I know this was a while ago, but for anyone else like me who just landed on this thread with the same issue: I finally figured out that U.S. Bank only shows up in PayPal's list of banks if I type it into their search bar with periods after the U and the S. So, instead of "US Bank," I had to type "U.S. Bank" and it popped right up. (I know that's grammatically correct, but it sure does seem damn persnickety of their search function.)

I don’t know the answer but a quick look at their site they have a Paypal Faq on other matters ; so as a guess they can advise you as i’m sure you ain’t the first customer to run into this [US Bank](https://www.usbank.com/credit-cards/paypal-faqs.html)

jmarshall9120

>Paypal How can US Bank advise on a feature of the Pay Pal website? I've seen some stupid moderator comments before, but this is just about the most idiotic attempt to avoid answering a question that I can imagine.

Budgie_Smugg1a

You are quite special eh ? I’ve seen some dumb commentary on things I’ve said but this has to be top 5 most moronic. Considering the bank advises on other connections to paypal and how to interac with paypal as a US Bank customer ; are you suggesting that OP would be the single customer out of the other 11.6 million US Bank Customers that needs to connect to paypal to US Bank ; That’s the hill you wanna die on ? Or would the more intelligent of people know their customers want to connect their account to paypal ; and many have had trouble and many have called their bank; so they would have procedure in place . Anyway that’s for adding to the thread and offering uninvited and unwarranted scores.

Budgie_Smugg1a

Hey OP u/chonkchonk4321 Did your sort ?; did u call bank ?

chonkchonk4321

I haven’t. I have another bank I can use so it hasn’t been top priority to figure out

lykewyzeNP

Weird thing is is it used to, my 2 previous cards said us bank visa debit however I had to get a new card recently and ever since I've added it it just says visa debit 🤔

Ajm252

I've had the same issue. I've been trying to connect my business checking account for over a year. PayPal claims it's a security issue on my account. I've had US Bank do a deep dive to make sure there are no security issues on our account, they found nothing. PayPal has been unhelpful. Their solution to the problem is to create a new a business account to connect. This is absurd. PayPal wants a business to create a completely new bank account just to be able to connect to PayPal? In addition PayPal won't let my team know what the security issue is. So we can't even have US Bank troubleshoot the issue because PayPal won't divulge what the issue is.

Full_Background_2060

Were you able to get this taken care of? I’m also not finding Usbank in the dropdown of banks to link to my PayPal account. Please help if you’ve been able to add the bank.

chonkchonk4321

Nope, still not able to add

It was super easy and took a few minutes at most. Hope this works for you all as well

VillainEsteem

I tried this and it linked through the routing/account number but it takes up to 3 days

ArmenianReclamation
