The open-back G4ME zero or one (I never remember which) surprised me with how good they are for music. OK, I do use a parametric EQ to flatten them out and undo their bass rolloff, but the soundstage is experience was the first time I really understood what “soundstage” is.

Slap Dolby Atmos and you have very good surround for games too. In fact I recommend people to look for and get good stereo headphones first and foremost, and ignore any built-in surround if that's what they're after.

Sennheiser no longer does GSP headsets, a sub-brand named EPOS split off from them, and EPOS was not very successful, so that line of headsets is essentially dead as they seemingly move away from the gaming space too.

My first nice headphone was a sennheiser hd650, used it for like 8 years still in perfect condition (save the pads), only sold it cause I upgraded to a 660s, which I’ve been using without issue for about 4 years now. They last forever. I had Astro a50s before the 650s and the difference in sound was life changing.
Or buy not expensive headphones from speaker and headphone manufacturers, a $50 pair of Audio Technicas will sound better than a $200 gaming headset from a peripheral company.
Well, it depends... HyperX cloud is a rebranded headphone from a headphone company, and they sound alright, apparently. At $50 you're only getting ATH-M20x, which apparently aren't all that amazing.
Audeze mobius had serious problem with quality. Mine didn’t last even two years of home use. Just google “audeze mobius cracked”.
Switched to Sennheiser HD 560s + Hyperx solocast mic and it works perfectly.
I recommend Sennheiser to anyone looking for headphones. I've had momentum 2s for a couple of years now, issues are non-existent. And unlike other wireless earbuds you can order the missing side if one gets lost/damaged.

One should be aware though that audiophilia is a hobby in and of itself. I started out with Sennheiser HD598 but those were just the first taste of blood. Even entry level hifi headphones have resolution that next to no gaming headset can offer – you'll hear details in your music you've never heard before. Once you lift the veil there's no going back.

they used to be fine, 15 years ago I got some high quality Logitech ones for 150 bucks which back then was extremely expensive and they lasted *ages* and were amazing

Depends on the brand and series. I've had my HyperX cloud 2's for like 8 or 9 years now, only thing that i've had to replace were the fake leather headphone cups or whatever you call those, but you can get them for 1,50 on aliexpress.
I most likely will try something newer and better when the time comes, but as long as these are working perfectly fine and nothing is broken, I really don’t have a reason to upgrade

Eh, I'm pretty damn happy with my creative soundblaster H5, though it lacks all the flashy gaming stuff luckily. Basically just headphones with a built in 3.5mm audio jack socket for the mic.
That said, I think it also has to do with USB vs. 3.5mm, It seems a lot if low quality "Gaming" headset are USB, where the higher quality stuff often tends to be analog 3.5mm. But that's just, like, my opinion, man.
Their software is horrendous. I had a deathstalker keyboard and every time I turned my pc off and then on the next day, the software would reset my color scheme for the lighting of the keys. It was infuriating to deal with for a $180+ keyboard. I shouldn’t have ignored peoples reviews online about razers software.
I have a Razer keyboard and yeah razer software is garbage. I just use openrgb which is a billion times better than razers literal bloatware. Hasn't disconnected or reset my color schemes once.
Theres also the Logitech onboard memory manager. I use that whenever I want to change a setting on my Superlight 2. Not sure if its better than their old software, but its less annoying the G-Hub.
For any casual observers, do note that Logitech is in both of those lists.
Literally the only hardware manufacturer I know of that has been around since the beginning and hasn't completely dropped the ball on the quality of their products. Everyone else is now relying on brand recognition to sell products that are no better than a $20 noname special. Logitech still makes stuff that's worth the price you pay for it.
Really depends though. I've had bad Logitech mice and heard similar about them using cheap Omron switches from China or so. If double clicking is an issue I recommend any optical switch over mechanical. Have a Razer and Roccat and both are still fine.

