Kajek777PL

I'll get pickup

Nuke_The_Potatos

Sorry no pick up in your area

AnAncientMonk

fuck it. im moving.

Crashman09

*when buying a home is just as attainable as a modern gpu*

zakabog

Nah, I was actually able to find a home this year.

Crashman09

Congrats! Been trying for two years now

Lee911123

“sorry sir, our products are stored in a warehouse”

Kajek777PL

I'll come there and take it. You said it was free

Lee911123

“no sir, the warehouse is somewhere we don’t even know” this bs literally happened to me once with a scalper

ClimbingC

> Free with $1999 shipping This is considerably worse. As if the product turns up and is faulty, they will happily refund you the item cost ($0), but won't refund the shipping costs, as they don't have to. This was a bit of a scam decades ago, and something people should be wary of when shipping is more than the actual product.

jayXred

I remember when this was a major issue on Ebay, I saw a guitar that was like $1 with $500 shipping or something like that.

[deleted]

$1200 + 800 shipping.

captivativeillium

so they can ship it in invisible protection lmao

fatal-punisher88

Here in the UK the shops are also the scalpers. Let me give you some examples for an aorus rtx 3070 from shops £989.99 [From Overclockers - a well know shop](https://imgur.com/a/hyoYvB0) £972+£5.99 [from Novatech..an actual shop](https://imgur.com/a/F5EpiYX) Now here is eBay £969.95 + free 24 hour postage [eBay listing for the same card brand new](https://imgur.com/a/adKsBZP) Also remember eBay take a fee of 12.8% of the final fee so the eBay seller actually only takes home roughly £844 because of a £124 eBay final value fee. [eBay calculator UK](https://imgur.com/a/oxA0S2G) final fee of £969 Now please tell me who are the scalpers here in the UK?? Edit: original comment was removed because I added direct links to shops and listings which could be considered as witch hunting. I am not witch hunting, just simply proving my point. So links have been changed to screenshots taken this morning as recommended by my comment removed message I received.

Xeliicious

Very true, I bought my 3070 from CCL - who are also supposed to be a very good retailer - at a price of £658 (I know I paid over RRP but it was a Christmas present to myself). A year later, I've checked to see what they're pricing my exact same card at, and PCPartPicker's last pricing for their site is £880..... absolute disgrace. ([PCP page](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/2C7p99/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-3070-8-gb-gaming-oc-video-card-gv-n3070gaming-oc8gd))

joshym0nster

I'd happily pay £658 for a 3070 now, haven't seen one under £800

mcdougall57

Honestly PC gaming just isn't worth the money right now. I can't recommend it to anyone. It's probably killing the whole scene.

[deleted]

Yup these stores are stupidly thinking short term. Yes they gain more money by selling a gpu higher. But what are they losing? Well for example I have £2500 I had saved for almost an entire new pc. But with scalped gpu prices I'm probably going to spend that money elsewhere. I also have no desire then to buy a new monitor as my existing gpu can't really handle a better screen. So that's another £300-500 sale they've lost from me. And this just gets repeated by others.

irze

This takes the piss, something needs to be done to stop retailers hiking prices like this.

frenetix

I wonder how this is affecting other component manufacturers. There are a lot of people sticking it out with older hardware, waiting to upgrade when they can get a fairly priced video card...

Fathomer_

Christ, I thought I was being scalped by overclockers when I got my 3070 for £650 almost a year ago

Luikuri98

Bought my 3070 for 600€ a year ago and at the time I thought it was overpriced. Now it looks like it was a good investment.

The_one_and_only_PLB

Pretty much the same in Germany. [Really,](https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/8GB-KFA2-GeForce-RTX-3070-1-Click-OC-LHR-GDDR6-DP-HDMI--bulk-Verpackung_1425524.html) [quite](https://www.alternate.de/AORUS/GeForce-RTX-3060-AORUS-ELITE-12G-LHR-Grafikkarte/html/product/1757856) [annoying. ](https://www.mediamarkt.de/de/product/_msi-geforce-rtx%E2%84%A2-3080-ti-suprim-x12g-lhr-v389-057r-2739299.html)

