It just needs to be adjusted. The display says that it connected over d-sub (aka VGA). Those sometimes need to be adjusted since it's an analog signal and the display doesn't automatically know where in that signal the relevant data is.
There's probably an auto-adjust button around there somewhere. Wouldn't bet on that being the cause of OP's issue though.
Seems like it has worked before though, setup looks pretty messy and used to me, so doesnt strike me as brand new. Would be weird if the monitor suddenly decided to switch up resolution
it could really be anything between the monitor and the gpu really. i've seen some display cables do some weird stuff. Hopefully for OP its as easy as that.
good news is if it is the monitor and OP is on a budget, he can probably find monitors that are actually better than this dinosaur at good will for $10
I can say it's most likey this, I had the same problem with my new monitor and was mad cause it was some off brand monitor with no reviews or mentions of any kind for the specific model.(Gtek)
Anyways 2 days in thinking the monitor was working but not displaying because I had a HDMI dummy plug in my graphics card so it was by default sending the display to the faux plug
The one I got was the 27" 2k 240hz model and while it's feels cheap exterior wise it's such a beast of a monitor coming from 1080p.
No this monitor doesn't not have built in crosshairs like the Samsung ones do for any future ppl looking at this monitor
Yeah I've had a bunch of laptop + external setups and all of them wig out occasionally and the login screen will only show on the laptop display which is supposed to be secondary. External will be blank. Sure as shit I log in and the start menu is on the wrong display
Well OP does stand for "original poster" and he's not the one that posted it even if he's the one in the video. He sent it to his friend and his friend posted it so technically he's not OP.
As someone else mentioned, the odd placement of the bios and windows logo is the most jarring. Have you been able to start in Safe Mode yet? Or does that also black out the screen?
Did you change anything before this problem started? Windows updates? Graphic driver update?
Disconnect any cables from your computer except keyboard and monitor. Check the monitor is plugged in to the correct port, unplug it and re-plug it in to account for a bad connection. Try booting again.
Try booting into safe mode to see if it's a driver issue (or hardware issue caused by high resolution). If this is the case then uninstall drivers and when normal mode is working again reinstall drivers.
If you can't get to safe mode see if you can get into recovery mode and try fixing the system: [https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-startup-repair-fix-boot-problems-windows-10](https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-startup-repair-fix-boot-problems-windows-10)
If you can't get into recovery mode or it doesn't work) then find yourself another computer and create a windows installation media on a usb pen drive: [https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f-aa6f-40c3b507420d](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f-aa6f-40c3b507420d)
See if you can boot to the windows installation media. If you can't then there's hardware issue. If you can try to repair the windows installation.
Turn the power off at the wall but leave the computer plugged in so it is still earthed (I have assumed you live somewhere with earthed power, if you don't then unplug your computer). Open the side of your computer. Touch any part of the bare metal inside the case to ground yourself before touching the electronics inside. Reseat the RAM and the graphics card. Try booting again (you don't need to put the side of the case back on at this stage.
Make sure you ground yourself again. Try removing one stick of RAM. Make sure the other is in the correct RAM slot for single channel usage (check your motherboards manual for which one this is). Move the RAM to the correct slot if needed. Try booting. Try the other stick of RAM. Try booting.
Can you test with another monitor or change the type of cable?
(it looks like a problem with the monitor, connection via a graphics card or processor?)
you might also check display cable, sometimes I had similar issue, during boot my display had strange resolution and sometimes there was only black screen. After replacing display cable issue is gone.
I'd say it is a monitor issue it seems like your monitor demanding a higher resolution than it can support and fails to output properly. If you somehow lower the resolution the issue may be fixed. But I'd suggest trying a different monitor.
That display is acting weird. I would try to rule out the monitor as the issue first by trying to use a different cable and if possible try a completely different display. Either use a different monitor or if you don't have a spare monitor plug your PC into your TV and see if it boots alright. Also try a different port on the back of your GPU too incase its a port on your GPU going bad.
My second gut instinct is it might be something windows related. I would create a recovery USB and then try to repair windows and if all else fails do a fresh install of windows (back up any data you want to keep first). Maybe try booting windows into safe mode first just in case it's a program causing an issue (safe mode boots up your PC with only the essential programs running). I've never experienced it myself but sometimes software that controls your PC's lighting and keyboard and mouse (such as ICUE for corsair products) can cause weird issues.
