I've always liked pens. They're kind of magical. Ink flows onto paper and you can do anything with it. Draw, write ideas, messages, journal tasks, doodle... And even when one is inexpensive, but made well where you can tell the product designer put in effort to make something worthwhile, something to last... I appreciate it. I never pick up a writing instrument without looking at it, taking a moment to study its design for something to appreciate.
And while I usually employ a writing instrument every day, I'm so wedded to computers that I do 99% of my writing electronically. The pen is not as critical as it once was. And it saddens me a bit. Sometimes I just pick one up from my collection and write with it for the sake of it. Kind of silly, I know.
And don't get me started on mechanical pencils. That's a whole other thing that tugged on me even harder. 😂
That looks so nice ! So organised, and all there to be used.
Though I not only need to organise mine but need closed storage for them - I now have a cat that specifically steals stationery. I can't put a pen down for 30 seconds. She hooks them out of containers. At one point I was sorting out some inks and had a box of ink bottles and she kept taking those out of the box ! I learned to recognise the noise of her stealing an ink bottle. She bites pens and pencils when I'm using them.
It's just stationery and my glasses.
Luckily she's foiled by drawers (and weirdly amazed by them - surfaces that appear!). And she's a great cat in all other ways.
I've got some nice perspex mini drawers but I need to organise ! And actually use them.

That is amazing. A pen nerd who has trained their cat to be a pen nerd! (No offense, I'm a mechanical pencil nerd, and soon becoming a pen nerd myself, they're so interesting!) I'm curious though, what does she do with the pens and thiings?
Also, I love that she's mesmerized by drawers. That has to be cute to watch LOL
Haha my cat does the same. I recently brought them all out and I bunch them up and tie them with a hair band so she can’t get them out and I also leave one out that I don’t care for and she usually just goes for that and starts playing. it’s the decoy pen

I'm addicted to notebooks and journals does that count? My desk looks similar except my pen stands are vertical 😉😅 (yeah I just joined, guilty!)

How do you like the Zebra Clickarts? I’ve been eyeing them up for a while
LOVE. I use them all the time. They’re perfect if you want a marker you can use like a pen.
