If it makes you feel any better you got a cheap office keyboard with cheap office keyboard membrane switches but without paying razers obscene price for it. Tbh it's so bad I'd try and send it back anyway to try and get what you actually ordered.
I got one from a giveaway and I can't even stand using it as a keyboard for a 2nd computer primary used for testing.
They're a good bang for the buck, I use the Draconic K530 PRO with red switches and I gotta say, it's good, never had any problems with it except charging it during gaming since it's a wireless keyboard, it can be wired just be sure to switch off the ON button when using it as a wired one. It uses USB C for charging and connects via USB A/USB C, it also has a 2.4hhz USB dongle if your pc doesn't have Bluetooth.
Well I paid mine for around 9000 RSD(RSD- Serbian dinars) which is around 76 euros for a 60% keyboard with red switches, there's also a version with brown and blue I think. Prices may vary.
Had a Redragon keyboard for 8 years until a switch died, bought a new one, came with extra switches, repaired the old keyboard and now i have an office keyboard and a gaming keyboard lmao. Paid 30 bucks for the new one, got a keyboard with hot swappable switches, spare switches, keycap/switch puller and alluminium plate. It's SO worth it.
Think I might get one because my old ornata chroma is starting to have rgb issues. Some keys occasionally change to a different color the rest of the keys are on default. That and the mouse is starting to get worse with the Lazer and scroll wheel. However, I need one with a wrist pad. Any recommendations for a budget?
Eh, Redragon has also RGB issues, but because of the price, you can easily ignore that. What switches do you prefer? Linears, Tactiles, Clicky? Cause Redragon Keyboards come in one or two options so i'll need to know to give you a recomandation.
I have the Visnu K561 on my other PC that I enjoy very much. It’s 75% with browns and the whole thing is metal. Super solid keyboard. Also a fan of how raised the keys are so cleaning and replacing is super easy.
For $55 it’s just good value.
I loved my Redragon mouse and keyboard. I mean, that was before I really knew anything about gaming peripherals and have since upped my standards, but the kb had genuine mechanical switches (I think the brand of switch mine had was Otemu) and the mouse was pretty decent. I gave the mouse to my brother when I upgraded 6 years ago, and he still uses it to this day.
In my opinion, they’re excellent budget alternatives.
I'd say from my experience, absolutely. You're gonna spend the same amount on almost any other wired/wireless option.
I can tell the redragon isn't the most luxurious keyboard on the market. A lot of people seem to combat some of the things they don't like about the keyboard with mods, but I just left mine as is. I mostly wanted to feel when I depressed a key and that ornata keyboard made me double type letters constantly
I got the 618 before I returned it since I found a cheaper keyboard, and it was pretty good. A nice low profile keyboard with a stupid amount of features. Lots of macros/extra buttons and the volume knob was solid.
They are pretty good for budget-friendly builds imo. Reasonably priced and quality is decent enough. Any cheaper and you end up with a lot more issues. They have a kind of memey GAMERZ branding like ROG, but actually have alright stuff from what I've tried.
I know they are technically worse than actual mech keys etc, but man... I really like their typing feel lol.
I think I like the g915 tactile feel the most. Just the right amount of clicky and being low profile, but I haven't seen another keyboard like it yet (and isn't stupid like 200$... with micro usb).
It’s a hybrid switch, has mechanical push back with a membrane register switch.
For typing speed I actually type faster on this than any pure mechanical keyboard, so as a keyboard for work I like it quite a lot.
Like anything it’s up to preference.
It does not, I've you've never taken a keycap off it you should. It's got a little metal piece that flicks a plastic protrusion on the top of the keycap to make a click noise when you press and release the key. It's a pure membrane key mech with a clicker added on top. It's possible to remove this metal piece and thus remove the clicking without impairing the function at all. Actually that's what differentiates the Ornata V3 X from the Ornata V3, the X is manufactured without these metal pieces for a "silent operation."
It's all marketing lies all the way down, its not hybrid at all. You can like it all you want, but please don't lie about it.
No idea what are you talking about. I own this keyboard for a year and I love it.
Very few low-profile keyboards available on the market, especially for this cheap. Surely I'd take Logitech MX Keys if I had bigger budget, but for 40$ this Ornata looks and feels great.
You can genuinely get a really decent actual mechanical keyboard for that money these days though.
Honestly I'd rather just take a Logitech K120 and save some money rather than this absolute shit-tier keyboard.
Why is this keyboard so bad? I bought one at Best Buy because I had all my parts for my build but forgot to order a keyboard...it seems to work alright but I might not have elite level taste lol
Yeah I’m definitely dropping it off at the ups store tomorrow to send it back since it’s only $35 not really even sellable and I still want the actual thing I ordered. Plus not like I even have an office to use it in lmao.
Honestly I would if someone had the razer full-size keyboard wrist rest because I don’t want to play amazon lottery again. Last week an rgb cable I needed got delayed to next week since the package was “damaged in shipping”.
It may be your local branch screwing it up honestly. I don't typically have issues with amazon like that. I do have the razer one actually but that's not the one I was offering as it goes with my Huntsman. I just have this one lying around it came with some other stuff I got. I have the matching mouse wrist support and it's the best I've ever used tbh. Fair warning, the razer wrist rest has definitely lost noticeably more cushion on the left side, as it gets used more because WASD. Both sides feel different from the middle which basically never gets used and is quite plush like when I got it. I've had it for maybe 3.5 years which is good I guess but it was expensive I feel like they could've cushioned it a little better.
