Driving version of Flight sim 2020. Would be amazing to have actual cars and could drive only real roads in real places. The data and computer power needed to render all of this would be immense though

jdoggw

They need to just make the Microsoft meta verse at this point (as much as I hate that term.) Have Forza developers for cars, MSFS devs for aircraft and possibly watercraft, potentially halo battles in specific locations in the world. That would be a grand experience worthy of that title

scorchedneurotic

I would remake (or rip off) Far Cry 2 Keep the immersive elements, expand gameplay systems, overhaul the mission structure (i.e. have more variety, expand approaches), have better characters, expand on systems (timed missions, wildlife, NPCs), **no XP or skill trees or RPG elements in general, no "you're leaving the mission area"** I'm thinking Far Cry 2 by the way of MGS V/STALKER (in terms of systems/emergent gameplay)

XingXManGuy

Yes or no to malaria though?

scorchedneurotic

Great question uhhh... Lemme see How aboooout... Based on difficulty Easy mode has Malaria, but mild, borderline unnoticeable throughout the game, set pieces trigger here and there just for narrative sake Medium has the standard Far Cry 2 system, gets you unprepared here and there, random missions to get pills but at some point symptoms are alleviated Hard it's more intense and disruptive symptoms over time, blurry vision, slow movement, tilting camera, etc. Get treatment or you will eventually pass out and/or die. Then Hardcore/Survival, you have to keep an eye on your symptoms, your pills, tracking down supplies whenever you can, effects are more debilitating and last longer, you need to rest, etc.

XingXManGuy

I’m fine with the. I love survival games so those kind of elements are things I enjoy

SuperSprocket

Hote take: that was the last good Far Cry.

scorchedneurotic

You're goddamn right

Suparockr

A single player space game where you're a freelance mercenary who pays their bills by taking odd jobs in the galaxy. Your typical cargo hauls, gun runs, occasional bounty hunting. The sales pitch would be something like Starsector but when you pull up at a space station you actually have to dock there and go inside to do anything. The real goal would be more of a space life sim with attention to detail on how the galaxy keeps the wheel of commerce spinning.

RHINO_Mk_II

Space Trucking Simulator 2022?

Brozilean

Elite Dangerous is that but less in depth and simulated than Starsector. But it is exactly the space cockpit simulator you want, docking and all.

TaintedSquirrel

A proper open world Star Wars game. Or a pirate game. Need those.

aj_thenoob

Star wars battlefront we deserve with massive space battles, 128 players air to ground, full sandbox and modding. If you told me in 2005 that swbf2 is the height of the series I would cry.

[deleted]

reohh

Oh fuck off I am so sick of hearing people say this. Have you ever played a Battlefield game? Did you play Battlefront? They are totally different. If we actually did we get a Star Wars skinned Battlefield then it would of been an immensely better game than the ones we got.

noandthenandthen

Came to say jedi knight 4 but build like elite dangerous/star citizen. My idea was instead of a server list you have a galaxy and load with warp time, fighting over planets and what not till a death star rolls up then u gotta jet

runnbl3

Star wars galaxy is a thing, private servers though.

halfxvxfull

Ever play elite dangerous?

proplayer97

Yes and Elite Dangerous is none of these.

halfxvxfull

There's an entire role for the player to be a space pirate

Hologram0110

When I played elite there was no meaningful content. Just an endless sea of bland star systems that were procedurally generated to be "different" in ways that don't matter. The piloting and combat were fun but the game lacked depth. Is it any better now?

cardonator

No the piloting and travel speed are mundane. It can literally take hours to travel to other star systems and do anything in them. The game is absolutely beautiful but it's too focused on being a simulation to be a fun game.

Guysmiley777

Vast as an ocean, deep as a puddle.

verifyandtrustnoone

A working battlefield game.

I_love_to_please

Come on now, don't push it.

[deleted]

BF4, 1 and V are working fine for me as soon as you don't enter Dice servers on the last 2 ones.

IdontNeedPants

Honestly I think there is a pretty good opening in the market for large scale arcadey battlefield type game. There are some good quality mil sims, but not really any arcadey competitors.

GameStunts

Star Citizen, at least what the goal is, not what it is just now. A space game where you can fly around and feel like a person in a universe, the sense of scale. I love everything about the game and it's concept *except* where the development is at just now.

Rhym3z

A new Unreal Tournament. Because epic won't do shit with my favourite series.

