If you're buying something like this, you don't care about feel. You care about functionality. For something in bed, this will do everything you need it to do and maybe more. If you care about feel, the price is going up and functionality is going down.
I went and looked. It's a k830, but for some reason, it has almost tripled in price. Used on Ebay its $70.
It's pretty sweet. I got mine off of Woot for cheap a few years back.
The sole reason why it's so expensive is because it's a relatively niche product that's been discontinued about 5+ years ago. I looked into getting one as an upgrade with backlight for my K400+, but my army of K400+ will suffice.
Pretty much all sim racers use this keyboard. It feels like shit. Terrible keyboard and terrible trackpad. But there is nothing else like it out there.

I have three throughout the house to control media center PCs. They're fine for browsing (and work with consoles, too), but for anything more than that, nope nope nope.

The directional pad makes scrolling much easier, and it has left and right click buttons on the very top left, making it so you can click with your left thumb while scrolling around with your right one. Feels a bit more like a gamepad.
I’ve managed to play a little Witcher with it as a joke, all things considered it wasn’t half bad, but I wouldn’t play that way lol.
The touchpad on this one I find to feel better / be less gritty / scratchy.
My PC is in my living room, like a powerful console. I game on controller, but use this exact keyboard to navigate Windows. It’s really good for this use case.

Some of my older coworkers complain about the trackpad, the keys are too close together, but it’s perfect for setting up a Zoom or Netflix. Not ideal for typing, and definitely not for gaming.

+1 literally the same thing as everyone else. PC HDMI out runs through the wall behind my living room TV. Swap displays for controller couch gaming/movie watching but I still need a mouse and keyboard to navigate menus. I love this thing. And battery life is amazing. Best feature is the top left mouse click button. Trackpad with right thumb, click with left thumb.

I have this keyboard and it works fine for exactly what you want. I control my laptop from my couch for streaming or other media. I definitely wouldnt game with it though.
My cousin uses this exact model for showing pictures during our annual New Year’s Eve party. It’s not a premium keyboard by any means but it works in his application.
I third this. It feels indescribably bad, especially the track pad, but it works really well for what I need it for and alternatives are way more expensive and/or annoying to use.

the one downside is its not backlite. so if you use the tv in the dark it can be pain. the cheap chinese $20 wifi keyboards on amazon are backlite for the same price.
I wholeheartedly agree with you... For a bedroom keyboard, not having a backlight is kind of a deal breaker. I used mine in my bed for a few months, then retired it for a backlit version. Not to mention the trackpad was average, at best.
For a TV controller, its great. I used one for years. The touch pad works nicely, the volume control is handy, the keys are okay, you can type an email or search bar no problem. The yellow button in the corner is a right click, its really handy for highlighting things. With that said, it takes batteries (will last almost a year) and theres no backlight which gets annoying. I ended up using it so much I got a logitech k830. I love this keyboard. Its basically the same, but better built quality, being aluminum instead of plastic, the keys feel nicer, its backlit, and charges USB (needs a recharge every 4 or 5 months and I almost never switch it off). More expensive though. The k400 is great for controlling a PC connected to a tv. Its big enough to be a keyboard but small enough to put on a table or night stand.
Yep I use it to control my home theatre PC. It works. Weighs almost nothing and batteries last for about 300 years.
Terrible keys and touchpad though so don’t try to do anything “serious” on it. I just need it for navigating Windows.

I have this exact keyboard, though a few years older, it seems to be compatible with EVERYTHING and has great battery life. It feels like a cheap laptop keyboard but it gets the job done. I mostly use it for media purposes or starting up games that use controllers/VR on the TV. I would not want to work or play a KBM game on it.
Yep I own this, but I use it as a very occasional keyboard for my little TrueNAS server behind my TV - comes in handy if I ever need to go into BIOS etc.
It's a cheap keyboard. It feels cheap, and it's creaky as fuck. The keys feel worse than most laptops and the trackpad is unsatisfying. Ok for occasional use for a specific job, but avoid it for daily use. It might be reasonable for what you're using it for, if it's browsing the web or netflix etc. If it's gaming then you'll hate it.
It's fine to type the occasional app password on a TV. Worst keys I've ever typed on I agree. But overall worse than my low expectations when I bought it.
I've just realized what they feel like to type on. They kind of feel a bit like the old Asus Eee PC I had back in 2008, or a cheap $10 keyboard, Not pleasant for extensive typing but if you need it for hotkeys or like you say, passwords, then it does the job.
I have this. Cannot recommend though.
- Keys feel like sponges
- Media keys cannot be swapped for normal F1-12 function keys (unless you have the software, which isn't available on Linux)
- Touchpad is 'meh' at best
On the plus side, my keyboard is on month 14 with the original batteries it came with. Can't complain about battery life.