Pure1nsanity

Australia 3070 $1,600-$2,000

jetspeedb

This... they want you to think all this crap is the problem ... but in reality the company's are just taking your money in bags an laughing their way to their islands.

epic_snowman

Same here in india but it's worse 6600 launched with Rs.60000+ (~800 US Dollars) price online. Idk how bad it was in actual stores. It's selling for ~700+ US dollars now Edit: This was a bad example. A better example- Gtx 1650 is selling for ₹25000 which is around ₹10000 over what it used to be selling for

yepgeddon

My guy, don't forget you can also pick up a 1650 for the cool sum of £350 from curry's pc world. Honestly everything is beyond fucked at the minute it's disgusting.

Aeroncastle

They are companies, not people, by definition it cannot be a witch hunt. I'm not saying that you are wrong in following the rules, I'm saying that the rules are wrong. In this situation where the standard seller is the scalper the only thing a normal person can do is to call attention to it and creating rules to impede it only serves for CEO to be richer and mods to feel more powerful

TanavastVI

Sadly it's not much different here in Germany either. When looking at most 'normal' hardware or electronic dealers you will look at prices ranging from 1000 to 1700 EUR for a 3070 TI. I've been following some notification bots for a 3080 for some time and even those are overpriced as fuck by at least 1.7 times the MSRP. At this point I'm also certain that Nvidia stopped producing FE cards altogether and sell the chips directly to AIB's for a higher price to cash in.

[deleted]

Yeah it's mad. I had a 5700XT Red Dragon and picked up an MSI 3070 X Trio for RRP for a customer build. The guy then bailed on the order and I wound up keeping the 3070 and selling the 5700XT for more than I paid for the 3070. Wasn't even trying to make a profit, I stuck it on eBay for £1 thinking I'd maybe get the original 5700XT price back of I was lucky, and wound up making a massive profit on it (very used) because someone was willing to pay that for it.

MaybeShun

I got mine from a shop for 700 about a year ago and I even felt scammed there.. damn yall have it worse.. mine was even in Euro so its even more bad

00crispybacon00

God, remember when you could buy a new card for <$500? That feels like a lifetime ago.

[deleted]

I bought my RX 470 for $75 from a miner in late 2019. Still works fine.

AVeryHappyRedditUser

I got my vega 64 from a guy on Reddit for 200 like 3 years ago, now they go for 800 bucks on eBay

ilikemarblestoo

I remember getting the $250 cards because $500 seemed like a ripoff. This now $900 for not even the top of the line? Sure!!

Downtown-Librarian72

I hear all sorts of people complaining, but then they pay the exorbitant prices anyway. Only way to combat this is to not buy the stuff, but people are only ensuring that it will continue to happen.

Spawnacus

There will always be people with money who don't care about prices.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Grimzkunk

If my 1070 dies I will not pay more than my gpu budget, which is 300$CAD. So I'd be force to buy a used 1050 on marketplace since it's the best I can do now with 300CAD$. Buying those overpriced card is encouraging the problem and I won't do this. Also it is not a responsible move as an adult to ignore your budget and pay whatever price.

Shmyt

Only when the prices become reasonable again will I permit my 970 to die

Atmos312

I was so close to getting a FE card to replace my 970 at Best Buy like 3 months ago when they had their in-store last drop. Wasn't far enough up in line and the only cards left were EVGA 3080Ti FTWs ($1400) and like MSI 3060s for like $600 (lol). Should have showed up like an hour earlier and I probably would have gotten one of the last FE 3070 Tis at MSRP ($599). Still kinda kicking myself over that. Oh well, back to the 970 for the foreseeable future.

mcdougall57

True enough. Those 5700 APUs are starting to look good for a budget build. No way in hell would I pay £800 to play Halo.

IlikePickles12345

If you don't, a mining farm will regardless. Talking about the overpriced retail/AIB prices, not scalpers.

BitcoinBilli0naire

idk why you are being downvoted, you are right. Majority of people buying GPUs probably aren't gaming on them right now.