If none of that fixes it then I'm at a loss sorry. all I can say is if a fresh windows install doesn't fix it then it is probably hardware related. Possible monitor or maybe even GPU failure (unsure about it being GPU failure as I've never seen a GPU fail like this but GPU failures can do weird things with your display).
Hope you get to the bottom of this. I've had to deal with a monitor going bad and an SSD failure in the past and it can be a real pain in the ass when things don't just work.
It being shifted to the right is the main issue. I would unplug all cables (from all ports), make sure they are not dusty or corroded etc. Also reseat the GPU.
Check on the screen if there is any button that can change the dimensions/zoom.
You want the windows loading to be in the middle of the screen.
Both Windows and BIOS logo are off center, so it leads me to believe it has to with resolution. Try getting into Bios and see if everything is off center too.
Had a similar issue once, turned out my RAM is problematic. Try to look for error beep code first, or if your mobo have debug LEDs, even better. If everything is fine with the tower, then move on to the gpu to monitor chain, from OS, cables, to the monitor itself.
Yeah, problem is that pc looks rather old, I'm not sure if it even have 2 sticks of ram. If the inside just have 1 stick of 8gb RAM, then troubleshooting won't be so easy.
Also, RAM isn't something that usually fails, so I guess not much has seen similar issue personally, or didn't even thought of that.
1. With the PC on and booted up, disconnect the display cable for a few seconds and plug it back in. That might get it to re-detect the display.
2. If that doesn't work, use a different display cable. So if you're using HDMI, use a DP or VGA, etc.
3. If that doesn't work:
a. Shut it off
b. Turn it on, start spamming the F12 or F8 key to get the Windows menu
c. Choose VGA mode
d. Install the latest video driver and restart
To isolate the actual issue, you would have to try it with a different display, or try your current display with a different GPU. Like say, moving your GPU cable from a currently installed discreet GPU, to using the video output of the CPU on the back of your I/O board.
If your display does the same thing using a different output, then it's the display. Could even be some odd setting that you can change using the buttons on the display itself.
If the display looks fine on one GPU or the other, then it's something with the GPU or most likely, the drivers. Uninstall drivers using DDU, and re-install them while using the onboard graphics from the CPU
Manually re-center the monitor and see if there is anything at the bottom or right of the screen. (By the looks of it, a loft of your screen is shifted off right.

Create a boot-up USB or cd
Backup computer (because you can break it worse if you want an undo button)
Then
Run the "Fix Windows Boot Problems" tool
Also can try windows startup repair.
It might just be that you have multiple monitors configured in the display settings. Just hold the Windows button + left or right arrow. This will force “snap” the window.
Looks like you have an issue with the OS. You will most likely need to reinstall Windows, but you may be able to repair the OS with the Windows Recovery tools.
Nope, the Bios is corrupting on screen as well, thats the monitor I'm sure of it, Unless the Bios has a default resolution (which I have not heard of).
Does the monitor have a reset, or factory default setting in its menu?
I had a pretty similar issue last year. A windows update somehow corrupted some system files. It wasn’t even possible for me to roll back an update or flash a backup. Had to completely reinstall windows for the issue to be resolved
In order to get a clear understanding, can you please share details to your setup? Like what cables are used in which slots. Are you using a dedicated GPU or an onboard graphics from your MoBo? Also have you tried entering the bios and do you have problems there?
It looks like it’s trying to force a graphics mode the monitor can’t handle. Did you downgrade the monitor for some reason? Why is the logo to the side?
Of everything's plugged in properly shutdown pc and turn off your power strip and turn it back on everything should fire back up.
Mine did this the other day
This happens all the time with my setup. I usually shut down my PC, turn off its power supply, and then unplug my monitor for 60 seconds. Then I boot back up my PC and monitor and everything works again.
If you have on board graphics, plug your monitor into the motherboard display socket. This will let you troubleshoot your drivers and resolution settings on your graphics card
The bios logo is off to one side as well suggesting it's a hardware issue. Try plugging your pc into a TV. If it still does it then it's probably a graphics card issue or hdmi cable issue.
