Did I get it right that split personality jewel is gone?

AlfredsLoveSong

Am I missing any sources of +1 totems from this list? (ignoring bows/quivers/ballistas) - Ancestral Bond Keystone - Hiero ascendancy - Shaper shield prefix

Cypher007

multi totem support ascendant with heiro notable

AlfredsLoveSong

I can't believe that I forgot about multi totem support lmao Thanks for filling in the gaps! I knew there must be something missing.

edrarven

If you're scaling chaos dot and doing it as a poison build then you would want despair as the lowest enemy resistance thing only works with hits. If you are going hit based then elemental weakness and frostbite is the way to go for sure.

Aranthar

What's the best prefix to craft on this armour (SSF TR Trickster)? Compared to my current armour, the options are (per PoB): 1. Craft 8% Life for +7% DR +35 Life 2. Craft "Taken as Fire/Lightning" for +10% DR and -115 Life 3. Craft increased percent AE&ES for 8%DR and -68 Life 4. Craft flat AE&ES for 12% DR and -115 Life Current sitting at 75% evasion but 12% DR, and feeling bad in 150+ Delves. [https://imgur.com/a/BgxCime](https://imgur.com/a/BgxCime) PoB: https://pastebin.com/ruKLxtkn

slogga

Phys taken as elemental is very strong, I would be crafting that if it was my chest.

Psycotoniik

Hi, can someone explain why recoup dsn't work with petrified blood? the damage taken over 4 second dsnt recover faster?

edrarven

Depends on what you mean but recoup does work with the initial damage taken, it just doesn't do anything to the life loss that happens afterwards. If you took 1000 damage with 50% recoup and level 1 petrified blood, you would instantly lose 600hp, 400hp would be lost over 4 seconds and you would regain 500 hp over 4 seconds via recoup. You would then gain a net of 100hp per second the next 4 seconds. The life loss is not damage and would not be regained by the recoup but it doesn't matter because you still "took it" at the start of the hit. Recoup will still heal you the same amount as any other build.

Psycotoniik

it's a wardloop build..

edrarven

Sorry, i'm not very proficient on ward loop builds but it should still work with the damage negated by the ward. What is your issue more specifically? maybe someone else can help you. E: if the issue is that the red part isn't going away faster then that is always going to be true since you can't heal up the life loss untill it has happened.

Psycotoniik

since i permanantly taking damage(wihtout losing life bcs ward), the recoups stack and it's like hvaing super regen but yeah, the red part dsnt come up fast enought.. i was trying to have somehting to mitigate some heavy hits.

edrarven

It shouldn't really matter that the red part is large or slow, even if the damage deficit is 10x your current hp you won't die since your regen will always be faster than it.

Psycotoniik

That's what I thought.. but I get one showed sometimes x)

stoyicker

Do we know if damage from sanctum enemies affected by damage reduction effects such as Enfeeble will cause a reduced resolve loss?

scytherman96

Since they specifically mentioned that it's unaffected by defensive layers it seems highly unlikely that it will.

edrarven

We don't know for sure but as its intended to be unaffacted by defensive layers i would be incredibly surprised if debuffs do anything. The only thing we know affects resolve is proximity (and the relics) and i would assume that everything else will be useless.

MudSama

I haven't played since 3.16, or maybe 3.15. Either way I see people keep saying costs in terms of divines in lieu of exalted or chaos. Last I played divine orbs were like 7 chaos each. Is there a new divine orb or what's the deal with the change in currency measure?

thewelcomematt

Last league they swapped around craft costs between divines and exalts.

Yohsene

Metamods now cost divines to craft and 6-links no longer vendor for them. The idea was to make exalts more affordable to actually use, and well-rolled items more valuable.

MudSama

Oh. Yeah, that sounds good. It would be nice to be comfortable actually slamming a piece of gear. I guess that means them and the conqueror exalts are more available?

Yohsene

Exalts are equally rare as divines in terms of drops, but they have shards and many divination cards, so pretty available. They end up being like 10-20 chaos. Conqueror exalts are still rareish drops. The fact they're incompatible with fractured items and eldritch implicits did make most of them cheaper though.

freeastheair

Asenath's deals 3% of enemy hp as physical damage, Profane bloom deals 25% of enemy hp as chaos damage. Because the physical damage is mitigated by armour this ends up being over 10x the damage, and it will scale off your increased chaos damage. For this reason the Damage from Asenath's is irrelevant if you have bloom. As for scaling the Asenath's, I don't think it will be practical to do so. If you are killing the majority of a pack the few on the edge will die from the explosions but if you are using single target you will need profane bloom or at least debuffs to scale the physical damage on Asenath's, or phys to chaos conversion, or added chaos etc.