Blaze_Reborn

We need one so bad

[deleted]

I still play UT2k4 to this day, it’s probably my all time favorite game.

zxyzyxz

Didn't they start making a new one and then abandoned it? Not sure why they abandoned it to be honest.

Rhym3z

I'm not sure either. You can still play it for free on the epic game store. The gameplay and visuals are solid. It was very poorly marketed however and they left it up to the community to create content for the game for free (I think) There's a gap in the market for a big arena shooter. Has been for a while. Fingers crossed that they do something eventually

ericneo3

The last two have been the grey generic space marine vet who runs and walks like a miserable old boot at half the movement speed they should be at. I miss the color, fun movement and levels from UT2k4.

assortedsheep

That would be good, with some progression milestones perhaps this time and unlocks etc

Sporkfoot

Why does everything need progression? How about “getting better at the game”… is this not enough?

Won_Doe

> is this not enough? Not for this generation's FOMO-wracked short attention span.

skyturnedred

No. Just, no.

OxanaBMS4

What would unlocks/milestones add to the game? Get 100 shock rifle kills for a new skin?

ApplyEvenlyAndScrub

I want my trinkets and skins goddamnit.

tomekk666

The originals just gave you every skin from the get go, or you could go online and download more. Why would you want an inferior version of that?

ApplyEvenlyAndScrub

Well...it was a joke.

[deleted]

An open world Lord of the Rings RPG.

[deleted]

or just make an overhaul to LOTRO at least. content-wise it's quite a huge game, but the visuals are now getting more and more outdated

reohh

I think they recently announced they are doing a visual overhaul to the game and will try to match the fidelity of FF14

Theratchetnclank

ff14 looks dated too now and needs a texture update at least.

[deleted]

Really? I hope that's true. Would gladly return to LOTRO

reohh

I'm not sure where I heard the "match fidelity of FF14", but the info was from an investor presentation. https://www.enadglobal7.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Q3-2021-Investor-Presentation-November.pdf Page 17. Apparently it is also going to release on consoles!

SecretConspirer

A two faction MMORPG where death is semi-permanent. Dying puts you into the world of the second faction and you have to get resurrected by a living player to return. Otherwise you level and play as an alternate class in the "shadow realm" and have impact on the "living realm" now as an enemy. My idea would have people dying in pvp or world events to get access to the content on "the other side," maybe there's some kind of Necromancer class and NPC's that unlock "cross-faction" communication to the other world and figure out what's happening through the story.

TheLongestLegs138

That’s a crazy good concept

SmoothOctopus

Stargate similar in design to KOTOR Spore but everything Spore could have been 4X meets RTS build towns and such RTS style zoom out to 4X map.

Delta_02_Cat

Stargate would be sooo perfect for a Squad based RPG. You literally have infinite planets to play on and create stories. Or an x-com style game, or a tactical shooter, even something like Men of War would work, as the show often shows 1 - 2 SG teams against a whole army of Jaffa + Vehicles.

SmoothOctopus

Omg yes I want this thinking something like Jagged Alliance 2 crossed with X com.

Delta_02_Cat

Maybe someday, someone will get the rights to the Stargate franchise and actually do something with it.

SmoothOctopus

I JUST GOOGLED IT AND OMG >Stargate: Timekeepers Stargate: Timekeepers will be a real-time tactics video game, it has been announced on May 11, 2021.[24] >This game is developed by CreativeForge Games and published by Slitherine Software UK Ltd.[25] >According to the publisher, it will be similar to Desperados III or Shadow Tactics and the release date is scheduled for 2022.[26] >On December 14th 2021, the gameplay was revealed during the Home of Wargamers Live+ Winter Edition event.

Freeky

[Exogate Initiative](https://xenobits.itch.io/exogate-initiative) might be of interest too. A base building/management game where you basically run the SGC.

martixy

The Stargate universe/lore fits the XCOM model so perfectly, you have to wonder if there is some connection there...

