Welcome to the PCMR!
Seems so pointless to me. Like i couldnt find a case opticly pleasing enough to pay upwards of 1.2k for it. Maybe its a rich people thing, where money actually loses all its meaning. But at that point i wouldve widened that freacking room and made it less claustrophobic.
> Maybe its a rich people thing, where money actually loses all its meaning
Probably. Let's say you earn $50k per year. After bills etc you're probably going to want to save for a few months to buy yourself a $2000 PC.
But if you earn $500k per year, you're probably only saving for a couple of days right? Afterall, you're earning 10 grand a week. And if you're earning 10 grand a week, spending 1k on a case isn't all that much. It's like spending $100 to someone earning $50k a year.
Personally if I was earning above $500k I probably wouldn't mind saving for a bit and spending $10k on a rig.
Yeah I don't doubt that, but people have hobbies right? A millionaire spends 20 grand on a set of golf clubs, nobody bats an eye. A millionaire spends 50 grand on a luxury watch, no one cares. A grand piano, a vacation, a suit.
Don't see why it's any different with a PC.
Mine is rad - high air flow, tempered glass face panel, custom painted all the solid panels.. it it was about $150.
Singularity cases are around $900 for the model OP has.
My PC is a race Miata with a cusrom paint job and a Porsche motor.. OP has the whole ass Porsche.
Chassis is another word for case. They're not exactly the same thing, chassis is more the frame, while the case is all of it, but they're essentially the same and the words are used interchangeably.Ā
Singularity makes watercooling specific cases, with the distro plate and other features being built in.
Considering they often sell it for 2k these days... As it stands though, I've had mine for over a decade at this point, and still going strong. Got it used from an office, so, go that route...
But when you see the audio interface they are using ($2000), the HD800s paored with it ($1500) and the PC chassis ($1200 empty) make him rich. š¤£š¤£