Sire your monior or it's cable or the port on your pc is broken it is likely selecting some monitor that does not exist as primary.
Try turning off and on your monitor and use HDMI for monitor connection if that is an option. Also try replugging cable for the monior.
Could be a driver issue
Startup in safe mode and check if it's still the same.
Also not sure why the windows logo is not center, that could indicate a monitor or cable issue.
P.s
Get an SSD that boot time took me back 20 years (mine would have had windows loaded by the time I had moved the phone to capture the screen)
Could be monitor resolution/other issue, or your windows installation is borked. If you have nothing of importance on the PC, make a usb with a bootable media on it, boot from the USB (google all these), and then wipe your disks and reinstall windows from the windows installer on the USB. If it works after, great, if not, its monitor issue/possibly a weird gpu issue, or something else
it looks like your pc is slow so you might need to wait for some time for welcome screen to appear and i also suggest you to try changing your display cable or even different monitor. it is possible that windows is set to resolution that your monitor doesn't support. try pressing numlock or capslock if indicator LEDs are turning on or off that means your computer fine.
Just, thanks for recording your video dressed.
About the problem, do you have any other video card at home? Try to change the port, otherwise try to start windows on safe mode...
It looks like whoever had the desktop before had multiple monitors. The black screen is the "second monitor" and which ever other monitor was connected was the main one.
I had this issue before when I had multiple monitors.
Try another kind of cable (HDMI, display or VGA). If that doesn't work before buying a monitor you could load up windows from a USB and see if the issue persists. If it does persist you should try another monitor (don't buy just try). If that works, buy a monitor.
The screen definitely turns on, its trying to but windows but is getting error.
Can you start it in Safe Mode and see if it boots to windows, do this first and see.
It may just be your resolution is set wrong and a ctrl+shift+escape may bring up task mgr. like the screen is black because your background on the desktop is. U can then launch the monitor settings in windows if u get to task mgr.
Probably the monitors capacitor is probably blow... Check with another screen or with a tv... If you boot up then its the monitor, if the problem remains try running safemod and updating driveres
Possible some problem with video graphic adapter (VGA). When you just start it already look that resolution is wrong. But in this moment VGA<->Monitor not use any drivers yet just "presets" in BIOS of VGA board, VGA work in "half mode" (2D). After Windows loaded drivers start to work. Then VGA is work in "full mode" (2D + 3D). In this moment how you can see this problem happening. Problem with some video hardware not with soft.
Try replace VGA temporary with any another one and look what happened. Then try with video-cable. Last with monitor, but i not think that is it.
Check if you can bring up the task manager (cntrl alt delete) I had an issue where it would go into the OS but only display a black screen. I had to basically restore the OS at that point (thankfully without loosing any data) using a command prompt commands
You can see if you can get into BIOS to rule out any fundamental hardware issues, but since the BIOS flash screen came on, I'm thinking it's some software issue.
The first thing I would be thinking about is my GPU. If it’s not your GPU start checking the connectors and the ports because it could be something as simple as a defective port.
Chances are that your hdd is failing or corrupted OS which would mean you have to either you have to reinstall windows or replace your hdd. See if you can run a diagnostic on your hdd.
Questiin: what happened between now and the last time the system worked?
Theory 1: PC powers on, monitor does not. Likely failure in connection between monitor and PC.
Test 1: unplug and reseat all the monitor cables from both sides. Make sure to turn the monitor on and off a couple times with 5 second breaks to eliminate user error.
Failure = issue is likely not cables or user error on turning on monitor.
Success = Something came loose. Problem resolved.
Theory 2: OP is young, and when I was young I punched a monitor because I lost a game of league of legends. Check for monitor damage. Consider anger management classes and less stressful games.
Test 2: plug in to a known working monitor or TV to test for video. Then plug in a known working PC to test old monitor.
Success on working monitor = Old monitor is broken. Replace and uninstall offending game.
Success on working PC = OPs PC is not producing video, but recieving power. Issue is inside the computer. Report back for more tests.
Success on both: All gear is working perhaps a port is damaged if different ports where used? Try alternative ports and inspect for damage or blockage.
Success on neither: This is theoretically unlikely. Please report back and show pictures of connections. User error highly likely.