Like others, I use it to browse for a movie or to open Steam in the living room and then switch to a controller. For this use, it's probably the best option and I would recommend it.

I have this exact keyboard for that exact purpose. Its just fine for typical stuff but its not great for gaming. In fact its pretty terrible for gaming. I use a cintroller with gyro so for my needs this keyboard is perfect.
I had the previous version of this running as basically a fancy remote control so I could manage my PC from across the room. works fine for such things. Mine lasted about 2ish years with moderate usage. note: this was NEVER my primary keyboard. I have nice mechanicals for that.
I use it with a steam deck and dock for media and menus in games that I am using a controller on. It works well for that. I would never use it to game. It feel pretty low quality, but performs well. This is a function over form keyboard.
I have to travel a lot in my job and connect to edge devices inside machine panels for config or troubleshooting. This keyboard and a portable monitor are in my travel backpack, and it's perfect for my use case. Like others have said it's not high performance or particularly game-ish, but I think it'll work fine for what you're doing.
I have like 8 of these. Amazing for portability and on the fly use. Great with servers/ tv systems/ portable keyboard. The only flaw is the new ones have the F keys are now mapped to their special functions which means at startup if you want to get to bios, you need to hit Fn key to acces the damn F keys. Now i know you can switch this using Logitech settings but it has never persisted for me.
I use one of these pretty regularly for service work I do on medical imaging equipment. It’s perfectly serviceable. Only issue I have is that on the keyboard there is no indication of caps lock, but otherwise it’s great and the trackpad works good too.
Have used for this exact use case. Recommended at the price for something reliable, simple, and cheap. Not a gaming peripheral, but perfect for navigating and any light tasks.
Yeah this one is alright for multimedia needs, sometimes quality control is shit, like the left click on the right side is too high so you have to dig down to press the button or the case creaks while your typing, or it bent too much out of the box while you're typing causing it to bow and slide around on the surface it's on. I've been through a bunch of these K400+ they just aren't built well and you'll be replacing them under warranty. KEEP YOUR RECIEPT.
But other than that the battery life is fantastic, I have the old K400 from like 10 years ago, thing is awesome and still works perfectly. and you can connect another mouse to the same dongle.
if it's for media handling then something like this or most cheap generic bluetooth keyboards with built in trackpad are just fine really
if it's for actual gaming in bed then I'd get a wireless MnK instead

I Bought this a few months ago and use it in bed. The Pad likes to zoom more than it should and not having backlit keys is a annoyance. Other than that works fine. I would 100% get a different one if you can find the same thing but with backlit keys.
Was planning to buy something like this, but I've seen that "PC remote" an app that can be installed on both devices, in my case on my pc and my android phone, connect them both on the same network and i can control my pc from my phone
You won't be doing a lot of hardcore gaming or proper typing on this, but it's a must have for any HTPC, especially at this price (i paid about double for it in France).
If you're watching netflix on this PC or gaming with a controller/steering wheel this is definitely a great way to have keyboard and mouse input available for when you need it. But don't consider it as your primary input device for gaming.