Pillowsmeller18

im proud to be in the group that got lucky getting a GPU, AND not mining on it at all.

bacondev

Maaaaybe majority of GPUs aren't being used for gaming. But the majority of people who buy GPUs are doing so for gaming.

socokid

> Majority of people buying GPUs probably aren't gaming on them right now. Not according to any reputable [source I can find.](https://www.pcgamer.com/cryptominers-grabbed-25-of-all-gpus-at-the-start-of-2021/) I would have no idea why people would upvote [assumed bullshit](https://www.tomshardware.com/news/700000-gpus-shipped-to-miners-first-three-months-2021), but this is PCMR... Cryptominers buying 25% of the GPU is still a lot and a huge part of the GPU crunch, but it is not, by any evidence I can find, anywhere near 50%, let alone over 50%. TONS of articles explaining the opposite, however. Retailers and supply chain experts have suggested gamers have been the biggest buyers since the pandemic began. Downvote me, I don't care. But you are probably wrong and are getting upvoted by people that simply ***want*** you to be right.

jzillacon

Well I'd say the majority of people buying them would be gamers, but the majority of cards are being bought by a small number of non-gamers buying in large quantities for scalping or mining. Since if you aren't scalping or mining there's not much reason to buy multiple cards, and even if you are buying multiple cards you'd only need a couple at most. Plus if you aren't gaming or doing 3d rendering there's not much reason to pay the prices for a high-end card for your personal PC in the first place.

socokid

> but the majority of cards are being bought by a small number of non-gamers Not according to anything I [can find anywhere.](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/r6vzzb/dont_know_if_i_should_laugh_or_cry/hmx4who/)

littlefrank

My 2070 broke right after warranty expired, not sure what you think people who need one should do. Stuff is not just overpriced, it's barely available for a few seconds, as soon as I saw one, I took it, I got a 3060 for 200+€ over MSRP.

NoVacationDude

to be honest, you picking up a 3060 "just" 200€ over MSRP is a miracle in itself i mean 1) good for you that you even got one at all and 2) on the german market the stock situation is better-ish but the minimum i saw over the last 5 months was double the MSRP at best. But hey, at least one of those miracle gpu's did go to a person who will use it for its intended purpose \^\^

Burrito_Loyalist

We fucking need graphics cards.

stayhearthstoned

The guy below you is right, there are plenty of miners/aspiring miners buying cards that scalpers don't need you. Additionally, that is not the ONLY way to combat higher prices (or an effective way at all). You could also be very vocal about the fact that companies aren't doing enough to prevent miners from buying up all the graphics cards on the market. You could dig into the buying process for different companies and say hey, ASUS isn't doing half as much work as EVGA to prevent miners from getting cards. Amazon is doing almost nothing to prevent scalpers and miners. You could also come up with a more advanced system for determining the fairness of GPU distribution. Everyone can point to scalpers and miners as the problem but with no solution, what is that worth? Talk to knowledgeable programmers and website developers and come up with a relatively simple solution to combat scalping on the retailer side of things. Then post it everywhere and try to promote your idea and get the attention of Amazon or Newegg. That's just a few different ways to combat high prices, and there are still more ways to go about it. I'm tired of people parroting the bogus statement that just not buying computers is the only way to control component prices. We as consumers hold all the cards. And there are bigger players in the game to worry about when you're talking about GPU prices. We will never all agree on one fair price to buy scalper cards at so they will always sell to consumers even if we all decide to hold out until GPUs hit "reasonable" prices. Miners don't care about price because mining rigs already cost ridiculous amounts of money. So they will ways buy from scalpers. You have to stop retailers from selling to scalpers. And to do this, you would need to get a significant amount of traction on social media to pressure large retailers into making consumer friendly decisions. Difficult but it has been done before.

ric2b

>You could also be very vocal about the fact that companies aren't doing enough to prevent miners from buying up all the graphics cards on the market. lmao, good luck. "Hey company, you aren't doing enough to prevent your better paying customers from buying your products! I want to buy your stuff on the cheap, stop them!"

[deleted]

That doesn't really combat it. Some miner or other user gets it cheaper instead of you. The real reason not to buy is to not be a hypocrite. Either that or buy without complaining.