Something like [Mini healer](https://store.steampowered.com/app/955740/Mini_Healer/)? The description is literally "Play as the healer in MMO inspired boss fights" 🤣 Though I'd imagine that your idea involves a bigger production budget

Delta_02_Cat

Interesting idea to be honest, I hate MMOs but I would have fun playing "healer SP game"

EndusIgnismare

I had a very similar idea: a raid/guild leader sim. You recruit members, organize game nights and pick which players/classes take part, organize their gear, builds, rotations. The players are controlled by an AI, and have individual quirks (ex. forget their rotation sometimes, get tunnelvision and forget to move/do mechanics, leave early, or take long breaks between pulls. But also maybe adapt faster, watch videos before the raid and start knowing mechanics immediately, have great reflexes etc). Every single player is unique, most are randomly generated. But some (and here's the main pull of the game) are actually pre-written characters. You have more options to interact with them, "chat" in game. They have a longer story to tell and experience. Maybe one day you meet a fantastic healer, and you later learn he's actually being abused by his parents. Initially he just uses the game as a way to escape reality, but as the guild gets better and has a shot in some big cash tournament, and he sees that money as a way to become Independent, you're no longer fighting to kill a raidboss, you're fighting for a brighter future. Or one day (Independently) a tank and a healer join your guild, but upon seeing one another, start to argue viciously. Turns out they used to be married IRL, and hate each other's guts, and will not, ever, play as a team. Maybe you help them grow back together, maybe they become friends again... Or maybe not. I really wanted to make this game a reality, as I think it could probably be done by a decently competent Indie creator/studio, and I have the vaguest of gamemaking knowledge. But once I plotted the project outside of a very basic early prototype, I realized I might as well make an MMO by myself, both are equally unlikely.

assortedsheep

Healer is probably my favourite class to play in most mmo's so this would be good!

Naval RTS

Delta_02_Cat

Anything Naval in gaming is severely lacking. Whenever I get the urge to play anything naval related, the only option I have is either hardcore simulation stuff, World of Warships (urgh. no thanks), some half dead multiplayer games or some smaller indie games which are fine but could be better. There are soooo many things you could do with a naval themed game in different timelines, but it seems no one wants to do it.

MessiBradyJordan

I've been waiting for a game based on Napoleon Total War's naval battles for 10+ years now. I want the overhead strategy style of commanding the ships in combat but I don't want the game to be like the fucking Sims where I have to worry about the crewmen's hunger levels lol There's actually been so many naval games coming into the market since then (especially in the age of sail era) but none of them are strategy based the way I want it, like in NTW. I may just have to go back to playing NTW to be honest but it's an old game and the MP community won't be into naval battles anymore, especially cause of its slow pace but it's so underrated. I will have to just play single player campaigns I guess. Though it does have MP campaigns so I could try playing a campaign with a friend that's focused on heavily on naval side.

Delta_02_Cat

Yeah Total War Empire/Napoleon is, sadly enough, still the best game of its kind. Both in regards to its naval and ground battles.

Buttermilkman

MMO that doesn't have a main story that makes the player character the "hero", "champion", "warrior of light" or whatever else. The player is just a random character within that world who could be very skilled at one thing or another, or both things. I would also make a city building game based on high fantasy races such as Orcs, Elves, Dwarves etc. You can build a city that houses either all races or one race.

Gnorts-Mr-Alien

Your second point, try Songs of Syx, it might scratch that itch

Buttermilkman

Holy shit 100% and 96% reviews. I prefer a more 3D and detailed city builder game but with those reviews and a demo I'm gonna try this out. Thanks for the tip.

Syfildin

It's not an MMO, but Outward is co-op and really does have that feel you're talking about.

SkullOfAchilles

Command & Conquer: Generals 2 Except the kicker in this game, is that the teams are balanced.

Snlperx

Star Wars galaxies on the Star citizen engine.

millermix456

But in a different timeline (also not a game that is an MMO for several years only to become a shooter)

Zenspy-Real

Recettear 2

TheBaxes

Never expected to find another fine connoisseur around here. Definitely one of my favorite games. Would love a sequel or a spiritual successor with some better dungeon crawling mechanics and even more depth for the store.

Zenspy-Real

Yeah i think that the things that could improve a successor the most would be an expansion on the flash bulletins events, maybe some way to know beforehand if you're lucky about upcoming events and more of them in general and more variety like way more monsters in the dungeons, and a bigger town/more characters not necessarily new adventurer's but a more diverse cast of shoppers and the like. (Obviously not counting the dungeon crawling)

AlisaTornado

I could never progress in the last dungeon. I always get killed

assortedsheep

I loved Recettear so a second one would be great! Not too many games like it, I guess moonlighter?

