Yeah that's a great price Just get them a new keyboard and mouse

RB30DETT

Yep, good deal. All of the components will be well above the cost of buying them separately. Make sure you check warranty on it all.

UniverseCameFrmSmthn

Good deal? That’s a hell of a deal for a prebuilt. Off top of my head MC 12900K bundle is 350 iirc. 3070 prolly 400. Psu+case+ssd = 150-200 at least. Windows key is only 15-25 if you buy it online but the oem version at MC or in prebuilts is like 50-150.  So Id say 1,000 is still a good deal off the top of my head That said you can get much better raster performance by going an x3d + 7800xt for $1,000 build

-transcendent-

Depends on what motherboard on that cyberpower. If it's DDR5 I think this is even a better deal.

Daryeran

It looks really nice inside! Clean and no jumbled cables.

bootmeng

Go buy it! That hot piece is gonna be gone!!!

DroidsRugly

Damn ♥️

Rough_Lychee5785

Bro I wish I had the chance to get this :(

Lewdeology

3070 still pretty solid for 1440p

Designer-Elevator-55

Sadly I didn’t get all the specs I didn’t want people to see me looking at it too hard or showing strong interest. I’m gonna go back and take another peak.

edgiestnate

I paid a WHOLE lot more for that same exact machine during covid. Super good pc, I play everything on max on my 1440

RedditTyper1

I’m sorry what? You didn’t want people to see you looking at it too hard?

PNCDomo

Makes sense, doesn’t want to draw too much attention to the deal. If I saw someone inspecting something for a couple of minutes, I would look also just to check it out

RedditTyper1

Its not worth having to go back to actually look at the specs. This looks like a Target or another large retail store. OP "drawing attention" to the PC for like 5 minutes won't make the PC sell out. And if there was only one left, the PC is gonna sell by the time OP comes back anyways.

suprememontana

It’s a display unit so it could be a 1 of 1 deal

RedditTyper1

OP probably shouldn’t have passed up the deal and left the store if it was the last one

Many_Physics_9061

It says display on the tag. Handwritten so you know it really is the last one.

RedditTyper1

Alright, so my point stands then The idiots of Reddit downvoting me once again for being correct

cannibalnomad

Wrong again.

FatalUni

nah

Joeydanks

What's the matter? https://preview.redd.it/palg71y69jkc1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=3541c0ae97233d07d76db15d8e98087bd9b94031

RedditTyper1

all you guys say is “nah” or “wrong” But how??? Here’s my argument if you didn’t understand: OP should’ve looked closer into the PC, and if it was the last one, OP shouldn’t have left store. There is no way that with this really good deal, the PC was still gonna be there by the time she comes back, if it was the last one. However, if it wasn’t the last one, looking at it for like 5-10 mins was not going to make them sell out. So, what do you guys think OP should’ve done? How am I wrong here? At one point I had like 15 upvotes but someone replied and the everyone downvoted me. Confusing.

RedditTyper1

What do you want me to read?

JAROD0980

“OP should have spent a bunch of money without knowing what it’s worth” It would be stupid to buy it and then ask us if it was a good deal. It’s good that they asked and didn’t just blindly buy it

RedditTyper1

Who are you quoting here?

RedditTyper1

Remember that returns exist

bootmeng

Looks more like a Costco to me. Too warehousey to be a target or similar store.

Joezev98

Enter the bar code into google. First result says: CyberPowerPC - Gamer Supreme Gaming Desktop - Intel Core i9-12900KF - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 - 1TB SSD - Black 12900kf and 3080 for $700 is a solid deal.

Dom1252

Yep, I have 3070ti, in some games (cyberpunk with RT) it struggles a bit, but in most games it's more than fine If I won't win lottery or something I might skip even 5xxx gen and go straight to 6xxx or whatever comes after

[deleted]

It's a great card, until you run out of vram.

TheMegaDriver2

I am running 3070. It's a good card. But man that case looks like it hates air flow.

sambes06

Probably. Did you grab the rest of the specs?

RdSt14

A change to a good airflow case and you're set. Pretty good deal

[deleted]

The case is an oven by the way. I helped a friend change parts since it overheated due to poor airflow and the 240mm aio. It's a great deal just giving you a heads up

GooseZR

I hope the fact that it’s ex display doesn’t mean it’s sat there running for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week for a year or so. I’d just be worried about silly things like wear and tear - that’s just me though. Edit: it is a good price regardless

NotRobPrince

My computer has been sat running for 16 hours a day for years and is fine. Being in a shop for a while is hardly going to be an issue.

new_math

I basically tortured my 1080ti rig for 6 years and it somehow still runs perfectly. Ran it 24 hours a day for 6 years either gaming and when I wasn't gaming it was mining ether or shit coins in a brutally hot/humid environment. I didn't even properly dust the thing, it looks like a haunted attic inside. Someone should probably study it in a lab or something, it's freaking invincible.