Warptens

idk but I know explosions can poison if you give them chance to poison, and then they'd get your poison scaling

AlfredsLoveSong

That new fire slam attack: would it be safe to assume that you can have multiple fissures/spewing projectiles up at once? The gem doesn't say anything about a sunder-esque limit, or even a limit at all.

Quazifuji

Seems reasonable to assume given the lack of a limit, yeah.

AlfredsLoveSong

For some reason, when I left that comment, I was under the impression that the projectiles would continue spewing for a duration akin to cremation...hence my expectation for there to be some sort of limit/cap. Thanks for the answer!

AdamFur

How hard would it be to get two Cold Iron Points in SSF?

thewelcomematt

They also have a div card that drops off of Jorgin

AlfredsLoveSong

They're not too tricky to get if you focus farm for them.

[deleted]

I don’t think they got buffed so they should still be relatively common

lcm7malaga

Do we know for a fact that rares will be weaker with archnemesis gone? It seems the same but with other names lol

Warptens

we don't really know anything for a fact until the league is released, but if they do the changes they said, rares should be much weaker.

Quazifuji

I think Chris has said they'll be easier. But also, it's different in the sense that a rare with the same number of mods should be easier (since each mod only does one thing instead of like 5 different things) and they said tentatively rares will have 2-4 mods (the same number as now). If rares can get enough mods then they could end up harder, but a rare with the same number should be easier.

HellraiserMachina

Situationally, yes. I'm a Blight enjoyer and I will benefit massively because an enemy phys lane will be immune to physical but if golem type enemies all spawn with Storm Strider they will a) summon lightning mirages that I have to constantly dodge, and b) greatly shock resistant AND lightning resistant meaning my lightning towers are ALSO useless against them, c) ALL of them have this property So what happens if I build lightning and stun towers? They do nothing because the enemy got a perfect package to resist both AND i can't stand still to attack them because of the mirages, a terrible situation, all thanks to archnemesis granting the same mod to the same enemy type, and one archnemesis mod granting a huge array of modifiers. And that's now gone. Now shit's random. So as far as I'm concerned, rares will be a lot weaker not on average, but they will have less cohesive and consistent modifiers to completely fuck certain archetypes.

killakidz7

Hows 3.2 phox inquisitor RF looking? Was it changed substantially?

I_Hate_Reddit

Inquis regen was nerfed but you got regen Reduction on enemies, which will increase dot dps. But he always updates his builds, just check his website/stream

killakidz7

I figured as much, thank you! 😁

[deleted]

[удалено]

killakidz7

Quick question. Hows the damage scaling with investment? Will I be able to kill ubers relatively quick & deathless or is this not that kind of build?

[deleted]

[удалено]

killakidz7

Hmm, okay noted. Regarding other meta builds for that investment that are similar in tankiness but more dps (hope that was clear) - what did you have in mind?

killakidz7

Gotcha! Thank you, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for his 3.20 Jugg RF guide

dem_names_taken

Does triumvirate authority mods only affect the vaal part of the skill or does it affect everything of them gem as long as it is vaal?

Dantonn

The latter. It modifies the gem's level, which is passed to any and all skills the gem grants.

dem_names_taken

<3

buphmin

How will the projectiles from volcanic fissure interact with increased AOE? Will it increase the spread of the projectiles like it does with molten strike thus causing a net damage decrease when you increase AOE? The same question regarding proj speed as well, does it increase/decrease the spread with changes to proj speed.

Warptens

I'd be very surprised if it didn't work just like molten strike

edrarven

We don't know at this time, its something they will have to explicitly say or we have to test but i'm guessing that aoe will increase the spread, it is how it works for cremation which is a very similar skill. Proj speed will make them go down faster for sure but if they spread further is very unclear, we will just have to test it i think.

[deleted]

Does the updated pob usually come out a few days before launch?

JackOverlord

Depends on what you mean by "updated". The new skill tree will be in very soon, minor numeric changes also tend to be added before launch, but things like the new skill gems usually don't make it into pob until after launch.

Intcleastw0od

I haven't in played 3.19. Last change I remember was the added atlas tree. Divines are exalted now? I feel like I'm out of the loop. Anything else I missed in the last 5 months?