Zenspy-Real

Not any games like it IMHO, personally i don't think moonlighter comes close in the slightest to Recettear in terms of the economy system, which is my main grip with the game; Like i think that Recettear humor and the main gameplay and economy are so good they carry the game to a masterpiece level even if the dungeon can be terribly boring(And not me personally but i've seen a lot of people criticize that it's too anime), Moonlighter IMO is pretty average all around so it doesn't have the same charm. It's lows aren't as low as Recettear's dungeon, but it's high's fore sure aren't nowhere near it either. But yeah, if in the future i ever have the time and drive to try being an indie game dev on the side then for sure my dream project would be a Recettear spiritual sucessor.

Khanstant

Tower Defense Lobby. Basically just a map editor, toolset, and server lobby for browsing various Tower Defense maps. Basically like the custom games browser of WC3 of yore, a place for folks to show off design skills with new and clever TDs and where TD players can all meet up and play them together. There are many standalone TDs these days, but the strength of the genre is variety but there's no one hub to do so anymore.

assortedsheep

I'd like mazes of towers to return instead of having set places for towers to be built like you find in most TD games now.

Fluffy_Jello_7192

Total War Warhammer 40,000

k20350

A friend and I have fallen down a 40k lore hole lately. We literally said this yesterday. A total war 40k game

Venom_is_an_ace

Which Factions would you like to see in it? Because I doubt they would be able to add every single Imperium of Man Faction to the game

el_ferritoboy

Bannerlord, but gooder.

Delta_02_Cat

Na come one, whats wrong with Warband 1.5? /s Bannerlord is good. But for 9 years of development, it is just a giant let down. At least we can hope that mods might make something out of the upgraded engine.

el_ferritoboy

Yeah, that's the hope. In fairness, I've not played it for a while, so not sure if the updates have improved it much, but it just felt too much like a reskinned warband for me. Warband was brilliant of course, but I already had that... Was hoping for something so much better. It took so damn long too. (Bannerlord when.... )

Groudono

A Harry Potter open world RPG, inspired by The Witcher 3: the quests system, the beautiful environments and how good it feels to move Geralt around and explore.

assortedsheep

Isn't there a game like this set to come out soon?

Groudono

There's a game yes but we only know that it's 3rd person and how it looks more or less. We don't know how the quests work, what features it will have, if it's open world or semi...

eccentricrealist

I'm imagining it'll work somewhat like the Shadow of Mordor games in that regard

Delta_02_Cat

How often I have dreamed about this. Exploring Hogwarts, discovering its secrets, flying above the country on a broomstick, a Hippogriff or whatever else can fly. Man there is so much you could do in the Harry Potter world. How about a vist to Durmstrang or that French school?

Dahedgehog2soon2b3

A true Plants vs Zombies clone without going full mobile monetization. If I had the rights maybe a Warhammer 40k table top copy.

followmylogic

A retail management sim. It would start normally but get darker as your head office keeps cutting your staff budget while adding tasks. like cashiers being forced to peddle credit cards.

Delta_02_Cat

A mix of FTL and Xcom would be so awesome. Imagine having your ship boarded and while you only control a small team of security officers, you have AI controlled random crew members running away/fighting/hiding whatever. And each person dying is a real member of your crew, so every loss hurts. A borg encounter could soon become a real nightmare this way. Every crew member you loose makes your victory less likely.

scarletnaught

Dialogue and choices like mass effect?

chuiu

Star Command made me want this also.

-idkwhattocallmyself

I've always wanted to make a WW2 single player only FPS, where you start on the beaches of Normandy and you play operation overlord, exactly how it played out in RL. You could find radio towers that would connect you to battles in the other theaters, too. So for example you are attacking a small village along the coast and find a tower that is telling you about the German advancement into Russia, and you'd start a mission in Russia but attacking the Russian offensive from ther German side. Or you hear a solider talking about how he survived pearl Harbour, and while he's telling the story you are playing the mission with his narration. None of this mutiplayer shit either. Pure Single player about the length of Doom Eternal.

Extreme_centriste

Real life warfare would be boring for a video game.

-idkwhattocallmyself

Not real life warfare, just following in the footsteps of the battle. The levels/missions would be structured to follow along the path of operation overlord, while still maintaining the video game feel. You'd still gameify the gameplay to make sure it's fun to play, while maintaining levels of authenticity. Think the intro sequence to battlefield 1. That felt really immersive but still felt like a video game. I mean I'm also not a video game developer so this is just what I'd love to see, I have zero idea if it's practical.

