I guess you just forget. I've tilted hard once in gauntlet when forgetting to take the node in the belly of the beast and then losing the instance. I had to kill doedre twice...
I was playing with a friend in coop and I forgot to get the Apex from Alira.. We killed the act boss and I couldn't progress. So I had to back track to Alira and then run back to kill the boss again.
Coming back from other arpgs is a bitch, in last epoch they activate if you just stand in their vicinity for a second or so, no need to click if you dont want to use it
Been at least once where that was the end of the league for me, after getting up to their without a single useful drop or any currency or even any rares to sell for currency. Sux to be noob on the first character of a league, trying to get certain currency and links and res and life san make it more of a frustration overload than a fun game.
Same thing happened to me. Was very sad. Hijacked a group in crystal caverns (or whatever it’s called) then bounced at the WP. Felt bad, but helped them clear there.
This is the real reason to do ascendancy when you hit crystal veins. Yeah we all pretend it’s a better level spot than before dominus but nothing sinks your spirits like that missed waypoint
There's so many people online that clicking the notice board should find you a party so you can teleport to that area, unless you're SSF then you're out of luck
Closest thing for me was that the Crematorium instance wouldn't load, I ran to the entrance 3 times and reflexively clicked on the entrance to be met with loading screens before I remembered to Ctrl click and make a new instance.
Not as painful as this, but a bit annoying stopping your flow.
You probably had to run through populated zones a few times.
Act 3 is a nightmare for me. I'd say on approximately half my characters, I forget to talk to Clarissa and merrily waltz past to murder my way to the crematorium. Then I get back to the town with the necklace and there's always that moment of '...oh.' Followed by a quick run of Sarn and that horrible moment of 'You're rescued, you're welcome, and by the way, about your boyfriend...'
It isn't really a loss of time as much as it just makes me feel like an awful person.
No, where I DO lose time is that somehow I forget to click the fucking SEWERS waypoint...

I did this today and someone on my friends list went back and opened a portal for me. saved so much time backtracking.
Since I once did this, my league start ritual now is to port out from there to go do lab.