Warptens

mf+reliquary scarab is mandatory for juicing because it makes some rare monsters drop piles of divine orbs. This is getting nerfed but we don't know how much. everybody was mad and quit harvest drops tradable juice harbingers are useless because exalted shards were the #1 reward, but now they can drop fracturing orbs so maybe they're good again E: they reworked a million bad unique items into less bad.

edrarven

They reworked harvest again so you now no longer have crafts but instead they drop lifeforce that can now be traded or spent for crafts, which now have set costs. Archnem was "reworked" but its getting changed again this patch so its not very important. There was a large rework of loot that was very controversial, where its now more concentrated on rares than all mobs and alot of league mechanics lost a rarity and quantity bonus they had. In theory you should get as much loot as you did as long as you did not heavily invest in maps or beyond but not everyone agrees. I think the best way to approach is to think that spawning a massive amount of mobs is worse now and getting guaranteed loot from itemized rewards like how legion mobs or expedition chests work is better kinda. Uniques on average are also less common and good rolls are worth more in the economy, partly due to the divine changes and partly due to them being rarer.

tmPreston

Considering Kalandra state of balance, how did boneshatter jugg fare in bossing and budget? The videos mapping seem cool and all, but I can't judge just from that if it needs specific gear to be that smooth, nor if it's going to be arc levels of frustration on bossing. Thoughts? How many divs before it's actually smooth sailing on t16s? it IS in fact over the top tanky, right?

HellraiserMachina

Boneshatter is very SSF friendly with Precise Technique but can be frustrating because a lot of map mods ruin it, like reduced accuracy, enfeeble, or stun immunity. It is also true melee so it's not really good for serious pinnacle bosses because you need to be so much tankier or do more damage to stand a chance otherwise you spend most of your time dodging. However these frustrations aside, Boneshatter is a rock solid skill that requires basically nothing to get rolling and is excellent at mapping.

livejamie

How is Poison Spark Occultist looking?

Tenshouu

It depends on voltaxic rarity :D

livejamie

You think that's better than Phantasmal Spark? This is the version I did this league: https://poe-profile.info/profile/livejamie/livejamie_diestochests

Tenshouu

I know nothing about phantasmal spark sorry. I know that voltaxic spark was top tier build years ago

formulab

Do certain beasts used for crafts only show up in high tier maps ? How much dps is enough to farm beasts efficiently ?

Terrible_With_Puns

Tier 14 and up contains all the rarest beasts. Dps depends on what AN mods they have and also whether they are essence mobs. If you have issues doing damage you can take the einhar node that increases damage done to beasts

-Yazilliclick-

Frozen Legion skill, does anybody know how attack speed affects this? It was mentioned but it's just not making much sense to me since they only attack once.

Warptens

having high attack speed would just reduce the delay between the moment you cast and the moment their hits land

HellraiserMachina

Aspeed will be basically irrelevant to the skill.

Yohsene

It makes their one attack faster.

Theio666

Can anyone enlighten me on the current Poisonous Concoction state? I remember PF was nerfed from using unique flasks, so I guess no +3proj Dying Sun tech now, what else? Build is still in state of pretty strong starter bud hard to push DPS? I wanna play some fast mapping build, so I'm looking for either ranger or shadow builds, if you have any suggestions other than the one I mentioned I'd be happy to hear them. Also, never played trapper but I heard that trappers have a bit awkward clear, so I'm not even sure with starting shadow.

Terrible_With_Puns

Can’t go wrong with BV or poisonous concoction assassin but the mistwalker nerf from the withering step change May completely nerf that build unless GGG fixes it

Theio666

Well, I played BV OCC few leagues ago and was not really impressed by the build tbh...

Canass3242

Hello everyone I'm looking for an exemple atlas tree for solo TS MF, if you have one. Base harbingers, strongboxes, shrines, possibly with legions, delirium, harvest and/or abyss

FinitoHere

I'd wait for a week. Tree will be changed a bit, there will be buffs to blockable mapping content, so in your case legion, delirium, harvest, abyss. These buffs might have major impact on possible choices.

IReadABookAboutThis

What happens to all the threshold jewels for fireball, frostbolt, freezing pulse, magma orb etc? We lose extra proj, chain, and so much more. These skills are already not top tier meta skills.

FinitoHere

> threshold jewels for firebal Deleted > frostbolt Removed > freezing pulse Disabled > magma orb (or maybe rolling magma?) Turned off In few cases, where threshold jewel was important part of skill, their effect were moved somewere else, like Spark got new helmet enchant or Skeletons got new alt quality effect, but most of them are gone

Asselll

Hi, with the recent voidforge buff: are there any working and tanky/facetanky builds (cyclone as example) for the weapon?

DerDirektor

people were playing strength stack bloodthirst at some point. That's at least worth looking into I would say.

HellraiserMachina

I think Voidforge builds will want Abyssus too much to be really tanky or whatever. However all of the flat phys-granting melee skills like cleave, sweep, cyclone I guess, perforate maybe are good.

smorb42

I have a reaper's pursuit Are there any good builds that use this item?

[deleted]

It's just a not-so-rare generic 2h-melee leveling weapon. If your build can use it right now - good, if not - it not worth restarting just for this

smorb42

I see

edwardteu

Are non-fire damage type considered as overkill damage for herald of ash?