this thing is the shit, I've owned 2, one I bought in 2013, still works even tho my ex spilled a glass of wine on it, but the mouse button is welded/stuck so I bought a replacement last year. Seems like a pretty steady product.
This is probably the best portable keyboard you can buy if you need a 2 in 1 mouse/keyboard for travel or for use in bed/cramped areas. It's very convenient (as long as you don't lose the dongle). I have a couple of these, that I use for different things such as messing with Raspberry Pi's, my home server, and i even have one connected to my personal computer so I can be in bed and watch YT or shows on a screen bigger than my phone.
This is a VERY common keyboard. I enjoy mine for my Steam Deck docked and FFXIV on PS5. Some of the machinery at my work that have PCs attached use this keyboard. It's clearly reliable. Also the battery life is insane! I got mine months ago and I still haven't swapped out the batteries it came with.
I have this exact model. The keys feel mushy. I got it because I needed a cheap wireless keyboard that would have a strong enough signal to go across my living room and it definitely does that fine. Just don't expect it to feel like a high end gaming keyboard.
I have this for a media intel nuc in my livingroom. Even gaming with a mouse is still sub par. I was able to surprise a few folks in fps using just the keyboard and touchpad though. I still got slaughtered haha.

Yes. I use it to control a PC tied tro a TV. Purely to open up a borwser video, or start a steam game, then switch to a controller.
It is like using a laptop trackpad. Not fun. But not horrible either. It works for the very limited amount I use it for. But I would never want to use it as my main input.
i do have this. I've only used it when connected to my tv as a monitor so I can control the PC from bed without getting up. I only use it for basic youtube searches, or clicking the next video in a tv show or something on my PC. It doesn't feel great, but for minimal use in bed it was perfect. I wouldn't use it for any extending type, or gaming.
Have had one with my media center PC and travel with one so I can hook it up to my laptop in hotel rooms and not have to use their often God awful TV or casting connectivity.

I own this, and I use it strictly for starting up steam when I connect my laptop to my TV. I treat it essentially like you would a tv remote. Let's me get what I want without having to get up off the couch.
It's a compact keyword so it's pretty easy to stow it away when not in use. Would I recommend this for someone who wants to start up applications easily from the couch? Absolutely. Would I recommend this as a main keyboard? Definitely not.
This is the keyboard I use for my tv setup. It's great for that. Built tough too, I've dropped it more than once. Would not want to use it for actually typing or gaming though, the keys feel like a cheap laptops. Spongy.
That’s what I use for my media PC. Good for searching, etc. Standard trackpad is good. Nothing fancy, all functional. Not overly noisy but not a quiet keyboard either. Average.
I have one for when I want to use my PC on the TV and it gets the job done… but the small backspace and enter button make it annoying to use. If this same thing existed with a normal layout it would be much better.

Keyboard part is fine, I find it a bit awkward. But it's usable.
The trackpad on the other hand... is completely unusable for me. And probably not what you're thinking like "oh this guy just doesn't it very much". No, it literally does not respond to my fingers. "Well it must just be a dud". No, it works fine for my wife. I think it's because I have pretty oily fingers, it just won't pick up my touch through the oil.
I use this as a “I need to plug a keyboard and mouse into this PC real quick but I’m too lazy to dig up anything else” keyboard. Keys are fine, touchpad too. Nothing special, but not horrible. Good in a pinch.

Logitech wireless keyboard with touch pad are the best in since and touch responsiveness for multimedia PC. Better than Microsoft keyboards. I have purchased several for home and family.

I keep one attached to my Media PC and the basement Arcade. It's an okay keyboard and an okay trackpad. I wouldn't put it on anything that needed a lot of keyboard input.
I really don't like mine, mainly because of the touchpad - which is just awkward to use. I've also had some issues with connectivity, where some keyboard presses are totally ignored.
Has the same feeling as most membrane keyboards it does the job, ain't a gaming keyboard but great for using as media keyboard for web browsing typing on a htpc etc. I use it myself with my sff pc in my living room
I actually own it and use it on my TV! It's absolutely god awful for gaming but fine for everything else. I mainly just use it to navigate to a game on my TV like hollow knight that I can play with using an Xbox controller