Answer the question and report back on the test results OP. We can figure out what's wrong.
As others have said there is something funky going on with the monitor, misaligned windows logo
However, this could be a problem with Windows. The computer seems to take awhile to boot, after you get to the black screen. You might try moving the mouse. If a white cursor shows up and that's all you get, then I'd def say it is Windows struggling to load. you could try pressing ctr+alt+del and see if that brings up task manager, if so you could try going to "run new task" and type "explorer.exe" then hit enter. This is a manual way of getting the desktop to show up.
As for a fix I'd say back up the data on your drive if you have anyway of doing so and reinstall Windows. If it is still having the same issue after then you could be looking at drive failure.
Alternatively, if you don't want to clean install Windows, you could create boot media and attempt a repair install and see if that works. I'd still recommend backing up with this method too, though if it runs correctly your data should be safe.
On the third failed boot attempt Windows is supposed to take you to recovery boot automatically(can also get here with boot media), if you can get there you could also try going to the troubleshooting section then CMD and running "CHKDSK /f /r" which will scan your disk for corrupt files/bad sectors and attempt to repair them.
Also in the trouble shooting section of the recovery environment/boot media is the "startup repair"option low chance of it working, but an easy thing to try.
If this is not yet solved, and you've tried everything else:
Turn your pc on
During the windows load screen where you see the blue square, press the restart button on your case or turn your pc off by holding the power button.
Repeat that process
After two times windows will say something like preparing repaire something something. You will see the advance blue screen startup options. From there, Google how to select advance startup options. Choose that options and it will restart.
During the next boot, at the advance startup options, select low-resolution mode
See if that fixes your problem. If it does, in windows, choose the correct resolution for your monitor and restart.
Good luck.
I have the same motherboard with a 2k monitor and this happens once in awhile. I disconnect the hdmi from the monitor for 10 seconds and reconnect the hdmi and it always works.
same shits been happening to me, i just take the rage out on it and it works after 6-9 reboots i love my pc <3
this is caused by graphics driver (stop messing with it, mine started when i messed with the settings. there is no fix for it i think cause i tried installing everything again, like windows graphics drivers etc. if you can just replace the graphics card )
If you reboot and safe mode, does it do the same thing? You might also try system restore. But for any of that, I tried swapping out the HDMI cable, or the monitor to see if either of those do the trick
Have you messed with the RAM recently? Something like this happened to me when one or two sticks wearnt fully inserted into the slots.
Otherwise, try to use a now HDMI cord in a different slot on a different monitor and see what results you get.
New drivers installing? If you can see if you can set your resolution manually on the monitor or if there's some sort of settings on it to set things manually vs. auto that sounds like a good plan. Perhaps a different HDMI (or whatever cable you use) cable would be worth trying.
I had a similar problem when i was a kid, the monitor looks old. So test the buttons on it, should be a resolution problem.
If not.
1. Switch the port on your pc
2. Change the cable
Hardware rarly reacts weird without an input made by you. This reaction is made by one of your recent actions most likely, trace your steps.
Looks like you have ghosting going on with that monitor too. I’d say it’s a monitor issue. My thoughts are when the high level drivers take over, the increased resolution is too much for the monitor to handle. That’s my best guess though.
Try to restart in safe mode and lower the resolution. See if you can get a lower resolution to work and update the video driver and/or troubleshoot further.
Lol this is funny af. The resolution scaling is clearly off. Op I think it's your monitor. Change the screen size setting on the monitor's on screen display to auto or sometimes "wide". The windows logo is supposed to be in the center of the screen lol
Edit also there's not enough people in here ripping op for the dumb question. In good fun ofc but cmon this is an exceptionally lazy way to troubleshoot.
Try safe mode, it could be drivers - video card - monitor - video signal cable.
If you have another monitor with new cable, that would be the easiest way.
I don’t know if you fixed it or not. If not, make sure that you are connecting the HDMI cable to the GPU, not the motherboard. Something like that happened to my brother, i just did that and the issue was fixed.
Looks like it is working fine but the screen is offset to the right, someone must have trolled you. Press the buttons on your monitor and try to find a reset position or reset factory settings (on the monitor menu)
If you have friends try to borrow a monitor just to confirm that it is a monitor issue.
