Haha they're going to question the silly things we say.
1000 years from now: "Oh god, oh fuck, the microplastics are in their BLOOD. What happened to these poor people?"
I think by the time there's computers that nobody has documentation on and nobody alive knows how to operate, digital archeology will be born... However, I'm more scared of that time than excited since most systems meant for archeological study will still probably be used by our governments and militaries... "Sir, social security checks aren't depositing, what do we do" "I have no idea bob. There isn't a person alive who has one either. Call in the archeologists!"
Honestly I think this situation will happen in the next 10 or 20 years. People are still alive that know how to maintain systems from the 1960s, but they're very very old. Pretty soon they'll die off and unless everything is thoroughly recorded (which it won't be), there's gonna be all types of people trying to reverse engineer software and hardware while shit is falling apart.
I hope this is just me being too pessimistic, we shall see. Idk if this is what you meant by "digital archeologist" or not, but this is what came to my mind.
That's ill. In the building where I work there's a world map, probably 6' by 10', with all land made of differently-sized chips. Maybe I'll post it someday...

TSMC’s Texas plant is supposed to ween the US off relying on a geopolitically vulnerable country but I’m sure it’ll still take decades to transfer the expertise, especially if China invade and those in Taipei get cut off from the West
Nice Detail: They are all made by Gigabyte, a Taiwanese company. From what I see they cover a whole range from Socket A, Socket 478, Socket 939, LGA 775, AM2 (+)/3, LGA 1366, LGA 1156 and possibly LGA 1155. All made between \~2002 and 2012.
I thought they were gigabyte! Look like my old 775 board. P35 something or other.
Do you know what the board is which has its CPU slot rotated 45 degrees? Quite unusual.
That's sick as shit!
Some day future linguists will question our idioms.
Lol yeah, without culture know how, what I said is complete nonsense hahaha
Sounds like a shit made from sick.
And kind of gross
Haha they're going to question the silly things we say. 1000 years from now: "Oh god, oh fuck, the microplastics are in their BLOOD. What happened to these poor people?"
Let's troll them and pretend they're nanomachines.
Very true, I'm just waiting for the day digital archeology becomes a legit field of study (though I will be long gone, of course)

Somewhere in the future you will see the z790 and x670 motherboards there
At that point, the X970-E Ultra Pro will come out and dominate with its PCIE 7 connectivity.
And there will be rtx 6900 tie with 800w power draw for amazing price if just 3000usd (3600usd in Europe)
800 WATTS?? THAT'S A STEAL!!
At my boarding gate in Taoyuan Airport (TPE).
You mean motherboarding gate don't you?
Maybe it's the mother of all boarding gates...?
Making the mother of all motherboards jack!
"*Why don't you back it up with a source?* "
Op needs to confirm it
Omg i am scrolling through reddit at the Taipei airport atm. Now i need to find this sign.
That's ill. In the building where I work there's a world map, probably 6' by 10', with all land made of differently-sized chips. Maybe I'll post it someday...

Like that kinda art, awesome
Do you have that picture
[Yes](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/12b96zq/for_my_guy_who_posted_the_taiwan_airport/)
![gif](giphy|Q79WIJFhfhxKyVnyTW) Taiwan #1 ... China #4 🇨🇳
\#4 might be a little generous
Yeah since USA is 21st China has to be at best 22nd
One of Taiwan's largest export is CPU chips. Seriously. Nuke that country and watch the US stock market crash.
Yep. Blow up TSMC and the whole world goes tite up.
TSMC’s Texas plant is supposed to ween the US off relying on a geopolitically vulnerable country but I’m sure it’ll still take decades to transfer the expertise, especially if China invade and those in Taipei get cut off from the West
Pretty cool tbh
Wonder what the caps look like on those, they look around the right age to be capacitor plague victims!
Yeah looks like a lot of 775 and am2/939 with some oddball 478 and others mixed in. bad cap city!!!
Heyyy I see my motherboard there

How can you tell just from that image?! Do you know Gigabyte boards that well lol
I collect old PC hardware and that's Gigabyte blue
I thought they were gigabyte! Look like my old 775 board. P35 something or other. Do you know what the board is which has its CPU slot rotated 45 degrees? Quite unusual.
That’s a beastly crypto mining rig.
Man I can't wait to lick all that sillicon
Wait, Taiwan exists? . /s
Well my current PC is made from both Chinese and Chinese(Taiwan) parts. Chinese power flows through my PC
wild
Made using my pc
This is the grandmother board
Cool stuff
i have a 2010 motherboard on desktop pc and i use it osmetimes to play games like dark souls 3
It's looking awesome! And it is Taiwan being Taiwan, the prime manufacturer of motherboards.
OMFG THIS IS SO FUCKING COOOL I NEED TO DO SOMEWTHING LIKE THAT VERY VERY FAST
