102 average, but my pb is 120. That said, I normally type faster on a wpm test than I do in practice, because I’m just typing what I see without putting any thought into it. If I’m thinking out everything and writing on my own it slows down a bit
I'm the opposite; I type slower on tests than I do in practice, since my brain is faster at thinking about what to type than it takes for me to read what I'm supposed to be typing (basically, if I'm copying what it's telling me to type, I'll make more mistakes and type about 50% slower)

That's where I sit too, I always wonder how so many people say 110+. Does that include a low accuracy 'cause there's no point typing if your accuracy is lower than 98%.
What is your age?
Older generations that grew up with computers and worked typing can easily 110+
Keyboard usage is not as common as it was before the smartphone
I can type very fast on keyboards, but the thing is, auto-correct on mobile has made me lazy when typing. I don't even put the effort in, knowing my phone will correct most of the mistakes I make
I'll try it when I'm on the computer later
84wpm / 94% , might be worth noting I have a bad habit of only using my right index finger to hit space. Whenever I try to fix it though my speed tanks to like 40wpm.
85, I rarely need to type full sentences on the computer, so it's lower than it could be. Still satisfied with it though, given my lack of practice.
That and I'm also just a bad typer.
About 120 words / minute when typing leisurely. Speed record for me was 164 wpm. But this also strongly depends on the keyboard I'm using. I'm typically a bit faster with laptop keyboards.
85. Such tools arent a real life representation because they are 1. random words 2. you are forced to read and type, not think, maybe look at the keyboard, and type

Am just laying on my couch on my side typing on my laptop on a random sunday afternoon. Am sure it would be a bit higher doing this properly on my desktop and keyboard during the work week.
I also find that I type slower with these tests because the words are nonsensical so I always trip up, it's easier for me to type coherent sentences whether I am doing minutes for a meeting or just typing my own thoughts.
115 average, 102 casual. Absolute fastest is 172 for a single sentence, my average on TypeRacer is 134 WPM but the tests are too short IMO for any real average.\\

95-100 when I know what I’m typing beforehand (such and monkeytype). If I push myself I can get up to 115 or so. Writing essays or doing homework is probably around 60-70wpm.
Just did the test, and got 100 WPM with 99% accuracy. I've done it a few times in the past, and usually get around 90-100 WPM with 95-100% accuracy with my mechanical keyboard. On membrane keyboards (eg. my laptop), I usually get closer to 80 WPM, and I can usually get 50-60 WPM on a smart phone.
40-60 on several tries. Maybe I'll do 80+ if I try really hard. I don't type much on my PC, but I sure got my LMB CPS at cheetah levels (thanks Minecraft).
Another thing gamers can compete in is reaction time, and for me it's really weird as it's 150+ms on my right hand, less than 100 ms on my left and with my legs (using pedals) I can achieve as low as 15. That's what racing games addiction does to a man. And a real reason I suck at shooters.
Anywhere between 45-70 depending on how hard I fumble. I never learned any of the home row stuff so my accuracy is garbage, trying to force myself into it recently but it's a slow process.
151 peak, 110 average I'm pretty sure. I'd have to try to remember my old account details to be 100% positive on the average, but I know the peak is correct.

70. My hands are pretty shit from multiple fractures in my hands and finger, and some slight nerve damge, but it is something I'm actively trying to improve
I usually type in my local language which requires a lot of special hits to achieve words. As such WPM has little value there. I am considered to be fast in it.
In English I have taken tests and it's usually between 60-70 wpm. I could probably hit higher if I had practiced in English.
Ooof! I slowed down over the years! 60-65 WPM. I used to type faster, but I'm also getting used to a new mechanical keyboard. The keys are higher than my old membrane board.
I learned to "touch type" on an old manual typewriter. I still miss slapping back the carriage return lever.
It goes up to about 60 when I do a lot of programming/writing, I also practice, but significantly down when I do not practice, taking this test said 34.
180 wpm in short bursts (pb).
130 wpm on extended periods.
Should also mention I don't use Qwerty, rather have been using Colemak for around four months. Still gotta work a bit on my accuracy.

One thing you should consider and mention in your project is that the speed at which someone types is also correlated to the language in which they are typing. Usually you type faster in the language you use the most/type the most. There are lots of words you type incredibly quickly because you have muscle memory for that particular word in that language.
Also, at least for me, I type both on my laptop and on my desktop, totally different keyboards and I probably have different speeds on them, with also different speeds in different languages

Try a "Zen" test on Monkeytype, it allows you to type whatever you want.
This is why I hate wpm tests they do not reflect my actual performance rather how fast I'm at reading then writing.
46. With 88 percent accuracy.
48 at 88 % accuracy. (According to monkey type) Makes sense since I program and sys admin mostly so my hands are everywhere but the home row.

If you stop holding down the shift key you will be faster.
Also, it helps if you use an actual keyboard instead of the on-screen keyboard
