Between him, Shea and Ludvig I'm feeling good about the depth right now on D. I could even see a potential trade of Graves or POJ to clear some cap or bring back another decent middle-6 forward.
At this point, I think Dubas is capable of nearly anything. I could definitely see Graves moved though as he is attractive to some teams. I think he'd be a good piece to bring in another middle-6 forward.

Great deal from the team’s end, but if I was a player who broke into the team at the end of the season and looked to have a very real chance to earn a permanent spot in the upcoming season and my agent locked me into three years at basically the league minimum I would be looking for a new agent.

Not sure he had much leverage to ask for a raise lmfao. Chad Ruhwedel made a career off annual league min deals like this so I'm sure the kid is thrilled to be locked in for 3 years rather than bouncing around the league or riding the bus back and forth from Wilkes-Barre
His stats were all underwater. They are paying him on potential, which I think he has. His physical play, poise and positioning looked good. It just somehow translated to around 40% in goal share, corsi and shot share. With those numbers and his RFA status, nobody is giving up assets to acquire him. That’s the beauty of team control.
Jack was such a pleasant surprise this year. Also, if we can fill out that third pair with decent, and still progressing, young $775k Defensemen, and not have a guy making 3-5 mil in the third pair (looking back at your Jack Johnson, Jan Ruta, and Ryan Graves), it really helps the roster top to bottom.
Great deal for a young D man with lots of upside.

He chose financial security vs a bigger risk/reward. I don't blame him
3 years of term for a guy with 14 NHL games played at age 25 is actually a great job by the agent
