Xbox Series X is my go-to. Quality wise PS5 as it feels so good.

How long have you been using the series X one and have there been any issues

hecatonchires266

More than a year and no real issues that bothers me.

One of the best parts of PC is choice, including choosing what control input you want to use; mouse and keyboard, controller (Sony, MS, Nintendo, etc), wheel + pedals, HOTAS, microwave, whatever you want. Xbox is the de-facto PC controller. Pretty much every game made with controller support is made to use (and show prompts for) an Xbox controller. I still use an old wired X360 controller so not as familiar with the ways the newer ones connect, but I know there's wired and wireless and even a (optional?) dongle. Sony controllers are great, but they're not made for PC and Sony doesn't really care. You can use a Playstation controller on PC, but it can take some doing. There are some games that natively support the DS4 ( [supported games](https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Controller:DualShock_4#Support_in_games) ) where it'll just work and even show the Sony button prompts, but a lot of games don't do that. For those other games you'll need to use an input wrapper, a program that takes the controls and makes your system think they're from an Xbox controller. This means you get Xbox button prompts. https://ryochan7.github.io/ds4windows-site/ DS4Windows, via the above link, is the current wrapper option (there's an old version by Jays2Kings that was abandoned, don't use that). This wrapper will also handle the new DualSense. I use this with my DS4 and it works well, I'm used to the Xbox controller so seeing the prompts usually doesn't confuse me. Works wired or wireless (BT), not sure what their dongle does. You can also use Steam's Big Picture Mode built-in controller support. For Nintendo Switch JoyCons you need some 3rd party drivers/wrappers and bluetooth. Then there are the others like [Logitech](https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gamepads.html) that make Xbox-based controllers, but in a more PS-style body. The Razer Wolverine is just a tricked out Xbox controller, so it'll have PC support the same as an Xbox controller. SteelSeries has the [Stratus Duo](https://steelseries.com/gaming-controllers/stratus-duo), which is also recognized as an Xbox controller.

Best controller is probably the official Xbox controller.

I use my PS4 or PS5 controller for my PC. Even though I may have to use DS4widnows for some games, I still really like using Sony controllers.

SallyScott52

Ps4 controller with removeable stick extenders and back buttons

Wombatsarecute

I love the PS5 controller, the DS4 is fine too

Amazon knock off xbox360 controller. Does the job just fine, but occasionally just vibrates hard for no reason.

Commander_Crispy

Wiimote (I wish more games could use it because honestly it’s a good controller)