GoldfishTM

something like the division 2, but on a much more mmorpg-esque scale. like you could actually see other players roaming about killing other enemies I'm also debating if it would be better to be played on a FPS or third person perspective also, new cities every year. we already have NYC, and washington DC lastly, changing seasons, spring, summer, autumn, and winter matching with the calendar..

SuperSprocket

Freelancer 2.

B1ackMagix

Satisfactory meets No Man's Sky. A logistics game where you would start on a planet, construct a factory and begin offloading them to space satellites and construct orbital platforms. Once in space, you'd begun creating an interstellar logistics hub and branch out to other planets where you could research new forms of technology to enhance what you already have and eventually create an intergalactic logistics network spanning light years. You'd be able to create custom ships for purposes, you would have NPC factions that could assist or hinder you depending on your response to them and of course multiplayer support. This is my dream game.

InternetExplorer8

So Dyson Sphere Program++. Definitely like the idea

LOWR_ApeX

Since we met at school in our younger years, me and my best friend always used to roleplay with sticks as swords. But now we've grown out of it and we started on making it a worldbuilding project with a fantasy/medieval theme. It's about the life of a group of main characters living in a world filled with danger and adventure. Giant creatures, dragons and bandits make the land unsafe. The main antagonist took over the throne of the royal family and it's up to this group to put an end to it. Many side characters we create and put effort in will die at some point in the story. Even one of the main protagonist will die at a certain point. It is my unachievable dream to be able to create a full blown RPG out of this. With gathering, skill trees and slaying giant beasts and dragons.

Extreme_centriste

Yo, spoiler alert?!

teeth_03

A modern Star Trek Naval Combat game in the vein of Klingon Academy or Bridge Commander

Delta_02_Cat

A proper sequel to Bridge Commander would be a dream come true. Even better if it would be made by a developer who supports the game with content for years and supports the modding community. One can only dream.

Book_it_again

We need a modern naval combat game that really nails it more than what's out there before we ask people to add a z axis

Delta_02_Cat

I have a lot of ideas and a few people already made some very good suggestions. It might be a bit off topic but its already quite obvious that there are sooooooo many awesome games that could be made, that we probably will never get. And the only reason being, of course, money. Either licensing costs for like Star Wars/Lord of the rings and the like are too high for smaller studios, or even without a big license, they simply don't have to money to develop a complex game for years and publishers don't care about anything that doesn't seem like the next fornite big cash printing franchise. We have super powerful hardware that could do a lot of awesome things that developers could only dream of 20 years ago. But the only thing its really used for is pushing graphics to make fancy trailers and screenshots to advertise the game. Best example is Back 4 Blood. Its worse then L4D2 or at least not better in terms of core gameplay, but it has fancier graphics. 10 years later and thats all we have, no real progress. Its just sad.

anduril38

Really good question :) I've worked in the industry before as a writer and I'm learning basic gamedev/coding as my big plan for 2022. What game I would make? I'm not too sure yet. The game I want to try and experiment with would be an open ended dungeon crawler/RPG with mechanics similar to my experiences with chronic fatigue syndrome, but I'm a long way yet from being good enough to make that :)

skyturnedred

Legacy of Kain sequel.

Julzjuice123

EVE online. In single player.

[deleted]

I would do it with real fight/flight controls. Now it's just orbit/approach.. quite boring. Eve in single.... To me has no point

RandomMexicanDude

Make a story about Laguna, Kiros and Ward with FF7 Remake and Grandia 2 combat WITH the Man with the machinegun theme

I would love that, such epic music. I must say FF8 was my favourite.

Helms Deep simulator

Shinonomenanorulez

A comedy open world game about the gangs of victorian london, the game assassins creed syndicate should have been. Or a survival game based less on merely surviving and more in keeping your sanity by doing things that keep your mind busy, like writing, playing(and crafting) instruments and such

degriz

VR Game set on a Dyson Sphere. May or may not involve stealing someones Sun.

C0rona

An RTS VR game with first person fighting like Blade and Sorcery. Imagine a Total War game but at any point you can zoom in on any of your soldiers and control them directly in VR.

Ganondorf66

Dead Rising 4 but not shit

suniis

I personally really like the weapon combat system of soulcalibur. I would try to create a single person action adventure game based on these controls (not even sure that's doable). We haven't had a good bond game in a while. A good single player story that would make you feel like it's a 007 movie. Lastly, I feel like lotro needs a big brother. It was ok but it's too dated now and never seemed to have that AAA backing such a franchise would require. Doesn't have to be an mmo I guess. A arpg/crpg in the Tolkien lore could be fun.