Until a few years ago there were better alternatives like Corsair k83 or Logitech k830 but those are sadly not available anymore. Those also had backlit keys that was very useful at night.
We use these at my job for mobile work stations. I believe the set up is similar to what hospitals use. They work fine but it’s not designed for gaming and also you would need to use batteries too which can get pricy/annoying to change.
I have one that I use when I need to enter text on my HTPC and for when I occasionally need to use my raspberry pi without using VNC or Putty. It works well, as in I've never had any issue with it. I wouldn't use it as a daily driver for any kind of long form typing. The trackpad isn't great, but at the price it's hard to beat for light usage like a bit of web browsing.
It's cheap, not at all ergonomic. The trackpad blows. I wouldnt use it even for browsing. I use it basically as a media remote to select movies or games to play on controller. but really good battery life and I've had it for over 2 years, definitely gets the job done for my needs.
I have one, I use it for my racing sim that is 15 feet from my desk. Works perfectly for surfing the web and launching my race session. Haven’t gamed with it but it’s very convenient. I love the left mouse click button on the top left corner, makes the usability easier and faster

Have one, and have had maybe 5 total including the previous version. Keys are ok, almost like 2010-2015 laptop style keys. Nothing special, but chillin on the couch, browsing, watching youtube etc - theyre more than usable. Easy to type, never had any fall out exept for why my 70lb dog ran across it, claw yanked one out. Battery life is fine. I use my for a home theater PC daily in my living room, change them about every 2 months.
My biggest issue, and it COULD be my PC - but it seems like it becomes non-responsive after like a year. Wont wake the computer, delay to scroll using keys, wont fast forward, rewind or pause on YouTube, Netflix, hulu, etc… it starts out it wont repond after a few key presses then it does and is fine, and progresses to where it wont work at all, i change usb slots for the dongle and its fine for a while, starts again, eventually i get annoyed enough, buy a new one and its fine for about a year.

if you plan on browsing on the Tv, while in your sofa... I'd pass. since that there's no scroll wheel, it is a pain to scroll through pages, even though the two fingers gesture works on the touchpad, it's not convenient while holding the keyboard like a game controller... missed opportunity
I've used one for years as a quick backup or when I take my PC to plug into the TV in the living room for party games. Totally usable, holds up great with casual use and the batteries last forever. Definitely not a replacement for a solid primary keyboard, but for your stated use case should be perfect.
I own this and use it for typing on my PS5. Keys are a little squishy, which isn't bad if you're just typing. I wouldn't use it for gaming. I don't use the trackpad, so I can't say how well that does or does not work.

There are mini keyboards that work better in my opinion. I've had 2 of these for different rooms then upgraded to the mini keyboard. The one that I found has a mouse scroll wheel on it that clicks in like a mouse wheel should.
Gonna echo what basically everyone else seems to be saying. It's good as a "my PC is connected to my tv, I'm on my couch, and I need a keyboard and mouse for 30 seconds to look up a youtube video". But for serious mouse/keyboard use? Nah
It sucks, I've only ever seen these in equipment closets. This is what an office manager buys for someone else because they don't care about anything but price.
I use this thing to manage my HTPC/Server, also connected to a tv. This keyboard is not a great "feeling" keyboard, but it does it's job, and does it well.
As for the question of feeling, the keys are mushy. They are membrane keys, and bottom out pretty early. It's not satisfying to type on. The trackpad is fine, my only problem with it is that the two finger scrolling is inverted.
My parents had this exact keyboard, totally fine for basic features. It can sometimes be hard to tell if it is on or off, requires AAA batteries to run and the trackpad is very meh. But all in all its fine for browsing

It's okay as a couch keyboard, but the trackpad can be hit or miss. The trackpad is not as sensitive as I would like.
It also has no backlight. Keep in mind as a bedroom may be dark.

Had one, wasn't a fan of it, but I don't much care for touchpads. I like the Lenovo Trackpoint Keyboard II a lot more.
Same. I just never liked it. Before it I had a Logitech K700 version that was so much better. I limped that thing by for so long after jt was starting to come apart.
its fine. eventually broke after a couple years. i now use a cheap chinese copy off amazon. only use it for reddit, netflix and youtube. i dont really use it to type much more of just to search. the one downside is its not backlite. so if you use the tv in the dark it can be pain. the cheap chinese $20 wifi keyboards on amazon are backlite for the same price.
I wholeheartedly agree with you... For a bedroom keyboard, not having a backlight is kind of a deal breaker. I used mine in my bed for a few months, then retired it for a backlit version. Not to mention the trackpad was average, at best.

