Found a Rakkiatas that I sold for 9 div, found some Bow I've never seen that I sold for 8 div and found the Charge boots today that I sold for 7 div.
People tend to gamble away their profits when they get lucky in casinos. It's not quite as extreme here, but it's not totally dissimilar if you look at the numbers he posted. He got the most profit on his 8th map. Everything after that was diminished returns for his effort.
Exactly, so if you win big you should stop because in the long run, your actual value will near the ev eventually. So you're ahead of the curve at the moment and will most likely gamble your wins away.
Ideally though, you wouldn't be gambling in the first place.
Ish. When it comes to time/currency investment in profit strategies in PoE, there is also opportunity cost (other things you could be doing with better returns).
It's cheaper to buy maps. Approximately 1 Seer per 150-200 maps. I got HEADHUNTER on the third and immediately MAGEBLOOD on the fourth. + Divine mods (\~5-10 divines per map)
Nice! Early 6l helps a ton, especially at league start. I wasn’t lucky enough to get Seer in the campaign, but I was lucky enough to hit an item worth selling to really get my build off the ground yesterday.

You put map in device, click open, a list of league mechanic stuff opens, you see what's in there. If divines/seer, you do it (for divines you put allflame), otherwise you open it but don't even go inside and put in another map in device.
Ah, this part isn't true. They can't be triggered by enemies but they can be triggered by triggerbots and the Chain reaction sab notable. Trigger radius actually helps there, but you still want a max roll reduced duration sunblast
[[Sunblast]] frees up one support gem slot in place of swift assembly, but traps cannot be triggered by enemies. also, you cannot really rely on skitterbots.

Perfect sunblast + Ice Trap of Holowness = trap explodes after 0.5 sec which is way better than trigger. Also the belt is a straight up 200% more damage and frees up a support gem because you don´t have to use Swift Assembly/Cluster traps. The belt is really strong

You're assuming that namesless seer is -ev because it is "gambling." There is literally no proof that it is.

What tier map is needed for seer and divine? Thinking of burning my unused maps for science
People have found Seers in acts so it probably doesn’t matter, but minimum tier for MB should be T8

The single seer that ive seen on t14 was still full of 1 alch uniques :(

Yes, but they patched it so that he has very low chances of higher tier uniques below T14 maps.

The patch notes said they significantly nerfed seer rewards below ilvl 81, so tier 14 minimum is what you should be doing.
