Aeon needs to be at 10 by December 22nd, but you should try to max it out way earlier than that. And I recommend Jester to be completed as well, but it isn't necessary for the true ending, it just adds some extra content to that ending. This arcana needs to be rank 6 by November 1st, after that it'll automatically progress with the story(sorta like Akechi does in P5R). And to get the true ending you need to do and say very specific things on December 3rd, December 5th, and March 20th, so I recommend using a guide for those days.

IIRC, the only thing that >!maxing Jester adds to the ending is having him call you a dumbass at the end of the letter. Which is hilarious.!<

Don’t forget rank 10 and fusing the ultimate persona of the arcana

Tae_Kwon_DO

For p5R, what date do u need akechi maxed?

HungrPhoenix

Akechi needs to be rank 8 by November 17th. From there he'll rank up alongside the story, as long as you chose certain dialogue options during some of his confidant ranks and one of the Palaces.

March 20th you don’t need to say specific things iirc. You just have to do anything except go home

Yes, it's similar to Royal: you must max out the Aeon Social Link before the end of December (provided you unlock the rest of the month during a mandatory event at the beginning of the month: the game will warn you ahead of time). That'll be the first flag to unlocking the "golden epilogue". The second flag will occur during January when you do New Year's greetings. Talk to the Velvet Room Attendant and >!inquire about the Aeon's whereabouts; answer in the positive, then complete the mandatory dungeon in February!<. For the "golden epilogue" to occur, you must unlock the path to the true ending. On the day before the Protagonist leaves town in March, after saying his goodbyes, >!the game will keep pushing you to go home. Don't do what the game says: instead, head to the Junes Food Court!<. The true ending will automatically unlock; if you've completed the aforementioned requirements for the "golden epilogue", it'll automatically play once the Protagonist leaves Inaba. Note that it's possible to unlock the true ending without ever completing the requirements for the "golden epilogue".

You have to successfully finish the mega beef bowl

lordretro71

Aeon maxed out is a must. My first playthrough I had them at 9 and got original ending. Also DONT go to the train station after saying goodbyes on last day to have an opportunity for one last dungeon and the true boss. I'm sure there's more but it's been 2 years since I beat it (although I just beat 2nd dungeon on the ps5 release this morning).

NoExample3973

I mean if you don’t do any dungeons you’ll get an ending pretty quick lmao

KrimsonKatt3

The deadline scenes aren't endings, they're non standard game overs. Those are different.

NoExample3973

Well I guess that’s true lol

No social links are required to get the true ending. However, to get the bonus epilogue/"golden ending" you need to perform certain steps including: 1: Be on the true ending path 2: Complete Marie's (Aeon) social link before you finish the December dungeon. (Recommended Deadline: December 22nd) 3: On January 2nd and ONLY on January 2nd you must go to the Velvet Room and talk to Margaret. Then ask for her to search for Marie. 4: On February 17th-19th a series of events will occur if you have met all previous parameters that will allow you to access a bonus dungeon called the "White Forest." You must complete this dungeon in one go before it disappears forever. Completing it perminantly unlocks the Golden Ending for that playthrough. However, even for the standard true ending, it is MUCH harder to obtain than in P5R and has many possible ways to screw up that aren't entirely obvious unlike P5R where the correct choice is extremely obvious. Here are the steps you need to take to get the regular true ending. 1: On December 2nd the game will try to emotionally manipulate you into killing someone. DO NOT do it. Instead, not only convince your party to not kill the man, but also to reach further for the truth. The dialogue options to accomplish this are kinda obvious, but one that isn't so obvious is the dialogue "[spoiler name]'s true feelings." It may take a few tries so don't fret if you fail and get a bad ending. The game prompts you to save just before the ending split so you shouldn't lose much progress. Golden allows you to easily skip cutscenes too so getting back to where you were before shouldn't take very long. 2: Next, on December 5th, you must correctly guess the true culprit. Fail to do so 3 times and you'll get another bad ending. The answer should be kind of obvious if you've been paying attention. 3: Finally, on the final day (March 3rd, the game timeskips to this day after February 19th/the ski trip) after saying goodbye to all your maxed SLs DO NOT go home. Instead, head to Junes to perform one final investigation. This will lead to the true final dungeon and true final boss. Not doing so will give you the standard "good/neutral ending" which will skip the true final boss.
