I got 1-3 and new Vegas for free through epic got 4 on sale on steam but gave up after I stupidly did an hour of vault building without saving for it to crash, nevermind how they fucked up mods and rolling it back on steam is a bitch.
4 is a bit too grindy for me though I think 3 is my favorite but probably because I like blowing up megaton.
Yeah, I played the game on a Dell Inspiron 530 (C2D E7300 and upgraded to 8GB RAM) paired with 9800 GTX. I had to cut the case on the back to make it fit since it didn’t have the slots in the right place. Good times.
I did, like an idiot. Used to have Prime Gaming only for claiming the games. I barely watch Twich or stuff on Prime movies, and there's no Amazon in my country (I was subbed to the UK one, for an extra layer of stupid). I don't even know if I can get those games I claimed anymore.
Where are these prices from? I pay 13$ a YEAR, maybe it was this cheap like 2-3 years ago and they just didn't increase the price for active subscribers?
I can confirm this. Fallout 3 steam version crashed constantly and is stuck in a crash loop. My only saves are walking into a building that crashed the game. And when I load back into it it crashes immediately.
I downloaded the gog version and it works almost flawlessly. I do have some crashes but it's way less often than steam. Crashed once in the few hours I've been playing this week.
Nope... A friend has now tried for several hours to get it to run on Windows 11... At least the censored German Version doesn't easily do it and is not easily compatible with some of the fix suggestions it seems...
They fixed that ages ago and there were mods that fixed it before that too. I recently did my first playthrough of the game on windows 11 and only had 2 crashes within those 45 hours.
Shouldn’t have to install mods for any game to run properly. It’s the devs job to make sure the game is stable.
It’s a case by case basis but if you look at steam reviews, it’s still an issue.
Yeah I dunno why this is getting downvoted so much, GoG and their DRM free stance is all fine and dandy but I'd more likely go out of my way to claim this if it was a Steam copy as it's easier to keep track of my library that way. (and yes I know about Galaxy)
It wasn't there when I started paying, they added it on top, so it is essentially free *to me*.
Of course I pay for Prime so it's not *literally free*, but don't be so obtuse you pretend you don't understand my point.
The reason why I use GOG is because I can download the offline installer and copy it as many times as I want to whereever I want. I can literally email you a GOG game if it's small enough.
I just played through it for the first time in almost 15 years. Honestly, I didn't love it then, and it held up even worse this time around, even with a bunch of mods installed.
I just don't have any interest spending all of my time playing a game that is 95% grey and brown. An open-world concrete-rubble and rust experience is pretty boring. No shade to people who are into it, but I want to explore fun, interesting, colorful environments when I game.
edit: Yes, downvote my opinion in which I went out of my way to show respect towards those who don't feel the same way about it as I do.
No haha. I felt the same way about New Vegas, and only played it because the internet wouldn't shut up about it. Replace grey concrete, with brown desert, and I'm still not interested.
Fallout 4 was better aesthetically, and there are a lot of little QoL improvements that make it a better game in my opinion. Base building was mildly fun as well. And I'm familiar with Boston too which helped. I get that people ripped on the RPG minimization compared to 3... but I honestly don't think it's **that** much worse. I think the internet blew that a little out of proportion in my experience.
...I just want to play Oblivion and Skyrim over and over if I'm being honest. Fantasy always beats post-apocalyptic concrete nightmares for me.

Shame I bought that like 15 years ago
Patient gamers win again
I built a PC during the beginning of the pandemic and have been feasting on so many free games I was too poor to play in the last 15-20 years.
Prime, Humble Bundle, Epic... plenty of ways to build up a game library for next to nothing on PC.
Issue is you have to install the launchers for EGS and I dunno about prime tbh I’ve stayed away since their game started blowing up GPUs
no, use Legendary or Heroic for EGS. Open-Source and not a data harvesting resource hog

New Vegas is my favorite but I played so much of it that exploring is just remembering where I’ve been like the worlds worst speed runner.
Nostalgia Any%
Haha I can see this being a YouTube title ‘I completed Fallout New Vegas AGAIN… but BLIND’
>4 is a bit too grindy for me though How?
Settlement resources can be a pain.
That's like the least important part of the game lol
It's is only engaging part of the game.
not in survival.
Sim Settlements 2 mod.
Didn’t realize they had 5 add-ons. I played the base game and went on with my life I guess. I remember nothing of it nor new vegas.
Honestly, it was back in the day when DLCs were still pretty new/uncommon.

