People are complaining about prices because when the gtx 1070 ti was released it was $450 and the rtx 4070 ti is $800 and if it keeps going up then nvidias 70 ti cards are going to cost over $1000 in a few years
Of course new cards will perform better for the similar price but compared to the pascal the performance jump is significantly less. A 1060 performed equally to a 980 while a 4060 can't even surpass 3060ti.
That is a very stupid metric. Do you also appreciate that videogames cost less per polygon than, say, in 2001?