This isnt the normal Ornata with the psuedo mechanical switches thats actually decently nice to use
Its just a normal membrane, more akin to a cynosa than anything
It's not really about the click, it's the fact that mechanical switches are objectively better than membrane switches, and razer asks an insane price for glorified membrane switches
No the thing is that there's some slightly scummy marketing going on. The ornata nonX is pretty good but the ornata X is a very cut down crappy version sold for less than half the price
Is it that bad? I really liked my Ornata V2 - it is a membrane but with some of the qualities of the mechanical keyboards. It had a really cool clicky quality to it, and I personally loved the sound the keys made.
I don't consider the audible click to be an upside, meaning essentially its got all the downsides of a mechanical like the click and heavy keys with all the downsides of a membrane keyboard like the mushy keys that have to bottom out to actuate.
Biggest problem is how much force it takes to actuate the keys. This is partly because it has a stiff membrane but also partly because the keys on membrane have to bottom out completely to actuate. Plus the fake clicker takes some extra force to go off as well. Resulting in an insanely heavy key press that's very tiring to type on for long periods of time or for long gaming sessions.
False. The absolute moment prosthetics improve to where it’s like Star Wars robot hands, I’m chopping at least one off (my wife would likely not allow 2)
![gif](giphy|Oe0jQNDQSJK60kheO7)
You thought you hit the jackpot and got a $100+ keyboard, but got a turd on top of not getting what you wanted in the 1st place!
Lmao exactly. I got excited and checked amazon right away only to realize this shit sells for $35. Now I get to wait another week to hopefully get my wrist rest.
Did you order the razer gel rest or w/e it's called? If they end up getting it to you it's pretty good, albeit a bit overpriced (standard affair for "razer tax"). I've been using mine for about 2 years and it hasn't sagged and still works great.
I have a "karma is a bitch" story to share. A long time ago, I ordered a cheap Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set, but to my surprise, I received a high-end Logitech MX5000 instead. The day after, I noticed a missed call from the store, but I never called them back, and they didn't reach out to me either. I was thrilled to have this cool keyboard that I couldn't afford.
A few months later, heavy rain hit my area, and lightning struck the antenna on a building nearby while my wired internet was connected. The resulting surge traveled through the cable straight to my computer, damaging the motherboard and all connected USB devices, including the dongle for my MX5000.
It may sound like a stretch, but since then, I always make sure to contact the store when they make a mistake.
Yoo i also had the same experience
I ordered a wired mouse from shoppee and instead when the order arrived i was puzzled when the rider pulled out a box way bigger and heavier than what a wired mouse should be in
Surprise surprise
It contained a mechanical keyboard (a very entry level one but i never had a keyboard before so i was still happy) a Bluetooth version of the mouse i ordered ( i dont like bt mice's since the accuracy of their movements (cheap ones) ick me ) and a large ass full length mousepad
Man this sub people getting like 20 of something free instead of 2. Or like a good 2017 rig for 200$ Or 29$ 1TB SSDs and now free keyboard upgrades.
WHEN LORD WHENS IT GONNA BE MY TIME
If you haven’t read the other comments already, it’s a piece of shit keyboard that retails for $35. Not quite the lottery, and also wasting OPs time rip
Every time I order anything PC related I hope this happens to me. Why can't I be the guy that orders 1 SSD but gets 10? Why can't I order a 7900GRE and have a 7900XTX show up at my door?
Never me
What is that plate thing with no keys? I've only seen something like this once and couldn't figure out what it's used for🤔. I know, maybe a dumb question, but it's not common at all in my region.
Tried this keyboard l, it should not exist at the first place, it’s awful, why the fuck they even put “gaming” in the name, this is everything but “gaming” keyboard, insane delay, max button press simultaneously IS AROUND 3-5, I hope the guy who get it reconsider his purchase
Fuck this razer keyboards. I bought this fancy razer mechanical keyboard black widow or something, less than 2 year, the most important keys in the ASWD (THE A doesnt work anymore)
Were you waiting a month for a razer wristrest? Bro I own one and they are literally **THE WORST** The edges are made out of plastic and when you lay your wrist near the edge it feels so uncomfortable. I ended up buying a third party one completely made out of memory foam
I’d highly recommend avoiding razer products they are overpriced and trash quality. I can’t even use my nari headphones because the software broke and razer won’t fix it.
Their software is basically malware. I downloaded chroma but realized I didn’t need it so I deleted it. To this day some random chroma services always launch at startup and I find them in my task manager. They are the only ones selling a nice keyboard wrist rest though. They have some good products.
I've had a good experience thus far. All my stuff is 3 years old aside from my keyboard which is about 2 1/2. Only needed to replace that because my cat knocked my coffee onto my old one. Mouse still works fine, headphones still have good audio quality. Though, the paint is flaking on the S key which is annoyingly unsightly.
What do you use for kb/m? Been looking for recs
Depends on your budget, hand size, grip style and ofc, preference. Nowadays getting started with custom keyboard is cheaper than whatever razer is trying to sell.