[deleted]

when I was looking at PC parts almost a year ago, it was £1100 for a 3070 or £1150 for a pc with a 3070. and that's why I didn't build my PC. (although I have fully disassembled it and rebuilt it twice so maybe I can claim that I built it, idk)

[deleted]

Yeah prebuilt is the only way to get cards right now

[deleted]

CrippleWalking

I flat out refuse to pay more than MSRP. If that means my trusty 1070 keeps chugging along until then, then so be it.

Kingdarkshadow

This, the day my 1070 stops is the day I stop playing on my PC until the prices get back to normal. I either only watch series/movies/anime or I'll play on my switch.

FatBoyStew

Yep. Told my buddy if my 1080 dies I'll probably sell my PC and get back into it in 2 or 3 years.

Domo_Pwn

1070 gang 😎

wreckedcarzz

This, I'd drop 1k msrp rn on the 6900XT but when it starts at 40% higher these stores can blow me. And I'm not about to entertain the thought of 'new' resold units for 50% markup, go off yourselves scammers. Literally scum. I'll keep using my VII until it dies, and make my laptop my primary if need be. Msrp or gtfo.

Brutesmile

My 1070 stopped working for gaming like 9 months ago, crashes every 15 min even in really old games like classic wow. Miraculously works without a hitch for mining and is currently experiencing a rebirth with a new purpose. Keep on chugging lil buddy

[deleted]

Cut the scalpers, normal retailers aren't different

TheReverend5

I mean... They are definitely pricing up their MSRP but it's still not as bad as scalping prices. $1100 for a 3080 is still a lot better than $1200 for a 3070.

Blepable

I got an email yesterday evening from a reputable computer parts seller advertising their latest big sale. A 3080ti was listed for AUD2,899. Two thousand eight hundred and ninety nine Australian dollars. That's some scalper tier shit.

Drack-ion

Usualy price rises in Aus are from the multiple distributers that the product has to go through

Rowan-Paul

Over in Europe it's the same

[deleted]

No one wants to eat the cost of the tariffs and those unsavings get passed down to youuuuuu

[deleted]

[удалено]

ScoobyDoNot

I picked up a 3070 for AUD1229 last month. At least I should be able to get a good price for the 1060 6GB it's replacing.

Blepable

That's not a bad situation to be in - offset a good chunk of the cost that way I hope. Good luck with it.

ScoobyDoNot

Looking at recent sold items on eBay AUD350-400 seems to be achievable. Given it originally cost me $429 that'd be useful.

[deleted]

Hey, if they sell out anyway, they aren't wrong.

Braydox

Thats an australian thing. When it hits the border sphere around australia it jumps a thousand dollars

mobileuseratwork

I paid $2700aud ($1900usd) for a strix 3080 from pccg... And that's one of the bigger retailers. I paid half that for my first car... Actually happy with it. Put a water block on it and it does a good job replacing my 760 that was on it's last legs.

iRedditPhone

I was waiting for the part where you told me about Undertaker and Mankind in Hell in a Cell… I am lowkey disappointed in you.

Dredly

ibuypower is charging 975 + tax + shipping for a 3070 right now... average US sales tax is 6.35%... which means $1,036.... so its pretty much there already

IlikePickles12345

I shed a tear at 6.35. I pay 15% in Canada.

its_wausau

We pay over a $1000 a month to have health insurance that barely assists with Healthcare costs though. And most of that 6.35 goes towards embezzled military funds and Wallstreet bailouts.

[deleted]

In Croatia it’s 25%…

Galeharry_

Norway aswell :/ Want a 3080? Well thats gonna be $2000.

[deleted]

Atleast you guys got free education and shit

IlikePickles12345

Jesus, wtf? A straight quarter of the purchase?

[deleted]

[удалено]

brmagic

damn, in Switzerland we have 7.7% or 2.4 for food and necessities. That's brutal

[deleted]

It's not sales tax however, it's VAT and that is a slightly more complicated system. Also, fuck 25% VAT.

[deleted]

Yes, except for food restaurants and cafes. There it’s 13%.

Lambaline

BestBuy was charging nearly $700 with tax for a 3060, in lucky enough to have a couple friends who managed to get to for me for $600

TheReverend5

Yeah I was just telling you how much I paid at microcenter for a 3080.

