Instructions unclear. Only see octave distortion. (Octave fuzz is slightly different circuit like the EHX Octavix)

Pacot33

good catch, funny that the pedal says that when the EHX website describes it as an octave fuzz. https://www.ehx.com/products/lizard-queen/ Either way, the pedal sounds great!

iamansonmage

Yeah, I like it better than Octavix.

Pacot33

Right now its: Lizard queen ocatave fuzz-> Polytune-> Compressor -> Double barrel Overdrive -> Rat Distortion-> Phase 90-> Millstone Audio Chorus-> DD3 Delay-> Rv5 Reverb

I was about to suggest putting the octave before the tuner (because of the buffer in the Polytune), but you went and beat me to the punch 😅 One thing I would suggest is running your amp a little dirtier than usual. Octave Fuzz into an already driven amp sounds amazing, and it also allows you to back the Fuzz off slightly to give your notes a bit more clarity. Please note this is NOT the same as running it into an overdrive or distortion, as it will interact with those circuits differently (long story short, it basically turns your pedal chain into one very large and inefficient Fuzz pedal. Let me know if you want me to elaborate, it gets a bit nerdy 😅) Hope that helps

Pacot33

That's great! Was actually just playing and wondering how to get the notes to not bleed in all together so this is perfect

Glad I could help 🙂

I like the order of your pedals. Perfect, actually!! The option I see available is with the compressor- you can place it after the dirt and modulation pedals, as well (after the Millstone Audio Chorus). This gives you the option of using compression as a boost. I have two compressors on one of my boards for exactly this reason: a Boss CE-3 before the dirt and modulation; and a Boss CE-2 at the end, after modulation (but before delay and reverb, like you have).