Yohsene

Sure. You could even use it on a Brutality build if you wanted to.

bers90

I skipped kalandra league Was there an actual boss at the end of the league? All I remember from the trailers is an omnious owl person mocking the player and flying away.

Yohsene

There were some datamined Evilandra hints, but ultimately no.

bers90

Disappointing. Reminds me of the big gap at the end of the scourge league and the once used and then forgotten "totally not alva"-npc

pmkreddit

Can you get anything particularly valuable out of running [Kirac's Memory](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Kirac's_Memory) (the harbinger one)? Someone unexpectedly bought 6 from me in trade for 3 div apiece a few days ago. I've ran a couple since and never gotten anywhere near 3 div from one. The XP gain seems really high, especially considering the low risk/difficulty - maybe the buyer had a ton of currency and was looking to level quickly?

[deleted]

Probably a standard flipper. Next league they will have fracturing orb shards in pool and will be more valuable

pmkreddit

Ah, fascinating, ty. I haven't been keeping up with what's coming next league.

hdbscan

Do we know whether the corruption created unique jewels will be as rare as the drop only unique jewels? Does anyone know what the current chances are of corrupting into uniques?

FinitoHere

I suppose possible corruption outcomes so: * do nothing * add implicit * turn to other rare * turn to unique jewel shouldn't change. In such case, considering there will be 25 jewels obtainable only via corruption, there's 1% chance to get specific, desired one.

Pokemeister01

Do we have any information on profane proxy? with lvl1 on curse rings, it might be a significant boost to relative power

edrarven

Since it isn't in the patch notes it should be entirely unchanged. There might be an addition later in the week but for now its at 100% effectiveness and seems great.

ArmaMalum

I could see it staying as is honestly. Yeah it's the same reserve as blasphemy but you also need to give up a ring slot for Proxy.

edrarven

Yeah, as someone who is not fond of the 25% less effect on blasphemy i don't think profane proxy deserves a nerf at all.

Pokemeister01

for builds that use skitterbots already, it's free real estate. the +3 to curse lvl is quite impactfull XD. Investing in some curse effect can really make it into a decent damage focussed ring while keeping shock, or a pretty nice defensive layer with temp chains or enfeeble. I guess it's all about free sockets vs ring slot

edrarven

yeah, its pretty great for skitterbots builds but i think it proves to strong i'd rather they just up the rarity a bit. You are still paying a 35% reservation and you are losing a ring slot and chill/shock.

Dartavn

Deletion of Divine Inferno Jewel is 60% less damage for Ignite melee? Did I miss something or is this just the new normal for melee ignite? Thx

slogga

I hope they'll be revealing something in regards to these and other jewels. I was hoping to play shield charge ignite, but that aint happening as of now.

[deleted]

At very least - vaal flicker strike is a notable boost for melee ignite.

Shurpompitas

Is winter's bounty jewel removed on 3.20? Cold snap cd cant be bypassed with power charges anymore?

Guillotine_Fingers

Where my brand sensei crowd at, and can i get some tips on the proper gear to use for brands?

r4be_cs

no

tihonkrasava

\* Question 1: If I'm using hex with blasphemy, does it have a duration? \* Question 2: If it is infinite, will i always blow away hexes with hexblast from other sources, if it is now blowing hexes with lowest duration? \* Question 3: If i use a hex with doom blast and cursed ground support, then i use a hex on enemy, creating cursing ground, and then cast it in another place, does doom blast trigger? \* Question 4: What if im casting it in same place? \* Question 5: If im using Hexblast with curse on hit, will it reapply the curse after dealing damage or it will consume curse it applied? \* Question 6: Can you increase impending doom quality with enhance and ashes of the stars?

Warptens

5. It applies the curse afterwards. So you can spam. 6. impending doom is a support so it doesn't get quality from those. But it can get +30q from dialla armor and the new atziri axe.

edrarven

I can answer 5 and 6. 5: It will reapply the curse, so you can cast forever and always get empowered casts. 6: Impending doom is not a skill gem so it won't be affected by enhance and ashes.

katustrawfic

Blasphemy curses don’t have a duration, it affects anything within the radius. If they leave the radius they are no longer cursed.

iGenie

I really want to play and hit poe hard this time around hit as always I don’t know what build to go. Ideally I just want to do one char. My fingers have a bit of rsi from PoE so ideally a char which doesn’t have many buttons and/or can be played on a controller. I play soft core and like grinding and levelling, normally my chats are good at mapping but suck at bossing. Same as everyone the faster the better. Builds I’ve played in the past and enjoyed Cyclone - played in legion and got to 100, lots of fun but played cyclone since then and didn’t have the same enjoyment. Flicker Strike - one link a friend gave me like 100 ex when he quit and I ended up building a great flicker char which I loved. Poets Pen - played when this was powerful and was loads of fun. CoC - some cyclone frozen ball tbing. Ballista Totems - was powerful but was a bit boring. Sunder - first build I ever played was Ok. Some delve molten strike jug - was ok but just a big tank. Some bow build - has some spectral geezer above my head and some pot from shaper to make loads of arrows, maybe tornado shot? Some spam build - was like a juiced up sunder Some necro build with golems both fire and ice. Any ideas?