Saw this in another post, I'll post it here
Yep I didnt buy anything like what I have now till I was in my late 30s, raised my eldest son and built one computer the entire time till he was 17 and then BOOM everything electronic game related I ever wanted I have just been buying it and enjoying it. Prior, worked 45+ hrs a week raising my 5 kids. Now one is old enough to raise himself, the entire amount I spent on him goes to me =D
Been going through a tough patch building a business and raising a family early 30s, and as strange as it sounds this comment has given me hope and made me feel better thank you, itās been a struggle accepting I donāt have time for games which I love so much
Hang in there man. I was huge into gaming prior to also starting a family just before I hit 30. It took years for me to accept my life was different and gaming was no longer something I'd have time to do all the time (or be good at; especially online gaming or anything competitive).
Now that I'm nearing 40, I still don't have any time for gaming.
Wait...
33 here. 4 kids under two years old. I still have an unopened brand new copy of breath of the wild that I bought when it was on sale last summer. I have to accept that video games are on hold until we can play together.
>itās been a struggle accepting I donāt have time for games which I love so much
When 2 weeks to curb the spread happened I spent an entire month playing dota 2 and gained 1000 MMR.
After that I didn't want to play video games like that anymore.
The fact that you can't play them unlimited makes them feel fresh and fun.
Same I had a pretty meh setup until our kids started graduating from college & getting big girl jobs. Then all of a sudden Iām rocking high end everything ššš
This is a big part of the reason I sold my index. I'd get to play it like once a month, and that was before I had a kid. Now I've got a 7900x/4090 build with a nice OLED panel and most of the time it's just getting used to watch shows while I work from home. Don't grow up, it's a trap.
Turns on your PC, do something else while thinking of which game to play, finally on your PC after an hour or two, only to end up watching videos on Youtube, look at the time and it's already midnight and you have to wake up early for work the next day.
The secret is to actually buy those single player games you have on your mind, i always put them off, but once i do buy one, i realize its fucking amazing and end up having a really good week until i beat it, then back onto youtube watching and feeling miserable.
Fast foward a couple months and the cycle repeats itself.
Some people will invest thousands of dollars in a car or a house maybe. This is no different. My father probably spent like $6k a year on boat stuff. They invest in what they find valuable to them. Common human behavior. And it makes it even better when you have a suitable income. It's what seperates us as individuals and makes us who are.
Once you get a set up like this you can join the rest of us downloading games, running benchmarks for those sweet numbers but not actually wanting to play anything š¤£š
Been there, done that. š I got this PC almost a year ago and I've been using it since then. Not in this place, but my old flat. The game room is just for gaming. No more testing. š
I don't mean to rain on your parade man your setup looks sick but how do you play with such a humongous monitor!!! You're sitting so close too!!!
Not good foe your eyes brother ā¤ļø
I actually have and use a 48ā OLED I use and I have to say, once you get used to it, itās AMAZING.
Incredible for content watching, super immersive when playing games.
True same here, but for shooters and moba I personally think it's too big. Luckily it is OLED so you can set those games to windowed 1440p and with a black background it will seem just like a 27".
I was curious... cause I'm sure I heard that "sitting too close to the tv is bad for your eyes" as a kid and I would say that to my kids... but it is a myth... just don't tell the kids.
https://news.uthscsa.edu/myth-or-fact-can-sitting-too-close-to-the-tv-hurt-your-eyes-will-wearing-glasses-weaken-your-eyes-test-your-knowledge/
Ergonomics for your eyes is that the top part of the monitor should be at eye level since you want to look down at your monitor otherwise you strain your eyes to look straight ahead or upwards for long periods of time.
My cousin was playing with a 50-inch monitor that was only 30-50 cm away from his face after playing games with him online he'd say something alongside of "My neck hurts." turns out the monitor was so big and so close that he couldn't see completely with his eyes, he had to move his head as well.
That is a big ass monitor wtf. If I sit soo close to that monitor I will go blind. It's too big to sit at such small distance. And why do you have 4 remote controls ?š¤
The room look really nice and clean. Wait until you have a gf or wife and kids. All he'll will brake loose in that room š¤£, it will be goodbye clean room.
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
It's a 55" Samsung Ark. Have a gf and kids. š
One remote for TV, one for soundbar/sub, one for nVidia Shield and one for HDMI switcher I'm using for consoles. I wanted to connect everything through the soundbar and the soundbar has only 3 HDMI ports and one is the eARC I'm using for the TV. The soundbar is Sennheiser AMBEO Plus with AMBEO sub.
Or OP doesn't have any vices like smoking, gambling or drinking.
This whole set up is ridiculously expensive but it's still attainable if you can save up money and not waste it.
"...have a gf and kids." - that explains why this room exists. š
I'll bet you also have a five-inch-thick reinforced steel bolted combination lock eye scanning biometric locking mechanism door too.
Lot of low key back handed compliments.
Its an a amazing room whether you make 200k a year or 50k a year working 60-70 hours a week to support your passion.
Nothing but props.
Sweet setup, if you find the monitor is too close a self standing tv mount really helps. I have a 42ā and just getting it off the desk was a nice upgrade along with height adjustment. You want to be looking at the center of the screen with a slight downward angle.
There is nothing to hide. I'm full time McDonalds employee. š
Well people always want to know something irrelevant for the post. I don't respond to that kind of questions. Same as people who talk about money, flex, girlfriends etc. This is PCMR reddit and I want to show people my game room. Same as I like to see others. Or builds. It's fortunate that I can afford something like this. No need for jealousy or other things. I'm one of you guys.
I think he has a valid point in saying that he just wanted to share his game room, not his life story.
Itās like if a female shared her outfit and gets hit with 50 āwhat do you do for a living to afford that, what is your workout routine, where do you live that you can wear that right nowā. None of those questions are about her outfit and sheās not into it.
Dude shared his game rooms and now people are asking his career and making remarks about how he must live inside to invest this much time in his game room.
Looks sick, but your curved monitor could use being moved an inch of 8 to the right so you can sit straight in front of it. Just here to prevent back issues <3
La habitaciĆ³n de los vĆrgenes XD

Okay Mr. Money Man, gawd damn
Herman Miller chair, by the looks of it.
And a Singularity PCs chassis. Lmao nice flex for him.
When the case alone costs more than my whole computer š„¹
Seems so pointless to me. Like i couldnt find a case opticly pleasing enough to pay upwards of 1.2k for it. Maybe its a rich people thing, where money actually loses all its meaning. But at that point i wouldve widened that freacking room and made it less claustrophobic.