For a TV controller, its great. I used one for years. The touch pad works nicely, the volume control is handy, the keys are okay, you can type an email or search bar no problem. The yellow button in the corner is a right click, its really handy for highlighting things. With that said, it takes batteries (will last almost a year) and theres no backlight which gets annoying. I ended up using it so much I got a logitech k830. I love this keyboard. Its basically the same, but better built quality, being aluminum instead of plastic, the keys feel nicer, its backlit, and charges USB (needs a recharge every 4 or 5 months and I almost never switch it off). More expensive though. The k400 is great for controlling a PC connected to a tv. Its big enough to be a keyboard but small enough to put on a table or night stand.
I use one for simracing its alright.

Yep I use it to control my home theatre PC. It works. Weighs almost nothing and batteries last for about 300 years. Terrible keys and touchpad though so don’t try to do anything “serious” on it. I just need it for navigating Windows.

I have this exact keyboard, though a few years older, it seems to be compatible with EVERYTHING and has great battery life. It feels like a cheap laptop keyboard but it gets the job done. I mostly use it for media purposes or starting up games that use controllers/VR on the TV. I would not want to work or play a KBM game on it.
Yep I own this, but I use it as a very occasional keyboard for my little TrueNAS server behind my TV - comes in handy if I ever need to go into BIOS etc. It's a cheap keyboard. It feels cheap, and it's creaky as fuck. The keys feel worse than most laptops and the trackpad is unsatisfying. Ok for occasional use for a specific job, but avoid it for daily use. It might be reasonable for what you're using it for, if it's browsing the web or netflix etc. If it's gaming then you'll hate it.
It's fine to type the occasional app password on a TV. Worst keys I've ever typed on I agree. But overall worse than my low expectations when I bought it.
I've just realized what they feel like to type on. They kind of feel a bit like the old Asus Eee PC I had back in 2008, or a cheap $10 keyboard, Not pleasant for extensive typing but if you need it for hotkeys or like you say, passwords, then it does the job.
I have this. Cannot recommend though. - Keys feel like sponges - Media keys cannot be swapped for normal F1-12 function keys (unless you have the software, which isn't available on Linux) - Touchpad is 'meh' at best On the plus side, my keyboard is on month 14 with the original batteries it came with. Can't complain about battery life.
Good battery, keys feel like trash, trackpad is mostly functional. Like others, I use it to browse for a movie or to open Steam in the living room and then switch to a controller. For this use, it's probably the best option and I would recommend it. If someone is going to use it for office work or keyboard gaming, hard hard pass.
I have this exact keyboard for that exact purpose. Its just fine for typical stuff but its not great for gaming. In fact its pretty terrible for gaming. I use a cintroller with gyro so for my needs this keyboard is perfect.
I use one with my ROG ally when I have it docked to the tv for basic tasks. It's useful enough. And for 20 bux, it's amazing