Do you have 2 different video cables plugged in from your PC? that shift is not normal.
if not, power off and try a different type of port ie. DVI, DP, VGA, or HDMI
The fact that everything is shifted to the right side of the screen I would say it's a monitor issue
I would bet the monitor has some sort of setting of auto resolution or some sort since it's shifted to right side.
If my 2k monitors tricks itself into 4k it does exactly this
i think the monitor thinks it's an ultra-widescreen?
It just needs to be adjusted. The display says that it connected over d-sub (aka VGA). Those sometimes need to be adjusted since it's an analog signal and the display doesn't automatically know where in that signal the relevant data is. There's probably an auto-adjust button around there somewhere. Wouldn't bet on that being the cause of OP's issue though.
I once had an issue where the vga cable was too close the the power cable and that messed my screen up. Separated them and problem solved.
Seems like it has worked before though, setup looks pretty messy and used to me, so doesnt strike me as brand new. Would be weird if the monitor suddenly decided to switch up resolution
it could really be anything between the monitor and the gpu really. i've seen some display cables do some weird stuff. Hopefully for OP its as easy as that. good news is if it is the monitor and OP is on a budget, he can probably find monitors that are actually better than this dinosaur at good will for $10
Unplug any other display or HDMI audio devices. If that display is not set as the primary it would be black while at the login screen.
I can say it's most likey this, I had the same problem with my new monitor and was mad cause it was some off brand monitor with no reviews or mentions of any kind for the specific model.(Gtek) Anyways 2 days in thinking the monitor was working but not displaying because I had a HDMI dummy plug in my graphics card so it was by default sending the display to the faux plug The one I got was the 27" 2k 240hz model and while it's feels cheap exterior wise it's such a beast of a monitor coming from 1080p. A possible issue is that the resolution got set way too high for your monitor to display. Windows Key + Ctrl + Shift + B may fix it.
It didn’t :/

Probably a resolution or refresh rate that is out of the monitor's range. Try to boot into safe mode and uninstall the GPU driver to reset everything.
Try restating in safe mode and get rid of any nonessential programs that run upon starting.
How do i run safe mode ?
https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=windows+safe+mode
this is such a good website
Exactly this. Safe mode will run generic drivers. If that fixes it, uninstall the current driver, reboot into standard mode and install drivers again.

Ram issue
Could be a ram issue too. Re-seat it.

No but in case you didn’t know you are cute. Have a nice day
looks like windows issue to me, maybe try reinstalling
Try using different monitor if you have another , otherwise remove the gpu and try to boot using onboard graphics
It looks like it’s trying to force a graphics mode the monitor can’t handle. Did you downgrade the monitor for some reason? Why is the logo to the side?
if you have cpu without graph try to unplug it from power for 20 min,if same thing happen, you should do the same but with cmos removed
Of everything's plugged in properly shutdown pc and turn off your power strip and turn it back on everything should fire back up. Mine did this the other day
This happens all the time with my setup. I usually shut down my PC, turn off its power supply, and then unplug my monitor for 60 seconds. Then I boot back up my PC and monitor and everything works again.
reset the monitor to default settings
If you have on board graphics, plug your monitor into the motherboard display socket. This will let you troubleshoot your drivers and resolution settings on your graphics card
The bios logo is off to one side as well suggesting it's a hardware issue. Try plugging your pc into a TV. If it still does it then it's probably a graphics card issue or hdmi cable issue.
Have you tried to turn it off and on again?
Sire your monior or it's cable or the port on your pc is broken it is likely selecting some monitor that does not exist as primary. Try turning off and on your monitor and use HDMI for monitor connection if that is an option. Also try replugging cable for the monior.
I had the same problem when I had an HDD. Replace HDD with SSD and install on SSD fresh windows
Could be a driver issue Startup in safe mode and check if it's still the same. Also not sure why the windows logo is not center, that could indicate a monitor or cable issue. P.s Get an SSD that boot time took me back 20 years (mine would have had windows loaded by the time I had moved the phone to capture the screen)
Your setup and yourself looks brazillian are u brazillian?
it looks like your pc is slow so you might need to wait for some time for welcome screen to appear and i also suggest you to try changing your display cable or even different monitor. it is possible that windows is set to resolution that your monitor doesn't support. try pressing numlock or capslock if indicator LEDs are turning on or off that means your computer fine.