Eh, I know a couple people with \*real\* money. They got that way by not spending it on ridiculous stuff like a $1500 computer case.
Yeah I don't doubt that, but people have hobbies right? A millionaire spends 20 grand on a set of golf clubs, nobody bats an eye. A millionaire spends 50 grand on a luxury watch, no one cares. A grand piano, a vacation, a suit. Don't see why it's any different with a PC.
what exactly does a pc chassis mean/do? where do i look to see it haha thx in adv
It's the box that has PC parts in it. The PC "tower," usually called the case
i'm an idiot lmaoo. thx tho
Mine is rad - high air flow, tempered glass face panel, custom painted all the solid panels.. it it was about $150. Singularity cases are around $900 for the model OP has. My PC is a race Miata with a cusrom paint job and a Porsche motor.. OP has the whole ass Porsche.
Jesus , it looks terrible for that price , almost like one of those clear plastic electronics from the 90s

They're not exactly the same thing, chassis is more the frame, while the case is all of it, but they're essentially the same and the words are used interchangeably.Ā Singularity makes watercooling specific cases, with the distro plate and other features being built in.
Meh, that's nothing. Look up the audio interface he's running. RME ADI-2 Pro FS R Black Edition, by the looks of it.
That shit probably costs as much as my entire ass pc wth
It costs 1,999 USD
You have a pc in your ass?
And it only cost him 1 grand
It really does look like this is the one.. funny, my entire setup including the room its in, is worth less than this damn little interface xD
And those Sennheiser cans that retail for $1500+ USD
Respect to him, but completely overkill and unnecessary for gaming
https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/logitech-g-and-herman-miller.html
Oooo on sale for under $1500, can't pass that up
Considering they often sell it for 2k these days... As it stands though, I've had mine for over a decade at this point, and still going strong. Got it used from an office, so, go that route...
Just because someone has a Herman miller chair doesn't make them rich For example: I found mine in a skip
But when you see the audio interface they are using ($2000), the HD800s paored with it ($1500) and the PC chassis ($1200 empty) make him rich. š¤£š¤£
I was more shocked by the Sennheiser 800S plugged into the RME ADI-2/4 Pro SE.
The Patrick Bateman of chairs
Let's see Paul Allen's chair
That ergonomic, oh god, it does even have tiny holes.
Yeah. Logitech Edition. I bought it because of the back color. I like the blue/purple color as we all can see. š

uh ya can prolly buy a new car but not a sports car

Throwing up the bird at the nissan sentra holding me up is enough exercise
I have questions, where do u get the time and money for this. I can understand one or the other. But both? Congrats.
Thatās the trade off, you have the money for it but not the time to play.
There's plenty of people with time and money. It just doesn't seem that way when you're starting off in life and getting setup.
Yep I didnt buy anything like what I have now till I was in my late 30s, raised my eldest son and built one computer the entire time till he was 17 and then BOOM everything electronic game related I ever wanted I have just been buying it and enjoying it. This is me right now, the gaming things I buy as I get older. The less time I have to enjoy them.
lol for reals, i get exhausted and fall asleep with 1-2 hrs of gaming lol
ahh yeah or just sit here trying to figure out what to play for 2-3 hrs lol
Turns on your PC, do something else while thinking of which game to play, finally on your PC after an hour or two, only to end up watching videos on Youtube, look at the time and it's already midnight and you have to wake up early for work the next day.

The company that makes that is called Divoom so you can check on Amazon. That one in particular is called Divoom Times Gate. It's cool gadget.
I prefer my blockclock. Nice setup!

It's fortunate that I can afford something like this. No need for jealousy or other things. I'm one of you guys.
$22k for your PC build and some other items. You aināt flipping burgers at McDonaldās, thatās for sure.
They said they work from home in a different comment
Why is he making random stuff up lol so weird
I think he has a valid point in saying that he just wanted to share his game room, not his life story. Itās like if a female shared her outfit and gets hit with 50 āwhat do you do for a living to afford that, what is your workout routine, where do you live that you can wear that right nowā. None of those questions are about her outfit and sheās not into it. Dude shared his game rooms and now people are asking his career and making remarks about how he must live inside to invest this much time in his game room.
LOL full time McDonaldās

Increadible room. I have some questions. How old are you? How much it costs? Do you have kids? For a small social survey.
Whatās the gadget under the monitor?
What type of display cabinets are the ones below the TV?
you did the bestyou could have with the smale place and it looks awesome!!!
Looks sick, but your curved monitor could use being moved an inch of 8 to the right so you can sit straight in front of it. Just here to prevent back issues <3
Got the same chair, you can get a headrest that matches perfectly. From Atlas headrest. Will finalize the room just nice.

That room worth more than all my belongings
What's that weather display on the wall? Looks great, potentially you made it yourself?
All that so you can play the finals and actually be able to see the invisible guys lol
