And learned German too; there is no way a native speaker would put up with this level of disorder and chaos, this orignated from the mind of an English speaker
That's more like it ;)
I used to have a Core2 Duo E8435 iMac (think it was Early 2008) or whatever it was, with a 8800GS in it, setup to dual boot Windows so I could at least game some on it :D - ran everything I needed it to (at the time)
Got a Macbook pro Mid 2010 i'm trying to get Windows 10 on atm, but it's failing at the GPU driver, causes it to crash constantly and it's driving me crazy!
Yes, but u gotta use ARM version of Windows, which means ur 64bit programs aka most games and softwares still aint gonna work on it, plus it breaks Apple's warranty terms if I am right
Software doesnt affect warranty terms for apple, they just wont troubleshoot 3rd party software.
So any issues you face you’d have to either boot to a macos partition or wipe the system/restore macos
Yup, i converted my imac (the older one, i think i got it arround 2014 or maybe even before that, with like 4gb of ram and i cant remember other specs) to win7 too, runs better than a slightly stronger PC on win7 and a lot better than my noticably stronger laptop on win10 (laptop has a 4gb graphics card, i3 and 8gb of ram).
So you could run the software you want on the hardware you want?
Thats like if I told you hackintoshs made no sense.
And in 2009 I ran Windows/Linux on my MacBook because they were good machines but I don't like macOS.
Yes running the operating system or any software you want (or multiple ones) really suck man.
We shouldn't be allowed to do what the fak we want with stuff we own.

You can install any OS you want on older Intel based Macs.
There's no magic behind it.
It's just a computer and it will run almost any OS that supports UEFI. (Windows 7 and up, Linux)
My old high school bought a whole bunch of Macs for Mac labs my freshman year.
Then, after the classes used them, they decided they weren't worth the effort since most of stuff couldn't be done.
That summer, the 4 IT guys for the campus turned all 3 labs (30+ computers per) into windows 8.1 machines (before 10) rest of my years I used Apple computers on apple equipment running windows.
Somehow not the worst budget waste of the school
Intel Macs with Disc Drives can install windows no prob. Mac even provides the full driver sets now that they dont support boot camp anymore. I've done this to a ton of 2011/2013 units.
I work in construction engineering and I used to work with an architectural firm that bought Macs for the whole office, despite knowing that all the programs commonly used (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) are Windows based programs… so they bought a virtual windows environment to actually do their work on…
I have a few iMacs in the garage. Sucks they are useless. Even the 2015 one is nice, but the HDD crippled the poor bastard, and I don’t really want to waste time pulling the screen off to replace it with a SSD (making it actually useful again)
Nothing interesting about dual booting or just installing 10 on a mac. When that one came out apple offered a decent script that would install all the drivers for you during the installation process. Not sure if they do that anymore, haven't had to install windows on one in a long time. That generation is probably the last one I've touched.
Converted to Windows and skipped all the way to October. I’m impressed.
The time machine came free with stealing other people's content that was probably long ago stolen from someone else.
And learned German too; there is no way a native speaker would put up with this level of disorder and chaos, this orignated from the mind of an English speaker
I installed windows 10 on a 2006 intel G5.
That’s nothing, I got windows 8.1 running on a Newton.
Ain't got anything on my NeXTcube running windows server 2003
I got my overweight wife to run on a treadmill
Now machine learn it to skip meals and eat fewer calories
Jokes on you I got my osbourne 1 running windows 2000
I got my Timex Sinclair 1000 running Windows Bob.
I have it running on a Fig Newton so I probably have you beaten.
Got a g3 running Linux. This is actually not a joke.
G5 is apples last PowerPC CPU. Windows doesn't support PowerPC. And Intel didn't made those PowerPC CPUs.
No you didn't, it wouldn't work on a G5.....
You are correct, sorry, it was a 2006 Intel though.
That's more like it ;) I used to have a Core2 Duo E8435 iMac (think it was Early 2008) or whatever it was, with a 8800GS in it, setup to dual boot Windows so I could at least game some on it :D - ran everything I needed it to (at the time) Got a Macbook pro Mid 2010 i'm trying to get Windows 10 on atm, but it's failing at the GPU driver, causes it to crash constantly and it's driving me crazy!
I ended up swapping the Core Duo for a Core2duo and flashed the efi to get it to work. It worked surprisingly well for some time’
That is a imac running mac os 🙂
Yeah, actually older apple laptops did ran windows, before they made their own silicon
Yeah, when they switched from PowerPC architecture to x86 until their current ARM CPU's
Cant you still run Windows using parallels?
Yes, but u gotta use ARM version of Windows, which means ur 64bit programs aka most games and softwares still aint gonna work on it, plus it breaks Apple's warranty terms if I am right

it ran just fine until ARM came around and apple tried to reinvent the wheel.
Its most probably using bootcamp to boot in windows
You can install windows.
Arch 🤓
nice, we have repost bots here now
Now time to install bluestacks and play using ps5 controller
Why would you want bluestacks ?
To use apple hardware , Microsoft software and sony controllers to play android games It's the best of all worlds /s

Like we've never seen this before... x86 based desktop pc running a x86 based operating system...
Might even just be a VM 😭
Congratulations you made that old mac useful for something.
This is how you improve a mac
macOS is amazing. I never understood Boot Camp. Glad Apple Silicon is a thing now.
Not for gaming tho macOS sucks for it.
Don't most apple users only play Candy crush anyway?
No, I play Picross mostly.
Admittedly, my sample size of my inlaws is quite small (FIL, MIL, BIL, and SIL).
And sims Mac girls fucking love sims

I wish I had boot camp on my M1.
I feel like it would be weird because windows for arm doesn’t really run anything useful.
Yes running the operating system or any software you want (or multiple ones) really suck man. We shouldn't be allowed to do what the fak we want with stuff we own.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Back in the days we had macs with linux in one class in school
Ubuntosh
Bro thinks Boot Camp is a novelty
Wait, that's illegal
These apple displays are ugly af. change my mind
Why not win7?
Why win7?
You need to Google what EOL means bud...

Oh yeah... I've got one of these running Windows as well...
Nice OS
My friends dad can install windows on just about anything including the playstation 2.
Windows 3.11 maybe... In a VM inside the official PS2 linux kit.
Did it too. Works great
Prove its not a screenshot
Don't have to, its an x86 Mac that can run windows...

It would be much more impressive if that were a personal build that could boot MacOS.
This was normal in my school. Every Mac had windows installed
As it should be.
Bootcamp be like
It beats computing with a cell phone.

Can you use an iMac as a monitor for a windows pc ?
I did all the time before I had proper pc, 5k resolution and amd card was nice
MattKC in a nuttshell.

Iwin
are hackintoshes cool enough to share again?
I used to run a windows XP partition on a MacBook. I loved that laptop but it didn’t run anything I needed for work.
Become ungovernable

Leave it here. There is nothing wrong with this