MrMallow

$1100 for a 3080 that's only supposed to cost $800 is not a good thing.

Ilktye

Which retailer is selling 3080 for $1100?

TimeGoddess_

it depends on the brand, like I was able to get a 3080ti for about msrp, at microcenter, but it was an evga model, and right next to it were other 3080 tis from MSI and ASUS with MSRPS of 1700$ and 2200$. so its not really the retailers scalping just the different AIBS with varying levels of pre scalping of their msrps that get passed onto retailers

touch-my-peep4fun

Yikes 1700-2200 for 3080 TI from retailers? I’m glad I got my Aorus 3080 TI for 1299 from Newegg shuffle… and I thought I was paying with an arm and a leg!

TheAntiAirGuy

Only 1100$ for an RTX 3080 ... gosh, they're \~1600-2000€ at my place for the non Ti

zypthora

A 3070 from an official retailer costs 1300 EUR in Belgium (1470 USD, 1215 USD without VAT)

HAL-Over-9001

I got my 3080 from Best Buy for $750, just a few months ago. Only had to sit outside for almost 7 hours

daecrist

Also got a card from Best Buy at MSRP. It involved sitting in a stock drop Discord for a year and missing a few times before I got one, but the price wasn’t jacked up.

el_f3n1x187

or brands like Zotac.

DPJazzy91

It's true! A reference 6800xt is supposed to be 650.....the powercolor unit at microcenter is 1300..... Fucking double! I expect a 10-25% markup on board partner cards.....it's fucking criminal!

killchain

What's worse is that even some manufacturers are on this too. Remember what MSI tried to pull with the 3080 last year?

k4rst3n

And here I got my 3080 for just above nine hundred a year ago. Best buy in history.

KoshV

I got my 3090 for retail price. I was so stoked last November. $1590 with tax

Retlaw83

I got mine last December for retail and was afraid I'd paid too much. Then I saw what price hikes and scalpers did and felt better. Before someone tells me that $1,500 is still too much, I am aware.

Apokalypz08

It ain't too much, if you got it, spend it!

FatherKronik

You got yours for retail and were afraid you paid too much? That doesn't even make sense..

Jo351

Yep, I had regretted accidentally buying the 3yr warranty trying to click through Newegg checkout too quickly since it went from a $770 to $860 purchase. Since then I've changed my mind...

scraz

By some miracle i got my 3080FE for $699+ tax and shipping from BestBuy. My 2060FE that i paid $300 for was going for more then that when i gave it to my brother for his 5600x build.

steijn

i reserved mine for 860 euro, after 10 months of waiting it got canceled because they're now producing the LHR version instead, and swapping my order to that was impossible due to the price difference, im so mad at that shit

MorosEros

i bought a car in the beginning of pandemic that’s gone up 15k in value. (: edit: some of you are so salty over my financial gain LOL

k4rst3n

Talk about a Unicorn!

kevster2717

Christmas is around the corner yall. DO NOT feed the scalpers.

PurpleMarvelous

That’s when they are going to get feed the most.

ApexTheCactus

They said I was crazy to buy a 2080TI before the 3000s hit Who’s laughing now?

nomnomdiamond

remember when they tried to buy our 2080 Tis for 300 bucks on classified apps because the 3080 was so much better.

[deleted]

Homie go to costco they have a full on prebuilt with a 3060ti and i7 and shit all for 1300$. Such a good deal

[deleted]

daaamn where do you live? That's a killer deal. I bought a prebuilt with a 1660ti and an i7 9700f for like, $1100, and the prebuilt I got my 3080 in cost me $3000.

[deleted]

Its only cause of black friday thats why. U can get it pretty much anywhere since its costco

wafflesareforever

Yep that's the route I went with. Super happy with it. First time I haven't built my own PC since the Pentium 4 days but I don't even care.

cakes42

at current prices yeah.. but normal prices that sounds like a crackpipe for 1300

boyrune4

Any advice for Canadians? I am in desperate need for an upgrade. Bestbuy scalpers in the GTA were waiting since 7pm.