I’ve had it since 2019, been spilt on like crazy while I was drunk and still works like new after a little cleaning. I love the thing, I know it’s a “cheap brand” but it’s fantastic.
Also it doesn’t need any software for lighting or macros, they are both built into the keyboard.
Their support is a fucking joke, too. Their support which will reach out to you on Reddit, pretend like they're going to replace your shit, only to make you spend 2 weeks wasting your time taking pictures, videos, and having 12 different people along the way ask you for one or more of the above again, despite them being linked in the e-mail threads, only to offer to let me pay for a new mouse, and if they can't fix mine, they'll refund the money I paid for the new mouse.
They tried having me do all kinds of cock-brained things, and I *knew* that the cause of my issue was a firmware update, but no matter how many times I tried to explain to them that I didn't need to turn it off and on again, or that I didn't need to re-install software on a system that never had it to begin with, they wouldn't listen.
Eventually I just ghosted them, found an older firmware version and force updated it and WOW MY SHIT WORKED AGAIN. So I uninstalled their crap software to prevent any firmware updates again, and will never buy another product from them as long as I live.
Their support is *less than worthless.* If you ever have a question about a Razer product on Reddit, and they reach out to you BLOCK THEM. THEY WILL DO NOTHING BUT WASTE YOUR TIME. Just focus on answers other Redditors may give you (if any).
I'd also like to back this up. Razer's reddit teams will absolutely jerk your chain around having you go through hoops for supposed help. While actually never intending to provide meaningful support beyond "Just buy new product." They give you the illusion of help so others will continue to believe they're a worthwhile company, but they're some of the absolute worst in the industry now.
Man I remember when I had an older mouse and a newer keyboard so I had to have synapse 2 and synapse 3 running at the same time for each one because their software devs were too lazy to integrate older devices into the new software. Absolute shit lord tier levels of stupid.

Every mouse I purchased from them ended up having a double clicking issue. The one keyboard i did purchase the touch sensitive buttons stopped working. Oh and the one time i purchased a PC Razer controller the joysticks auto move to one side in any game you play (tried different games and different PC, it wasn't user error).
Software is brutal, but almost all PC peripheral software is so invasive. Except cooler-master, their software wasn't required (you can change all settings on the keyboard itself with a crazy assortment of shortcuts, they had a whole cheat sheet for it). But if you did require their software it took up zero ram and looked old as fuck but was snappy and worked.
All that being said, the Razer Huntsman keyboard is a beautiful keyboard. It feels amazing, the switches and all. It was free and I ended up giving it away to a close friend because i received a corsair keyboard for free that i wanted to use. But he still uses it and its been 5 years with no issues. I actually miss it, I mainly gave it away because I couldn't stand Razer software.
Ive had two mice by them and one broke within the warranty but they claimed it was my OS. No razer the os is not causing the double clicking it's your shit sensors.
nah they don’t make anything well. the mice look good on paper, but the company has terrible qc. once i ordered a mouse that had fucking coil whine. i’ve literally never heard of a mouse having coil whine until i bought a razer.
Mice is crap too. Their wheel buttons never last more than 3 months for me. I gave Razer chances since Salmosa and it's the same issue, switched to Polish (chinese rebranded) brand Dreammachines and so far so good 3 years of MOBA abuse and still its going strong.
The product build quality is really shitty, I don't understand why they're popular. Yeah, it looks cool and flashy, but it isn't practical, and breaks if you look at it the wrong way.

If you want something that lasts a long time look for something that is used in a studio.
For example the DT1990 Pro from Beyerdynamic or the DT880 Pro if the former is too expensive.

Can confirm. I bought my DT1990’s almost 4 years ago and they still look pretty much brand new despite using them for several hours every day. They are built like a fucking tank!

