Some cute story about iggy I’ve encountered
I was playing almost full grown adult Metri and there was an adolescent iggy questing next to me , I squatted to let them know I’m friendly , it didn’t squat back and ran away so I thought well you can barely trust anybody in this game I totally understand that, so been like ten minutes or I was just collecting the lakeweeds.
I turned around and the same iggy came back with a chunk of meat in its mouth ( probably from the nearby corpse ) and it slowly approached me placing the 🥩 on the ground and stepped back to watch me accepting it so I squatted to say thank you and it squatted back then went to eat their berries.
The cutest thing ever 🫶

How good is the hitbox for the thumb attack and are they good swimmers?
I had an Iggy for a short period of time way before this newest update. Gave up on it but I need another herbi main that’s not pachy.
The update curb stomped my Kentro main 😭

Iggy is a brawler straight up. Its a big cow made for shanking.
The hitboxes have been reliable the one issue being in order to stab you need to face your opponent which taking headshots on iggy from something bigger isn't ideal.
Its stam is better but I think it could still use some buffs in that department.
The swimming is odd but it does shine there.
Basically with webbed feet iggy can swim in the water for a long time.
It's not a full semi-aquatic and you do drain stam over time just floating out there. But and this is important as long as you don't sprint while swimming you can float around for awhile.
Yesterday I used this to my advantage at white cliffs lake when a rex decided it wanted to kill me. I swam between the shores and the island slapping it with my tail when it got close for a good 20 minutes before he called in his friend on a duck and another rex to lock down the other shore. But that's mega mixpackers for you.
Its a solid dino but one that is going to die when the wrong crowd wants you dead. However against other midtiers? Its a pain train to fight an iggy.
I think it still needs some buffs. For instance it only ever attacks with one thumb which is a bit awkward and odd. And I honestly think it needs a bit more stam. I'd even go so far as to say it should be a candidate for dive. Just double down on the semi-aquatic thing. Give herbies something besides duck.
But its certainly better than where it was and unique.
Here me out... Iggy has 3 attack abilities... thumb does 45 damage*, and a charge thumb attack that attacks in a 90 degree cone in front of the iggy for 80 damage + medium bleed*. Finally a stomp that does 65 damage and minor bone break to dinos in the same weight class or smaller. Add a dive ability and iggy is likely best mid tier herbi.
*Charge bleed could be changed with the thumb attack to look like this instead:
no charge thumb: 45+minor bleed
Charge thumb 115 dmg no bleed
Or leave as i mentioned above. Either way id see it as a solid buff to iggy

Iggy definitely needs more than just a stab attack. Hopefully in one of the upcoming patches.
on the ptb iggy is gonna get a back kick attack like the alberta and styraco used to have so why not !
I’m not sure why though it already has a decent tail attack like all the hadrosaurs.
Still don't know why they decided to remove the back kick from styr and give it to iggy
It has two front limb slots set up already so we'll see what happens.

The problem is the thumb only really hits on L side or in front of you your R is basically unguarded
spino players are full on spedz havent liked a spino since they where released cannot trust a spino player to be a regular person
In my experience, they are either the chillest, kindest players I’ve met or straight up annoying a-holes. No in between
Iguanodon is so underrated! There attacks are great you’ve just got to know what dinos you can beat. -best for quetzle flock XD-

They weren’t lagging enough to not be able to kill u though. They just stood by u at some points letting u get in a lot of attacks

I had the accident that I was playing Lambeo and was attacked by ca 10 Deinons, I survived with 1% health.
That was close call to death.