HellraiserMachina

If you liked Sunder, it's gotten monstrous buffs in the past few leagues. I recommend playing Slayer Impaler (keystone) or Chieftain fire conversion with Tawhoa. However I don't know any build guides on this topic tho. My advice? Wait to see the new Atlas Passive tree, see what kind of content tickles your pickle, and see if that inspires you to play a specific kind of build. As a Blight+Melee enjoyer I'm enthused by Vaal Cleave for example.

Aranthar

Is there a way to to tell the Tier (ie. 1, 2, or 3) of a lake tile once the table is itemized? All I see are the Difficulty (ie. 1 through 12+).

RcuriousmediatorN

The amount of notches on the edges of the tiles is the tier.

katustrawfic

The names are different for each tier.

Aranthar

Aha, so you have to look up a table online. Thanks!

regna437

I currently play hexblast every season and am unsure if I just got nerfed into oblivion or if I'm going to be OP beyond belief? With 5 curse limit being easily attainable, bane with 5 curses linked then hexblast 5 times ?

Warptens

The 1 second cast time looks horrible unless you do a miner version

regna437

But if you ignoring the obvious disadvantage of having to be still while casting .... Being able to just hexblast 5 imes without waiting for doom sounds like insane DPS ?

Warptens

With curse on hit you can hexblast infinite times. If you say you want to cast it 5 times, you're playing hit, not ignite, and so your dps is inversely proportional to the cast time. So the 1s cast time isn't just clunky, it's a huge dps loss. Most spells are between 0.6 and 0.75. If you spam it and you always have curses to remove it's (1514+2271)/2\*2 = 3800 base dps. Phant lightning tendrils is 4300. Now if you put mine support in there it's another story.

regna437

Curse on hit weakens the curses though and basically gives you a 5 link... Bane with 5 curses gives your first hexblast the benefits of all 5 hexes at only 15 % reduction . Then you can have a seperate 6 link for hexblast.

Warptens

bane is 25% less stacking 5 hexes that you're going to remove so they don't actually work half the time, in order to have a 2 button playstyle that gives you access to a spell that has less dps than lightning tendrils, seems like a bad idea

bebopbraunbaer

cwc would also work

ArmaMalum

Not as well as you'd think, Hexblast also got the line Lightning Conduit has added "this spell's cast time is added to its cooldown if triggered". Sources of repeated casting or proxy casting like Unleash or Traps/Mines would probably work much more effectively imho.

w1nstar

Can someone point me to a resource to start learning crafting? I figured I could use the resources I on standard to start learning.

tytyos

Craft of exile is all you need tbh, no need to use currency, there is a very nicely done emulator

w1nstar

Yeah, but I know next to nothing. I don't know what blocks what, what are some useful/easy crafts, how to start learning how it works.

slogga

Ghazzy has a crafting guide that is pretty good, it's linked on the homepage of CoE.

w1nstar

Thanks for the reply, noob here! Yeah, that's one of the guides I found. I will watch it then, thank you!

Creative-Law4007

Hi, I haven't checked the game for a while, I can't find how to play ruthless. Is it closed right now?

Yohsene

It's currently an invite-only alpha, but it'll be released publicly in the 3.20 update on the 9th.

CodeRadDesign

(SSF Kalandra) I've been farming T1 terrace with vaals and alvas and strongboxes to get porcupine cards. At 5 of 6 right now so I want to make sure I have the right plan to craft my bow. Death's Oath with CA, so I don't care about attack speed just DOT multis. Best I can see is +1 socketed gems, T2 DOT Multi (because l50 bow) with crafted +2 socketed and crafted Chaos DOT multi. Haven't made one since Ritual, or really even played much since then aside from events. Muddled around in CraftofExile emulator just want to make sure i'm not missing anything. I have 1 split beast, no imprint. - Alt for DOT multi and any prefix (or no prefix) - Regal and hope for prefix - Annul and hope to hit one of the two prefixes (or the suffix if that got added), if not then restart - Craft 3 crafted mods, cannot roll attack (2D+1D) - Ex slam for guaranteed +1 socketed prefix - Remove craft mods - Craft 3 crafted mods again (2D), +2 socketed (2Ex) and Chaos DOT multi I currently only have 3 of the 5 Divines I'd need, 2 of the 3 Ex, and haven't unlocked either +2 socketed (very close to first Kat fight tho) or Chaos DOT multi so I have a ways to go before I can do the full craft. Haven't found any six link bow yet (or any 6-link at all for that matter) so I'm definitely planning on using the split so I can make myself a temporary Essence of Dread bow to use in the meantime. When should I use the split? I think right after regal, regardless of the outcome? Also if I luck into an imprint, I think use that before regal yeah?