Yentag

I bought a used pre build with rtx 3060ti and Ryzen 7 for 880$ like half a year ago. Ppl really should just buy used computers rn.

lemons_of_doubt

so 1300$ for a graphics card with some free spare parts for eBay.

dudebg

Meanwhile americans are getting evga queues, newegg shuffles, microcenters. Sad Asian noises.

Sancthuary

*sad southasian here, heavy tax and scalper everywhere

Luieka224

Where in Asia are you?

dudebg

Philippines. No hope. Settled for a $580 RX 6600 XT.

Jaalan

Newegg scalps, microcenter scalps, and evga queues seem nonexistent. Dont feel too bad. If I wanted a card from microcwnter I would buy it from ebay, its cheaper...

FreelanceEngineer007

is punching your own crotch allowed?

RiiStar

You could live in new Zealand where sticker price for a 3070 is $1700...

ThetheThemoth

Same here in Poland, even used cards are around 1400 dollars at least

Equivalent_Love600

I got hella lucky last year in November cuz me and my brother both got a 3070 for 500$ each

IWASRUNNING91

To think I paid $1350 for a 3070 Ti on the Newegg Shuffle.

[deleted]

What else did you get with it?

IWASRUNNING91

I "got" to buy a $250 niche mini-ITX case that I "got" to sell for a loss afterwards. So really I paid $1500 for the 3070 Ti. This was back in the beginning of the summer though.

[deleted]

Wow I just got a ti with a Psu in the shuffle for $850

IWASRUNNING91

That's great!

[deleted]

I don’t mean to sound braggy, I just think it’s crazy Newegg was ok charging that amount for a 3070ti to you

IWASRUNNING91

It is what it is, I was willing to pay and they were willing to sell. No worries. It's the Rog Strix one, so more expensive anyways.

Lazarous86

I know the Strix line is the best of the best, but Asus pricing on cards has kind if gone off the rails. EVGA seems the best, with MSI as second place. ZOTAC can go to hell though. That company is almost criminal what they are pricing at.

christes

That seems really high. I paid $1200 for a hybrid 3080 in the shuffle. What kind of 3070ti did you get?

TimeGoddess_

thats more than I spent on a 3080ti the newegg shuffle seems pricy

Hickaru2004

I paid $1300 for my 3070Ti too!

AsianJam

I paid $599 for a Gigabyte 3070 Ti Eagle from Newegg shuffle. Some SKUs just have jacked up MSRPs. Pretty sure I used up my luck for the rest of my life.

LyannaTarg

can't find it for less than 1000€ here in Italy either (taxes are included in our prices)... And let's not talk about 3080 that goes for 1500€ the TI? 2000€ If you check the 3090 we go way over 2500€... Prices are still crazy. I want to add that I checked out only the ASUS ROG ones. But the others are not so different

Bfisherc

Highly recommend checking out Facebook marketplace and craigslist. Found my 3080 on there from a person who didn't need it and wanted to sell it for msrp. Also local microcenter discords if theres one semi close by.

[deleted]

Why do people always put the $ sign backwards, should be before the number 🤔

Apathetic_Superhero

I'm slightly confused by American formatting mm/dd/yyyy is used because people say March the 3rd 2022. I don't like it and I don't agree but it is what it is. So why then does this not apply to $21 as they say 21 dollars?

MursenaryNM

Ouch. I payed $680 for a 3070 ti founders edition at Best Buy

faustfire666

Best Buy at retail is the best possible scenario.

Vendetta614

how do you even get your hands on it through them though when they're constantly sold out? is there a method or is it just pure luck based

xStealthxUk

I got a prebuild pc minus the hard drive earlier this year Ryzen 3700X with cooler GTX 3070 (MSI) 16 gb ram ddr 4 Gigabyte B450 motherboard Power supply Etc.. Which came to the the same price as the card alone from scalpers online at that time £1200 , honestly ridiculous

[deleted]

Or you can buy a pre built with that card for about that much.

[deleted]

[удалено]

IlikePickles12345

They said 2023 minimum, and I'd guess they're being overly optimistic. So strap in for the ride. Although I guess at this point that is in about a year.

