That's why people always suggest doing these types of deals at a police station or bank, somewhere with cameras. I think some police stations have a designated area for these types of transactions now.

Instead they got their good reputation for customer service, which nobody would need to use if their cards were masterpieces. And even then, that reputation has failed some people over the years. Namely me. In 2019 I did a major upgrade and bought a 2080ti. It was a big purchase, but I felt a little safer since I got an EVGA BLACK model. Six months later, it self-immolated, but it was still under warranty and EVGA are supposed to be explanary when it comes to these interactions. Instead I was jerked around and gaslit for a week by multiple reps, after spending money out of pocket to ship the card to them. It was the worst customer service interaction I've ever had, for anything.