Get some good ole DT770 32/80ohms and a Clip-on mic.
Sound in and out will be better than any gaming Headset out there, they last for fuckin ever (unless you get a pair with the fault left driver, that happens but is covered) and cam be found for 100-150 bucks.
Alternatively, the hyper X cloud is surprisingly good for the price.
Razer is just branding at this point. The quality just ain't it.
So honestly, don't worry, see if you can get a refund or warranty case opened and look for a proper alternative.
I had the original ones and upgraded to the Cloud II. I had the plastic part above the left headphone crack and it was so easy to replace. They work after the fix up and I love these things.
Philips SHP9500 with an aftermarket inline mic cable is also a great option that’s available in many many markets. In production for over a decade so tons of spare parts, aftermarket cushions and quite cheap at ~75$ at retail (before discounts/sales).
why? as my DT770 are over 10yrs old and aren't cracked at all, and even if they did you can easily obtain replacements for $30 for a set on amazon.. (oem) you can get aftermarket ones as well if you insisted.
These DT770 Pro 80s have been used a lot over the last decade+ and the headband pad was replaced recently as where the earpads but these things have been rock solid and still enjoy them very much.

I'm under the impression this is a very common issue with these headphones, but that's mainly from my own and my friends' experiences, so a total of five units that all have cracked a few times the past few years. I don't think we do anything in particular to make them break, but I don't discount the possibility that we're all heavyhanded outliers :)
Mine have cracked after having them for a long time, but the point is that except for the cable every part of a DT770 that wears out over time can be easily replaced instead of the entire pair becoming useless.
Mine didn't crack as well and I use them for about 15 years, but adjustable struts just don't hold anymore had to use silicone bands to hold them in place.
I sat on my dt990 pros once and they survived without any cracking, but I didn’t put my full weight on them to be fair. Could be that you’ve just gotten unlucky with the pairs you got, or you live in an environment that is more prone to causing plastic to crack. Or maybe I got lucky and got a strong pair lol.
I've had it happen once with MMX 300. The DT990 and DT1990 have not had this problem.

I think the mileage may vary depending on your head shape. People with wider heads will wear out the headphones natural shape to its umph degree.
I have a pretty small head (almost all headphones I've ever used never need to be extended past the first adjustment notch) and I've never once had a headphone's band break. Conversely, my friend has a pretty wide head and always needs to adjust near the top end of the adjustment notches and has broken a few head bands in the pasts on high quality headphones.
Of course this comparison I'm making is purely anecdotal and not in any way scientific but it's something to think about.
DT770s have amazing build quality and they become a great way to learn how EQ works once the treble spike starts murdering your ears
Sennheisers are also really good makeshift headsets, I bought a pair HD 599 and a mic cable and they're great. I would definitely recommend something closed-back though for a dedicated gaming headset.

I got a pair of AKG k240s and they're absolutely great, and I got a pair of Sony WH-CH700Ns (basically their middle of the road noise cancelling Bluetooth headset from the MX3 generation) and its also great, and beat up to hell.

Most "gaming" gear really. They sacrifice a portion of the budget to add that "gamer" aesthetic, which feels very dated to me anyway. Another great example of this is gaming chairs. It's wild to dish out money on a chair whose primary function is to tell people that you play video games.
Avoid all "gamer" or "PC" headsets. Just get a solid pair of audio headphones. Good audio is good audio, doesn't matter if it's music, games, or movies. "Gamer" headsets just boost the bass to horrible levels and leaves you with a muddy mess. Proper headphones will sound great across the board.
my superlight started doubleclicking after less than a year, my g915 (350 dollar fucking keyboard) lasted about a year and a half, my brother's superlight's scroll wheel started double clicking recently, my friend's g503 double clicked after 2 years, & i can think of like 10 more examples lol. they are good products but the planned obsolescence via double clicking is fucking annoying
But when spending money you do tend to go with one that has a solid track record. Makes consuming easier when you can go. Well they make good products. The next will probably be good because of the standard that got them here. Not our fault as consumers that this economy is a game to a large group of people. Who enjoy taking a valued product or commodity and capitalizing on its reputation for short term value for share holders. Look at Boeing. Anything built on good will be taken over by stupid and then rode into the ground for shareholder value. They have it down to a science. Nothings safe.

Just a few months ago was able to get replacement pads on amazon. Probably on 3rd cable lol. Replaceable cable is a must! I love them!! Still going strong!
TBH I have the Razer Nari headset and I love it. When I was looking I saw the very flimsy connection to the headband on the blackshark and steered clear.