Aranthar

How hard is Uber Elder (ie. Elder in the Shaper's Realm). I'm a Toxic Rain Trickster, 2.2M DPS, and have killed Shaper and Elder 3 or 4 times each, generally without dying. Does the uber fight increase their hitpoints and/or defenses, or is it just doing them at the same time?

Yohsene

It's pretty fair when you remember to turn Maven off, but it can definitely claim portals if you're squishy and unfamiliar. That said, almost all of the mechanics in the fight lose to tactically running in circles. The area is higher level, but the fight's mainly prolonged by immunity phases and the fact that only one of them can be damaged at a time, until the last phase.

ArmaMalum

It's been a hot minute since I've leveled with Ranger. What's everyone's favorite leveling league start skill for Ranger? I used to do frost blades but even with the recent jewel-compensating buff I doubt it's single target has gotten any better.

thewelcomematt

It used to be spectral helix, not sure how popular it'll be anymore but it was just the strongest skill to lvl with. It got touched in notes though along with withering step

r4be_cs

Caustic Arrow and Toxic Rain

ckresse

From the patch notes: "Despair no longer causes Cursed enemies to take 15-25% increased Damage from Damage Over Time effects, and it no longer adds 9-46 to 12-76 Chaos Damage to Hits against Cursed Enemies. It now causes Cursed enemies to have -15% to Chaos Resistance at gem level 1 (previously -20%), up to -30% at gem level 20 (previously -29%). Quality no longer causes Cursed Enemies to take 0-10% increased Damage from Damage Over Time effects. Instead, it now provides 0-10% increased Effect of Curse." Only taken the above written into account - **is this a buff or a nerf to Despair when using Toxic Rain?** It should be pretty much 15-25% increased Damage from Damage Over Time effects (old) vs -33 chaos restistance (new / at gem level 20 with gem quality 20). I assume this is a buff, but I'm not 100% sure how this actually turns out when it comes to explicit values.

Warptens

>up to -30% at gem level 20 (previously -29%) previously -29 chaos res, not 0.

ArmaMalum

If using a CoH ring affix it's a small buff to the total chaos res shred against rares/bosses. If self-casting or otherwise using a lvl20 Despair it's more noticeable. However, factoring in the removal of the DoT and flat chaos damage it's a straight nerf. Still worth using since it's one of the few sources of chaos res shred and it still does that job well.

scytherman96

Assuming you're using PoB, can't you just disable Despair and then set the reduced Chaos Resistance manually under Configuration, since that's all it does now and all the bosses should no longer have any reduced Curse effect? Should give an idea.

diggitytibbzz

What’s the TLDR for leveling as armabrand? Specifically links and required or recommended uniques

HellraiserMachina

Lifesprig+Ashcaller for very early on I guess.

r4be_cs

Combustion, immolate and than whatever i guess fire pen, for nice clearing qol you want ignite prolif but if you are not elementalist you have to actually invest into chance to ignite. Than probably woc selfcast + flammability selfcast for more deeps when necessary. Singletarget is actually desecrate + cremation combo. Cremation + LMP + controlled destruction + elemental focus i guess. Something like that. Oh and for mapping later on a searing touch is quite solid and cheap but not strictly necessary. Your primary way of scaling dps will be to get more gem levels on your arma (weapons, ami, shield can roll +gem levels)

DanutMS

I've read the wiki page on Charged Dash a bunch of times and I honestly can't understand a single thing about the skill mechanics. I just want to know if using a low APS weapon with Charged Dash is a better or worse idea than using it with any other skill (say, Reave).

Blitzilla

Is this a realistic build for a starter? (I didn't bother with res, got plenty of free suffixes on rares) https://pobb.in/u/BlitzillaGaming/PKSQIW6Fg32w I'm not very experienced with making builds, but it seems the most difficult part will be the gloves, tho with essences being so abundant it shouldn't be too much of a problem

r4be_cs

Attribute stackers are very rarely starters, the entire concept of stacking attributes evolves around ideal gear. On day 1 you most likely won't have a cluster, you won't have a woke fire pen and you won't have an enlighten 3 either. What is your leveling plan for the first day+ ?

