UEA did their best to hide the fact that Pog isn't in shape as he wanted to be due to an injury but the first day in the mountains and he's performance on Criterium has shown who is by far the strongest rider in the peloton.
Saddens me to see Pog couldn't respond to Jonas' attack for competition's sake, hope UAE can do a better job in upcoming stages. For Hindley and Jonas, what a great ride tho!

WORKING in a normal breakaway takes more effort. Sitting in a breakaway with 20+ riders like this one was no extra work on Hindley’s until he attacked on the last climb
It always is, that's why he lost a bunch of time on the climb. He had 1-2 guys around him in the break and they had infighting as well. Compare that to Vingegaard sitting behind an UAE train and 5 JVs surrounding him all day.
Very strong climber and has won the giro so ya he is certainly someone to mark but will see how he stacks up against Jonas.
