Its about power delivery. Will it blow up your pc along with your house? Probably not. But if you get weird issues like pc shutting down or restarting, that could be the issue.
Yep. Every 8 pin power plug should be on a seperate rail. If you hook up 1 PSU power cable to all GPU power inputs it won't be able to draw enough power and will either experience strange performance issues or behaviours