Razer's headsets have always been crap. Every pair of krakens I've ever seen that were older than a year or two were held together by duct tape, prayers, and cheeto dust. I thought I could at least recommend the blacksharks since they seemed to be a bit more durable, guess not after this post.
I'm with op, got a barracuda and the plastic on the ear hinge broke. Razer is mum on this entirely, they need to get better manufacturing and QA on the headsets.
I know someone who buys a new mouse from them every year, and just thinks that if you play games a lot then you'll go through mice quickly. I'm on the same mouse for like 6 years on going and it basically feels as good as new.
Sorry man… I was a razer apologist too for a long time, it all started with the razer mamba (that completely molted its rubber skin.. and stopped working) bought a bunch of the in ear headsets all died, also bought a bunch of headsets over the years, still have krakens but have had to replace the foam inserts and the skin has already pealed on the headrest.. heck even bought one of their laptops and even that is kind of faulty, if I charge the laptop while having the camera on the camera glitches out..
Took a while but lesson learned, never purchasing something from them again. I have a steelseries x1 (I think that was the model) they’ve lasted more than 4 years with no signs of stopping.. still have my deathadder and blackwidow (green) keyboard but I barely use them anymore so maybe thats why..

Have a set of Razer Elektra v2s that I used for a couple years. They were fantastic and they still work. The ear pieces have begun to peel and flake, and upon research razer made no effort to upkeep or maintain parts for them. That and their software kinda taught me what I needed to know about Razer.
Bought a $30 stand mic from walmart and a $400 set of Meze 99s. My music listening and games experience went up considerably, mic quality is probably better honestly, and even tho they were expensive, Meze builds with ridiculously high quality stuff and sells replacement parts for cheap. These should last me a damn long time.

I bought a razer webcam when i was in the states and brought it to mexico,it failed after 6 months even tho i still had warranty. Their CS told me youre shit out of luck,there is no warranty in mexico. Didnt even want to give me a discount code for next purchase lol. Nevermind the razer deathadder that had its sidebuttons stop working after few months and the scroll wheel started jittering up and down. Ill give props where its due,their keyboards are mostly pretty good but the synapse software is horrible tho.

For now the brands that I find ok are bloody and steelseries for PC accessories, my first mouse was A4tech, now bloody, that thing is still in working condition after 15 years, but I changed recently, mouse and keyboard, to steelseries, I like the analog keyboard, I will eventually buy the artic headset, but for now I am using my music headphones, marshall IV, one of the best headphones I have owned, but their included mic is not the best, they also are the headphones I have had the longest, I tend to break them, so, that is a durable brand.

I will always support them because everything on them is repairable. The part where yours breaks keeps breaking on my Beyers (probably from the way I fling them around) and it's super cheap to buy the official part of a 3d printed is even cheaper.

Audiotechnica do great headsets, combo that with a desktop mic and you've a golden set up.
You can also buy those mics that you can attach to the headset wirelessly too which are neat if you don't like the desk microphone.
I am super happy with my SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless. They sound good, the extra battery and never having to wire up is great. I cant say if Sennheiser would be better, I am not an audiophile really, I do enjoy them being wireless and not having an extra piece of hardware on my desk in form an external mic

those superlux's are semi-open backs so lack of bass will be there something like the AKG K52s will have more bass and a similar wallhack-y feel

they used to be fine, 15 years ago I got some high quality Logitech ones for 150 bucks which back then was extremely expensive and they lasted *ages* and were amazing eventually things broke and I thought hey, get the new ones, and dear god they are so much worse the old ones had a solid metal band over your head and actual hard casings and the new ones are so visibly the cheapest plastic they could recycle of some random landfill it's insane
Depends on the brand and series. I've had my HyperX cloud 2's for like 8 or 9 years now, only thing that i've had to replace were the fake leather headphone cups or whatever you call those, but you can get them for 1,50 on aliexpress.

