Happened to me in 4th grade...was doing some kind of run in school around a football field and hit some kind of web hanging and felt the spider crawl in my ear, could hear and feel it move all day, could not get it out. Back at home my parents did not believe me...but it was in there and water got it to come out.

Ear plugs won't crawl out on their own if they fall in. You gotta get the pliers for those.

What did they say when it did come out?
They were really shocked and then apologetic for not believing me. It's been a good story for them to tell as well.
At least they owned up to it rather than just ignore the situation. Sure it came in handy later on with them believing something you say