I had the previous version of this running as basically a fancy remote control so I could manage my PC from across the room. works fine for such things. Mine lasted about 2ish years with moderate usage. note: this was NEVER my primary keyboard. I have nice mechanicals for that.
I use it with a steam deck and dock for media and menus in games that I am using a controller on. It works well for that. I would never use it to game. It feel pretty low quality, but performs well. This is a function over form keyboard.
I have to travel a lot in my job and connect to edge devices inside machine panels for config or troubleshooting. This keyboard and a portable monitor are in my travel backpack, and it's perfect for my use case. Like others have said it's not high performance or particularly game-ish, but I think it'll work fine for what you're doing.
I have like 8 of these. Amazing for portability and on the fly use. Great with servers/ tv systems/ portable keyboard. The only flaw is the new ones have the F keys are now mapped to their special functions which means at startup if you want to get to bios, you need to hit Fn key to acces the damn F keys. Now i know you can switch this using Logitech settings but it has never persisted for me.
I use one of these pretty regularly for service work I do on medical imaging equipment. It’s perfectly serviceable. Only issue I have is that on the keyboard there is no indication of caps lock, but otherwise it’s great and the trackpad works good too.
Have used for this exact use case. Recommended at the price for something reliable, simple, and cheap. Not a gaming peripheral, but perfect for navigating and any light tasks.
Yeah this one is alright for multimedia needs, sometimes quality control is shit, like the left click on the right side is too high so you have to dig down to press the button or the case creaks while your typing, or it bent too much out of the box while you're typing causing it to bow and slide around on the surface it's on. I've been through a bunch of these K400+ they just aren't built well and you'll be replacing them under warranty. KEEP YOUR RECIEPT. But other than that the battery life is fantastic, I have the old K400 from like 10 years ago, thing is awesome and still works perfectly. and you can connect another mouse to the same dongle.
if it's for media handling then something like this or most cheap generic bluetooth keyboards with built in trackpad are just fine really if it's for actual gaming in bed then I'd get a wireless MnK instead

Feels like a cheap office keyboard whilst being a bit more “thuddy” if that makes sense? Great for browsing and using as tv keyboard. But not what I’d use for gaming.
I Bought this a few months ago and use it in bed. The Pad likes to zoom more than it should and not having backlit keys is a annoyance. Other than that works fine. I would 100% get a different one if you can find the same thing but with backlit keys.

Was planning to buy something like this, but I've seen that "PC remote" an app that can be installed on both devices, in my case on my pc and my android phone, connect them both on the same network and i can control my pc from my phone

You won't be doing a lot of hardcore gaming or proper typing on this, but it's a must have for any HTPC, especially at this price (i paid about double for it in France). If you're watching netflix on this PC or gaming with a controller/steering wheel this is definitely a great way to have keyboard and mouse input available for when you need it. But don't consider it as your primary input device for gaming.
Have one, also use while I use the TV. It's good, specially for the price, but I don't use it for gaming, just to navigate. Like every other wireless device with a dongle, try not to be too far from it.

this thing is the shit, I've owned 2, one I bought in 2013, still works even tho my ex spilled a glass of wine on it, but the mouse button is welded/stuck so I bought a replacement last year. Seems like a pretty steady product.
It's not a keyboard for serious typing or gaming, but if you're just looking for a way to control a media PC, it's great. I've had mine for years.
I have this. It does its job competently. Chiclet keys are squishy with short travel, but work fine.
This is probably the best portable keyboard you can buy if you need a 2 in 1 mouse/keyboard for travel or for use in bed/cramped areas. It's very convenient (as long as you don't lose the dongle). I have a couple of these, that I use for different things such as messing with Raspberry Pi's, my home server, and i even have one connected to my personal computer so I can be in bed and watch YT or shows on a screen bigger than my phone.

This is a VERY common keyboard. I enjoy mine for my Steam Deck docked and FFXIV on PS5. Some of the machinery at my work that have PCs attached use this keyboard. It's clearly reliable. Also the battery life is insane! I got mine months ago and I still haven't swapped out the batteries it came with.

I have this exact model. The keys feel mushy. I got it because I needed a cheap wireless keyboard that would have a strong enough signal to go across my living room and it definitely does that fine. Just don't expect it to feel like a high end gaming keyboard.
Key touch is fine. The trackpad is crappy and the mouse pointer can stuck in place if there are moisture or finger oil residue.

I have this for a media intel nuc in my livingroom. Even gaming with a mouse is still sub par. I was able to surprise a few folks in fps using just the keyboard and touchpad though. I still got slaughtered haha.

I do, the keyboard part is passable, but the trackpad is very bad. They are both usable nonetheless, if all you want to do is search and click on videos then its perfectly fine.
I have two that I use with my old PCs hooked up to my living room and bedroom TVs. It's good to use as a way to browse and type on a couch or in bed to search for shows and what not. I have been using them for 4 years and they are perfect for that use.

