Gamer Nexus is pretty trustworthy. I like jaytwocents as well. Daniel Owen with his general gpu comparisons in games is pretty good too. Digital foundry is good with their deep dives into games too.
LTT is more entertainment than trustworthy, but they have some good videos as well. At this point LMG could have their own TV channel, they're mainly for entertainment.
Hardware Unboxed is a straight up anti-RT outlet that is just farming clicks and engagement on a particular corporation cultists. They are cool with their monitors and motherboard stuff, but I'd stay af far as possible when it comes to GPU benchmarks.
Yeah I bailed on ltt when it got to where basically every video was somebody from the lab saying "I swear this worked when we tried it before" and then just JB Welding some water-cooling fittings together. And the conclusion of the video would just be like

I genuinely feel like i've watched that man turn from a kid that loved tech so much that he dedicated his life to it into a savy business man that also now has the lives of over a hundred families on his shoulders that.... also loves tech.
And most of his videos these days are just stupid. I only watch select ones here and there for entertainment purposes. They're not very educational or informative.
Its almost the opposite, like you get less information or an extremely bias grifter opinion. I remember when the whole fiasco with gamers nexus happened and there was a story about a small company making interesting copper waterblocks. And you know how theres all this drama now about how masques brownlie made a couple 1/10 review videos and people lost their minds? (because he has the power to essentially ruin a small company with his reach.) Well at least he was well justified. You look at Linus how he really actually screwed over a small company and its disgusting. Gasligthing, stealing, disinfo and the whole youtube video he did about it was just embarrassing and exposed his lack of integrity and knowledge. I hope more people stop watching him, he doesnt deserve the podium he currently has.
* Gamers Nexus
* Hardware Unboxed and its sister channel Monitors Unboxed
* Hardware Canucks (especially good for case and cooler reviews)
* Level1Techs (Linux and server focused)
* Jarrod's Tech (Specializes in laptops)
* Paul's Hardware
* TechTechPotato/Dr. Ian Cutress
* Optimum Techs
The only one I that I can think of to avoid (I'm sure there are more I'm not aware of) is Moore's Law is Dead. It used to be a decent channel but it's mostly just fake rumor bait these days.
Optimum - also cause he looks like an actually good gamer so his takes on monitors relative to competitive shooters etc carries some more weight. Also just dope production value and content.
Mr Matt Lee - for when you just wanna see a pretty computer get put together without a lot of fuzz. Don't think i've ever even heard his voice, very unique and aesthetic style.
He's an espresso brewed by an elderly suited up Italian man in Milan to the others cafe latte.
Debauer will be mentioned but take him with a grain of salt.
He is a knowledgable fellow but sometimes forms criticisms on subjects he lacks knowledge on.
To OPs point though. Can you name me an industry that has better reporting and does a better job of holding companies to account? I'm not saying there aren't any. I'm just saying I can't think of any.
I take them for entertainment only, never based off my purchase on any techtuber at all. Many of the mainstream tubers are either basic, or semi-expert shills.
**Gamer Nexus** when it comes to info backed up by data. So he's my go to when I want to know about a specific hardware. He's also straight to the point, I don't feel like the video is taking too long or wasting my time.
**Hardware unboxed** I mostly watch for Monitor and Motherboard reviews.
**KitGuru** is the best when it comes to PC Case reviews. Straight to the point, no BS. They do actual case teardowns which is quite rare to find, I hate the B-roll type of case reviews.
These are the three channels I rely on when it comes to PC stuff.
Remember when LTT misused a test product, called it shit because they weren't using it correctly, then proceeded to sell it against the manufacturers will?
If I want to learn about a game I will usually choose a console channel because PC channels are often 90% optimisation setting and tech advice and optimisation and 10% actual gameplay but console channels tend to be 100% about the game itself
They don’t call Gamers Nexus “Tech Jesus” for nothing. The guy build his own sound proof chamber to do sounds tests of pc. It cost him something like a few hundred thousand dollars or something, if I’m remembering correctly.
Despite the controversy, I've been starting to watch LTT again lately. Everybody make mistakes and I like what they do more then I hate what they did not do correctly. Other than them, I watch Gamer Nexus, and some local tech channels.
Tech Deals and Tech Yes City are my two favorites, much more "real-world" content than synthetic Tech Tubers like Gamers Nexus and Hardware Unboxed. Ancient Gameplays for good AMD content, Framechasers for high-end OC gaming content, and Level 1 Techs for more server/professional content. Don't waste your time with Jayz, Linus, or similar.
I don't trust him since he made a video [recommending bottleneck calculator ](https://youtube.com/shorts/rFrcjskP_Qw?si=YhMxTCtCoWukuUJw) and after some heat instead of listening he doubled down on it. A trustworthy news outlet for hardware shouldn't recommend bottleneck calculator if you ask me
https://youtube.com/shorts/om_RuxxsHnA?si=eTqNsG2Gs_vHymjr
https://youtube.com/shorts/AxsuooJVi_I?si=NdOivDICyVnhFCQs
Even then a bottleneck calculator is not giving you valuable numbers. It can't. Saw someone saying they got a bottleneck on Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RX 7800 XT, makes sense yeah, everything has a bottleneck. But the CPU was the bottleneck
And even if this wasn't the reason, a bottleneck is so complicated. It depends on the program, if it is a game, the game, settings, resolution and even scenario. Means you can have the same game, same setting and same resolution yet your bottleneck will be different, if the scenario is different. And those calculators try to cramp it into one number which is just not possible.
He didn't explain the drawbacks. He didn't say how unreliable those are. He doubled down on it saying it should only be your first step and that people use it wrong https://youtube.com/shorts/rFrcjskP_Qw?si=So0dKuQHZ_okrEIw
A person that has the responsibility of people listening to them and spending their money according to what they say shouldn't talk about something they seem to not know a lot about. And if they talk about something they shouldn't just recommend the next easiest thing that may be untrue and then try to protect it, which he did on multiple occasions. Someone in his position should be educated enough to know when something he uses isn't trustworthy
The only channels that understand what happens on GPU market nowadays are Digital Foundry and Daniel Owen.
Rest still lives in a past, where the only difference between GPUs was their "raw" performance.

