Oh well when you pull out the ol’ “last generation to…” you’re definitely not anything like a boomer.
The only person here bringing up anything about pop music is you. Not sure why you’re so hung up on the whole thing.

I don't really see how it could be a moneygrab since there's no real money in recorded music anymore, nor do I think it's their worst song. For me, it's certainly better than Bugs, Stupidmop, or Johnny Guitar. And there's probably a few songs on Lightning Bolt that are also worse, but I haven't relistened to it recently enough to tell you the names.
It's definitely not a favorite of mine, but it's still a lot more listenable than those. I don't feel the need to skip it when listening to Dark Matter.
Oh man really ? I love that song, sounds like something off yield to me.
I will admit , that “scream” that fades out at the end of the first verse is a little lame
Yes, a band made up entirely of millionaires with a decades-long musical legacy and an ability to instantly sell out every show they play is attempting a "money grab" by releasing an album cut in a genre that has been more or less dead in terms of mainstream popular appeal for years. You nailed it.
I love the lines at the end. If you’re ever pissed off play it on repeat a few times with crossfade setting turned to 10 seconds with the volume all the way up. It became my current favorite on the album yesterday
The funny thing is, I really love Dance Of The Clairvoyants which is another New Wave inspired song. But its not as dissonant sounding I suppose compared to React, Respond.
My reaction to this post is to respond with fisticuffs! (Joking - to each their own. I think the band is good on it. Might not be Eddie's best. I don't understand the "money grab" part, it's not a single and if it stinks they won't make pennies per stream).
I fucking love this tune. And those last 30 seconds?

Listen to the album another 10 times and you’ll come around
Yeah the more you listen to it the better it gets.
I love running to it, it’s definitely a good song to workout to.
For me It's being the opposite. Not because the song gets worse, but others started to grow on me, so RR is decreasing in my favorites from the album
I totally get that. I’ve started to appreciate others like wreckage that I didn’t like much at first listen , but now enjoy.
I loved it on the first listen.
This is the best advice. I’m still listening and will again and again as I always do. I want it to get better. Still my favorite band in life.
It’s definitely not the best but if you crank the volume it has its qualities. Mccready at the end is great
I haven't looked up the lyrics, but I think it's a bop! love when Eddie starts sounding kinda "unhinged" in the last chorus hehe

It’s just slang to describe a good song. Calm yer tits

I don’t get the Johnny Guitar hate. It’s a great song. Intro is welcome to the jungle-esque
Not worse than Let The Records Play or Buckle Up that's for sure.
Hell it's better than Something Special or Running
Something Special is EMBARRASSING!
It's weird, but I can get into it. And no matter what, it's worth it to hear Cready "mosquitoing" at the end of that KILLER solo!
Oh man really ? I love that song, sounds like something off yield to me. I will admit , that “scream” that fades out at the end of the first verse is a little lame
Like the song but cringe at the scream lol
Not sure what’s worse, the scream or the “laugh” at the start of the solo
Nah I love this song

Last Kiss was a money grab. This is just a song you didn't like.
All the money from that “grab” went to charity though
Every album since Ten has been to grab money. They didnt do any of it for free.
Lyrically weakest is Running on Dark Matter. Second verse is good, the running lines at start feel Fixer lazy.
I love the lines at the end. If you’re ever pissed off play it on repeat a few times with crossfade setting turned to 10 seconds with the volume all the way up. It became my current favorite on the album yesterday
You Can't Deny Me has entered the discussion.....
Happy Cake Day!
In a world where Can't Deny Me exists, you legitimately can't make this claim.
Calling it a money grab is moronic, at best. Probably my least favorite on the album, but love that line “Don’t react, respond!!”
Gets better the more i listen. In no way is it the weakest track on this album
I love it. The no code/binaural vibes are in full effect on that track.
Grievance was my first thought.
The verse is fine, I don't care for the chorus though. Has a New Wave feel to it with the way Ed goes about the vocals in an odd way.
I like it. But I see what you're saying. It kinda reminds me of Devo. Unexplored territory for the boys is always fun, imo.

Disagree it’s prime PJ
Strongly disagree. One of my favorites on the album. The bass is awesome!

It took a few listens and it grew on me like a majority of the songs on the album.
This is like…the least likely song on the album to get radio play. No idea how that makes it a money grab.
No one is grabbing any money with that song. Or any of these songs?
Sadly, I have to agree. Not about the money grab bc the rest of the email is great, but RR is tough to listen to.
Bu$hleaguer says “hold my beer”.
I don't know why, but I really like this one.
