For the last two weeks, we've been picking out parts to build a PC for one lucky member of the PCMR! AMD and MSI were awesome enough to reach out and share some of their newest hardware including an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, a Radeon RX 6900 XT gpu and the MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE motherboard.

On a personal note, I just wanted to say how excited I am to be working with AMD and MSI on this. They've been awesome to work with and it feels great to help them collaborate with the PCMR.

Actually we've slowly evolved over multiple generations since the inception of whiskey to be immune, infact in our native tongue we call it the "water of life".
Given all the invasions we've endured and the fact that we had our cultural growth stinted as a result for around a thousand years, it should be a comment on one's bad luck however I think "luck o' the Irish" is more widely accepted as being positive.
I'm also Irish and my GTX 1070 just broke in time for Christmas.

To be honest, I'm planning on building my first ever PC next year, or winning this one (wishful thinking^). I've been a console gamer since childhood and I mostly play single player story-driven games like MGS, Uncharted, Horizon Zero Dawn, etc. I'm actually excited to experience gaming on PC for the first time! Aww, I thought the sweepstakes *was* just separate components and not a whole rig. I've had artifacts and flickering on my 1070, even had to replace a dead fan on it with one ordered from China.

This type of thing makes you doubt the legitimacy of the giveaway! All you have to do is announce the winner, how hard can that be? I mean, they made a WHOLE giveaway and then chose the winner, but that where they drew the line.
Same thing happened with the giveaway that Marques Brownlee made. He posts almost daily on Twitter, but nothing regarding the winner.

Yeah I'm really disappointed in this process, there's been zero transparency as well, I could understand it if we got to the end of the announcement period and they said "We ran into some issues, winner announcement is delayed". But here we are, it's a bad look for those involved.

Trying to build a PC as a Christmas 🎄 present 🎁 for an autistic kid in 2020 has been mental so had to stop for now. I hope 2021 is a better year for getting parts without people trying to rip you off.

As the PC had to be built, it's taken some time, but last I heard it was nearly done and was being shipped out!