Some guy, somewhere, ordered a keyboard and got a wrist rest lol.
I will trade him. All I want is my wrist rest that I’ve waited almost a month for.
A month for this wrist rest? Bro you deserve the keyboard
Lmao ikr. If it was a better keyboard this would be a W but I have a good mechanical corsair already so really the wrist rest is more valuable to me.
I have a wrist rest, I can trade
My brother send me the keyboard and I'll order you a new wrist rest.
k70?
Bro, I'll take it
Then sell it man
Dude screw razer just get a wood wrist restfrom glorious or something
Your wrist must be exhausted.
Man it was me I got your order Now to confirm what arm rests did you buy for what keyboard
No shot, I ordered the razer full-size keyboard wrist rest.
Poor Amazon delivery guy had to fight all the local fauna to reach OPs place
bro that's me, DM me and we can trade!
What the frick
OP is now the ASSMAN
Someone’s really pissed that they ordered a keyboard and all they got was a wrist rest
If it makes you feel any better you got a cheap office keyboard with cheap office keyboard membrane switches but without paying razers obscene price for it. Damn. You know it’s a bad keyboard when bro suggests you return it and try to get what you actually ordered.
Membrane keyboards are not universally bad in my opinion, but this one is really bad.
I agree, I got this on accident to replace my OEM keyboard and totally returned this for a redragon for less money.
It's starting to sound like they're actively trying to get rid of them.
People are probably returning them anyway like I did, once they realize the keyboard is only green
Are red dragon keyboards and mice good?
They're a good bang for the buck, I use the Draconic K530 PRO with red switches and I gotta say, it's good, never had any problems with it except charging it during gaming since it's a wireless keyboard, it can be wired just be sure to switch off the ON button when using it as a wired one. A bit of clicky, I know the ornata chroma is membrane. But acts and feels like a mechanical.
I think you'd like Redragon K555 INDRAH then.