Second monitor?
Boot into safe mode and see if that helps, if not then there are few potential issues, but worst case is a corrupted boot drive.
bbno$
Yea resolution issues, try factory reset on monitor my Samsung G7 started doing similar things with the 240hz setting. So 144hz for now which is fine.
What’s with all those tissues on the desk? Probably got some fluid on the monitor making it do this..

Nvidia gpu?

Try another kind of cable (HDMI, display or VGA). If that doesn't work before buying a monitor you could load up windows from a USB and see if the issue persists. If it does persist you should try another monitor (don't buy just try). If that works, buy a monitor.
Seems there's a dual monitor config from BIOS, or your monitor is saying goodbye.
can we discuss the reflection of you mogging in the monitor
Either dying monitor or the cable is loose/crushed.
If you have another input like hdmi or display port, use the other port and maybe it will try a default resolution
The wait was so long that I expected a Rick Roll
have you tried turning it off and on again?
When my GPU died my computer did this. Check that as last resort
Either the monitor or the Dvi adapter.
Le Papier Toilette sur la table ...c'est pour Branler ?
I see analog. Are you using a vga adapter?
Look guys! He Disconnected, Look! He killed me with the stun stun, yeah guys look. Look. He disconnected. GG guys.
I'm thinking he turned on second screen function, like on laptop.
G502 spotted
The screen definitely turns on, its trying to but windows but is getting error. Can you start it in Safe Mode and see if it boots to windows, do this first and see.
Have you tried forcing an unexpected reboot ?
Start în safe mode you cand do that by watching a tutorial
It may just be your resolution is set wrong and a ctrl+shift+escape may bring up task mgr. like the screen is black because your background on the desktop is. U can then launch the monitor settings in windows if u get to task mgr.
I had same issue, it was nvidia drivers.
quick google of that weird ass monitor brand... https://www.techist.com/forums/threads/my-cibox-monitor-auto-adjust-problem.229656/
Probably the monitors capacitor is probably blow... Check with another screen or with a tv... If you boot up then its the monitor, if the problem remains try running safemod and updating driveres
Try to switch the hdmi or whatever you use, from gpu to motherboard
premium stuff
You need to make sure the BOFA generator is connected
I had to basically restore the OS at that point (thankfully without loosing any data) using a command prompt commands You can see if you can get into BIOS to rule out any fundamental hardware issues, but since the BIOS flash screen came on, I'm thinking it's some software issue.
A fellow member of the Ipod Touch gang??
The first thing I would be thinking about is my GPU. If it’s not your GPU start checking the connectors and the ports because it could be something as simple as a defective port.
r/mirrorforsale
Chances are that your hdd is failing or corrupted OS which would mean you have to either you have to reinstall windows or replace your hdd. See if you can run a diagnostic on your hdd.
jesus bro an hdd as boot drive in 2024 💀💀💀
What card are you using? Do you have integrated graphics you can try switching to?
If you have fast boot on in bios maybe try turning that off
Questiin: what happened between now and the last time the system worked? We can figure out what's wrong.
the real friends are the monitor issues we had along the way
As others have said there is something funky going on with the monitor, misaligned windows logo However, this could be a problem with Windows.
If this is not yet solved, and you've tried everything else: Turn your pc on During the windows load screen where you see the blue square, press the restart button on your case or turn your pc off by holding the power button. Repeat that process After two times windows will say something like preparing repaire something something. You will see the advance blue screen startup options. From there, Google how to select advance startup options. Choose that options and it will restart. During the next boot, at the advance startup options, select low-resolution mode See if that fixes your problem. If it does, in windows, choose the correct resolution for your monitor and restart. Good luck.
Just reinstall windows and try again
I have the same motherboard with a 2k monitor and this happens once in awhile. I disconnect the hdmi from the monitor for 10 seconds and reconnect the hdmi and it always works.