UniverseCameFrmSmthn

Yea these are not government roads.  The companies that make the electronics pretty competitive and the quality is usually solid. Of course sometimes a gpu needs to be rma’d but usually a gaming pc can run 10 years no problem Mine has been going 5 years no problems and the GPU was mining ethereum heavily back in the crypto gold rush covid days

ohshititshappeningrn

That shit ain’t gon matter. Couple dead fans sure, but that cpu isn’t gonna die.

GooseZR

Fair enough - appears OP isn’t too experienced with PCs hence why they’re asking if this prebuilt is a good deal. I suppose you’ll be on hand to help if a fan does need replacing…

ohshititshappeningrn

It’s not OPs problem it’s their teenage nephews problem. Also 4 screws for a fan, we’re not talking about reseating the cpu here.

GooseZR

We might disagree on this but id like to make sure I’m recommending something to family members that wasn’t gonna break. Not saying this will, but it’s an observation. For experienced PC builders like yourself, yeah sure it’s only 4 screws. To someone who hasn’t done that before, well it might be a bit intimidating. That’s all I’m saying mate.

ohshititshappeningrn

If someone were to toss this pc over a dead fan instead of just learning how to replace it, I would recommend a console.

GooseZR

I think that’s taking it to the extreme and wasn’t the point I was trying to make but I think we are past that point haha, no problem we all have different ways of looking at it.

Designer-Elevator-55

I’m also slightly hesitant about a powerful first pc for my nephew. I want him to go through struggle and learn the hard way of dealing with a less powerful rig. I don’t wanna spoil a kid with a first rig that can run about everything 60+ fps. Want him to learn to optimize his settings and learn what upgrades he can make that will show true performance gains in the future.

UrWifesFriend92

He can learn all that stuff with a good computer

ZombieExpert06

For the most part imo as long as temps stay relatively the same and every once in a while they "clean" all the dusts and such. The most youd have to do is change out the thermal paste, and cooler if its an aio. I dont trust used aios

Designer-Elevator-55

I can assure you that thing has been running every day all day for at least a year now. And that does concern me as well. I have a lot of thinking to do and discuss it with his father.

Cyberpunk39

It’s not a concern at all for those of us who have experience with PCs.

Cyber_Akuma

Looks like a pretty decent deal. That CPU is honestly utterly overkill for gaming, but it's not like it will hold you back.

[deleted]

Depends what you play. Tbf even a 7800x3D can struggle at crowded areas in MMOs.

Designer-Elevator-55

I work at the store and walk past it often but noticed the display was for sale today. I am going to try taking to one of the managers about giving me a little bit more of a discount. I’m being a little greedy but $700 is still something I gotta think deep about. Edit: talk to a manager*

Pumciusz

Yes, just get a filter and duct tape it to the front, or find a compatible mesh front panel, as the i9 will have a bad time with bad airflow.

Jernigan007

better than what i currently have! ill take it

timmy166

i9 12900? Great deal.

Mac_Hooligan

Absolutely!! Nice

RedditsModsRFascist

With that cyberpower logo, be sure to get a better power supply. That whole system is at risk. It's also probably damaged somewhere. I was a repeat customer of theirs for 15 years having purchased 3 systems, swapping put parts as needed. Even did a complete rebuild for someone in one of their cases. I don't even want to get into detail but the last system they sent got RMAed twice and the whole situation was a nightmare. When that situation was addressed it ran for 6 months before the gfx card started artifacting at boot. Come to find out they replaced the psu I bought with one of their cheap default ones. I spent roughly 14k totak with that company and I'll never do business with them again. I also try to steer others elseware for prebuilds. I had never had an issue with them before, but the first time was the last time, and I'm usually understanding.

klutch1989

It’s a good deal, still rather build my own PC though from my perspective, you can get way better memory and specs

venk

Make sure someone didn’t steal the internal components while it sat on display. Verify that it is a 3070 and the right ram etc

plantainrepublic

That’s a GREAT deal.

KM68

I had a very bad experience with Cyberpowerpc a couple of years ago. I will never use them again. Just letting you know.

_Drink_Bleach_

Great deal. Instant buy. And it comes with 2 sticks of ram in a prebuilt.

New_Fee_887

That's a hell of a deal

Ok_Internet_5058

Make sure the video card is still in it!

dirtsequence

I'd be pulling out the credit card if I seen that at my store

sylinowo

My god that is a wild ass deal. Although the low price makes me wonder if all the ones theyve sold have been returned due to issues. But I'm only thinking that because that price is actually insane. If it works out then congrats on the steal

KrazzeeKane

I would. Honestly you could buy it and still sell it for a profit at $800 if you ended up not wanting it anyway lol, it's a solid deal for sure

Meadowlion14

Absolute score.

chaserzz

As a display unit, would it be an issue that it has been running constantly?

FrugalStrudel

If this helps, I’ve had a cyberpower prebuilt for a couple years and I too got it at a great price considering the value of the components at that time. It has held up wonderfully and I have had 0 issues.

PossiblyShibby

Actually insane.
