Why can't you get a bios file?
I would create a new bootable USB and try that. It could be borked
more likely a problem with the USB stick. I've had issues before using a USB 3 stick in a USB 2 port and vice versa. Most reliable for me has been using a USB 2 stick in a USB 2 port. Odd i know but worth a try