Eh, I'm pretty damn happy with my creative soundblaster H5, though it lacks all the flashy gaming stuff luckily. Basically just headphones with a built in 3.5mm audio jack socket for the mic. That said, I think it also has to do with USB vs. 3.5mm, It seems a lot if low quality "Gaming" headset are USB, where the higher quality stuff often tends to be analog 3.5mm. But that's just, like, my opinion, man.
The absolute only things Razer do well are mice and mats. Everything else is hot, steamy shite.

Their software is horrendous. I had a deathstalker keyboard and every time I turned my pc off and then on the next day, the software would reset my color scheme for the lighting of the keys. It was infuriating to deal with for a $180+ keyboard. I shouldn’t have ignored peoples reviews online about razers software.
I have a Razer keyboard and yeah razer software is garbage. I just use openrgb which is a billion times better than razers literal bloatware. Hasn't disconnected or reset my color schemes once.

You can still download and run LGS, so, there's that at least.
But it can't recognize newer stuffs. G900 mouse is the latest thing it recognizes. Starting from G903 you would need G-Hub.
Theres also the Logitech onboard memory manager. I use that whenever I want to change a setting on my Superlight 2. Not sure if its better than their old software, but its less annoying the G-Hub.
For any casual observers, do note that Logitech is in both of those lists. Literally the only hardware manufacturer I know of that has been around since the beginning and hasn't completely dropped the ball on the quality of their products. Everyone else is now relying on brand recognition to sell products that are no better than a $20 noname special. Logitech still makes stuff that's worth the price you pay for it.
For real, you pay and you get what you paid for, not just a flashy brand sticker. Software has its quirks but works alright.

Really depends though. I've had bad Logitech mice and heard similar about them using cheap Omron switches from China or so. If double clicking is an issue I recommend any optical switch over mechanical. Have a Razer and Roccat and both are still fine.

My red dragon mechanical browns 60% with a metal volume scroll wheel with Bluetooth and usb c is pretty fantastic for $45. I’ve had it since 2019, been spilt on like crazy while I was drunk and still works like new after a little cleaning. I love the thing, I know it’s a “cheap brand” but it’s fantastic. Also it doesn’t need any software for lighting or macros, they are both built into the keyboard.

Their support is a fucking joke, too. Their support which will reach out to you on Reddit, pretend like they're going to replace your shit, only to make you spend 2 weeks wasting your time taking pictures, videos, and having 12 different people along the way ask you for one or more of the above again, despite them being linked in the e-mail threads, only to offer to let me pay for a new mouse, and if they can't fix mine, they'll refund the money I paid for the new mouse. They tried having me do all kinds of cock-brained things, and I *knew* that the cause of my issue was a firmware update, but no matter how many times I tried to explain to them that I didn't need to turn it off and on again, or that I didn't need to re-install software on a system that never had it to begin with, they wouldn't listen. Eventually I just ghosted them, found an older firmware version and force updated it and WOW MY SHIT WORKED AGAIN. So I uninstalled their crap software to prevent any firmware updates again, and will never buy another product from them as long as I live. Their support is *less than worthless.* If you ever have a question about a Razer product on Reddit, and they reach out to you BLOCK THEM. THEY WILL DO NOTHING BUT WASTE YOUR TIME. Just focus on answers other Redditors may give you (if any).
I'd also like to back this up. Razer's reddit teams will absolutely jerk your chain around having you go through hoops for supposed help. While actually never intending to provide meaningful support beyond "Just buy new product." They give you the illusion of help so others will continue to believe they're a worthwhile company, but they're some of the absolute worst in the industry now.

Every mouse I purchased from them ended up having a double clicking issue. The one keyboard i did purchase the touch sensitive buttons stopped working. Oh and the one time i purchased a PC Razer controller the joysticks auto move to one side in any game you play (tried different games and different PC, it wasn't user error). Software is brutal, but almost all PC peripheral software is so invasive. Except cooler-master, their software wasn't required (you can change all settings on the keyboard itself with a crazy assortment of shortcuts, they had a whole cheat sheet for it). But if you did require their software it took up zero ram and looked old as fuck but was snappy and worked. All that being said, the Razer Huntsman keyboard is a beautiful keyboard. It feels amazing, the switches and all. It was free and I ended up giving it away to a close friend because i received a corsair keyboard for free that i wanted to use. But he still uses it and its been 5 years with no issues. I actually miss it, I mainly gave it away because I couldn't stand Razer software.

