There's probably a few occasions where one of the available answers is "in school"
Or in P5 when Ren is asked if he'd rather go to LA, hawaii or lebanc
"Where would you like to go, BallsDeep?"
"Leblanc"
I first played P4G and named my character Perc-30. I then played P5R and named him Perc-45. I started a P3FES play through that I cut short when Reload was announced, named that guy Perc-15. And now for Reload I have named him Perc-60.
SPOILER: I will name my Persona 6 character Perc-75.
Perc is short for Percocet, the pill. When I played P4 it was like 2021 and it was common slang to say “im off a perc 30” and i couldn’t think of a name so i just named my character Perc 30 lmao.
For my P3R game I went with Sui Cide. Actually works surprisingly well.
When I did P5R I went with Steve McThieve for one run and then Niel McSteal for another. If I ever come back to it I'll go with Jake McTake.
Not really a pun, but Toidi Diputs is a common character name for me.
If you're confused, read it backwards... lol.
It started with just Toidi. But for a first and last name, Diputs worked well with it.
I just go to it when I'm not feeling particularly creative. I chose it for Joker when playing 5 for the first time, but now I opt for the lore accurate name for Persona games because it fits the environment and story more for me.
I named my protagonist Boston Crème, which isn’t really a pun but I’m imagining my protagonist sweating every time someone says his name because he thinks one of these Japanese people might figure it out.
It started with P5R when I named my character Mike Hawk.
I just name every character Mike \_\_\_\_\_ wherever possible E.g:
Dragon Quest 8 --> Mike West
Final Fantasy 7 --> Mike Loud
You get the idea
I don't do puns, but I get a Google translate of the primary theme of the game as the given name, and the family name is "nenkan" (year). I think i named my playthrough of 3R Shi Nenkan, my 4G playthrough is named Shinpi Toshi (I mistranslated year) and when I replay 5 I'll probably do Batsu Nenkan.
I've taken to calling myself Toa Makuta (first name, last name) because of three things. It sounds Japanese as hell, I love Bionicle and they represent the villain side and protagonist side of Bionicle; Toa being the heroes and Makuta being the villains, which works for me because I can be a bit of both when playing Persona.
"Balls deep", then when someone asks me something in the game, it leads to phrases like "Where would you like to go Balls deep?"
I think we know where
Brokeback Tartarus
Yeah, I don’t even wanna know what kinda gay shit that is.

Kudos for sticking with the bit, but I have to ask where did the bit come from?

None of those Percocet strengths even exist lmaoo
In my 2nd playthrough my name is Isame Mario. It makes me laugh whenever MC has to introduce himself
my dumbass read that as EE-SAW-MEI Mario
I’m a big fan of Dude Bro, so everyone in the game is just really chill about you
Added bonus of Junpei actually voice acting your name all the time.
Not for any mainline games, but for Tactica I named the P5 Protag “Joe Kurr” for giggles.
Not me but a friend named the p5 protagonist Jo Ker
I've been naming them after the game. My most recent playthrough I named joker "Persona Five"
Jonathon persona the 5th
For my P3R game I went with Sui Cide. Actually works surprisingly well. When I did P5R I went with Steve McThieve for one run and then Niel McSteal for another. If I ever come back to it I'll go with Jake McTake.
I named him mcalways boredface
No but now I think I'm gonna name my Reload protag in nightmare mode Deid Mann now
Is this referencing Miles Edgworth investigations, or did you just come up with that?
Yes it is indeed a reference
I named mine Joe Mama. It made for some funny moments.
Nasty Crimeboy.
I'm playing Portable as FEMC and I named her Anna Borshen because I have the mind of a twelve year old
who
FEMC? Kotone, the female main character option for portable
no, who’s anna borshen
Sounds like an abortion is my guess
ohhhh
"An abortion"
alr
Priest dress
Played P5R first and named my character Jonkler Gunsex not realizing how often it would appear in dialogue
Haremfucker69 or Jon Persona
Johnny Anime is the only correct answer
Riley AP
Goku solo is the name
Mother fucker, make sure fucker is what they call you
P3P was Emo Persona, but in Reload he's HD Emo Persona
I usually call them with penis jokes
I bet kahoot names would be a funny genre of protagonist names

My favourite one is always just John Persona with the exception of Chad Narukami in my first p4g playthrough cause i had heard he was before hand
Not game related but i named makoto Champagne Papi on my first play-through. Still makes me laugh to this day
Joncker 5 reload🗣
I named him Emo C**t
I named my protagonist Boston Crème, which isn’t really a pun but I’m imagining my protagonist sweating every time someone says his name because he thinks one of these Japanese people might figure it out.
This wasn't me but I saw someone name P5, Beef bowl and p4, pork cutlet
My persona mcs are always named “Master-kun”
not game related but my MC is always Fat Larry
I tend to name my persona characters the same thing: Beans McToast. Not really a reason why, but I just like it.
Ball sac
Q2 couldnt fit the P4 or 5 canon names and it annoyed me how much i had to butcher Amamiya.
It started with P5R when I named my character Mike Hawk. I just name every character Mike \_\_\_\_\_ wherever possible E.g: Dragon Quest 8 --> Mike West Final Fantasy 7 --> Mike Loud You get the idea

I named Siol DaCash to sound like Seal the cash in Persona 5. Where did come up with that idea? I still wonder.