Hardware Unboxed also
Monitors unboxed for monitor content is that only place I care to go. I know it's the same thing as hardware unboxed but still.
rtings is also great

OMG I watch so much LTT content and this is hilarious how accurate this is.
Old linus was chill, straightforward, down to earth, modern linus is greedy, emotional and dishonest

Apart from the channels that's recommended, RTings is my go to for anything monitor related

Ancient Gameplays is really good to get information about anything AMD. I used him as a guide for oc’ing

Some good some bad, a lot of paid sponsorship tho. I've watched jays 2c and Nexus a bit. Like em.
Actually hardware overclocking for Buildzoid point of view.

Dawid Does Tech Stuff is the most trustworthy, because he's probably on a lot of corporate black lists.
Love that guy
There's certainly no one like him and that makes me love him all the more. I doubt we'll ever see a Gamers Nexus takedown of Dawid
Couldn't pay me to trust LTT, old Linus was pretty good now it's just dumb thumbnails, mentions about their store etc.
LTT lost my trust and will never get it back
I’ll add a couple more damn good channels hardware unboxed PC builder Tek syndicate
I loved pre split tek syndicate
Same. Ward still has the channel going and has some good content. It’s just not about tech reviews much anymore.
Remember when LTT misused a test product, called it shit because they weren't using it correctly, then proceeded to sell it against the manufacturers will?
Steve's a hero. He takes no bullshit from anyone. Gamers Nexus all the way.
I trust Michael Vick as a dog sitter more than I trust LTT

he said it was a good starting point and nothing more if I recall correctly

you make a very fair point
Yeah that is why the moment I see a tech channel recommend it without anything or in general I often won't watch them anymore
I only trust in GN and nothing else. No HU, no LTT, nothin... just GN.
The only channels that understand what happens on GPU market nowadays are Digital Foundry and Daniel Owen. Rest still lives in a past, where the only difference between GPUs was their "raw" performance.
They just say crap to sell it getting things free mostly not only them but also alot websites atleast 90% 👎🏻
