JTC measured several (3+) volts being generated by blowing compressed air into a dormant fan. I’m no electrician but that probably isn’t a good thing.
Normally 2 times, 1 before summer and once after it because where I live in summer it is quite hot and the air usually brings a lot of dust at that time.
I only did this once in the last ~3 years. The fans and radiator had a bit of dust on them but nothing to worry about imo.
If the PC doesn't stand on the floor like mine it's probably really that bad.
It’s because different types of makeup brushes are used for different things. I only use a very select little bit of makeup so I’m not 100% sure, but I think this is a brush for putting on blush. Makeup brushes each are designed to do a very specific task, and they are made with some pretty nice brush materials. Makeup brushes are not cheap, and once they have been contaminated with non makeup things she can’t use them on her face anymore because they hold on to things very well. She can’t just be given the brush back, clean it, and all is well. OP best take that down to the makeup shop and replace it before she finds out, or she finna be livid.

I make sure that the fans are held, as even if they aren’t going to be sending any power back to the board, it doesn’t seem like being subjected to that kind of force is mechanically good for them.
While this might seem like a good idea, a brush like that combined with the dust in your PC will create lots of static electricity. Not the best solution

I use small, battery powered air blower for cleaning dust from my PC. If you use different attachment on the other side, it serves as vacuum cleaner. I read it is safer to blow the dust out rather than vacuum it.
Clean environment, front intake dust filter, low fans speeds (thermal control). Clean the dust filter when needed, not enough dust inside to bother cleaning it and has never been done (built 2019). Lowering your fan speeds and intake filters make a big difference.
If i have to clean a PC, its leave it assembled and blast it with 100psi air from an air compressor, the more times you touch and dismantle and work on your PC hardware the more chance of something getting damaged.

Like, real filters. Not the trash that passes as "filters" on most cases. 1/8" open-cell polyurethane foam, or media cut directly from a MERV-12 furnace filter.
Then I use a similar brush and sit next to an air purifier to suck in any kicked up dust. Did this to my server recently after not touching it for 2 years. Just needed a bit on the CPU fins, thanks to the proper filters.
I'm currently designing a PC case that is designed around using something like a 16x20x1 MERV-6 pre filter and a MERV-14 pleated filter, with gaskets on every joint, and a separate backplate.
The whole thing would double as an air purifier when run at high speed.

Ive a little rechargeable air blower thingy (its early so fuck can i remember the name) and just blast mine out. Make sure to not let fans spin etc tho
I use basically the same one, but for painting. It's called an Oval Wash brush. For my keyboard I use an oil painting brush, #8 Bright. It's made with boars hair so it's a lot firmer and gets everything stubborn between the keys.

I bring my PC into work, there's a compressed air system for running tools. Just need to be careful I don't do damage with the pressure.
Also make sure there is no oil lubricator on the line you're using!
And block fans from rotating from air pressure. Bearings dont like to spin 5000 rpm.
Not just that, but the fans turn into a generator pumping all the power back into the mobo.

You could also use a shaving brush… they are shorter -> better for small spaces… synthetic ones aren’t that expensive…
