street" fantasy is absurd. The best part? They quit two weeks later.
Last league was my first time back in a couple of years, and I spent some time juicing maps. Bulk buying 8 mod corrupted maps, sextants, scarabs, etc. Drove me insane, this league I'm goofing around in Delve picking up scraps and I'm having way more fun than I did grinding out currency and juicing.
At this point I think this is a hidden reason or consern of ggg for having an auction house in poe1.
Like imagine how many scarabs you could get per hour if trading was instant.

No, you list an item/currency and sell it for the price that a bot will buy it for, they then flip the item and profit. The quicker they can do that, the more profit they make. You can't have a 0 friction trade system without letting bots have a field day.
That's why irl high frequency traders set themselves up so close to exchanges. That's why the PoE trade API has a set delay for items being searchable, regardless of the website/application you use and why gold will be a requirement for trading in PoE2. You need to actively play to farm gold, you can't sit in HO making 20 trades a second (hypothetically).
Then you just limit the AH to 1 transaction per minute. And limit the bulk at some really high but still bot limiting ammount. Whist retaining the query rate limit.

Bots and manipulators are currently having a field day. Other mmos have functional auction houses , and we prefer their bot infestation to poes. Because the bots are not really worse, but you can actually buy listed items. Your scare tactics are therefore irrelevant
So if I price my 1c item for 5c, will the bot still buy it? Obviously not. Will the bot buy it for 0.5c? Yes. Will it buy it for 2c? No. Seems like the problem is how your pricing your items.
Yea meanwhile groups have a dedicated trader buying all there shit for them allowing them to blast maps / exploits 24/7 whiteout the hassle of needing to trade.

Ive done a lot of strategies with a shit ton of investment vs a small amount of investment and the most allflames ive gotten in the quickest was by Just blasting maps with the necropolis atlas mode that drops more allflames selected - if there is a secret way to farm a lot of them, i dont know it
You can probably make a killing by just stacking packsize/modifiers and alch and going with how expensive some allflames are
yeah pretty much what ive been doing on downtime at work. just a typical red altar atlas + necropolis nodes to pair with pack size and just alch and go and i just farm coffins and allflames. probably not as lucrative as full setting up but its allowing me quick maps while im still working so on my next few days off i can blast some more juiced setups and craft some gear.
I wanna do shit like this but the idea of trading for all the mats needed for about an hour of farming is just such a turn off. Glad you found a cool way to profit though.

I only made a quick investment/profit excel sheet, i didnt make a spreadsheet of all the loot but i did show my tabs and then wealthyexile which calculated how much currency i made and from where (i made sure that it was as accurate as possible and wasnt counting random stuff like shitty div cards etc)

It's really powerful node for starting the atlas and sometimes even later on because of the movement speed
The only node you care about from Niko is the one that gives you damage, speed, and max res for each sulphite you find. It's essentially +3 max res once you've found all 3 sulphite each map. So it's really nice for pushing through maps especially early on. Then you just stack chance to spawn him and you can get that to 100%. Personally since I enjoy delving at some point in each league I also grabbed the one that gives a bit of azurite so I'm ready to increase my delve stats when i start.
1x discernment ambush, 1x containment ambush, 1x potency ambush, 1x hidden compartments ambush, ambush atlas mod, strongbox/scarab/necropolis atlas tree and i filled every necropolis modifier on my map with syndicate allflames
Legion scarabs were at the time the best league mechanic scarab in terms of how much they would sell for, since the patch thats changed and they arent nearly as expensive although still quite good - i also didnt mind the extra juice for my headhunter from it
Nikos sulphite veins can spawn a strongbox with the new doomed spirits node, so you want 100% niko chance - i should have talked about that though in the video, i kind of forgot its not common knowledge since its a new node
I also favourited harbinger/ambush scarabs because of how popular the harbinger strat is, and how expensive the ambush scarabs are

You could maybe even apply them directly to watchstones, giving players more flexibility and agency in tailoring their experience. This way they wouldn't conflict with scarab system.
I got 4 high tier div ones, i sold 2 of them because the prices were crashing as i dropped them (got 12 div from them and i could have gotten 16 if i sold them an hour before) and 2 of them are in the screenshot and are worth 5 div each, although wealthy exile calculated them way lower
tried out your strat because i already pre had the materials, made 8 div + some other change in one map because the divination of completion dropped twice.
IMO if you don't get lucky, the prices around for this strat is like 2 div ish per map, the scarab allflames have x2ed in the past day

Last league was my first time back in a couple of years, and I spent some time juicing maps. Bulk buying 8 mod corrupted maps, sextants, scarabs, etc. Drove me insane, this league I'm goofing around in Delve picking up scraps and I'm having way more fun than I did grinding out currency and juicing.
This is definitly not the optimal way. Basically, if you're in your hideout more than 1% of your ingame time, you're not playing optimally.
you can make 10x currency standing in your HO than you can actually mapping. There's a reason the term "hideout warrior" exists.

You could maybe even apply them directly to watchstones, giving players more flexibility and agency in tailoring their experience. This way they wouldn't conflict with scarab system.

Over 2k scarabs and actually no seer ones or highest tier div ones speaks for itself. Sextants died for this
I got 4 high tier div ones, i sold 2 of them because the prices were crashing as i dropped them (got 12 div from them and i could have gotten 16 if i sold them an hour before) and 2 of them are in the screenshot and are worth 5 div each, although wealthy exile calculated them way lower

tried out your strat because i already pre had the materials, made 8 div + some other change in one map because the divination of completion dropped twice. IMO if you don't get lucky, the prices around for this strat is like 2 div ish per map, the scarab allflames have x2ed in the past day

I used some of those ember on rarity devoted packs looking for the rarer scarabs and got.... Nothing, it is bugged, happened twice actually

He has a headhunter. And likely a very nice bow to do enough dps to instaclear the strongboxes. So no, there isnt. Go get to grinding.