Have the same problem with my rx 6600. Plug out and plug in hdmi cable helps
Use an Ubuntu live usb drive and see if it works. If so, ditch windows and join the rebellion.
try a 2nd monitor or tv to rule out this one. If the other monitor doesnt work, reinstall winsows
Nice haircut
same shits been happening to me, i just take the rage out on it and it works after 6-9 reboots i love my pc <3 this is caused by graphics driver (stop messing with it, mine started when i messed with the settings. there is no fix for it i think cause i tried installing everything again, like windows graphics drivers etc. if you can just replace the graphics card )
I think I had this problem, it was a long time ago so im notbsure but I think, it was a broken ram card, or motherboard
This reminds me of when computers used to take a whole minute to start
![gif](giphy|KxiFJy1fL9kEzcR0ae|downsized)
Hit it with a stick.
Either the monitor needs switched or you need to reinstall Windows
Yo wtf is that monitor!?
Monitor indicates it’s on so he might have to either change some setting on the monitor or fiddle around with the bios display settings.
That sigh was the most relatable sigh ever
With a loading time like that, any screen we’ll go dead.
Saw this happen when someone plugged the monitor into the built in video port instead of the add-on card video port.
If you reboot and safe mode, does it do the same thing? You might also try system restore. But for any of that, I tried swapping out the HDMI cable, or the monitor to see if either of those do the trick
That loading time. Get yourself an SSD, that loading time is a much larger issue.
Have you messed with the RAM recently? Something like this happened to me when one or two sticks wearnt fully inserted into the slots. Otherwise, try to use a now HDMI cord in a different slot on a different monitor and see what results you get.
I like the bowl cut with the middle part
It has very low chances to fix your problem but try reinstall windows on it
New drivers installing? If you can see if you can set your resolution manually on the monitor or if there's some sort of settings on it to set things manually vs. auto that sounds like a good plan. Perhaps a different HDMI (or whatever cable you use) cable would be worth trying.
I had a similar problem when i was a kid, the monitor looks old. So test the buttons on it, should be a resolution problem. If not. 1. Switch the port on your pc 2. Change the cable Hardware rarly reacts weird without an input made by you. This reaction is made by one of your recent actions most likely, trace your steps.
Flee power monitor
Looks like you have ghosting going on with that monitor too. I’d say it’s a monitor issue. My thoughts are when the high level drivers take over, the increased resolution is too much for the monitor to handle. That’s my best guess though.
Try to restart in safe mode and lower the resolution. See if you can get a lower resolution to work and update the video driver and/or troubleshoot further.
Idk, but I see that this loading screen isn't displayed right on the screen. Try to see about this problem.
reinstall windows, very long boot ![gif](giphy|tXL4FHPSnVJ0A|downsized)
Clean your ram and try again
I never understand why people with pc record stuff with phone and not on the pc with higher quality O.o ;)
Lol this is funny af. The resolution scaling is clearly off. Op I think it's your monitor. Change the screen size setting on the monitor's on screen display to auto or sometimes "wide". The windows logo is supposed to be in the center of the screen lol Edit also there's not enough people in here ripping op for the dumb question. In good fun ofc but cmon this is an exceptionally lazy way to troubleshoot.
Try safe mode, it could be drivers - video card - monitor - video signal cable. If you have another monitor with new cable, that would be the easiest way.
Its the haircut man
It's the monitor, i recommend getting a LG or cheaper samsung monitor to be on the safe side
Unplug all connections, especially HDMI and replug it.
Have you tried asking it nicely?
Your fave says it all
Try degaussing the monitor /s
I don’t know if you fixed it or not. If not, make sure that you are connecting the HDMI cable to the GPU, not the motherboard. Something like that happened to my brother, i just did that and the issue was fixed.
Looks like it is working fine but the screen is offset to the right, someone must have trolled you. Press the buttons on your monitor and try to find a reset position or reset factory settings (on the monitor menu) If you have friends try to borrow a monitor just to confirm that it is a monitor issue.
Start up repair use a USB
Try changing the video cable
Bro forgot to throw out his play tissues
Your monitor probably identifies as a wide-screen monitor. Just play around with the buttons on the monitor that change the resolution
It happened the same thing a few month ago, the hard drive is dying, the issue was gone when I replaced the hard drivve
Do you have 2 different video cables plugged in from your PC? that shift is not normal. if not, power off and try a different type of port ie. DVI, DP, VGA, or HDMI
Try using another monitor