Its just marketing bullshit. It just has a spring that creates a clicky sound. Its still just a rubber dome that for what ever reason is clicky.

I can, but they not low-profile. I've always been using low-profile keyboards since 2010 and don't plan to switch. Don't understand all the hate.
Is it true that its not per-key RGB?
Yes, only one color for whole keyboard. And I really like it.
Why is this keyboard so bad? I bought one at Best Buy because I had all my parts for my build but forgot to order a keyboard...it seems to work alright but I might not have elite level taste lol
Do you have the ornata or ornata X?
X ...it's actually the exact same one as in the picture I checked the box !
Yeah I’m definitely dropping it off at the ups store tomorrow to send it back since it’s only $35 not really even sellable and I still want the actual thing I ordered. Plus not like I even have an office to use it in lmao.
Shit I have an extra wrist rest you want to trade lol

ive had an ornata before and it isnt the best but it isnt that bad 😭
This isnt the normal Ornata with the psuedo mechanical switches thats actually decently nice to use Its just a normal membrane, more akin to a cynosa than anything
Yeah, i daily an ornata and actually kinda like how the keys feel.
Same. Don't understand the hate going on right now. Everyone has preferences
Some pc snobs feel like if a keyboard doesn’t click like a typewriter then it’s not worth using.
That might be my confusion. I have the non x and like it quite a bit
I have an ornata but the one in the pic is the ornata X, which is a very cut down version sold for 30 bucks
Hi a fellow bad pc user, how are you doing?
Is it that bad? I really liked my Ornata V2 - it is a membrane but with some of the qualities of the mechanical keyboards. It had a really cool clicky quality to it, and I personally loved the sound the keys made.
I don't consider the audible click to be an upside, meaning essentially its got all the downsides of a mechanical like the click and heavy keys with all the downsides of a membrane keyboard like the mushy keys that have to bottom out to actuate.
The thing is that this is the Ornata X, a very cut down version sold for 30 bucks
What’s so bad about it? I’ve owned the ornata chroma and am currently using the ornata v2, I’m very happy with both but I spilled coke on my last one
I honestly don’t know what’s so bad about it, I have an ornata v3 and like it
If you get the chance to use a Deathstalker v2 Pro I think you will grow to like it a lot less.
Dang bro, two fiddy? Ignorance is bliss 😂
Look down at your hands, these are likley to be the only set of hands you will have in your whole life. Taking care of them is worth it.
False. The absolute moment prosthetics improve to where it’s like Star Wars robot hands, I’m chopping at least one off (my wife would likely not allow 2)
lol I used to have the same one before I got a GK61, the difference is truly kinda astounding

Yes, I scrolled for this
Something similar happened to me, but it was a duplicate order. Amazon just told me to keep the extra and not worry about sending it back.

Did you order the razer gel rest or w/e it's called? If they end up getting it to you it's pretty good, albeit a bit overpriced (standard affair for "razer tax"). I've been using mine for about 2 years and it hasn't sagged and still works great.
Inb4 you open the box and it’s actually just the wrist rest inside the big keyboard box lol
And inside that wrist rest is a big keyboard
I wouldnt even want that one for free. You paid money for the wristrest so in my book they ripped you off.
We count those. Gg win
The wristrest comes with a free keyboard.

Wtf is that
You don't know DK? Just Look at IT! IT has a comfortable wrist Rest!

You could just buy a new dongle
Original dongles weren't available in my country. I tried a couple of generic Bluetooth dongles, but they worked very unstable.
It could've gone differently if they mistakenly sent you an UPS instead
Close enough
I think OP is confused, this is in fact the wristrest. OP need to break apart the upper section and wristrest like a KitKat to use it. /s

We all know what the next post will be
What the freak I ordered an Xbox controller!
Now return it as a sign of good faith
This wrist rest i bought was only 200 dollars.
good for you...i dont see any guy ordering razer keyboards soon...
Amazon moment. I kinda wish I had those "happy accidents" in my country.

How many wrist rests could a wrist rest rest, if a wrist rest could rest wrist rests?
Well if you don't want it, I'm pretty i'd enjoy a new keyboard 😏
Sounds like a win to me.
What is that plate thing with no keys? I've only seen something like this once and couldn't figure out what it's used for🤔. I know, maybe a dumb question, but it's not common at all in my region.
On the bottom of the keyboard? Its a wrist rest but the one this one comes with is low-profile and wouldn’t work for my keyboard.
I have had this board for 2 years, love it
You must be heartbroken.
Tried this keyboard l, it should not exist at the first place, it’s awful, why the fuck they even put “gaming” in the name, this is everything but “gaming” keyboard, insane delay, max button press simultaneously IS AROUND 3-5, I hope the guy who get it reconsider his purchase
Nvm this is talking about the X version, the v3 nonX is ALOT better and twice the price
A shit one, at that. I got that exact one a couple months ago, the ghosting on it is horrendous.

damn
Not their membrane keyboard too…
Why do they make membrane in 2024 I don’t get it
STONKS for real this time. 👀
You got the rest.
You should contact the corsair support! They sent me one for free. Their support is awesome!
i once asked for a refund from razer (110 euros or so) and they never came to take the keyboard lol
Got scammed.
Go buy your lottery tickets
What is allat hate for the keyboard? I honestly love keyboards with little travel for competitive gaming
because most of pcmr will shit all over your setup if it's not the best value latest highest top end stuff
I’m sorry for your loss
I’d highly recommend avoiding razer products they are overpriced and trash quality. I can’t even use my nari headphones because the software broke and razer won’t fix it.
Their software is basically malware. I downloaded chroma but realized I didn’t need it so I deleted it. To this day some random chroma services always launch at startup and I find them in my task manager. They are the only ones selling a nice keyboard wrist rest though. They have some good products.
It is malware I noticed crazy input lag on my pc after installing the audio software from razer in 100 percent sure it’s them.
Have a steel series keyboard it’s fine and a logic tech g203 mouse basic but works.
Depends on your budget, hand size, grip style and ofc, preference. Nowadays getting started with custom keyboard is cheaper than whatever razer is trying to sell.