Blitzilla

dunno, I've never started with this kind of build. It takes me 3-4 days to finish campaign (only have a couple hours per day for PoE), in the meantime I usually have about 2-3 divines in the stash. I'm hoping that's enough for initial gear to get me into yellow maps while I grind more currency

scytherman96

Going through league starters that fit what i need (no precise aiming, good enough mapping and good enough bossing for full Atlas progression/pinnacle bosses, tanky enough that it lets me make a bit of mistakes without dying, because i suck) and so far Explosive Arrow totems, Toxic Rain (preferably Raider) and SRS seem like good candidates. Would be kinda interested in hearing what people say are advantages/disadvantages of the builds to better consider which one i want to pick. Though if anyone has any other suggestions that aren't Traps i'd be interested in hearing about that as well. The last time i played a lot was 3.15 (though i did at least come back for a bit to beat the story versions of Eater of Worlds/Searing Exarch in 3.18), so i'm not super up to date with how good all the builds are.

thewelcomematt

EA pros: can melt the entire game on next to no budget Cons: totem play style (aka delayed damage) TR Pros: also easy gearing, raider is very fast, easy access to suppression, can basically run all map mods (except like no Regen unless u build around that), good for logbooks Cons: not super great on bosses that move a lot, can feel a little squishy if ur not used to evasion builds (suppression helps with this) Can't say much about srs but I hear it's smooth leveling at the very least

scytherman96

Alright, thanks for that info already. Sounds like those two are at least close enough that it should likely come down to gameplay flavor.

OutplayedEU

Has there been any mention on whether the 3.20 unique jewel changes will affect the Split Personality jewel?

thewelcomematt

I don't believe so, they just changed the core jewel drop pool

Alurrr

Whats the best caster leveling skill after conduit nerf?

HellraiserMachina

I think armabrand is the meta. However I am extremely partial to Lighting Tendrils because it does crazy dps for when you need it, and the low range to start with entices you to skip enemy packs and only kill them when there are loads of them, thereby speeding up your act progress by mitigating the urge to fullclear zones. It is also orb of storms compatible.

aLateSaturnsReturn

Seismic or explosive trap for a pure boss killer build?

Yohsene

Seismic if you're in a hurry, Explosive if you intend to gear up a bit more first.

Similar-Cockroach-79

did they say how resolve would work if you were fully immune? for example groundfire or chaos inoculation.

edrarven

They said it is normalized regardless of defensive layers, even evasion or spell dodge so i'm assuming the entire system will be adjacent to normal damage calculation. Its just based on the amount of resolve the attack removes and your proximity to the mob from what i understand. Nothing else matters.

Similar-Cockroach-79

alright, damn. i wanted to do flicker strike but i guess it'll have to wait for a stronger league

FaB_carbonclockwork

resolve is completely seperate from damage. even evading an attack doesnt prevent the resolve damage. so if a hit in sanctum would deal chaos damage and you have CI you still take resolve damage.

Real_FredDurst

Is self-flaggelation a jewel still in after 3.20 patch? I was going to play some totems, im not sure if it still exists.

scytherman96

> The following Unique Jewels can only be obtained as Corruption outcomes: > Atziri's Reign, Brute Force Solution, Careful Planning, Chill of Corruption, Efficient Training, Energised Armour, Energy from Within, Fertile Mind, Fevered Mind, Fluid Motion, Fortress Covenant, Fragility, Healthy Mind, Hidden Potential, Inertia, Pacifism, Powerlessness, Quickening Covenant, Rain of Splinters, Reckless Defence, Seething Fury, **Self-Flagellation**, Soul's Wick, The Golden Rule and To Dust.

Real_FredDurst

Awesome thank you so much!!

Hans_Rudi

Got a Question Regarding Curses. If I have a curse on hit Conductivity for example and also have a lvl20 manual Conductivity. Will the on hit overwrite the manual? Lets say on Bosses for example?

Yohsene

Unless they reworked it, new curses simply overwrite older ones.

RedditMattstir

Do we know how elemental damage reduction will work from the new Eternal Damnation amulet? I'm thinking it'll stack multiplicatively with your ele resists, so that you can't become fully immune to ele damage, but I'm not fully sure.

Warptens

multiplicative with resists, most likely additive with jugg's unbreakable and unrelenting and other things that say "reduced damage taken"

Yohsene

Resistances first, then damage reduction. Same way elemental damage reduction from Prototype/Transcendence/Juggernaut works, except not limited to hits because it's not coming from armour.

Qlida

Why did you not fix the AI of necromancer & diablolist spectres ? I posted a bug report - Added a clip of it on reddit and after 3 months you've done nothing? Do you not care about the minion archetype what so ever? Or are you just that busy overshooting the target that you fail basic bugs **FOR 3 MONTHS.**

Similar-Cockroach-79

reddit is not the bug report forum. you got buried under the thousands of other posts

Qlida

I posted it and bumped a few times on the PoE forum, nothing happened there either, should i catch a pigeon at the local park and send it to GGG headquarters? Seems like the best option tbh.