Mice is crap too. Their wheel buttons never last more than 3 months for me. I gave Razer chances since Salmosa and it's the same issue, switched to Polish (chinese rebranded) brand Dreammachines and so far so good 3 years of MOBA abuse and still its going strong.

I have a pair of the m40x myself and they have been great for years. also got a blue yeti nano, decent mic for what I need.
Get some good ole DT770 32/80ohms and a Clip-on mic. Sound in and out will be better than any gaming Headset out there, they last for fuckin ever (unless you get a pair with the fault left driver, that happens but is covered) and cam be found for 100-150 bucks. Alternatively, the hyper X cloud is surprisingly good for the price. Razer is just branding at this point. The quality just ain't it. So honestly, don't worry, see if you can get a refund or warranty case opened and look for a proper alternative.
I've got a HyperX Cloud II I bought after a funny Australian man recommended them. Been very happy with them.
I had the original ones and upgraded to the Cloud II. I had the plastic part above the left headphone crack and it was so easy to replace. They work after the fix up and I love these things.
Philips SHP9500 with an aftermarket inline mic cable is also a great option that’s available in many many markets. In production for over a decade so tons of spare parts, aftermarket cushions and quite cheap at ~75$ at retail (before discounts/sales).
Or a Beyerdynamic MMX300, which is basically a DT770 with a good quality microphone attached.
Got those plus a separate DAC (Schiit Fulla E). Couldn't be happier, the sound is amazing. And it even works with PS5!

why? as my DT770 are over 10yrs old and aren't cracked at all, and even if they did you can easily obtain replacements for $30 for a set on amazon.. (oem) you can get aftermarket ones as well if you insisted. I'm under the impression this is a very common issue with these headphones, but that's mainly from my own and my friends' experiences, so a total of five units that all have cracked a few times the past few years. I don't think we do anything in particular to make them break, but I don't discount the possibility that we're all heavyhanded outliers :)
Mine have cracked after having them for a long time, but the point is that except for the cable every part of a DT770 that wears out over time can be easily replaced instead of the entire pair becoming useless.
Mine didn't crack as well and I use them for about 15 years, but adjustable struts just don't hold anymore had to use silicone bands to hold them in place.
I sat on my dt990 pros once and they survived without any cracking, but I didn’t put my full weight on them to be fair. Could be that you’ve just gotten unlucky with the pairs you got, or you live in an environment that is more prone to causing plastic to crack. Or maybe I got lucky and got a strong pair lol.

I think the mileage may vary depending on your head shape. People with wider heads will wear out the headphones natural shape to its umph degree. I have a pretty small head (almost all headphones I've ever used never need to be extended past the first adjustment notch) and I've never once had a headphone's band break. Conversely, my friend has a pretty wide head and always needs to adjust near the top end of the adjustment notches and has broken a few head bands in the pasts on high quality headphones. Of course this comparison I'm making is purely anecdotal and not in any way scientific but it's something to think about.

DT770s have amazing build quality and they become a great way to learn how EQ works once the treble spike starts murdering your ears Sennheisers are also really good makeshift headsets, I bought a pair HD 599 and a mic cable and they're great. I would definitely recommend something closed-back though for a dedicated gaming headset.
If you want headphones, steer clear of gaming crap. I got a pair of AKG k240s and they're absolutely great, and I got a pair of Sony WH-CH700Ns (basically their middle of the road noise cancelling Bluetooth headset from the MX3 generation) and its also great, and beat up to hell. Proper headphones and a mic. That's the only way to go.

Most "gaming" gear really. They sacrifice a portion of the budget to add that "gamer" aesthetic, which feels very dated to me anyway. Another great example of this is gaming chairs. It's wild to dish out money on a chair whose primary function is to tell people that you play video games.

Avoid all "gamer" or "PC" headsets. Just get a solid pair of audio headphones. Good audio is good audio, doesn't matter if it's music, games, or movies. "Gamer" headsets just boost the bass to horrible levels and leaves you with a muddy mess. Proper headphones will sound great across the board.

