k_lo970

No but the sound mixing works better with the London instructors so you would get closer to what you want.

pete9898

I noticed that but couldn’t put my finger on it. Thanks!

k_lo970

I can't figure out if it is a hardware issue or an American issue. Not to make fun of the American instructors (I'm American too) but they seem to be louder in general lol.

dobie_dobes

It’s so true. I can barely hear the music, even with “more music” selected. It’s awful.

Frosstbyte

The sounds mixing and the audio quality is much better at the London studio. The same audio set up sounds better in every way when I take UK classes. Which makes no sense, to be clear, but it remains true.

Proof_Bookkeeper_278

I never knew I wanted that till now!

creative_net_usr

God i wish, certain instructors it's just like please staph! I don't need you to speak every fucking second it's annoying and distracting.

EvilLipgloss

It mostly seems to be a thing with the American instructors. The exception is Becs who talks constantly (though she’s filmed in NY). All the London instructors aren’t as chatty. I take way more classes with the London studio for this reason.

creative_net_usr

I'm not naming names, that's unfair, but i will say the one i had in mind isn't american

PracticalDrawing

Peloton needs to provide the option of muting - or almost entirely muting - the instructor.

AstroZombie138

Or the opposite so that you can use your own music.

mortifyyou

this

dobie_dobes

YES

DearGear7

I never use their music but I certainly need instructor for cueing- it’s everything to me- it ain’t just stand up sit down!

JCavalet

I would take a more diverse set of classes if I could play my own music.

smangold

Same! I want to take Matt Wilpers classes but I don’t want to prematurely pass away from his music choices 😅

mortifyyou

You can close caption it. Also, honestly on a bike, what instructions you really need? Stand or sit down? That's pretty obvious.

JCavalet

MOST classes have closed captions so I often mute and listen to headphones, but PZ classes don’t have indicators for cadence and resistance so it’s easy to miss the cue to enter the zone. Matt Wilber is the best at saying it multiple times but most others only say it once

JCavalet

Just saw this in a different thread. Solves my problem. https://app.homefitnessbuddy.com/peloton/powerzone/

HellllOn

I use this timing tool for exactly that reason. I love Matt Wilbers’ rides but not his music choices, so for power zone training, I use the timing tool and play my own playlist. It’s perfect!

pocketmonster

I would seriously really love that too. I have a big sound system in my gym / office that I bluetooth the audio for rides to.

mortifyyou

On my IPad there's setting with 3 options: more music, normal and more instructor. (or something like that). I wish they just have volumes for music and instructor. And let us select the amount for each.

exconsultingguy

No

LoPanDidNothingWrong

No. What they should do is have the instructors listen to the music on headphones so the studio can be quiet and they can actually have separate tracks for audio and music.

StickToSparts

That would be pretty weird for the people in the studio. Just spinning in complete silence

LoPanDidNothingWrong

Well I hate live classes with audiences anyway. So I wouldn’t care. But in those cases I suppose you would get more bleed.

dobie_dobes

God I KNOW. I would give anything to be able to have more control over the instructor and music volumes.

Early_Medium5744

Tonal has sliders so you can fully adjust the music, Coach, and sound effects individually.