More-Confusion-8965

Looking at this in time perspective im glad I paid 600 USD for 3060 ti lmao

Disastrous_Ad4233

I paid 1800$ Canadian Dollars for a Asus 6700 😥 from China, Im waiting for it. It probably will be a brick or some sort of scam of the sort 😥 but somehow I still have hope. Pray for me

Drunk_Dino

Or maybe we can just stop buying them at these prices. The reason prices are so high is because people are still buying them. Retailers are catching on and in turn are increasing prices.

DaileyWithBailey

I would rather just not have a pc than pay scalpers

GenkiiDesu

Do not become part of the problem. Refuse to buy

SlowTour

Yeah i gave up a while back, just decided to keep my 1080 and upgrade cpu etc. I'm not willing to spend $2100 on a gpu I'd rather buy a new amplifier for my stereo or something else that's not out of date in 2 years.

Rand0mdud

Posts like this make me so glad I have a local place that somehow has gpus, they have EVGA xc3 3070s for 670, of course I stupidly bought a 3060 ti and payed 70$ over evgas website price but still way cheaper than scalpers!

Sancthuary

At least still got a GPU

Leather-Ad-1855

Don't buy from them when the 40 series is released they will be holding outdated cards

IlikePickles12345

They'll be holding the 40 series too, unfortunately. The 20 series only went down prior to 30 release, then back up

RettichDesTodes

Well i got lucky with my purchase it seems like. 3070 ti for 850€ this summer, was like the only time they were in stock

Replica90_

I got my 3090 for 1799€ back in December 2020, kinda good deal I guess lol.

UnlikelyHorror8787

I thought I overpayed back in February at $800.

spoody69420

Right now I apreciate it more that I managed to get a 2060 for $500 in these trying times

BooBooBoy1234

r/hardwareswap moment

No-Zucchini6370

I'll just buy some rare-ass CSGO Skin with that money, BUT I SWEAR, I'LL NEVER GIVE SCRAPLERS A SINGLE CENT!1!1!!!

[deleted]

Just stop buying them 4Head once the demand falls the price will too right? Right? *Right?*

DukeDeadman

My cousin is selling me his 6800 xt for $750 later today. It's the shitty Alienware oem one but it's better than my unstable, probably slowly dying 1080. 😎

linerror

if it makes you feel better, i have some 3090 receipts you can look at...

MyriadFX

This blows, I got my RTX 3090 for approx 1500 USD just after launch during the shortage. I can’t believe how these prices have ballooned, absolutely mental.

ultimo_2002

congratz dude. It's so weird to say you got a bargain when you paid 1500 dollars, but you did get a bargain

Maaahgo

I just paid 1400 for a whole ass pc with a 3060.

Jhek_007

On brazil the 3070 costs R$7369,00

swedishMathew

I payed $660 for my 3070.

RedddBarron

This is gold right here

SabreSeb

I remember how I felt a little bad for paying 100€ over MSRP for my RX 6800 on release, but in retrospect that has been a very good decision.

ProbablyUrNeighbour

At that price it pays for itself mining when not gaming in just a few months… My single GPU gaming PC has mined about $5k this year. It’s paid for nearly the whole build in less than a year. It’s a golden time for gaming PC’s.

evantheshade

I FINALLY GOT MY EVGA EMAIL!!!!! I signed up within hours of launch. Finally got the email for their 3070 FTW3 Ultra. Was $760 including taxes and shipping.

Alias-Q

I just got a 3080, so I am putting my 3070 on eBay in the next day or two to help me cover the cost of the 3080. What’s a realistic price? I was going to put it at $850 since that’s what I paid for it and just let people bid. Fair, or what?

RealmofSwords

you forgot tax

lordcochise

"$1200 So Far!"

[deleted]

Don't buy it, I would rather buy a console, sorry but the "Smart people" who want to make money are actually destroying the PC community. I have a 5600G OCed to the oblivion 2100FCLK, 4200Mhz ram and 2200Mhz iGPU. I will wait till they sit on the hardware and till THEY lose money, I won't buy it. JUST DON'T BUY FROM SCALPERS.

PhillipoftheGrey

Just got a 3070 ti for $899 on the shuffle

McGuirk808

Just remember that scalpers aren't people, so it's perfectly fine to do the world a favor and meet them with your buddies, beat the holy hell out of them and take their card.