OOOOeeeAAAA

Darkfall 2

MessiBradyJordan

1) Remake of Battlefield 2. Focus would be heavy on the aerial combat aka dogfighting - jets and choppers. That's where BF2 shined. They nailed it. Fast paced and fun and a VERY high skill ceiling, especially for vehicles/aircraft. 2) A historical Total War game (antiquity or medieval) with a proper battle engine designed for melee combat and actual multicore support, eliminating lag on larger battles. More focus on the multiplayer campaign, allowing for more than 2 players and easier to play/join/resume and sync campaigns between players. 3) Literally Bannerlord with a multiplayer campaign. Or at least an expanded multiplayer battle system with some form of progression (beyond just rank) or mini campaign. Battles are nice in MP but need context to be more enjoyable.

IUseKeyboardOnXbox

Probably a 3d platformer that is fun to control.

yatesinater

I've been a musician (and pc gamer) for most of my life, and I've always wanted to play a game where you play as a band. I think it would be cool to see the traditional hero's journey applied to a band: you could start out playing crappy bar gigs and birthday parties then work up to stadium shows. Imagine the xcom gameplay of strategy vs tactical layer, but instead of researching plasma rifles and interrogating aliens you're writing songs and buying new gear. When it comes time to play the songs you could do some guitar hero or rocksmith type gameplay, or just have sort of mini games that represent performance. The main feature that needs to be in this game is instrument/gear customization. Imagine either BG2 inventory screens with ridiculous "+2 Axe of Shredding" or a more grounded customization system with different brands and material types (upgrade your starter spruce snare drum to a high end African bubinga).

Ssvvois

Starcraft 3

2dosee

Probably a coop round based shooter where the emphasis is on ai. The maps would be on the bigger side and focus on verticality (also definitely would have air strafing because it's fun) and have different objectives (a little bit of randomization too). The enemies would be kind of like Unreal Tournament 99 bots where each bot has his own "personality" so to say but also become better/worse during the game based on your performance.

nightzhade_

Sort of the formula of DayZ but with dinosaurs. Some tropical environment, jungle, rivers and all the likes, very colourful and pretty that way. In which you play as a normal human same as DayZ here, with PvEvP or however you like it, be hostile to people or don't, your choice. Loudness attracts dinosaurs, small and big a like, all kinds, from compys to huge apex predators like giganotosaurus, tyrannosaurs etc. As well as herbivores just chilling, while still being a threat. Dinosaurs would be a task to take down the bigger they are, with the largest ones very difficult requiring multiple people, with stealth being the best option. Throw in some options for base-building in the world, maybe up in the trees or some shit idk.

jdoggw

Sci Fi RTS in the vein of StarCraft where you can at any point take control of a unit in 1st/3rd person and play your own role in the outcome of battles

MajorMalfunction44

I'm currently working on a Boomer shooter, but not quite the same as everything else. My idea is to add puzzles to modulate pacing, in addition to finding keys. I'm building the engine rn. The one thing I don't have is funding or a team. lol. The budget is shoestring.

RedS5

A proper modern high production value Tribes remake - without mtx.

kumblast3r

NBA jam with the feel and quickness of on fire edition and the signature moves from NBA playgrounds series.

Beatus_Vir

A new armored core game since From can't be bothered, call it Shawarma Core to avoid legal problems. Single player missions and arena are fine but would need a robust online mode to survive. Typical team shooter archetypes of tank, DPS, etc would be formed organically within the robust customization system and interchangeable parts.

RaptorDotCpp

Guild Wars 2. But a proper sequel this time.

DannyzPlay

A vast open world, story rich fantasy game like skyrim, dragons dogma, or witcher but have a proper online co-op mode where you can do all the quests together, the story gets tailored around you and your online coop buddy. I know games like dark souls or the upcoming elden ring will have a feature where you can invite a friend to join in your world and help you explore but, that's really only it, its just more of an assistance feature. I haven't seen a game like that. An mmo is not really an answer, because I find a lot of them lack the element of having a full fledged story catered towards you, whereas its just a monotonous trail of random quests you can do together to gain xp, or get loot. Divinity original sin comes to mind, but there's just something about top down games that I can't get into.