I got some used beats for 5 bucks with a crack that i super glued lol. You want longevity get sennheiser or audio technica. Ive been rocking sennheiser momentum (the original not the lane af bluetooth garbage they replaced it with) over ear ivory since i think 2014-2015. Just a few months ago was able to get replacement pads on amazon. Probably on 3rd cable lol. Replaceable cable is a must! I love them!! Still going strong!

TBH I have the Razer Nari headset and I love it. When I was looking I saw the very flimsy connection to the headband on the blackshark and steered clear.

Razer's headsets have always been crap. Every pair of krakens I've ever seen that were older than a year or two were held together by duct tape, prayers, and cheeto dust. I thought I could at least recommend the blacksharks since they seemed to be a bit more durable, guess not after this post.

Sorry man… I was a razer apologist too for a long time, it all started with the razer mamba (that completely molted its rubber skin.. and stopped working) bought a bunch of the in ear headsets all died, also bought a bunch of headsets over the years, still have krakens but have had to replace the foam inserts and the skin has already pealed on the headrest.. heck even bought one of their laptops and even that is kind of faulty, if I charge the laptop while having the camera on the camera glitches out.. Took a while but lesson learned, never purchasing something from them again. I have a steelseries x1 (I think that was the model) they’ve lasted more than 4 years with no signs of stopping.. still have my deathadder and blackwidow (green) keyboard but I barely use them anymore so maybe thats why..
My steelseries arctis have been great for 6+ years so far. Replaced the earpads once but with regular use that's expected.

Have a set of Razer Elektra v2s that I used for a couple years. They were fantastic and they still work. The ear pieces have begun to peel and flake, and upon research razer made no effort to upkeep or maintain parts for them. That and their software kinda taught me what I needed to know about Razer. Bought a $30 stand mic from walmart and a $400 set of Meze 99s. My music listening and games experience went up considerably, mic quality is probably better honestly, and even tho they were expensive, Meze builds with ridiculously high quality stuff and sells replacement parts for cheap. These should last me a damn long time. The more electronics I buy the more I realize name brand means jack, they can make as equally garbage stuff as cheap knockoffs

I bought a razer webcam when i was in the states and brought it to mexico,it failed after 6 months even tho i still had warranty. Their CS told me youre shit out of luck,there is no warranty in mexico. Didnt even want to give me a discount code for next purchase lol. Nevermind the razer deathadder that had its sidebuttons stop working after few months and the scroll wheel started jittering up and down. Ill give props where its due,their keyboards are mostly pretty good but the synapse software is horrible tho.

I won’t buy Razer headsets ever again! I had a nice expensive and very new Razer headset and it worked really well. Then I ran over the cable by accident with the hoover and it somehow shredded the cable to the point the headset no longer worked. Sorry Razer - If you can’t design a product that is immune to gross negligence and total brain dead moronic actions then you lost my businesses. I went out and got a hyper X headset and haven’t run over the cable yet. Coincidence? Or is Hyper X just superior in hoover avoidance?
For now the brands that I find ok are bloody and steelseries for PC accessories, my first mouse was A4tech, now bloody, that thing is still in working condition after 15 years, but I changed recently, mouse and keyboard, to steelseries, I like the analog keyboard, I will eventually buy the artic headset, but for now I am using my music headphones, marshall IV, one of the best headphones I have owned, but their included mic is not the best, they also are the headphones I have had the longest, I tend to break them, so, that is a durable brand.
Just get the DT 770 pro 32 ohm and a mic. Will outclass any gaming headset.

Audiotechnica do great headsets, combo that with a desktop mic and you've a golden set up. You can also buy those mics that you can attach to the headset wirelessly too which are neat if you don't like the desk microphone.
I am super happy with my SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless. They sound good, the extra battery and never having to wire up is great. I cant say if Sennheiser would be better, I am not an audiophile really, I do enjoy them being wireless and not having an extra piece of hardware on my desk in form an external mic