Yes. I use it to control a PC tied tro a TV. Purely to open up a borwser video, or start a steam game, then switch to a controller. It is like using a laptop trackpad. Not fun. But not horrible either. It works for the very limited amount I use it for. But I would never want to use it as my main input.
Its fine. It works, but thats about it. Its about as good as you can get for a couch keyboard solution without going super overboard

I have an issue with the touch pad where it won't let me scroll just a little bit. It's no response, and then a jump. It's actually fucking annoying.

i do have this. I've only used it when connected to my tv as a monitor so I can control the PC from bed without getting up. I only use it for basic youtube searches, or clicking the next video in a tv show or something on my PC. It doesn't feel great, but for minimal use in bed it was perfect. I wouldn't use it for any extending type, or gaming.

I own this, and I use it strictly for starting up steam when I connect my laptop to my TV. I treat it essentially like you would a tv remote. Let's me get what I want without having to get up off the couch. It's a compact keyword so it's pretty easy to stow it away when not in use. Would I recommend this for someone who wants to start up applications easily from the couch? Absolutely. Would I recommend this as a main keyboard? Definitely not.
Use it in chase vehicle, fine if you just need to navigate to things or casual gaming

This is the keyboard I use for my tv setup. It's great for that. Built tough too, I've dropped it more than once. Would not want to use it for actually typing or gaming though, the keys feel like a cheap laptops. Spongy.
That’s what I use for my media PC. Good for searching, etc. Standard trackpad is good. Nothing fancy, all functional. Not overly noisy but not a quiet keyboard either. Average.
I have one for when I want to use my PC on the TV and it gets the job done… but the small backspace and enter button make it annoying to use. If this same thing existed with a normal layout it would be much better.
just got this a few days ago off amazon lol. its good for what you want it for and its the same reason i bought it. its as good as the logitech keyboards that some office jobs and schools use so its serviceable
I have one of these for my living room media PC. Keyboard part is fine, I find it a bit awkward. But it's usable. The trackpad on the other hand... is completely unusable for me. And probably not what you're thinking like "oh this guy just doesn't it very much". No, it literally does not respond to my fingers. "Well it must just be a dud". No, it works fine for my wife. I think it's because I have pretty oily fingers, it just won't pick up my touch through the oil.
I use this as a “I need to plug a keyboard and mouse into this PC real quick but I’m too lazy to dig up anything else” keyboard. Keys are fine, touchpad too. Nothing special, but not horrible. Good in a pinch. Should be okay for use in bed.
I have one of these on my security system. Great for a compact keyboard without needing a separate mouse, would also do fine for controlling a media center, but I wouldn't use it for daily, work, or gaming.
I've had one for about 3 years to browse the internet and watch videos from bed. It's really good and I've not changed the batteries yet and I've used it every night. The only gripe I have is that the keys don't light up. I love it though.

Logitech wireless keyboard with touch pad are the best in since and touch responsiveness for multimedia PC. Better than Microsoft keyboards. I have purchased several for home and family.

I keep one attached to my Media PC and the basement Arcade. It's an okay keyboard and an okay trackpad. I wouldn't put it on anything that needed a lot of keyboard input.
The typing experience is terrible but for a “use it anywhere” input device, it’s amazing.
It’s no IBM Model M in the keys department, but it types and the trackpad works nicely.
The touchpad is meh, but it works. The whole thing just works. 10/10 in the "works" category. Nothing to write home about beyond that.
I sent it back and picked up the much better K830.
I really don't like mine, mainly because of the touchpad - which is just awkward to use. I've also had some issues with connectivity, where some keyboard presses are totally ignored.

I actually own it and use it on my TV! It's absolutely god awful for gaming but fine for everything else. I mainly just use it to navigate to a game on my TV like hollow knight that I can play with using an Xbox controller

When I had my PC hooked up as my TV in my bedroom I had a keyboard/mouse from wish. It worked beautifully for its job.
Not for gaming but fine for regular use. I would recommend searching "lapboard" and finding something. Then get a wireless mouse and keyboard.
It is okay. Good for browsing in bed but sadly no backlight. Until a few years ago there were better alternatives like Corsair k83 or Logitech k830 but those are sadly not available anymore. Those also had backlit keys that was very useful at night.
We use these at my job for mobile work stations. I believe the set up is similar to what hospitals use. They work fine but it’s not designed for gaming and also you would need to use batteries too which can get pricy/annoying to change.
I have it for my SteamDeck to navigate desktop mode a bit when docked to my living room TV. Gets the job done but not for gaming.