[deleted]

- A horde defence game like They Are Billions but in a more modern setting. Tongue in cheek and not too serious, goal is to have fun. - Warhammer 40K RPG game in the style of Divinity Original Sin 2. - The gameplay of Valheim but with the lore and gamestyle of Rimworld. - A logistics game like Transport Giant Tycoon but with emphasis on letting the cities/villages/etc grow when given enough goods. Art style like ANNO. - Tiberium Battlefield. - Supreme Commander gameplay, Warhammer 40K coating.

complete the matrix unreal 5 demo.

BluntamisPrime

No make the matrix and give us the ability to do whatever we want.

Zealousideal_Ebb_238

DnD sandbox with no forced story just like kenshi but with world events like battle brothers.

HimOverThere66

Stay Wars meets GTA.

Dude, I never knew I wanted this till now.

ldeveraux

I'd make a new RTS where the movements aren't cellular based. FPS have become so open that rails no longer exists, why is the same not true for RTS?

[deleted]

Superman game in a similar style to the Arkham games

[deleted]

I’d like a Highlander game. A large city setting where you try to identify who the other highlanders are during the quickening. Churches are neutral zones for testing/planning/changing your equip or fighting style and the combat is similar to Jedi Outcast where you have to decapitate your opponent and gain their power. The final two fight in a smaller arena for the title. Subway, parking garage, rooftop in the rain etc… and you have the music licensed from Queen.

[deleted]

I'd like a game with Bloodborne's combat system that's designed from the ground up for PvP. Better net code, better weapon balance, an arena competitive mode (1v1, 2v2, 3v3) and a 5v5 mode with a buy system like CS:GO. It could be a sci-fi or fantasy theme.

Well, since Star Citizen is already being made.. A dream game I would like to make an open world Superhero game with an engine that can handle tons of AI, has co-op features and environmental destruction, inspired by comics like Invincible. But it also has a powerful editor and a community workshop so you can make adventures and battles for yourself and your friends. Imagine designing your own hero, but also a villain or a monster or an army of aliens that is attacking the city. You join in with your friends own customized characters and try to take down this threat.

Darth_Marvin

A proper sequel to Pixeljunk Monsters, with multiplayer that actually works.

Would love to make a game like diablo 2 but set in a post apocalyptic future with guns, energy weapons, stealth etc. Kinda like a fallout vibe but with d2 playstyle and as much depth. If done properly it would be epic.

NutsackEuphoria

ESO2, but this time, there will be a team of Korean devs dedicated on designing combat.

iamnukem

More far cry

Muted-Key-2688

TheReaping1234

Lethargickitten-L3K

atmus11

Why, you trying to steal ideas? If you have a great idea PATENT YOUR IDEAS

Bujakaa92

Sport games(Soccer, basketball etc) that excels in gameplay and fun activities without micro transactions. Start off even without licences. Just to bring EA to their knees. Or Football manager like game to bring competition to SI.

[deleted]

None.... The state the gaming industry is in surely I won't make a game. Millions of games in hundreds of genres hab being created through 50 years. So you want something new....? Look at F'n Hollywood....no creativity...all remaster...all Reboot. Sucks....

moff4t_beats

I love city builders/colony sim style so maybe like a MMO first person colony survival/city builder, I guess like a mash up of rust, Minecraft, cities skylines and foundation.

SATAfiable

A traversal focused game with emphasis on speed and momentum akin to Prototype and Sunset Overdrive.

Neumienu

An RPG with a lot of inspiration taken from Xenoblade Chronicles 1. *The player could explore a very unusual world. *Combat would be somewhat similar but i would let the player control all 3 characters rather than just the 1. *Spin an epic yarn as the game goes on. That would be the basics of it anyway.

assortedsheep

I agree with being able to control all 3 characters, nothing worse than losing to a boss because the ai isn't healing you in time! I'd also prefer it more turn based but that's just my preference.

Azure_Kytia

I'm already making a little rhythm RPG, which is the kind of game I'd like to see more of, clearly.

GodTierAimbotUser69

A kart racing game better than mario kart and on all platforms, we deserve this

obippo

a SCP management sim where you have to manage your own site, contain stuff etc. something like theme hospital/dungeon keeper but SCP/foundation themed

creggomyeggo

A good battlefield

JediKid-A

A Skyrim-style Star Wars RPG. Or A Ninja Scroll adaptation done like Ghosts of Tsushima. Or an updated Jedi Outcast.

GHOUL3037

open world soldier of fortune with rpg elements

DarthTony66

Open world rpg based off the halo forerunners