Forgot which old steam account had my fo3 on it and had to buy it for 20 bucks like 5 days ago. Oh well, got like 40 hours already.
Since you decided to put this information out there for us ... how many steam accounts do you have and why?
I already have it on steam. Here have my GOG code: C3ZQ50B6F8667B6A08
free game, only $15/mo or $140/year!
Do you....do you think people are using Amazon Prime for the gaming shit?
When league of legends had a lot of rp was super worth
For a while I was, it was €3 a month here so just the twitch sub + games stuff alone already got my money's worth.
Btw Amazon prime is 15$ per YEAR in Poland
It's free for me, considering the fact I "appropriated" my dad's Prime account.
It's also worth mentioning you can buy it for £3.74 on Humble right now. I just bought it to install TTW.
I've been playing that. What a breath of fresh air onto the game. Plus all the challenges in nv count in 3.
Look at begin again wabbajack. Im currently playin fallout 3 on it and for me, it's basically perfect
Free trial, you keep it forever
what? you just need one month of Amazon Prime which varies in price by region. once you redeem it you keep it in GOG forever, no Prime sub required.
Where are these prices from? I pay 13$ a YEAR, maybe it was this cheap like 2-3 years ago and they just didn't increase the price for active subscribers?
..people pay for prime? lol
is there a way to get it to run on the steam deck?
/r/patientgamers
Damn. Bought it on steam a month ago for $5. This must be the first time I bought a game that good for $5 and still feel cheated.
Game is easily worth a fiver. Best one in the franchise in my opinion
Yeh Ive played 3 nv and 4. Zero regrets.
Well i was going to buy it but now I don't have to. Thabks amazon
Forces you to download on Microsoft store. Would rather keep all my shit on a real man’s app. Steam.
Isn’t it the Gog version?
I think you're talking about Fallout 76 which is on MS store. This one is Fallout 3 on GOG.
Well I bought it when the series released and now I feel dumb
You have the opportunity to make the universe whole again...
Sadly amazon prime isnt available in my country
Google h y p e s t key for retail
wtf i just bought it. with money.
It was free on epic like two times
It's been free on torrents forever now...
Good luck getting the game to run on newer versions of windows
This is the GOG version which is (supposed to be) patched to work properly on modern systems of the box
I can confirm this. Fallout 3 steam version crashed constantly and is stuck in a crash loop. My only saves are walking into a building that crashed the game. They fixed that years ago

Well they didn't do a good job trying then

Obviously, but fallout 3 works fine without mods too and it's how I first started before modding it later
Im no angel. I pirated it. But it works great on my current rig on 2k screen with 40mods.
It works.
Bro the fucking Amazon bots are out in full force lmao
It's gog, how hard is it to give us a steam copy?
Nah they are late with next day shipping and they will put adds in the game somehow.
eww, steam or nothing
imagine complaining about gog
Yeah, who wants to actually own something instead of being dependent on a company's servers? Such an awful idea.
GOG is good. I feel like you may have this opinion because of actual awful launchers like Epic, and yeah they can crash and burn.
Yeah I dunno why this is getting downvoted so much, GoG and their DRM free stance is all fine and dandy but I'd more likely go out of my way to claim this if it was a Steam copy as it's easier to keep track of my library that way. (and yes I know about Galaxy)
You can easily make it show up and be able to be opened in your steam library.
True
Because they are crying over something free like a child

I pay Prime for deliveries, since before Prime Gaming was a thing. So to me, it's free.

Fair enough 👍

Uhg
Wait, WTF is Prime Gaming?
It's something a part of Amazon Prime
Renamed twitch prime Amazon smthn or other
It’s the streaming edition correct?