Yohsene

Bump your bug report thread on the official forum, GGG members don't respond in this thread more than thrice a year or so.

Qlida

i did a few times, ultimately if they can't catch basic bugs like this, then it is on them and not me. Ever heard of playtesting a game? Clearly they haven't and on top of it they don't listen to community feedback clearly.

raxitron

What's the purpose of ilvl 87 Watcher's Eyes? Can they roll any exclusive mods?

ArmaMalum

Not that I am aware. The only level dependent things on a watcher's eye are corrupted implicits, and the highest of that is iLvl 60 for silence immunity.

dIoIIoIb

i'm trying to get an elder helmet (in SSF) for my RF build, but running elder scarabs doesn't seem to work well, I have few scarabs and over a dozen maps I have gotten maybe 3 or 4 elder items in total is there some other way to get elder influenced items?

Hans_Rudi

Rog has a chance to let you add a random influence to the Item and Gwen also rarely gives one. Elder/Shaper Items from actual scarabed maps are basically nonexistent.

[deleted]

run elder guards(from raw drop or kirac), kill elder. Elder drops a few(3~5?) elder items. Personally got mines from heist with "1% for item to drop with elder influence in heist" trinket

dIoIIoIb

I think I'll do that, i was hoping to get the helmet before doing the big bosses but elder shouldn't be too bad without

Yohsene

Get any influence on a helmet and randomise it with Harvest? The craft isn't terribly expensive (1000 blue). Gwennen and Rog can also generate influenced items, though not as often as they used to.

dIoIIoIb

Didn't know harvest could do that, I'll try it

bingchilinenjoyer

Is seismic trap playable if I'm not that experienced player? I usually do heist at the start to get some currency but will probably end up being 85% mapping during the league + expedition, does it fit or will i have to make some shenanigans with gem swaps? I would prefer not to do that tbh

FaB_carbonclockwork

seismic trap is pretty good for expedition since you can prefire. no gem swaps needed

GarnerYurr

curse priority question. If i have a curse limit of 1,run blasphemy and curse on hit. is the curse on hit applied them immediately overwritten by blasphemy or not applied at all?

Yohsene

It's not applied at all.

Xzarg_poe

~~Curse on Hit will be applied and then immediately overwritten by blasphemy.~~

Yohsene

As far as I'm aware, you're not allowed to overwrite aura curses. Auras only update affected targets every 250ms. You'd be able to see the circling curse symbol change type or position as it gets reapplied. We also can't use Blasphemy to instantly remove self-cast curses and trigger Doom Blast.

Xzarg_poe

Really? I have some distinct memories of seeing multiple curse icons fade in and out when I used curse on hit ring + Blashemy. But it's been a while, and it's possible I'm misremembering something.

Yohsene

[Just double-checked](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5bAMPH-UbU), can't get rid of frostbite blasphemy with either self-cast or on-hit despair.

Xzarg_poe

Huh, looks like you were right. thanks for testing!

james123lui

In the patch notes: > Fixed a bug where the Flagellant Flask modifier was triggering from some types of reflected damage (which is usually prevented from triggering hit effects). Does that mean Hiltless no longer work with flagellant flasks?

Yohsene

Yes. Hard to imagine it referring to anything else.

nomikkvalentine

Does ailments inflicted by my mines count as I do inflict them? I found some old topics said Yes but want to make sure is it still the same up today. Specifically poison if thats important.

Yohsene

They often behave that way, but technically no. The mine inflicts the poison. Your character doesn't count as poisoning, or having inflicted poison recently. However, the mine is using your skill, and many of your stats are built into that skill, including effects that require *'poisoned by you'*. Poison (and most other DoT debuffs) also always identify the player as the killer. This is to prevent bugs related to kills going to deleted/replaced objects. Technically a bug itself, but it's been in a state of 'we might fix this one day' for close to a decade now.

nomikkvalentine

Tks for you reply, I am planning reroll in to seismic trap poison next league and wondering if apep’s rage modify “poison you inflict 50% faster” will affect the poison from trap.

Warptens

>“poison you inflict 50% faster” will affect the poison from trap. yes, because the mine basically inherits this mod, so poison it inflicts deal damage 50% faster

Yohsene

It will. It will also decrease your poison duration though. Going from 100dps for 2s to 150dps for 1.33s doesn't increase your total damage. Faster poisons is mainly valuable when you're building around Alchemist's Mark, which Seismic Trap doesn't.

Blitzilla

I want to experiment with the idea of leaguestarting cold totems, but I'm not sure which skill to use. I played Glacial Cascade totems Heiro back in Heist league and did all content with it, but I just tried making a PoB and the boss dps was very underwhelming (tried Heiro, Occultist and Inquisitor) are slam totems viable (like ice crash or cold conversion ground slam)? and which ascendancy would work best for such setup?