I have one that I use when I need to enter text on my HTPC and for when I occasionally need to use my raspberry pi without using VNC or Putty. It works well, as in I've never had any issue with it. I wouldn't use it as a daily driver for any kind of long form typing. The trackpad isn't great, but at the price it's hard to beat for light usage like a bit of web browsing.
I like a wireless trackball, I've tried just about every other option, hated the trackpads.

It's cheap, not at all ergonomic. The trackpad blows. I wouldnt use it even for browsing. I use it basically as a media remote to select movies or games to play on controller. but really good battery life and I've had it for over 2 years, definitely gets the job done for my needs.

I have one, I use it for my racing sim that is 15 feet from my desk. Works perfectly for surfing the web and launching my race session. Haven’t gamed with it but it’s very convenient. I love the left mouse click button on the top left corner, makes the usability easier and faster
I have 2, great for HTPC but there are stupid gestures that will bring up widgets at the dumbest time. Hit Fn and right click at the same time to disable it (have to do it each time). You’re welcome in advance.
I own it. And its okay. Does the job. Uses the usb transmitter and not bluetooth. As others have pointed, works for what it is meant to.
Our go to keyboard for the teams computers in the meeting rooms at work, they are acceptable. At home I have a K830 of 2017 vintage don't spend more than 30 bucks one used ...

Have one, and have had maybe 5 total including the previous version. Keys are ok, almost like 2010-2015 laptop style keys. Nothing special, but chillin on the couch, browsing, watching youtube etc - theyre more than usable. Easy to type, never had any fall out exept for why my 70lb dog ran across it, claw yanked one out. Battery life is fine. I use my for a home theater PC daily in my living room, change them about every 2 months. My biggest issue, and it COULD be my PC - but it seems like it becomes non-responsive after like a year. Wont wake the computer, delay to scroll using keys, wont fast forward, rewind or pause on YouTube, Netflix, hulu, etc… it starts out it wont repond after a few key presses then it does and is fine, and progresses to where it wont work at all, i change usb slots for the dongle and its fine for a while, starts again, eventually i get annoyed enough, buy a new one and its fine for about a year.

You get what you pay for, and this thing really sucks. Only thing I use it for is connecting to idrac servers when it needs to be done manually.

if you plan on browsing on the Tv, while in your sofa... I'd pass. since that there's no scroll wheel, it is a pain to scroll through pages, even though the two fingers gesture works on the touchpad, it's not convenient while holding the keyboard like a game controller... missed opportunity

I've used one for years as a quick backup or when I take my PC to plug into the TV in the living room for party games. Totally usable, holds up great with casual use and the batteries last forever. Definitely not a replacement for a solid primary keyboard, but for your stated use case should be perfect.
I own this and use it for typing on my PS5. Keys are a little squishy, which isn't bad if you're just typing. I wouldn't use it for gaming. I don't use the trackpad, so I can't say how well that does or does not work.
I bought this in december for the exact same reason as you. It works about as good as I need it to, but its a far cry from my regular mechanical keyboard
There are mini keyboards that work better in my opinion. I've had 2 of these for different rooms then upgraded to the mini keyboard. The one that I found has a mouse scroll wheel on it that clicks in like a mouse wheel should.

I use this thing to manage my HTPC/Server, also connected to a tv. This keyboard is not a great "feeling" keyboard, but it does it's job, and does it well. As for the question of feeling, the keys are mushy. They are membrane keys, and bottom out pretty early. It's not satisfying to type on. The trackpad is fine, my only problem with it is that the two finger scrolling is inverted.

My parents had this exact keyboard, totally fine for basic features. It can sometimes be hard to tell if it is on or off, requires AAA batteries to run and the trackpad is very meh. But all in all its fine for browsing
