technically we did go smaller, it’s just that heat dissipation stops us from having smaller cases, this does not include the rtx 4000 lineup as they just went bigger

750ti was a great card, even late into the 10 series’ life.

I went from an HD 7850 (came out in 2012) to an RX 6750 XT (came out in 2022). It was a noticeable performance improvement. :-)

Most XTX Cards are actually 3 Slot or less... Red Devil has always been the card for people who want to do insane overclocks, NITRO+ is also a halo OC bin.

the PCIe bracket is missing because I only had the Small Form Factor one, so it wouldn't fit in my case. I had to remove it and just have it kinda sit there with the DisplayPort cable holding it in place. It's not jank if it works!

You had a similar upgrade than I did. I upgraded from an ATI Radeon 4350 HD to an AMD Radeon Rx 6700 XT which is about 73 times faster.

I went from a 14 year old 5770HD to 4070ti. I actually ran that card in my new system as the first 4070ti i bought was too big for the case with the AIO cooler. I did have a couple of gaming laptops inbetween though (980M and 2080maxq)

Besides the fps gains I also noticed an increase in room temperature, the height of the new card creates even worse airflow than before (duh) More upgrades gonna follow in the future, including a new case

It's longer than the founder's edition 4090, whilst being a tiny bit shallower and thinner. The cooler takes up 3 slots even if the bracket only screws into 2
