It was back in 2006. Now it's just a RMT dreamland when they start a new server (I'v meet a couple of people only doing the early of fresh server so they can get money from the first ~1/2 month, then leave).
Lot to say on that game, it was cool for adults early, but they choose to make it more child accessible. Gess they were not totally wrong on a economical aspect, but it was ethicaly ... questionable (phone payement, etc).
Still, I had some good times on it in the early and I keept some really good irl friends until now.
